Can someone please kick me in the rear so I can get consistent with exercise? I've only been averaging 2X per week, and I really need to be doing cardio 4-5x per week, along with some strength training. I'm just being so LAZY! I don't know what my problem is.

I am holding off on the heavy stuff again, I went to do one of the exercises the other day and got a golf ball size knot right around the right side of my rib cage. I took that as almost doing something BAD and stopped immediately. I will keep on my walking everyday for a couple of weeks before attempting the weight bearing stuff again.

OK... got back in the gym this weekend (after a week out due to bad weather, undriveable roads and TOM) Saturday I did 45minutes elliptical, 30 treadmill (alpine pass mode, my new fav) 20 stairmaster 30 weights. Yesterday I did 45 Alpine mode on treadmill, 30 elliptical. Not sure what I'm gonna do to day but I've got an hour this morning so something good I hope!

I picked up the remote more then i care to share...(bad back)

02-19-2007, 08:03 PM
Today I did 55 minutes on the elliptical.

Tiffany, you just have to force yourself at first. Seriously, it becomes an addiction after a while! So force yourself to put in those 4 to 5 times a week of cardio, and after a while you'll crave it. I always heard people say that but I didn't believe it until it happened to me!

02-20-2007, 12:35 AM
Today I did 60 minutes on my bike again..........I have to say some days I still have to push myself to get on the darn thing, and other days I can't wait.........but overall I just feel really proud of myself when I can say I did it..........so just keep pushing yourself, you will get there!!!

02-20-2007, 12:44 AM
Hey everyone. :) Today I did 60 minutes of water aerobics.. Hopefully after dinner it'll be another 10 minutes on the treadmill! :D

02-20-2007, 12:46 AM
A 4 mile walk. 1 mile more than I did last week.

02-20-2007, 08:30 AM
2 miles on the eliptical. I'm so envious of you "60 minuters"...I'm just working my way up one lap per week....hopefully I'll join you soon!

02-20-2007, 09:54 AM
wow ! you guys are amazing !:)

I took a spinning class today (45 min) and will walk back home instead of taking the subway, so it will be another 45 min... :) I feel so much better when I exercize !!

Thanks Lisa and Marion!

I forced myself this morning and did WATP. I feel so good. I love how much energy exercising in the AM gives me. I'll just focus on that. Tomorrow I will get up early and do Turbo Jam.

02-20-2007, 08:18 PM
I went to Curves tonight - before I go to bed I will work on my stomach....

02-20-2007, 09:04 PM
2.5 mile run

02-20-2007, 10:31 PM
I walked a mile outside. That's it. Blah, but I did SOMETHING.

02-21-2007, 09:49 PM
I did Walk Away The Pounds - 2 miles

I also worked on my stomach.......

02-21-2007, 09:56 PM
I did Turbo Jam Turbo Sculpt. And I finished the whole tape on the first try! I can't believe that. It's a great sculpting workout. I'd rather do this than just lift, so I'm going to do this 2-3 times per week. :)

02-22-2007, 12:22 PM
Great job, Tiffany! :)

I forgot to post yesterday. I ran 2 miles with a friend, and then I still had energy so I did another mile on the treadmill at the gym! I'm proud of myself because I did this even though it's my TOM and I had cramps!

Tonight I'm going to attempt to build my speed a little by doing speed intervals on the treadmill, and I'm going to try for 3 miles total. I can run 3 outside, but the treadmill wears me out faster. We'll see what happens!

02-22-2007, 03:00 PM
Lisa, you are my inspiration! I would like to run one day, and now I know I can do it. :)

02-22-2007, 04:52 PM
:woohoo: I actually worked out today! 60 minutes on the treadmill. I looked back through the posts and the last time I worked out was 02/07...two weeks ago....and it was at least a week before that....so, I've only worked out 1 time in the last three weeks. No wonder the scales were starting to stall!

2 miles on the eliptical and 1 mile Walk Away the Pounds video. :carrot:

Way to get back into it, GG!

02-22-2007, 09:46 PM
Everyone's doing so great!! :)

Rhonda, great job on getting back into it, and you got back into it in a BIG way -- 60 minutes!!

Tiffany, you can DEFINITELY run one day. I always thought I needed to wait until I was thin or something, but that wasn't the case at all. And now I love it!

I did my speed intervals on the treadmill tonight, and I managed to run all three miles without stopping. I was sweating so much I couldn't help thinking, "Surely I'm hitting Onederland about now!"

02-22-2007, 09:59 PM
I did my Biggest Loser workout -

I chose the warm-up, Bob's bootcamp, Cardio max and my DH called during the cool down - so my daughter kept going without me.... LOL Oh well - missed 4 minutes of it....

She is my pride and joy - if I don't feel like working out by myself - she jumps right in and there are days that she is telling me "Why did you workout without me?" She is really good for me.....

Penney, my 8 year old son is motivating me as well. We are LOVING Turbo Jam right now!

Tonight I did the 20 minute Turbo Jam cardio as well as 10 minutes of Ab Jam. Tomorrow I want to try TJ Cardio Party.

02-23-2007, 09:46 PM
Tonight I did a 75 minute bodysculpting class.

I only had time to do a quick 45 minutes on the eliptical and some ab work, but it felt great to at least get something in this morning!

02-24-2007, 12:44 PM
2 miles on the eliptical....today was my last 2 mile day....tomorrow I bump up to 2.25....:)

02-24-2007, 01:24 PM
Forgot to post yesterday. Did 60 minute walk on the treadmill again. Yeah!

02-24-2007, 05:09 PM
Today I did a 4.25 mile run/walk and thought I might die. I can run 4 miles, I've done it before, but I can't when there are crazy hills like there were today! I clearly need to work on that! Had to take several walk breaks.

Then I did a 10-minute segment on a DVD -- stretching using the stability ball.

I went to the gym this morning and did some abs on the ball, 30 minutes on the precor and 30 on the treadmill (both running and walking at an incline). My average heart rate was 165 which is ideal for me yay!

02-24-2007, 09:23 PM
I've never posted here, mainly because I've never actually exercised while trying to lose weight, and that never really works does it?

But! I went on a 1.5 mile hike with my husband today. We were in Chimney Rock, NC on a little trip, and I wanted to see the waterfall! We used to do things like this all the time, and I was so upset that I almost didn't make it to the falls. This has really cemented my choice to get rid of this weight! :D

Kitten - it seems like we each one have had a "this is it" moment. Mine was when my father in law started discussing a family trip to Italy. I just knew there was no way I was going to huff and puff my way around Rome!

Glad you're joining us!

02-25-2007, 01:18 AM
sorry I've been so lazy with my posting!
I've been at the gym regularly...biggest change from the usual...I started running..not much...3-4 minute bursts with brisk up hill walking in between...but its a lot seeing as how I haven't actually run since i was in high school! My a$$ is killing me...but in a good way!

02-25-2007, 01:23 AM
Honestly? I have done jack crap dookie, ALL WEEK! Well, I walked 4 miles on Monday, 1 mile on Tuesday, and um, pretty much nothing until today. I suck.

Ok, done with THAT. I did take the breathing, spitballs of Satan to the local flea market today, we walked for about 45 minutes. Then, we came home and played soccer in the yard for 30 minutes or so today.

02-25-2007, 09:29 PM
Today I did the following:

35 minutes cardio kickboxing video
40 minutes stability ball workout (upper body, lower body, core, and flexibility)
60 minutes yoga DVD

I feel like I was very thorough today! :carrot:
