I am a Turbo Jam addict - I've been doing Turbo Jam since September 2005 and I mentioned the workout here a long time ago - I hope everyone is still enjoying their workouts. I can't get enough of this workout and love Chalene and her crew.
I did want to pass on another workout that just came out - I just ordered it so I haven't tried it - I will be sure to report when I do but just in case anyone is interested, it is suppose to be a lot of fun too. I can NOT imagine they will ever replace Turbo Jam but they might be fun to add to the mix.
You can check it out at:
www.hiphopabs.com
I am NOT a dancer at all - too stiff :) but Chalene has showed me that doesn't matter - it's all about moving whether you are good at it or not and having fun.
Hope all is well! Are any of the the ones that started with TJ a long time ago still here????

I also love the Turbo Jam workouts, but if the Hip Hop Abs is from the Yoga Booty Ballet series it's a great deal of fun as well. The CD says it's around 49 minutes long and it seems to be over in 15-20. I think you'll really like it. I did it for the first time yesterday and boy can I feel it in my Abs today.:carrot:

No this is a different set - it's not Yoga Booty Ballet's Hip Hop Abs. Shaun T. is the instructor and boy, does he have a nice set of abs. I have the YBB Live set and I probably do one workout every 2 weeks - I like them but they don't get my heartrate up that high. I was trying to have one workout a week though that was lower so these fit the picture.
Hip Hop Abs is a dancey set - they show a clip at hiphopabs.com if you'd like to check it out.

Rachelle ~ I hadn't heard anything about these new workouts until I read your post. You would think beachbody would send me an email, since they've gotten so much of my business in the past. Anyway, are the workouts worth the $60 plus shipping? I've been watching my email for a coupon for 10-15% off, but I guess it's not going to happen.
BTW, I still love, love the TJ workouts. It's been almost a year and I'm still going strong. I would love to work Hip Hop Abs into my routine, just to shake things up a bit.
Thanks for keeping us posted on the new workouts.

I finally received a 10% discount email message from beachbody and ordered mine on Friday. Hopefully, my order will arrive this coming week...I'm excited to try it. I'll post a review after I've completed my first workout.

Thanks for the review! I have two left feet, but I might be able to give it a shot. If you have no rhythm at all, is it still possible to keep up?
Rachelle, I made your link a real link. BB is allowed. They do have a forum, but we also do reviews for them occasionally. ;)

Hi Everyone,
I read a lot, post a little ...but had to chime in on these. I have all of HHA so far and really love the ones I have tried so far. Total Body Burn, Ab Sculpt and Fat Blasting Cardio (? think that's the name). I am really choreo-challenged and have been able to follow along w/o major modifications, even when I have not had time to preview. I did TBB & the cardio workout yesterday and feel the soreness in my obliques today.
These do remind me of Turbo Jam but not so much that I feel I am doing the same workouts w/o variety. I didn't wear my HRM yesterday so can't comment on how many calories I burned but was as sweaty as when I jog for 30 or so minutes. I am not saying that the intensity is that high but the sweat factor sure has been. (BTW, I do jog slow...around 4.3 mph.)

Hi ReachingZen ~ Thanks for the review! I really love Turbo Jam and its' fun factor, but it's time to mix it up a bit. Since I haven't worked out in a couple of days, I need something to spark me up today. I'm hoping my package will be waiting on me when I get home from work.

Bbsgrl -- I hope your pkgs are waiting for you!! <crossing fingers> I can't wait to hear what you think of these!
I have levels 1 & 2 but am going to force myself to stay with level 1, at least another week! I am trying to stay with jogging (since it's something I thought I could never do) so am working these in with that. I normally jog M/W/F and can usually add Ab Sculpt then do Total Body Burn and the cardio on Tues & Thurs. Sometimes I am too short on time for more than one workout in the morning. I felt a little whipped this morning so did a slow walk. :carrot:
I am missing the TJs and could sub some of the shorter ones in here and there. I have Kickin' Core and the other new one and have not even tried those yet.
I noticed that you are from TX too! We have some strange weather this year! My DH is a meteorologist and tells me that this is an El Nino year so things are freaky all over. BTW, today is beautiful! I hope that lasts a while.
Lunch is over so back to work for me!
Have a nice weekend!

