Morning... it is cold and snowy here today... I had to stop and get gas in the car on the way in to work this morning and I think that was the fastest gas I ever pumped .

How is everyone doing today? I started my Pilates class on Monday night and as always it was great and I really enjoy the teacher on Monday's and Thursday's the only thing I don't like about those classes is that since they restart every session you have to go thru the basics again since there may be beginners in the class and the first couple are slow but that may be a good thing in disguise since I have been having trouble with my hips again. Anyway... I worked out last night and have managed to get myself up to 3.5 miles on the eliptical machine so I will stick with that for a while before I take it up to 4 miles but I hope to take that next step soon.

Thanks for all of the congrats on my DS... he is excited and so am I... I pray that everything will work out for the best... he is the youngest and there are concerns that I have about him being so far away but I am hopeful that all will be well.

I have to run but I will check back in later.

Have a happy day!
Susan

Hi Turtles,
I am missing my regular WI, but will definitely WI tomorrow morning because I know I lost weight this week. It looks to me on my home scale that I lost about 2#, so I hope that shows up on the WW scale. Had to have chimney cleaned and they're here right now. Also I have a doctor's appt. this morning that I thought would be after my WW's WI. Talk about carefully laid plans.
Oh well. It'll be a busy day.

I am psyched about my weight loss because it means that I can do it. I had been eating too much food and that doesn't work even if the food is Core.

Kerri, hey ==we'd all be millionaires with the weight-reduction programs if that were the case. I am positive that I solely built a FL home for the franchise owner of our local WW's. Okay, that's an exaggeration, but I would be horrified to know how much I've actually spent on this. I just figure it's worth it and with this support group, I see that I actually can set and meet my realistic goal. I am 5'4" and would like to see 160# again. My initial goal is to lose the next 5#, then get into onederland. For now I'm not thinking beyond that.
Okay==gotta get some stuff done.
Princess, your son will still be accessible by phone and e=mail and if you had to you could get up there in 4 hours. Also, he can come home for a weekend here and there. He'll be fine. :goodvibes:

Princess - glad you are liking your exercise class. That is half the battle finding something you can enjoy plus get in the exercise.

Judy - I am sure you will do great this week at the scale. Sending you "super skinny vibes" - Go Girl!

Kerri - Sounds like you get in lots of exercise - that is so great.

Everyone else a big "hello" and chime in with some tips when you get the chance.

Take care, turles & remember "drink your water"

Susan, you are going to love Pilates I think. I thought it would be too much for me to do but my sister and I did it for a few months and the results were unbelievable.

Hi all...just taking a break from homework. I found all my info for my NASA assignment in my Physcial Science class. Now I need to finish reading my economics junk, get my assignment done for that, finish my assignment in ACCT and start on my Finite math along with doing a web search for some sites to list in our Webliography for my Social Issues of Native Americans class. Not too hard, just time consuming. YUCK!!

Well gotta go get some clothes on Conner. All the kids have an early out today so I'm on car pool duty too. Then its a nice afternoon with 7 kids. OMG!!! Then off to take Tiana to her allergy doc.

Wish me luck on everything today. I may be bald by 5 p.m....:D

All: Good afternoon! This week has been awful. I am living up to my nickname of "Super Busy Turtle" (who called me that? Judy? Bandit? One of the two I think.) I was supposed to go to LA Sunday, and that got cancelled because of problems with our product. So I worked for 12 hours on Monday to get through part of the acceptance test and find all of the bugs for the other department to fix. Then yesterday and today I finished the acceptance test, and today I have to update the acceptance test document and redo the status report for Colorado, before 6 pm. I have to go to my weight-lifting class tonight, for my own sanity. I insisted on going to spinning last night too, because I missed weight lifting (Powerflex) on Monday, and I'm going to miss spinning on Thursday and Friday and there's no way I'm going to make it on Saturday (My plane won't even arrive back in Tucson until 11 pm local time on Friday night), and after the week I've had, Sunday is mine all mine, to sew and organize and write and do the other things that make me feel better. ANYWAY, that means I will only have worked out 2x this week. <sigh> But this is very out of the ordinary for me, and I am at my January goal already, so I'm really okay. <unabashedly proud grin> Other than that, not much else is new. My WI is tonight, and if I can, I'll let you guys know how that went. I'll try and check in from the road, but that may not be possible. If that doesn't work out, then I'll just talk to you all on Monday, have a great weekend!

