Default Happy Anniversary Miss POP!

Jiff, it was January 29th 2001( I believe) that this new life began for you. I must say that with out your experience, passion and drive, this little corner of 3fc would not be here it would still be diet scams.

I for one am grateful for the knowledge you bring here and most of all for your friendship. SO a toast (dry no butter or jelly) to my dear friend Jiff who is an inspiration to all that seek help, solace, and support. Happy Anniversary!
Thank you!
-L

oh geez - what a wonderful surprise!!! thank you all - it's been an honor to hang out here. and it's been a personal adventure!

toast with peanut butter all around - 1 tbs, please!

as for today - i spent it in the hospital! the alzheimer's mom woke up an couldn't get out of bed - too dizzy. so, the ambulance came, and we were in the ER before 7:30. she was admitted, and got to her bed around 5 pm.

she'll be fine, but i can't take care of her if she can't stand and move, even a little bit. and she needs more tests tomorros.

BUT - a person who made a HUGE difference in my life walked by. one of the respiratory therapists who took care of me during my unfortunate incarceration. her advice changed my life. she said: your exercise is to take 10 deep breaths 6 times an hour.

it made all the difference. and it's advice that i've held onto, and tried to share with everyone i meet. we hugged - we cried. it was touching, and she was impressed.

and i'm everlastingly grateful to her -

5 years and holding!!!!

Congrats, Jiffy! I lurk often in this section because I am in awe of the wisdom and support that flows from each person in here. Whenever I meet someone in real life who is having by-pass surgery, I recommend they come here for support.

Your inspiration reaches far beyond this board.

Happy Anniversary!
