Hi All!

The Day After...did anyone succumb to chocolate, or other horribly delicious treats?? DH brought me home a container of chocolate covered strawberries from the cafeteria at work...they sell them every year. I guess I should just be happy it wasn't those yummy Ferrera Roche hazelnut chocolates! Heck, there was fruit involved!! Yeah, I ate probably 6 of them, and it was dark chocolate.

Headed out into the snow and ice for an eval at the school with the boys today. At least it's close by. Would be nice if the town came by and cleared the rest of the crap off the road, it looks like a crunchy, frozen slushy mess out there...and I live on the main drag!

Hey Lauren, haven't you heard? Dark chocolate is supposed to be good for you. I had some chocolate cake, but it was made with Splenda and that cuts the calories in half and it is low in carbs too! I will post the recipie later.

I succumbed.

DH and I don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day, but I thought I would do something special, since there is less time to be romantic with a baby around. So I bought a bottle of champagne and we had a homemade beef stew and hot bread. And I bought these mini-chocolate mouse cakes from the best bakery in the area.....

Oh well, I will not be upset by it. Aunt Flo is in full visitation, so I think I may deserve it (a little bit???).

Gator ~ I agree couples need to speak to each other BUT~ IT doesn't work in my marriage we or i talk and we end up in a fight SOOO silence is golden in my marriage I do have to say i have really been reflecting on my life right now with everything thats been going on and i think my husband is feeling me drift away ..... Maybe it's just a phase i dont know

I had a decent Valentine's Day with the DW. Nothing overly exciting went on, given that we had a nasty winter storm blow through yesterday and I zonked out around 8:30pm and slept all the way through until 6am. :|

For Valentine's Day, I brought home my DW some chocolate roses, a bunch of mini-carnations all in the vase I painted her as part of my "40-before-40" list. Here's the carnations & vase (the roses were consumed pretty quick - my wife is a lovely chocoholic. ):



Thinking about going out and buying that treadmill this weekend. Maybe then, I can get back on track and start feeling good about myself again.

Zeph I love the vase. I'd be so happy if hubby gave me something he made....he asked me for a homemade gift, so I made him a card...i'm big into rubberstamping......



i'm STILL WAITING ON CELEBRATING. I had a rehearsal for our next show last night.....and here it is, 7:15 pm and still waiting to go out to dinner.

I did ok yesterday but today's been real difficult. had a potluck at work.....but i'm gonna try for 10 lbs gone by april fool's day. I miss stevi....if anyone sees her send her love for me!!