Bandit: Hey there! Sorry about the cold weather. Always good to hear from you. :D

Judy: Re the butterflies -- they were awesome. I did something like that when I was a kid, raising butterflies in class. Re the buffet: thanks! :D I'm very proud of that move forward. I told Mom and she didn't seem to get the significance, but I can see you understand.

Kerry: What is LC? As a side note, it is helpful (and they've actually done studies on this) to change your language. Don't say "I really want to keep it off this time..." Say "I can and I will keep it off this time. I am determined to do so. I refuse to go back." Repeat that to yourself. Believe. Know it to be true. It is tremendously helpful. Glad you are keeping up with your exercise. That's very important, not just for WL but for stress relief and for its general sanity-maintaining benefits. :D

Chris: Sorry you're still having trouble with your SIL. I don't know about PMS munchies, but when I get stress munchies, I go for stuff that is filling but low points, like some fruit popcorn (I love the 100-pt single serving bags from healthy pop) and a small treat, like hot cocoa or a mini candy bar or two (nibble it.) I know that sounds like the kind of thing a WW leader would say, and how could that be satisfying when you have munchies? But the secret is that popcorn or fruit gives you a feeling of fullness, which curbs all impulses to eat, even the impulse to eat junk, and the small amount of the treat makes you feel as if you are treating yourself without bingeing. Just my thoughts.

Princess: That is great news for your son. It will be hard, but you will adapt. I know what you mean, my sister moved out then I moved back in (for 2 years), then I moved out and it was just my mother, my father and our family dog, Lobo. It took a while for mom to get used to it, but she did adjust, and like your family, we are very close, especially my mother and I. Now I email her usually at least once a day during the week (just silly little emails to stay in touch) and we talk on the weekend. My point is, you'll find a way to stay in contact. Re the buffet: thank you! ;D I am particularly proud of that. I normally avoid buffets altogether, but my friend is very, very fond of this particular buffet, and we take turns choosing restaurants, and most of the time she chooses this buffet. At least there's lots of salad there. Re the weather: Believe it or not, it actually snowed here Sunday. Snowed! And it was so cold, and there was so much snow that it was still on the ground the next day. In a desert city like Tucson, they shut down every bridge on the east side and I had to work from home for the first few hours until they got it cleared up. But it was very, very cool -- that kind of stuff only happens once a decade or so in Tucson -- so I ran outside in my PJ's and my robe and took pictures. :D Re your class: I'm glad you like it so much. BTW, I checked out the FlyLady website, and I'm going to sign up for her emails, and try her method. Reading through her website gave me some perspective; my house is not chaotic or very, very dirty, just messier than I'd like and dirtier than I like. Reading about people with piles and piles everywhere and dirty dishes stacked on the counter made me realize that I'm in better shape than I thought. I think I'm going to try her method and give it a go. I think my biggest problem is that I'm A) a perfectionist and B) a germophobe and C) my weekend chores stretch to fill the time I give them. Thank you so much for pointing me towards the website, I think it may be just what I need, although the changes won't happen overnight, as she says. :D

Just a quick fly by...

Ariana: I think it was Judy that told you about Flylady, I have been thinking about looking into it also since I feel the same way about my weekends and my house.

Chris: I have been doing Pilates for the last 5-6 months and you are right... you really can tell a difference. I have had lots of comments about looking toner, etc. I take two different classes, one set is thru the local school district but they are only in the spring and fall, the spring ones are the ones that I just started again and the second session is at a pilates studio but they are more expensive so I take them on Saturdays and then I take the schools when ever they are offered and so far it has really worked out well.