Newbie here. I was searching for info about Shawn T's Hip Hop Abs. My money is really tight, and I'm wondering if these will just add to the rest of my tapes that are accumulating dust. I tell myself to save money and drag out the ones that I have. His infomercial is so enticing, tho.

Yippeee!! I received my package on the 16th, but didn't give the workouts a try until yesterday. All I can say is WOW!!! After previewing the secrets to flat abs, I did the fat burning cardio workout. It's about a 30 minute workout that isn't too difficult to follow...it's similar to TJ because of the music and fun factor. Since I've been working out consistently for almost a year, I wasn't expecting any soreness from this workout....boy, was I WRONG!! I felt soreness in my abs and legs this morning. So, I repeated the workout this morning to work out some of the soreness and stiffness. I haven't previewed the other workouts yet, but I'll be sure to post a review when I do. To sum it up, HHA is a keeper. I think I'll alternate between HHA and Turbo Jam...I think it's a good combination.
Darlene ~ Yep, this TX weather is truely strange. I was wondering if this is an El Nino year...we discussed this at work on Friday, but no-one knew the answer. It certainly is a beautiful day today. I'm going to go out and enjoy some of the sunshine when I finish this post.
BTW, TJ Kickin Core does just that. I hurt for a couple of days after doing this one. However, I still have quite a bit of weight to lose...it may be easier for you since you're already in good shape. Good luck with your workouts! I've always admired runners.
PLady100 ~ I think only you can answer your question. Like you, I have tons of workout tapes/DVDs that I have accumulated over the years. I had never stuck to doing any of them consistently until I ran across Turbo Jam. Since finding Turbo Jam (May, 2006) I have consistently exercised 5-6 times a week. I believe the key is finding something you really, really enjoy doing and then you'll stick with it. Once I got into the habit of exercise, my body loves and craves it...so now, every now and then, I'll pick up one of my older workouts just to mix it up a bit. Now, I will be working Hip Hop Abs into my routine. Like TJ, it's fun and easy for me, which will only help to keep me doing it longer. So, if you think this will be fun AND enjoyable for you, then by all means, go for it. Good luck!
Have a fantabulous Sunday everyone.

Sorry I've been missing and didn't back here to reply. My grandma passed away and then I had to have a laproscopy to remove a cyst they thought was cancerous - but it's NOT!!! :carrot: :)
I've only tried one workout of HHA - and I was disappointed in that I don't get my heartrate up like I do with Turbo Jam - it's more along the lives of Yoga Booty Ballet. I do hope though - as my middle needs lots of work - that these will be a great add-on maybe on my strength training days - I don't like to do crunches so hopefully this will be a way for me to get my ab workout in. I don't even do Chalene's TJ Ab Jam very much - shame on me. My stomach has always been the one where people have thought I was pregnant when I never was . . . so when I can get back at working out, I will be adding these to my routine. I knew I wasn't going to like them MORE then Turbo Jam . . . it would be very hard to surpass that workout but I think I will like them as I said, as an add on. I've heard the five minute tape is worth it!!!! I can do five minutes everyday! :) Thank goodness for the tuck in TJ though - it came in handy in catching on to Shaun's moves - or at least I tried :).

Hi Everyone!
I haven't done an HHA since last week. I am hoping I can get one in tomorrow and have TBB planned for Thurs.
PLady100 -- Did you decide to try HHA? Just curious :D
Julie -- I am so glad that you liked the workout! ITA on the soreness. I wasn't expecting it either and was pleasantly surprised. Oh... I did Kickin Core Monday and am feeling the soreness in my inner thighs, pecs and upper back! I am going to try to get this one each week. The weather has stayed nice but another front is on the way. You were right about El Nino!
Rachelle -- I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your grandmother. You have been through a lot with that and the scare over the cyst and have that removed. I am so happy that it was not malignant!
I am the opposite. My HR goes up more with HHA than TJ but love them both. I have the same issues with my stomach. I am the classic apple with thin legs but thick waist and upper body. Monday, I started doing Callanetics' stomach exercises (again) hoping to make a difference. It helped me before but quit and can't remember why now. I have not tried the short ab workout from HHA yes so need to get that in too. Can't hurt!
Jennifer -- Hi! :)
Will keeping checking back!

