My goal is a big one for me..........My birthday is the 16th of March, so what better present to myself then losing my 10%........so my goal is to lose 10lbs by the 17th, which actually falls on my normal weigh in day, how awesome is that!!!

Marion thanks for getting this started!
I actually did pretty good with the Sweetheart Challenge and surpassed my goal and lost 18 lbs. I think short challenges really work for me.
My St patties day goal is 8.4 lbs. Yes a weird number, but it would take me to 205. I haven't seen the low 200s in probably 9 years. That would be thrilling if I could be there in the next month!

I've never done one of these, so I guess I make my own goal & then on St Pattys Day, see if i've accomplished it?
.... My goal is to lose 2kg before then. I have my first have-i-lost-anything weigh in tonight, so if I lose 500g each week (tonight included) I shoudl reach that goal....
ETA: okay, I change my goal to be losing 5kg, because I lost 1.6kg in the last week! LOL... 2kg won't be enough of a 'push' for me

I'd love to be part of an official goal! I already made a ticker for my own st. patty's day challenge... it's to lose 5 pounds. I am losing at an extremely slow rate, so I think that's realistic for me for one month. I hope this helps with my motivation... thanks!!

Hmmm, I'm not sure what I want to go for! I'd love to be at my next 10% for St. Paddy's day, but that would be a 10 pound loss in a little less than a month, which may not be realistic. I think I'll go for 8 pounds, and maybe I'll surprise myself!

Kelly..........did you set mini goals for yourself, of a decreasing 10%? Thats what I did. I needed some what to break it up.......and figured that if I just kept losing 10% it was doable...........But then I also set fun mini challenges as well, like the sweetheart challenge, and now the st paddys day challenge...talk to you soon.

I wasn't thinking when I made this goal and didn't realize how unrealistic it may be for me since it's not a month long one, kwim?? So I'm changing it to 6lbs!! that will get me at a nice even number at least too.. Anything over tht is a plus too!! ;)

Marion, yes, I started with 10% goals. I thought if I could just lose that first 10%, I could do anything. I still track the 10%'s in my Daily Diary, but on here I usually do the smaller monthly challenges. It's a little easier to see the light at the end of the tunnel when that tunnel is only 4 or 5 weeks!

Down .6 at weigh in this morning. That's on the smaller side for me, but last week I had lost 4.8 due to a nasty bout of stomach flu. I was actually expecting to stay the same or gain a smidge this week because I reintroduced food to my body after not eating for 3 days, and I thought that would throw everything out of whack. Needless to say, I'm happy with the loss!

Hi Kelly, hope your feeling better..........I had that nasty stomach thing about 3 weeks ago, and it was awful!!!!! My body freaked out and thats the week I went up .4 but I knew why I went up so I was able to keep my focus and get back the the losing game :D I love having the holiday mini challenges, it makes it more fun.............like I said the losing "game" I will be playing this game forever, though, weight for me will always be an issue, it is something I am always going to have to make sure I keep a good attitude and make good choices.........

How awesome is that??? :D
So with that being said... I am doing the St. Patty's Day Challenge, but starting afresh today with giving myself 8lbs to lose by then!! I think that's pretty do-able!!! :D If it ain't, I'll change it once I see its not... :). Sooo... yay for me!! hehe

Marion, Thank you, yes I'm feeling much better. In fact, I feel human again! LOL! I have noticed though that the exercise has been kicking my butt ever since I got sick, so while I feel better, my body must still be recooperating.
Sweetcakes, way to go on reaching 20 pounds lost! Good for you!

Hey everyone! Well I went to weigh in this morning and am happy to report I lost 3 lbs! I was nervous about going because 2 weeks ago my scale that I had only had for 3 months stopped working. I was without a scale for 1 week, finally replaced it, wanted to throw the new scale out the window because it was showing a gain of 2 lbs, and then today realized my new scale just stinks!! It weighs heavy!
So anyway....after all that, I am a happy girl today!