Judy: You are going to do great at W/I tomorrow... I just know it!

Bandit: You are right... liking it is half the battle!

Kerri: How is your day going?

I have to run but will check back soon.

Hi Turtles,
I was able to get to WW's WI this morning after all. I was down a full pound and know I am actually down more than that. Usually when I WI I don't drink or eat anything beforehand and this morning I had stuff beforehand. It's really fine. I am happy to be down a pound, and I'm looking forward to knocking off about 1 1/2# this week. I know I can do it. We continue to be very busy here, but I'm coping well and look forward to getting my dh's doc visit over.
Take care, be well.
As far as Flylady, I love the site. I had gotten to really resenting having to do housework and complained to myself about everything. My house wasn't dirty, and it wasn't even particularly cluttered, but flylady has helped me so much with getting a better attitude about the chores I do and especially has helped me let go of my perfectionist levels that really made me dread doing anything because it was so onerous and time-consuming. Now I believe a good start is just fine and if I can do more than that, I do. Only when I feel like it. Some days I ignore Flylady altogether, and other days I do more. But I can certainly acknowledge that she has made my housekeeping much more acceptable.

Hey, we are all in good places right now. Ariana, hope this week goes well==you really are super busy right now.
Everybody==take care and be well.

Morning all!

Judy: I am going to check out Flylady today on my lunch break... my house is small and cluttered right now with so many of us living there but I am sure that I can find some good ideas and maybe just some advise to let my issues with it all go a little bit... it is one of the things that I stress over. CONGRATS on the W/L... I am so thrilled and happy for you! Next week is going to be awesome also... I just know it.

Kerri: Sounds like you are a very busy gal! What part of Florida do you live in? I lived in Tamps for about 10 months... seems like a million years ago but I guess it was about 17 years ago... I am a native northerner and I realized that so I came home... Great place to visit though!

Ariana: I sure hope your week calms down a bit but I know exactly what you are talking about... I work for a software company also so I understand your deadlines and frustrations! Never fear, Friday is near :D Oh ya, the snow in your area is very cool! I am very happy for you since you never get it!

Bandit: What are your plans for the weekend?

Chris: How are you doing? Looks like it is cold up your way also. Sounds like your school work has you very busy. What is your degree going to be in?

I have to run but will check back soon!

Hi turtles:

Just typed a big long post & got booted out. This seems to happen if my posts are long. So I will divide it up - very frustrating when that happens.

Judy - I've been on flylady site & found it very informative. Lots of good advice & tips and like our weight loss journey "Baby Steps" are key.

Ariana - WOW, you really are the "super busy turtle" how do you keep up that pace? Great you've already reach your Jan goal - good for you!
Glad you enjoyed the snow - that would be neat since it seldom happens there. Up here we usually see it for about 4 month. My drive is still frozen & they are calling for another storm this Sat. It has been much milder winter so I won't complain.

Onto next post

Princess - I'm going to movies with cousins this Fri night to see either Babel or Blood Diamond. I am leaning towards Blood Diamond since I a getting tired of the Brangelina thing. Visiting with sick aunt on Sun & in between probably shovelling more snow & gym time & house chores.

Kerri - hi there, hope you are doing well.

Have my w/i tomorrow so hoping for some kind of loss. My gf was over for our usual Wed dinner and made sheppards pie & I ate more than I needed and we shared a bottle of wine - so if I don't show a loss I will know why.

Anyway, have a great day.

I am very ready for tomorrows W/I! I am excited and hope to see a nice drop on the scale...

I don't have time for a long post this morning, I will have to wait and do that on my lunch break today.

Have a happy day all, be safe, be healthy!

Hi Turtles,
Always good to check in and see new posts. Good luck to our weekend WI's. You all sound so excited.

Yesterday I had a meltdown because I watched my dgrandbaby, he was in a bad mood most of the day and guess what? I ate==just like I used to when I was a young mom. Not smart, not helpful, and not what I want to do. Hope it's okay to "confess" here. I figure if I write it down, I'll be over it. Thanks!