Howdy!
No, I decided not to buy it right now. I will keep it in mind, tho. I have started going to the tanning bed again, so that will help with my self esteem.

I ordered HHA yesterday and went googling to see if I could find any information on them. Sounds like some people here are enjoying the workouts, so that is good news.
Plady100 - I noticed that you have lost 68 pounds, great job! I am also 5'9" and was 305 pounds when I started the South Beach Diet a few weeks ago. I'm down to 289 now. Not a huge change, but I am happy for every pound I can lose. What diet/exercise plan are you using?

Hi everybody,
I found this site when I was looking for information on the new Hip Hop Abs. I just moved to New York from Los Angeles and I've been trying to get on track with some sort of work out plan. I've already lost about 15 lbs just with the life style change ( I walk EVERYWHERE!) There are soooo many stairs on those subways....anywho.....running for subways is not doing enough to get me in shape so now I am trying....once again for the umpteenth time to take it seriously. When I lived in LA I would just drive to the nearest Ballys...but out here the nearest Ballys is a train and a bus ride away. There's a Curves around the corner but they seem to want soooo much for soooo little. So I am turning to the tapes! Although I have the whole Tae Bo boot camp set, I put it in last week and couldn't even keep up with the intro! However, today I saw the hip hip abs work out and honestly, I was on my feet with the infommercial! So I'm real excited about this but I don't want this to be another thing that I start and don't finish. I NEED SUPPORT! I am hoping to connect with some good people so I can stay motivated to reach my goal weight. So....here I go!:carrot:

Thank you cjlafaye!!!! I appreciate your post so very much. I am starting to feel alot better since my procedure - holy smokes, it took two weeks!!!!! I am planning to start exercising again Monday. Hopefully my belly button will be healed enough to try another Hip Hop Abs workout - I've only tried the one so far. Some people are adding the HHA at the end of their TJ workout and I might try that since my tummy area is a big problem of mine :). Thanks for the compliments on my pic too! That was taken for our Christmas card, I just cut the family out. I don't have my picture taken too often. Glad you are still enjoying TJ! Did you get the newest workouts? I LOVE Kick n Core.

RACHELLE S... I havent bought anymore of the TJ series. I am too in love with the ones i have!
i love the hip hop abs sista's!!!! it is so much fun!! it really works the core. if you have serious stomach issues(like me) then you would really benefit from it. but for serious tj jammers, i would suggest getting the max results package 1st. it is more on the level and intensity of tj.
can i just say by the way that Shaun T. is hot!!! not bad to look at when he does that tilt tuck and tighten!!

sounds like you have both sets of hip hop abs--i just got the first one
how do they compare? is the second one really all that different? and worth spending another $60?
and what about the weight gloves that come with the second set--whats that about?
sounds like you have a lot of experience so i appreciate your opinion

HEY LADY FROG:hug:
YES, I DO HAVE BOTH SETS. I HAVE DONE 2 VIDEOS AND HAVE WATCHED THE REST. THE BASIC SET I THINK IS FINE FOR SOMEONE WHO IS JUST STARTING A NEW WORKOUT REGIMINE. THE FIRST SET IS STILL NOTHING TO PLAY WITH, IT CAN BE REALLY TOUGH IF YOU REALLY FOCUS ON EVERY MOVEMENT BEING AS INTENSE AS SHAUN IS DEMONSTATING. THE SECOND SET REALLY IS THE SAME THING THAT YOU LEARNED IN THE BASIC, NO REALLY DIFFERENT MOVES, BUT IT IS MUCH FASTER PACED.
THE WEIGHTED GLOVES IS WHAT PULLED ME INTO BUYING THE WHOLE SET, I WANTED THEM SINCE MY EARLY TURBO JAM DAYS BUT DIDNT WANT TO PAY THE $20 PLUS SHIPPING. I LIKE THEM, ALTHOUGH THEY FELT KIND OF AWKWARD AT FIRST.
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THE WORKOUT...

