Good morning everyone, I have a bit of catching up to do because I was truly missing in action last week. Last week was a really tough week, but today is the start of a new one. There were lots of things to sort out with my mum and I am trying to spend a lot of time with her or one the phone. Then hubby decided to lay new floorboards down, so the flat was in a mess and there was no computer connection :( for a couple of days and I was nagging hubby to hurry up so he could reconnect the computer - severe withdrawal symptoms! Anyway the floor looks really nice, just will not appreciate sweeping up the dust these type of floors attract - do I sound like a slovenly housewife (dirt don't kill you unless it falls on your head :D )
Anyway, I have decided to restart WW, I was still attending meetings, but not doing anything positive about actively trying to lose the weight. I guess with everything that was going on, I shoved "me" into the background, but I figure noone else is gonna do it for me. I am gonna buy my mini trampoline tomorrow and I am waiting for amazon to deliver my cardio bounce video. I am gonna take part in the Thanksgiving goal, but not quite sure what my goal is gonna be yet (maybe just to stick with it whatever happens. Hope everyone is well, sorry this isn't more personal, but I gotta catch up and Tech the pictures are beautiful

Good AFternoon all!!!
We all slept in this morning after hockey gaming too late last night!!!!SD#2 woke up with fever and croup and the runny green nose...I will have to put her in that bubble since I am never sick anymore!!!!:dizzy:
WE are gonna go to the Super Target that opened Thursday and fight the people in the grand opening today...I have only been to Target once and that was years ago soo I am curious to check prices and things..

Lauren-So U R having the new truck fever!!!I have to say, I love this Durango(except when parking and pulling out of the parking spaces).It is nice to have the noisy kids all the way in the back with a seat seperating them from me!!!I can put the radio on back there, and hear nothing in the front except Refman talking!!!

A NEW WEEK! ALTHOUGH, I BELIEVE IT IS STILL OCTOBER . . .
Hi all. Op yesterday. Having the candy gone really helped me. I thought about it last night and was so glad it wasn't here! After one good day though, I feel the scale should drop by pounds and pounds . . .:lol:
RR - hope you enjoyed the hockey game. Do the girls go also? I don't have a Target real close to me but others just seem to love it!
Lauren - woohoo on dh and his cleaning!:cool: Also, cool about the pressure cooker - I'm not real familiar with that either, although my mom used to use it. I should learn. I just thougt it would be hard.
Tech - oh, packing can be such a pain! How do we accumulate so much stuff?? I have to check out your pictures.
BFB - glad you got that computer up & running again! Best of luck on your "restart".

Lauren: I've been having "F250 Envy" ever since I got my F150 last year. I love my trucks. Husband has a little Mazda B2000, it has the extended cab but no seats in the back so we can't all ride in it. The F150 has the extended cab and the boys have plenty of room in the back. But I really want the F250 with 4 doors but its got to have a 6.5 ft bed on it to haul all our show 'stuff'. I've been looking a little bit. That 0% interest is really tempting right now.
I still am having a rough time finding 'quiet' time for the yoga tapes....is that a good excuse or what. We are taking a little walk every day while the weather is so great. I don't even count that as real exercise since its done at 'boy rate' which means we stop alot to look at bugs, mud, leaves, weeds, etc....
Its been wonderful to have a weekend 'off'. This has seemed like the longest weekend. I've gotten alot of things done around the house...but there is so much more to do. Made one trip to the thrift shop last night to drop off a load of clothes and things.
We're considering refinancing the house so I've got to work on the loan papers tonight - yuck.

Just a quick note. So the big boss left his computer at the airport at the security check. All of our presentations were on it. So now we are trying to get decent versions of everything onto the computers that we do have so they will be ready to be shown (thus I am online).
The bad news? I AM EATING LIKE A PIG!!! This is going to be ugly. Will try to be better and maybe hit the gym. It's not good, but YUMMMM.

I thought I was good over the weekend, but apparently not good enough! I was over a couple points yesterday, so I will have to make that up today. I refuse to let this get out of hand again!!

Rabbit- LOL, it didn't sink in with me until I read your post about the date!! I highly recommend the pressure cooker! I was really nervous about it, but if I can work it, anyone can work it!! :lol: Glad you got the halloween candy out of the house...I have not bought any yet, and I don't plan to buy it until the 30th!! Even then, I will buy something I don't like, otherwise, it'll be gone!
RR- I didn't know they had Super Target's! There's a Target by my mom's house, but I don't like it. I liked the one's I visited down south, but up here they're really junky. What do the Super ones have? DH suggested the Durango, I like them, my boss has one. I remember reading a review that said they ride rough, very truck-ish? I've decided I need to sell my car first, then look into a truck. I can drive DH's XTerra while I look.
BFB- Hope things are getting better with your mom/sister. Glad you're trying to get yourself back on track...that's important!! I dislike my hardwood floors too. I love the way they look, but they get soo dusty/dirty. Need to have lots of rugs down to "catch" the dust!!

I'm such a bad girl. I've finally figured out that my biggest problem is eating when i'm not cooking, or not at home. I had been so good last week that I was going to be down maybe 3 pounds (yes I weigh myself too often) but then I went to a friends on Saturday night and last night and today at lunch at work we had a pot luck. I don't even seem to eat too much but I gravitate towards the bad "fried" foods. It's terrible and then I feel terrible. So I'm going to weigh myself Wednesday morning and hope things are back on track by then. I know I haven't blown it all and I'm still down but I always eat and then feel so terrible. AND I REALLY DIDN'T EAT THAT MUCH!!! I just gain so easily. Anyway, I'm still on track for the next goal so I just have to keep that in mind. It's amazing how much you can beat yourself up!
Rabbit - I love hardwood floors too and I found that once I discovered the Swiffer my floors have never been so clean. I used to sweep or vacuum but it's not enough to pick up all the dust, and the dust bunnies too!! But the Swiffer picks up everything and gets under the bed and in all the corners. And the cloths are great for dusting too. (and no I don't work for the company).
Lauren - you have to try to do what I try to do and say that meal's over but I can be good now (not starting tomorrow or next week like I used to say). That's what I'm trying to do right now.
Bailey - Sounds like you're just like I said, good at home and so bad when you're away but give it your best shot so it doesn't get out of control.