Okay, on to a better eating day. I've got plenty of time this week to do well at my next WI. I'm going to count up the points from yesterday, subtract them from my 35 allowables and stay Core the rest of the week.

Good luck to everyone!

Hi turtle:

keep getting kicked out of here. But will try again

Judy - hang in there, get right back on track. You kow you can do it.

Princess - good luck with your weigh in.

Kerri - Hope your weekend is better than your week. This time of year is kind of depressing for some - with all the hype of Christmas gone. Try to keep positive.

I was down 1.6# this week for my weigh in, so was super happy with that.
I think the exercise is helping especially with my snacking, since I am basically lazy & find exercising alot of work. So I won't eat junk afterwards.

Anyway, have a great weekend & stay away from "unfriendly points"

Bandit,
Loved your connection between hard exercise and not wanting to ruin your good work with a snack. I so relate. Now I have to exercise! Congrats on such a wonderful weight loss. You're really heading in the right direction.

Kerri,
Spring's coming and we'll get the light we need soon. Keep on keepin' on.

All--let's drink some water and keep on taking baby steps until we're where we want to be!

Hi everyone:

Just got back to store - needed some fruit for upcoming week. I am trying not to keep buying so much groceries since I have lots in cupboards & freezer.
It took me almost 1/2 hour to scrap the ice of my car. I didn't go out yesterday and didn't realize that we had freezing rain. That is such a chore to get that all scraped off.

Kerri - right about now I would love to cut the grass. Congrats on your weight loss.

Judy - thanks for your encouraging words. And yes, everyone baby steps will get us there!

Tonight for dinner I am roasting a chicken & potatoes with onions & peppers.
THen I should have leftovers for this week as well. I find if I have prepared food in fridge so much easier to stay on track.

Visiting a sick aunt this afternoon with cousins then going to the gym.

Have a great Sunday evening.

Morning all,

Well W/I went pretty well... I was down 2.0 lbs... I will take that! I have lost most of my holiday gain and boy that was a struggle so I will think long and hard about eating off plan like that again... and the sad thing is that I did not really eat off plan that much over the holidays but as easy as it is too gain it is a 100 times harder to lose so that really is an incentive to watch every single bit that I take.

I have to run but will pop back in later on!

Good morning everyone, hope your week end went well...

Susan that is so good...:bravo: You are so right..I have been there..It takes me 4-5 weeks to lose 10 #s and Then on a holiday weekend or a trip I gain 10 #s does not make and sense but that's the way of the world with us turtles who are over weight...

Will check in later need to get to work....

I did unpack and dust off my Richard Simmons tapes and did 30 min....It almost killed me, wow am I out of shape...:dancer:

Princess,
You are so right about the holiday weight gain. I really watched what I was eating, had a few treats and found myself up 8#. I think what happened to me was that our "Christmas" took place over three weekends==and we celebrated each time. If we had only had one, I think my weight gain would have been more like 2-3#. Well anyway that's how I rationalize it. However, it's great that your holiday weight is off and now your next losses will help you get closer and closer to goal! Yay!

Bandit, 1/2hour to scrape off ice sounds really miserable. We've had a cold snap here and a little snow, but nothing is sticking yet. We're almost into February which in NY can bring a lot of snow, but I'm holding onto the idea  that the days are getting longer and the weather will be fine again come March.

Kerri, I think it's great you had a :goodscale: this week. I have a feeling you are helping the Turtles and we're helping you! Yay. It's always great when a plan comes together.

Chris, always glad to hear from you. With TOM in the picture, I think you've really had a loss. :cheer:

Ariana, how are you? Are you traveling?

Everybody, do well, think thin thoughts and have fun.

Just a quick one today to say hi

Princess - nice job on the loss! 2# is really great.

Judy - yes, it is snowing now as I speak. Not suppose to amount to much, but will probably be enought to shovel again.

