Default New!

Hey everyone. My name is Jackie. I'm 22 and just here looking for support and tips from everyone. I was heavier as a pre-teen...(around 160) I lost a ton of weight throughout highschool. Until earlier in 2006 I stayed pretty slim. I'm now pushing 170 (my biggest ever. I'm 5'5) I decided I refuse to buy another size bigger in pants and try to do something about it. I partly blame becoming a bartender. All the alcohol and bar food finally caught up to me. Someone asked me if I was expecting a few weeks ago and it crushed me. I'm trying to loosly follow the weight watcher's plan. I don't go to meetings, but I have the points finder I use often. I have a cruise in 3 weeks and I want to lose at least 7 pounds (enough to lose a chin for pictures : ) After the cruise I want to try to stick with it! Hope you guys can help!!!

Hey Jackie! Welcome. I started around 174 and lost more than 20 since September. The first thing I lost was my chin.

Dontcha just love saying goodbye to the chin?? I can't wait until mine is gone!

Welcome If I can offer any advice in losing 7lbs (added on to your other post I commented on), just get active, and no more excuses! Have a food journal, and record EVERY SINGLE BITE/DRINK you take! You'd be very surprised. I couldn't figure out in the beginning why I wasn't losing weight. Well a bite here, a nibble there, and it turned out to be more calories than I was aware of! Check out the nutritional information on packages. We're like Jedi, and the nutritional information is like The Force. Am I a nerd or what?? Haha. Good luck, and glad to have you!

My face was one of the first things that stated to thin out on me. That is how people started realizing I was loosing weight. Remember after your cruise is over to come back and keep up the loosing.

This is definitely a great place to be. Every person is different with how much they can lose...some only lose a pound from their first week on, some lose over 5 the first week. It just depends on how much weight you have now and how active you are. The heavier, the more you burn. I wish you the best of luck!

And all of you are lucky...my double chin is genetic. Even when I was 140, I had it. It will never go away...ever! but that's okay, once I lose the flab everywhere else I can take the attention off.

lily2007, I was looking in Wal-Mart the other day in the book section & there was a WW cookbook. It was 20 dollars, and seemed to have a lot of good recipes in it.

to all the new ppl!
