Default Green Tea

Does it really make you lose weight? We have loads of it at home but everyone told me it's very disgusting. But if it really works I'm willing to try..

Not really. The only real study done involved a very small group of people (I think it was 10 men) and they found that if they drunk 4 cups of green tea per day every single day, they could lose a total of 8 pounds over the course of a whole year. You'd have to really like green tea, lol.

There are a lot of types of green teas. Some taste grassy, smoky, slightly fruity, etc. I have found several varieties that I like. I don't drink it for weight loss, but for the antioxidants in it that are good for you in so many other ways. I buy all of my tea from Adagio.com

I use Green Tea Extract which comes in a little dropper bottle. I think 1 dropper is the equivalent of 20 cups of tea. Sometimes I only use 1/2 a dropper.

Add 1 dropper to a few ounces of club soda, water, juice, etc. I've been told that the tablets are worthless and it only works in liquid form. I find it tastes nice and I'm not a tea drinker or fan of iced tea either. I just put it in 2-3 oz at the bottom of a glass of club soda or water I'm finishing and gulp it right down. I get mine at Vitamin Shoppe and it's the Herbasway brand. I've used other brands and the only thing I've been told is to make sure there are no additives in it.

Losing 5-8 lbs over a year - or more important - not gaining 5-8 lbs over a year is a great thing...at least for me

I drink tons of green tea. Republic of Tea's are my favorites. I'm not sure if I can attribute any weight loss to them. I also drink for the antioxidant benefits ~ I haven't been sick all winter!