I got to the gym last night even though I didn't feel like. So was pleased on my way home that I actually got over there.

New week - let's all make it a great one!

Ariana2000
01-29-2007, 03:22 PM
All: Well, I'm done with the LA stuff. Onto the Colorado stuff (sigh). I gained .6 last week, which just stinks, but last week stunk in general and I missed the Monday workout before my WI. That puts me .3 from my goal (I was at 2.6 for the month, now I'm at 2.0, and I need 2.3 for my January goal.) I'm hoping that I can lose that .3 this week. We'll see. I didn't eat well in LA Thursday night because I felt so guilty about how much the room service cost ($42 with all of the charges and tip, for a pizza, a glass of milk and a salad!) But I realize now that was silly -- it costs the same if I eat 2 pieces or 4 (I did the latter), and I feel sick if I eat 4 pieces...anyway, it could have been worse I guess. I was better Friday, even though I was on the road. I only got to work out 2x last week because of all of the travel, so I'm not optimistic about any WL this week, but I'll cross all fingers and toes, and I'm back on my regular workout schedule this week.

I'm finally figuring out why I'm so tired -- I was taking a sleeping pill 2-3 times a week, and I think that sleep is not as good for you as natural sleep. I haven't taken it the last two nights and I'm starting to feel better.

Anyway, I really need to go back to work. Take care ladies!

Princess: I will let you know what I think about flylady's methods. I am going to buy her book from Amazon. Yeah, the snow was awesome. Friday wasn't such a break for me -- I was still at LAX as of 9:45 Friday night. Saturday was better. Congrats on the WL. Weight is easy to put on and hard to lose. I do wish it were the other way too. :D

Judy: Congrats on the WL. Re FlyLady -- that's what I'm hoping for. I am such a perfectionist when it comes to house chores. Thank you. Last week was rough, but at least it's over! ;/ Re overeating from stress -- it is very important to A) Know why you did it B) Have a mechanism planned for next time to reduce your stress another way and C) don't beat yourself up about it. Nothing is produced by guilt than more stress.

Kerri: sorry you're having a rough week. Congrats on your WL! Kudos on doing the Richard Simmons tape. When I first started working out, I struggled to do the circuit at Curves for that 30 minutes...now I do spinning 2x a week and powerflex 2x a week. Endurance will come, and you'll feel better and have less stress.

Bandit -- re fast pace -- I'll tell you how I keep up with it when I figure it out. :/ Re snow -- yes, we loved it because it's rare. It's all about novelty. In Seattle I'm sure they love sunny days. Here, we love rain. It's all about what you don't have. Congrats on the WL! Yes, prepared food in the fridge makes healthy eating much easier. I even pre-wash and chop my fruits and veggies, except for the stuff that gets funny very quickly if you chop it (i.e. apples.)

Okay....I"m here for an opinion. I've been talking withy my husband and he thinks maybe I should just get a check up and stuff from a doctor. I'm gaining weight again and I feel tired most of the time, have almost zero energy and I fall asleep way before anyone else. I'm depressed and just plain don't feel so hot. Anyhow, what kind of doctor do you think I should go to? I don't have a primary care dr., only my rheumatologist. Also I keep getting those weird spells when I'm sleeping where it feels like I'm not breathing right and then I get anxious, which makes it worse.

I feel so stupid. I'm afraid if I go to the dr., they will just tell me its all in my head.

Okay..back to the homework. Chat with you ladies in a bit.

Chris: If it were me... I would get a primary care doctor and I would get one pretty fast... sounds like you need some blood work and a full check up. Get one that is in your insurance network and get an appointment ASAP so that they can get you back to feeling better really soon!

Just my opinion though...