Hello everyone, I'm 21 years old and I'm a 156 lbs (YUK!) I started dating my
(junk food/fast food loving) bf about 3 years ago (135 lbs) and it seems ever since then the lbs just started going up up and up! It didn't help too much that I started by great DESK JOB (Boo!) I can see now its been really hard to lose the lbs ( I go to the gym about 3-4 times a week). I saw the HHA infomercial on TV and was hooked, I love to dance and I always notice when I go out dancing after a long time im hurting in the morning so when I saw this workout I knew it was for me! Im really exicted to start, I just got my shipping confirmation today and hope to start before the end of the week! I will keep in touch with my progress and can't wait to hear all of your sucess stories!

I came across this forum the same way. I just ordered HHA today and should get them within 5 to 7 business days. I was always asking myself how do I get rid of the belly rolls without doing floor work and one morning my husband was sleeping and the channel he was on showed the infomercial. I wanted to find out what others thought and well here I am....I tend to blab A LOT.
Anyway I think this is a great site (it's kept me from snacking to much while sitting at my second job)

IT IS REALLY A GOOD COMBO FOR SURE.. I LOVE THEM TOGETHER. I TEND TO STRUGGLE WITH KEEPING THE "CORE" ENGAGED, WHICH IS THE CENTRAL POINT IN BOTH SERIES. I FIND WITH HHA, IT MUCH EASIER TO HAVE INTENDED ENGAGEMENT OF THE CORE.. THERE ARE SO MANY MOVES IN TJ THAT I FORGET TO TUCK MY TUMMY IN SOMETIMES:)

I'm waiting for mine to arrive, the package shipped on Monday. With any luck maybe tomorrow. Of course, I COULD get started with something else in the meantime. Ugh. I need some motivation!!! You would think that my many pairs of too tight jeans would be enough to get me moving. I'm thinking that once I get started if I see some quick results that will keep me on track. I hope so!! Does anyone have details about the choreography? Is it complex enough to keep a dancer from getting bored? I've seen the infomercial a few times but just can't convince myself that I'll want to do them over and over.
I used to do some of the MTV Grind videos back in the day... heck I still have two of the routines completely memorized now that I think about it... so I need something that's at least that complex or I'll get bored.

HEY BREEZE
I THINK ON EACH OF THE DVD'S IS A DANCE ROUTINE THAT YOU CAN LEARN THAT IS SEPERATE FROM THE WORKOUT ITSELF... HAVE YOU DONE THE CARMEN ELECTRA HIP HOP VIDEO?? IF YOU HAVE IT IS WAY MORE COMPLEX THAN THAT AND WAY COOLER... I LOVE IT!!
I DID THE HIPS, BUNS AND THIGHS TODAY..I REALLY FEEL IT.. I LIKE DOING THE 5 MIN ABS DVD AT THE END OF ANY WORKOUT THAT I DO.. I DONT FEEL THAT I ENGAGE THE CORE NEARLY ENOUGH AND THE 5 MIN ONE FORCES YOU TOO..

thiessy - I never tried Sin6 but did do the Slim Series rotation . . . to me, HHA is much funnier. I liked Debbie alot but those workouts bored me quickly. I'm surprised I made it the whole rotation. Project You bored me too although again, I like Kathy Smith alot and have quite a few of her workouts (other then her flirting with the men in some workouts ;).)
I never got bored from Turbo Jam or Tae Bo and I've just tried a few HHA - it has more movement or energy that makes the time go by faster. It's hard to explain. Good luck!

