Hoot mon! It's Rrrrrobbie Burrrrrns Day! Do ye ken? Let's toast the laddie with a wee dram.....of water. We could eat haggis if we're on Phase II. I'll post a recipe, if you like.

It's very, very cold this morning but the day is unfolding as sunny. The stove held overnight again so we are cozy and warm in here. I just may stay indoors all day although I really need to go to get my driver's licence renewed.

So what's happening today at your place?

 Haggis?! Blech, no thanks! I will join you in a toast, though, with a wee dram of water.

It's bitter cold here, too, and I was all dressed and prepared to go to Curves when I opened the door to a snow covered world. The roads are a little slick, and that's enough to keep me here at home. I may go over after it warms up a little. I want to go visit Mom & Dad for a little, too. Then the rest of the day will be spent working on those patio cushions. I'll be so glad to finally have them done.
We had a change of plans last night and went out to dinner, where I caved in and had a wonderful Apple Crisp with real ice cream for dessert. :T I enjoyed every spoonful, but today is pay-back day. :( I'll be drinking gallons of water and eating salad and veggies to make up for it.

Good morning ladies :)

Sorry I've been MIA from the daily the past few days. I've just been really busy...today being no exception. I'm already running behind, so I that means breakfast at work. Luckily, they sell turkey bacon and egg white omelettes in the cafe downstairs.

Well, I've gotta get moving. I have 40 portable DVD players to wrap by tomorrow for an event at work! YIKES!

I hope everyone has a terrific Thursday

Morning!

Super quick post here to have you all smack me around some. My evening eating has been RIDICULOUS!!!! Someone just hit me upside the head to make me stop!!!!!!

Soon WTG on 13 pounds down- that is fantastic!!!!

Cottage and Ruth Stay warm girlies!

Schatzers Morning to you!!

Gotta go, no offer letter for DH yet, I am hoping this is all going to work out. I am trying to keep a level head and know that something better will be out there if this doesn't pan out. He has to take some kind of management assessment online today..... so it sounds to me like it isn't 100% in the bag that he has this, although he was offered the position on Friday. Anyone else confused??

Gotta jet- love ya girls!

Morning, all. I'm back at work today...blech!! Skipped the decaf and brewed a pot of fully leaded coffee today. I'll drink extra water to make up for it. Looks like I managed to get rid of the weekend weight gain plus another 0.4...yay. Puts me down to 213.2, leaving 14.2 to lose before St. Patty's Day. I think I can...I think I can...

Stay warm!! We're supposed to top out at about 42º today, but the weekend won't get much above freezing. I'm sooooo ready for spring!!

Ruth -In the words of Robby Burns...I raise:cheers: my glass with a “slang e va!” (“to health!”). That's to all of us here trying to get healthier with excercise and eating right.

Anna - Have fun wrapping! Just don't get too wrapped up in it!;)

Soon - Yeah another 2lb loss!:cheer:

Shatzi - I need your disipline...only one day of study in a week...not good. I will have to get on the stick soon. Go Girl!

Kiko - You asked for it kiddo! :frypan: Okay, now you've been slappped let's get serious again. Just remember we all slip and slide but it's the getting back up that counts. Praying the job offer is valid for DH.

Jet - YES YOU CAN! YES YOU CAN!:wizard:

Me - Still having a lot of pain but will be seeing my doctor this afternoon.
I have not succumbed to my normal reaction to eat when I feel this rotten.
This morning is excercise and this evening is small group which I have to lead...wish me all kinds of energy.

I love you sis!

HELLO everyone! I'm back from Key West and I loathe the cold weather here! I have to figure out how I can go back down there in 6 months.... we left in an ice storm (original flight got cancelled) and came back in the snow. Was 80 and sunny down there every day we were there, though.

Gained a few lbs while I was there.... 8 to be exact. I've lost 5 of them already though, which tells me that getting my water is quite important. Back on track now though. I've got 13 lbs to go to hit my goal weight and I want to do that by my brother's wedding in June. Of course, I'll probably hit my goal in March and then binge until May, and then have to start all over again (like I always do) but as long as I'm at my goal weight by June 23, I'll be happy.

What's going on with all of you girls? I've missed all of you! I'll post a few pics so you all can see what we were up to down in Key West. Those who HAVEN'T been should really consider going as it's SO much fun! (When are you going again, Soon2B?)

Hope everyone has a loooovely day!

 to everyone else! I'm just taking a breather from my sewing. I have the sofa and two easy chairs finished, just have to make the chaise lounge cover and then some throw pillows. I'm pretty pleased with how it's turning out, the original cushions were looking pretty worn out. The weather here has been crazy today. First it's snowing like a blizzard, and then the sun comes out, then it's snowing again. What's with that? :dizzy:

Time for a little lunch, then back to the sewing machine. Hang in there, gals, and think positive thoughts. :grouphug:

Good grief!! Who stole the morning? Last I knew it was 8:30...and then it was suddenly 11. I hate when that happens, but it does usually mean I've been busy.