Chris,
Definitely see an internist or a primary care doctor. Just guessing, but I have a feeling you have symptoms that occur with a slow thyroid. If you're startling yourself awake at night, a doc can help you with that as well. These are symptoms that many of us share and medical help can make you feel soooooo much better. Don't delay and my guess according to Doctor Judy LOL is that he won't say it's all in your head. Much love and :grouphug:

Oh my word... just when you thought it could not get any colder..... it does and it is supposed to get even colder this weekend... it is 8 degrees here with wind chills well below zero... I am going to try and do everything I can to stay indoors today although I may need to run some company errands later on... going to avoid that at all costs!

Well I don't have much news to report really.... just chugging along here and as always looking forward to Friday! Not sure about W/I this weekend as it is that TOM and that never means good things for me but it is only one W/I so I will grin and bear it and move on.

Ariana: Good luck with the flylady thing... I stopped by the website but did not stay long... I will get back around to it soon I just have lots going on right now with the kids... with one moving soon and trying to get the other ready for college we are just all going in different directions at once and I am just trying to have a hot supper every night that we can all sit down and enjoy and get caught up... even if it is soup and grilled cheese... it is about the only time that we can all be together and see what is going on with everyone and even that does not happen every night but we try.

Judy: You are right, the holidays were rough this year but we will get over them and look forward to getting back on track and looking good! I love when spring and summer finally gets here... the markets are full of good fruits and veggies that time of year unlike now when I paid 4.99 a lb for some decent tomatoes at a whole foods store the other day! I just could not believe I was even willing to pay that price but I love a sandwich with all the fixings now and then and the hot house tomatoes that they ship here in the winter are just below nasty so I thought I would stop by one of the natural markets that we have... oh well, what can you do...

Kerri: I envy you your warm weather right now... We gets lots of reports about what it is like down there now because of our football team going to the super bowl and it just looks and sounds like wonderful weather to me :D.

Bandit: Half hour! I am with Judy, that sounds like a lot of work to clean off your car... I think you earned some activity points doing that!

Chris: How are you feeling? Best wishes in finding a doctor that you will love and one that will take good care of you!

All: Good afternoon, ladies. It's grey and rainy here, which I like, except that I've been trying to wax my car for the last several weeks, and every time I have a good day to do it, when I'm not running other errands, it's always raining or about to rain. Too weird.

I've been enforcing my own rules about no snacking outside of plan during the week. This is an ongoing problem with me -- I'll be really good for weeks, and then I'll slip a little, and then again, and again. It's not as though I'm eating a lot at work, but those little candies and work treats have a nasty way of adding up. Especially when I'm stressed out, my body fairly screams for chocolate. The longer I go without eating treats at work, the easier it gets, but it's harder to get started again. I know, I know, why did I stop being good about treats at work? I've had a series of exceptionally bad days these last few weeks, and I started drinking cocoa and coffee in the afternoon. It was very, very soothing. It also was 1.5 points, and I think got me into more trouble. So I clamped down on that, and I worked out Monday and Tuesday and I will tonight. My point is that tonight's my weigh-in, so wish me luck.

I know I can be long-winded. It's just the way I am. I write what I'm thinking it as I think it, so sometimes it goes on forever. That's an ADD'er for you, huh? :o :D

Anyway, not much else to report. I have been trying to keep the house as neat as possible, so as to minimize my cleaning time on the weekend. I'll probably work Friday and part of Saturday and work an hour late tonight to earn the OT for my credit card. It's not an opportunity we've ever had before at this company, so I'm jumping on it, as much as it stresses me out. My plan is to keep working out and make sure I get at least 3 hours of sewing in on Sunday to relax me again before I have to start the week over. I don't want to burn out.

Chris: Definitely go see a PC physician. If you need a specialist, he will point you in the right direction. It could be anything at this point, and the solution may be simple -- don't avoid it. P.S. -- depression could increase these feelings of unwell-ness, and trepidation about a solution. I remember when I got very depressed, going to a doctor about it was very intimidating. I put it off for months, and if I had gone earlier, things would have started to improve that much earlier. Some things may not have a quick fix, but you'll never know until you try!