Well, I guess I can join in here, I too just ordered the Hip Hop Abs yesterday and I'm hoping these won't sit and collect dust neither. I'm excited about this series! I'm able to get my abs in shape a lot quicker than the hips and thigh area, but along with the series that I ordered, a free DVD of Hips & Thigh workout will be included. Maybe I'll stay motivated, the music and upbeat personalities that are on this DVD, just might be my answer. I can't quite get back into the treadmill routine lately. I can't stay focused, watching the news at 5:00 AM and speed walking....it's not working for me any longer. I have too many exercise videos and keep telling myself that "This is the last I'm going to order" and then I don't like them for one reason or another. I couldn't get into Yoga Booty Ballet, nor was I able to get into Chalene's TB videos, but my sister loves Chalene and she's exercising and doing great.
I'd love to hear more success stories with those using any of these tapes. And how long it's taken you before you noticed a diff. in your body. My biggest mistake...no patience. I'm learning....well, I'm trying to be more patient.

Curlyblonde, some have problems, some don't. I want the workouts from them so I order on a chance. HHA I had more problems then I have before when I ordered on the internet - I pressed submit but it just brought me back to the orginal order page so I submitted again. Long story short, I had two orders but was never given a chance to order the second level 2 package that I wanted. After speaking to their foreign customer service department, I was given the American one and after two people there, found my hero who made it all better so it worked out in the end.
Since there is no other place but BB to order right now, it depends on how bad you want them. I don't like them as much as I do turbo jam but I like the idea of working my stomach without doing crunches. I actually like the 5 minute workout the best so far. I hurt my shoulder doing HHA and so I've laid off of them the past few days. I would also check BB forums - Shaun even posts on the Hip Hop Abs one.

Hey everyone I am brand new to the site. I decided to join the site because it seems like a place to get support and some great motivation!
Anyways, my question is...does anyone else feel that they are not holding the correct muscles to get the benifit of the hip hop abs dvd's?
I've been doing it for 2 weeks (6 days a week) and I don't sweat like the people on the dvd...and my abs don't hurt. I feel a little tightness and that is it. I am forever trying to keep my core tight...but I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly.
Anyone have any tips?:dizzy:

Hi NubianQueen, I got my HHA DVD's yesterday and did it last night. I watched his secret to HHA DVD first and it took me a little longer to feel like I got it, although in doing the one DVDs, I couldn't quite tuck and tighten while moving like he does, so I just kept pushing my breath out (like his example...when you were a kid and blew your breath on a mirror), but blowing your breath out hard (I did it through clenched teeth...for some reason that helped me) and when I felt how that tightened my abs, I held that tuck/tighten and moved. I did sweat, but not like he did. Just like the one lady in the video, she said it doesn't matter that we might not look like them when they do it, just keep moving and holding in your abs.
I'm sure you'll begin to feel it soon. In fact, I'm trying to hold it in and tighten on a regular basis...sitting at my desk, walking to my car, etc...
I hope something I wrote might help. I'm still new and still learning too.

Hi all,
I'm a virgin to exercise videos and buying stuff off TV... but I just saw the HHA informercials on TV and that got me pumped! I came across this forums while trying to find reviews on it, and the postings have been pretty helpful so far!
Everyone seems to be enjoying the videos, so I am almost certain I will get them. I have a few questions though:
1. I don't already have a workout regiment, and I'm not really looking to start one, since I do dance about 5 days a week (ballroom... although only 2 of the days actually get me sweating. The other days my coach works on technique.) Will HHA suffice as my only routine, or should I wait for another more motivating, full body workout video?
2. cjlafaye you mentioned that the level 2 videos are similar to level 1 but more fast paced. How much faster is it? Will I get lost if I skip to level 2 right away? I will start from level 1 if you think it would be better for me to... but I dance, I learn really fast and I get bored easily, so I wonder if it would be a good idea skip to the next level immediately. Then again, I don't want to be in over my head though...
3. Does HHA only do good on abs? I have thunder thighs that I need to get rid of as well.
For some reason, TJ, YBB and Core Rhythms don't get me as excited about them as HHA did, and I don't think I will be motivated enough to start/continue with those programs. And money is tight. So it might be HHA or nothing...
How's everyone else's results on HHA? I come from a large family, so I've never worried about my weight much, especially when I seem a little smaller as compared to some of them (!!!). Losing 10 lbs would be great, losing 20 would be freaking awesome, but I guess just having a workout routine is healthier than nothing at all... Although $60 for 3-5 lbs is kinda pricey... Especially when I'm a skeptic and don't really believe the stuff they sell on TV would ever work, so it's hard to make me part with my money.
:carrot: Work hard, ladies! :cb:

ladyfrog - try this link: http://forums.milliondollarbody.com/eve/forums or go to beachbody dot com and under "choose a product" go all the way to the bottom and it should say Message Boards - that will take you there and you can pick which program forum to visit.
ice1983 - if you are getting your heartrate up two days a week, I would add in HHA on two or three more days for sure - four if you want with one day rest. It gets my heart rate up but not as much as Turbo Jam does (but someone else said HHA had her HR up more then TJ so it will depend on the person). I had to stop HHA as it hurt my shoulder. I always recommend getting the first set of ANYTHING to get the form down - no matter how advance of an exerciser a person is. I did Taebo for six years when I started TJ. Even though it was still a kickboxing workout, I started with the basics and did the Learn & Burn many times before moving on to the 20 Minute. It is always, always the best thing to get the form down on any workout before doing the more advanced. You might think you've got it and can catch on quick, but if you are doing the faster workouts, it might not be so and you end up injurying yourself. VERY COOL on the ballroom dancing!!!! Hubby and I have taken dance lessons three times through our marriage and once the kids are older, I'd like to take them again - if you don't use it, you lose it and we don't "use it". ;)
Shaun T is a hoot - at first, I was thinking this guy is way too cocky for me but the more workouts I did, the more he grew on me.

Hi Rachelle,
Very good advice, thanks! I just submitted my order, and I'll let you know what I think soon as I try them out!
Shaun reminds me of my old Hip Hop instructor (I did that for a year before Ballroom... I switched when my instructor moved away and I couldn't find anyone else as awesome as he was), so I'm sure I'll have a blast!
Definitely go back to Ballroom if you can. It's tons of fun! My coach focuses on technique, posture, and how to be a better dancer/athelete in general instead of focusing on steps and figures, and I've benefited a lot more from it than I expected. Hopefully when you go back and do it again, you'll find an amazing instructor who can motivate you like mine does for me!

I really like the HHA DVD. I did the level 1 once and then tried the level 2 and have not gone back since. The level 2 really pushes me and at this point, I can complete the whole cardio routine only by substituting a few of the lower intensity moves. I tried the dance choreography routine and it was so much fun... maybe I will be able to dance like these people one of these days LOL.
My shoulder didn't hurt but my back did... I think I was a little to energetic with the tilt/tuck/tighten... you definitely want to ease into it because for me, the constant activity with the back is not normal.

I really like this routine also. I've done the Fat Burning Cardio 3 times and I'll try the Total Body Burn tomorrow. I'm not much of a dancer so many of these moves are new to me and make the time go by really fast. I'm finding Shaun T is easy to follow and he's really upbeat and funny. This is the first routine in a long time I haven't dreaded going back to. Of course, it's only been a few days but I'm hoping this is one that will keep me motivated! I have to keep reminding myself to tighten my abs during the routine but it gets easier each time. Thankfully there's no mirror near my workout area because I'm sure I look NOTHING like the people on the DVD as I'm following along  I'm doing the 6 day slimdown too, hoping a jumpstart will keep me on track. I really enjoy reading everyone's stories, it's a help!

Hi All!
I've been doing Turbo Jam and loving it since last summer. I do many other workout DVDs, too, and recently bought HipHopAbs. I got it today and did the first workout. FUN!!!!
Shawn T. is a GREAT instructor! He loves what he does and wants US to love it, too! I'm hooked after just one session!
My goals are to develop my abs, but also to learn how to be more coordinated and to practice making my body connect with my mind!
HHA and TJ are FUN! The time goes by so quickly, and I feel so much more coordinated after I practice them.

New to the site but came across this and had to respond. I ordered the HHA and did not like them at all. Not a good workout to me. I also have a little issue with sciatica and it had been doing good until I did this video and had flared up really bad because of the movements. Sent it back and got a refund. I absolutely love all of beachbody products except this one. It was not worth the money. All the videos were pretty much the same. Thanks and hope this helps.

