Well, Im UP a pound this week....AAARRRGGG!! I think I've finally hit the point where I HAVE to start exercising... I havn't really up until now, but I knew it was coming.

I can't wait to post that same news. I read your post as to how you've done it, and I totally hear ya about the changing the brain....I think if alot of the weight problem is mental and emotional release the pounds can very well just fall right off! GOOD FOR YOU!

As for me, I am down 9.5lbs for my first week. gotta love water loss!

Yay! 5 lbs down from last Monday, but I weighed again on Tuesday and was already down 2 - but still - 5 lbs in one week :)

What I did different? Tracked calories! That's about the only thing I did that was different. I was surprised on some things that I thought were ok - mostly stuff like cheese!

Hi Everyone!

I poked my head in here for about a week before I went off on a trip to Ireland! I'm back now and glad to be back on the message boards here - I believe I will find them motivating and inspiring!

My weigh in today puts me at a 9 pound weight loss since January 1st. I haven't weighed in the last couple weeks (and I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a couple pound gain in that time - Ireland is the land of bread and potatoes, and tea with biscuits (translation: cookies)).

It's has taken me about a week being back to get back into the weight loss mode...temptations have been rampant!

Getting there slowly but surely!

S - 265.5 (on 01/01/07)
C - 256 (01/29/07)
G - 165

I am down 3 lbs this week!! I was very excited to meet my first goal. I wanted to lose the 29 lbs I gained in one year when I quit smoking. I did it! It took 3 months! yea! Jelly

Up 1.5 pounds for me....but it's that TOM, I had a huge loss last week for me-7.5 pounds in one week, and I've been having lots of trouble with my tummy- bloating etc... so I won't fret at this point over it.

Whew! That was a big loss for me, as I have hypothyroidism and a 2-lb loss per week is usually the most I can get. But, I was very focused last week on my treadmill walking and counting calories, so this is my wonderful reward! :cloud9:

I weigh 255lbs. I think. I weigh myself in the mornings when I first wake up (after hitting up the washroom first). If I weigh myself later on during the day though it is usually more. I'm not sure which is the most correct??

Also, do you all use digital scales? I have the old cheapo scale that you stand on and moves up. I can't really see the small lb differences. Anyone have the same problem?

Sorry so many questions in this thread but I'm sortta new to weight loss related topics. :) Thanks.

I weighed myself twice and it was 250. I weighed myself again and it was 255. I looked closely...and tried to get the scale even with the red line as much as humanly possible and I weigh 253. Geez, I need a digital scale.

I just got back from the gym!!! I finally got to weigh myself (I usually weigh myself on Mondays but I've been waking up late and having to leave in a hurry after my workout so I wouldn't be late for work!) Anyways, I got there early today and weighed myself, and I lost 3 1/2 pounds!! Woo hoo! I know it doesn't sound like much but I am so happy and proud of myself because I am "257" and this is my all time lowest weight since I"ve been working out! Plus it feels great since the past couple of weeks I've only been losing 1 pound, but thats better than nothing too, I'm definitely not complaining! =) =)

Down another 3.5 for a total of 20 in 5 weeks!!! I LOVE my new life!!! (AND the coolest part of all is that it is my "time of the month" and even that didn't affect my loss!!) I truely believe cutting all the junk out of my life has improved EVERY aspect. I am just so excited for the future now!!!