Just thought I'd pop in to see what everyone else was up to. Sounds like a busy day for most. We all need to remember to take a break for ourselves at some point in the day.

Well, apparently many of us were a bit weak yesterday. We had friends for dinner and they brought cherry pie. I had a small piece and to be honest I did not even like it, but how do you stop eating and tell them that?!? Much more on track today, even managed to resist the two boxes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts in my morning meeting and had a clementine and water instead.

Ruth - thanks for the reminder of Robbie Burns, had a lovely trip to Scotland & Ireland over the summer and the referece put a smile on my face!

Cottage - I also did not make it outside to excercise today, so I did cardio at home instead of the intended weights, hopefully you can make it later today. But you have been very productive on your sewing project.

Soon - congratulations on the loss!

Kiko - I feel your pain, not my strongest week of evening eating either. Can only improve from here...

Jet - Enjoy the "leaded" coffee every morning. I am certain caffeine makes me a better person in the long run!

mamajok - good luck at your doctor's appointment.

weekle - Welcome back. Someday I will make it to Key West, your photos show you had a great time.

Lubajo - have fun at the casino - will you play slots or venture over the the table games? Craps is one of my favorites!

Back to work after my lunch break...have a great afternoon everyone!

Ally

Checking in again on you girls...

Amasam: Only game I know how to play up at the Casino is "Jack are better, Poker"....scared of all the rest.

Hey, to resist Krispy Kremes is a big step in the right direction. good girl.

Dr. going to do a special dianotic shot on my hip as soon as possible to really pin point, the main problem...Hip or back causing all the pain.

I told him "I refuse to give up my water classes so don't ask me too!!"

Going now to have some lunch meat and cheese and maybe Jello...and yes, drink my water...agg!!!!!!!!

Well my weight is back down to where I started the month but I still need to take off what I gained in December. Luckily I am out of all the unhealthy stuff at home that tempts me.

I wish I could get rid of this headache but I'm sure it is stress. Too much going on. The Roundtable meeting last night went well and we even had one leader volunteer to be the coordinator for the Boy Scouts that serve as Junior Staff for Twilight Camp this summer. That's a relief since I'm not as well connected in the Boy Scout circles as I am in the Cub Scout ones. I did get a letter off to the troop guides for the current Wood Badge asking them to see if any of their participants are interested in staffing at camp this summer as a ticket item. There are just so many positions to fill.

Tonight is a Wood Badge troop guide meeting. I finished up the stuff I had to get done so at least I am prepared. I hope we don't run later than 9. Brian likes me home before he goes to bed.

Brian's Pinewood Derby call is just about ready. We got the glitter paint coat on it and the clear coat so tonight he can do the final shining of the wheels and he'll be all set. Derby trials are tomorrow night and then the Derby is on Saturday. Right now it looks like next week will be less busy (except for Friday/Saturday/Sunday of next week when I go 2 hours north to National Camp School).

Just to let you all know...the urologist says my infection is cleared up...he thinks the pain is stomach related so I go in for my endoscopy on the 13th...need to get to the bottom of this!(no pun intended gals):)

We have small group here tonight and instead of baking like I usually do I just bought three types of cookies and some salty stuff to serve...normally I would just like the salty stuff but those cookies are looking pretty darned good to me about now...Just emotion thinking.......pray I don't give in to that ol' enemy temptation tonight.

Good Night girls...sleep tight, have pleasant dreams of getting into that special outfit...............

I love you sis...

Weezle ah...KeyWest--what a beutiful thought. Thanks for sharing.

Lubajo praying that soon problem is resolved so you are pain free.

Barb we just finished our pinewood derby. My son's car was a block o'wood decorated in OSU colors with a buckeye on top.

Mamajok I've been told by friends if you have a choice between taking the horse pills or drinking the gallons of liquid---take the pills. Praying all goes well. Watch out for those cookies.

As for me I am freezing...burr--winter has finally hit Ohio. I did manage to work out tonight at the gym. Good thing because I am having a hard time resisting food I should not be eating. I have cheated almost every day now for the past two weeks. I need to stop. Don't want to slip back into old habits that are so hard to break. I am trying to fit into skinny jeans, not out of them.:(

Weezle - I am so jealous!!! We probably won't go for awhile. We are spending $$$$ on the wedding (grr) but hey, maybe we will get some $$ as gifts & then we can go. Not sure what week DF's parent's have the condo though. I do love Key West. If I ever hit the lottery, I'm moving there!! You can find me a Hog's Breathe (unless it's sunset, then I'll be at Mallory Square!)
I did a scrapbook for DF's parents for xmas - it was sad to see all the sun & sand & here I am up in MI freezing!! Where do you stay? We stayed near Smather's Beach/airport.