Surprised the heck outta me, lol. Well I'm getting ready for my 2nd day of hha workout. I'll keep you guys posted. Till next time, stay true to yourself, you're the only one that will.

Hi Sokaqt!
I'm a former Brooklyn girl - lived there all my life. Now I'm in CT. I miss the city. Never had to use a car - always walked everywhere like you said. I took the train into NYC and would walk to my office everyday.

Hi everyone
Last year when I got TJ, one of the members posted a discount code and I was able to get 15% off. Does anyone have a code for HHA?
Is anyone using TJ ball?

I'm considering HHA. Currently I'm doing day 7 of slim in 6. I'm enjoying SI6 but the crunches are killing me. I was reading through this thread but couldn't find anyone who posted results. So for the people who are doing or have completed HHA: Are you seeing results? If so how soon can they be expected?
Thanx

I have hha workout tapes. haven't done them in a while. But I can't find the workout schedule, of how Shawn tells you what to do everyday. Does anyone have it? If so could you please post it for me? Thank you

I've started Hip Hop Abs about two weeks ago, just to add something to my Turbo Jam workouts which are getting really easy (except for Turbo Sculpt! I still sweat and burn so much and I'm using really light weights!). It isn't as compelling as Turbo Jam, but it works my core well (I think).

I had to quit doing Turbo Jam a few weeks ago because I have patellar laxity and it is killing my right knee. I ordered Hip Hop Abs, got it through expidited shipping, and I did day 3 this morning. I love it so far. Have lost 1.5 inches in since Saturday morning! I noticed on other sites that not many people have actually finished Hip Hop Abs. It seems so fun, and I can't imagine why most people fall off the wagon. I've made a goal to do at least the first month and perhaps add the maximum results month.

Hi squishysquirrel! It is fun in it's own way. I like dancing and some of the moves are quite fun to do, but it does get repetitive. And I don't know if it's just me, but time seems to pass slowly when doing Hip Hop Abs. It grew on me though, and I kinda look forward to doing Hip Hop Abs now. Have you tried the 6 minute abs disc? The actual workout is about 5 minutes, but it's very challenging!

hi it's my day 1 of hiphop abs although I've done this last year (bout 4x only).
and I miss Shaun T!
I'm on my day 4 of 30day shred and I realized I missed Shaun T's fun personality after doing the shred (with Jillian bossing me around haha).

I haven't tried the 6 minute abs disc. Since last being on here, I've done Ab Sculpt and LOVE it! Can't wait to do it again tomorrow and be done with the first week. So happy that my right knee hasn't been bothering me lately.
My plan is to do Turbo Fire, which I got when it came out last year, once I'm in better shape (starting residency and getting married made me fall off the bandwagon). I probably won't be able to handle Turbo Fire until a few more months, and hopefully my quadricepts will be better (patella laxity is caused by weak quadricepts muscles) so that I won't take a beaten.

Ok. After a week of Hip Hop Abs, I have lost 3 inches off my waist and 2.5 inches off my dreaded lower pooch. So excited about these results. Weight loss has been slow, but I'm loving the loss of inches. I was able to tighten my belt one loop smaller yesterday.

WOW. That's really cool. You did lose inches as advertised (On the beachbody site, they claimed you can lose 3 inches for the first week)!!! I'm so jealous, but really happy for you too :))
I'm about to try Turbo Fire too, but I'm afraid I'm so out of shape. I'm really worried about the 'HIIT' part where they do all that jumping. I'm scared for my knees. I hope I'll be able to start doing Turbo Fire by July though.

Just an update. I'm on my rest day for week 2 and going to start week 3 tomorrow. I lost an additional 0.5 inch off my waist and 1 inch off my lower pooch for a total of 3.5 inches off my waist and 3.5 inches off my lower pooch after two weeks. Not sure of what my inches lost in other places are or what my body fat is. Once I get through the 4 week program, I'm going to restart Chalean Extreme, which helped me lose a ton of weight in the past. Eventually will start TurboFire, hopefully by September, when I'm in better shape.