I had a pretty good week and am down an additional 1.8 lbs making my total 4.8 for the St Patties day challenge! I'm pretty happy with that so far. I have now lost a total of 48 pounds and am exactly half way to my personal goal of 160. (my WW goal is 169)
Keep going everyone!!!

Regina, you are doing awesome, keep up the good work!!
I am down 2.2 pounds this week! YIPPEE!! I've had a couple weeks where I was down 1 pound, .8 of a pound, etc., so it's exciting to get back to the numbers I'm used to. I think I definitely need to get back to the basics and re-read my week one materials so I can keep this pace! Have a good week, all!

Kelly Way to go!!!! I was wondering how you are adjusting to your new weight? Is it weird sometimes for you? Or am I the only one who has moments when I forget that I have lost weight? For example, I will be reading messages on here and be thinking, "wow, I can't wait until I weigh what that person does," and I don't even realize at first that I weigh less than that! And when I am out shopping I just automatically head for the plus size section and start looking at the size 20's. Not even realizing I can find clothes in the "normal" section now.
I love my weightloss and have formed many new lifestyle changes, but I don't even realize it is for real sometimes. Yes, I am probably just weird.... :)

Well, I have .800g to go until I reach my goal - but my weigh in isn't until the 19th lol, so I might reach it just after St Pattys' day, officially
I have lost 4.2kg since i started WW 1 month ago!

Regina, all I can say is that it is weird! I look in the mirror sometimes and think, ugh, when will I lose this weight? It's like some days I see it and am so happy, and other days it just doesn't register that 70 pounds are gone. I'll look at something in the store and think no way, that is so small, but when I put it on it's too big. I'm now looking forward to size 10's. I can't even wrap my head around that one.....I haven't been a size 10 since the before I got pregnant the first time....and DS will be 17 in a week. WOW! I also find I'm much more critical with myself now. If something doesn't fit right, I find myself changing clothes or coming up with an excuse why I can't wear the item. That's a far cry from wearing anything that fit! Two more pounds and I'll be 2/3 of the way to my goal, MY GOAL! I'm even closer to my doctor's goal, she thinks I should be 150. I remember not even trying to lose weight because needing to drop 106 pounds just seemed so unrealistic. My SIL is also on WW. One of the reasons I joined was because last spring I watched her lose about 45 pounds on the program. She's back on again as she took several months off and now wants to go the rest of the way to her goal. DH and I stopped by their house Saturday night on our way home and she looked great....I told DH in the car after we left that my SIL looked so thin, and that I can't wait to be where she is......he responded by telling me to look in the mirror, that I'm smaller than she is already. Huh? My brain needs to catch up, I guess!
OK, I've just realized that I'm rambling and babbling. As you can see, some days are easier than others when dealing with the new bod, but honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way!

Hey Girls, Well St Patties day is here!! No I didn't make my official goal but I came close with only 1 lb shy of goal. I'm happy with that because today at weigh in I made 50.6 pounds!!!!!
Time for a new challenge!! Maybe the St patties day one was too short.
anyone up for it?

Good morning to everyone! Even though I have not been keeping up at all with this thread, I have been working hard to meet this challenge. It's been in the back of my mind every day! I had a struggle with about 2 1/2-3 weeks at a plateau of 142 pounds. I ended up cutting my calories a little, cutting out my daily nuts, and upping my fiber. Yesterday I weighed in at 138.75! My goal was 138 by today, so needless to say I'm VERY happy with how I did. I lose very slowly, so this is pretty good for me.
It looks like everyone did awesome with this challenge. Good luck on the Easter challenge!

well I just had my weigh in for St Patty's Day, and I have lost 1.3kg this week! :D which means I have well and truly passed my goal of 5kg by St Pattys Day. I weighed myself on my sisters scales on St Pattys Day & was past my goal - but didn't want to confirm until i'd had my official weigh in!