Kerri: I am feeling better. It appears that the sleep medicine, which I had been taking more frequently was the culprit. I would have trouble sleeping, so I would take the sleep medicine, but I would be just as tired if not more so the next day, adn sometimes when I'm overtired I have trouble getting to sleep (as odd as it sounds), so I would take the sleep medication again...it's a vicious cycle. I was so tired that I was able to get to sleep unaided for several days, and I seem to be back on a regular sleep schedule. It's amazing how unwell sleep deprivation can make you feel, isn't it?

Princess: That is very cold indeed. Good luck with your WI, TOM and all. I'll let you know how I do with the flylady website. Hey, I love grilled cheese! :D I'm going to be working some OT to make extra money for my credit cards, so I may be doing about the same with my apartment. I think FlyLady's approach is realistic, and that it will give me the explicit permission I need to relax, and not be such a perfectionist. That's part of my problem with housecleaning. That and I have to really push myself to do it after working out at night, or to get up early and I hate to do it on the weekend. But I'm working on the housework after working out thing -- I'm trying to get stuff done Tuesday/Thursday after spinning (I get home too late M/W) and I managed to get up early for the second time this week. I didn't get anything productive done because I got sidetracked by the computer, but it's a step in the right direction.

Well, ladies, have a good day and take care!

Hi Turtles,
I'll make this quick. My weight was up today and I skipped my WI. However, my procedure is done with and the worry about it is gone. I am definitely going to WW's next week. I really expected to lose so much this week, but think the anesthesia threw my body off.
I like all you gals are writing and I send :goodvibes: to you all.

Ariana, I am so happy to hear that you are doing better...

Judy, You will do much better this week just keep the faith....:goodluck:

Susan, we are going to have some warm days coming up and I will blow as hard as I can....:whoo: (can't promise anything).....

Well its 11 more days until my vacation and I took the suitcase out so I can start to think about packing...I have started trying on clothes and the best part about losing weight is finding clothes that fit..:woo: they are all to big..

I sure hope everyone had a great day...

Kerri: Vacations rock! Where are you going and for how long? Love the fact that all of your clothing is too big! That just makes it all worth while doesn't it?

Judy: Sorry to hear that you gained... you will do great next week. I think I read some where that you retain water after having procedures done that require anesthesia so I would not worry too much about it. Glad that is all behind you!

Ariana: I understand about the credit cards and wanting to pay them off... I am in the same boat but I am a salaried empolyee so OT is not profitable for me. The part-time job hunting is not going as well as I had hoped either... it seems they can hire teenagers at a much reduced rate for evenings and weekends rather then us older folks with experience and education... oh well I will just keep trying.

Bandit: How are you doing up there? Do you have any plans for the weekend?

Chris: How are you doing?

I have to run but will check back later on. Have a very happy day all!

All: Good afternoon, ladies. I did my WI last night, and I maintained. Not what I was hoping for, but better than gaining. It did mean that I missed my January goal by .3 pounds. :( That shouldn't be too hard to catch up on, I just don't want this to be the start of a pattern...

I guess I have to go back to trying 5x a week for my workouts. <sigh> I'm going to wait one more week and see how I do when I make my 4 workouts and don't eat any snacks. It may just be that last week, with my fewer workouts and my expensive eating LA trip, have just cost me too much (that pizza I felt guilty about, and so I ate half of it. Eep!)

Sorry to ask this AGAIN, but please tell me one more time how to make the special characters, like the hug guy or the weigh in guy. I know you guys keep telling me, and I keep forgetting to check in. Can somebody tell me? ;o

That's all for now, ladies. Does anyone have anything planned for the weekend?

Judy: sorry about the weight gain. You will bounce back, I'm sure. Glad the procedure is over. Hugs to you too!

Kerri: Thank you. I'm glad to be feeling better. Yes, where are you going, and for how long? Having clothes be too big is a great thing. :D

Princess: I am normally salaried, but we are so resource constrained that they are getting desperate, and using OT to induce people to work OT, rather than ordering them to do so without compensation. Credit cards stink. Yes, I know, well paying PT jobs can be hard to find.