Elisa- I just bought a Swiffer a week or so ago. Yes, I love it, but I don't know, when I had carpet, I wanted hardwood floors, when I got hardwood floors, I wanted carpet! So I think if I just get a couple more throw rugs around, I'll be OK! I love the Swiffer for getting under the bed (it's hard w/a king!)

I am trying to ignore the package we got from Belgium today from UPS..I know it is dark chocolate!!!We met a wonderful couple on the train and we send things back and forth....They send such great sinful gifts!!!!:devil:
Lauren--I find the Durango smooth..of course I just have 2 seater sport cars to compare it to and they were rough!!!Swifters are great even on ceramic tile to clean cat hair!!!

Well the scale said 139# yesterday morning, so I'm going to go with that for my Thanksgiving goal starting point. Got a real wake-up call yesterday morning though. Only 1 pair of my jeans really fits! I can get the rest of them on, but oh boy are they tight! Have really got to crack back down. I'm going to get back into an exercise routine this week finally. I know where all the weight came from...I was training a lot for the 3-day and as a result could eat more, but I slacked off on my training in late July but kept eating the same way...end result...more weight, more fat, less muscle...tight jeans.
Bailey - hope you got the presentation all worked out & have a fun trip! Last time I checked my sister lived in San Francisco, so unless you're her & you've moved in the past week without telling me......*LOL*
Tech - hope the move went well!
Lauren & Jul - DH has been drooling over F250 Diesel crew-cabs ever since a friend of ours let me borrow his so DH could take the Expedition to tow the Jeep to PA. He keeps talking about how much better it will tow the Jeep & I keep pointing out that right now, we only tow the Jeep about once a month, but I drive to work every day & haul the kids around a couple of times a week! *L* I wouldn't mind having one eventually, but not now...I'm not ready to give up my Expedition yet...AND I don't want to spend the money!
Rabbit - be strong on the Halloween candy. I've bought some, even bought some of my favorite....but it's for the Halloween party & therefore is not to be opened until then!

Elisa - I love my swiffer too! And use swiffer wet for a quick mop job on the tile. I have the same trouble when I'm not eating at home and really need to break it.
RR - well, that's sure nice about the couple you met.:)

Rabbit- I've been looking for the wet ones, are they the same as the dry ones, just wet? I mean, they fit the regular Swiffer, right? I noticed at BJ's that they have some mechanical kind of Swiffer wet, but I'm pretty sure I saw just regular wet ones for the regular Swiffer, right?
I tried to stay 3 pts. under yesterday, so I could make up the 3 I was over Sunday, but I only made it to 1.5 under. That's OK though because I'm just happy I was under at all...compared to the way I've been eating lately!!
And I also had a date with Gilad last night too! I made it a little further than I usually do, but then I pooped out! I only stopped once for a couple minutes too, which is better then usual. Usually I stop twice.

Lauren - here's the Swiffer scoop. They make the dry ones which I love for my hardwood and tile floors. They also make wet ones (which do fit the same swiffer pole). I think these are only okay. They're good for quick mops of small areas but I find that they dry up really quickly so I can really only do my kitchen and not more than that. For me they don't always replace regular mopping but they're not bad to have around. They do make a different Swiffer wet mop that is different. It has different pads (i think) and there's a bottle of their liquid that attaches to it. It looks kinda cool to me and then at least you won't have the drying out problem but I've held back because it had been quite expensive here. It's come down quite a bit in price but I'm not sure what it's going for now. So I just use the regular Swiffer. And that's all I know (and no I still don't work for the company!!).

Elisa- :lol: :lol: You are soo funny!! You're sure you don't have stock in Swiffer, huh?! I would like to have the wet ones for like when you spill something on the kitchen floor, or the garbage bag drips across the floor when you empty it, you know? Think I'll look for the wet ones. I don't remember how much the other wet mop was, but I saw it at BJ's and thought it was expensive, so I won't be getting it!
BFB- Congrats on 2 days OP!!! :D A girl I work with has a trampoline and she lost a bunch of weight just jumping on that everyday! I mean, she watched what she ate too, but she said she really got a good workout on the trampoline. Have fun with it!!
Anyone know how many points chicken franciase is? I can't find it in any of my books. Brought more chicken leftovers with me for lunch, but since there are auditors here, we had lunch for them and I got some of it. I don't know, I'm thinking 8 pts.? The chicken itself was probably about 4 oz.

Not much going on today. Probably will have to work late since I have session duty, but that's about it. Stayed within points yesterday, although I didn't get any "real" exercise in...but I caught up on 3 weeks of ironing DH's work clothes....he was getting desparate! *L* (Yes, he can iron, but he hates it, and since he does some things that I hate to do for me, I do all his ironing.) I left the house this morning with my breakfast & my lunch to keep myself under control today...unfortunately I forgot until I got to work that I will probably be here late and won't really have time for dinner, so whatever I get will probably come from the grill, which doesn't really have any healthy options...but I'll do the best I can to stay within points.
Rabbit - we use the Swiffer wets to wipe down the interior of the cars..especially works well on the Jeep after we've been 4-wheeling!
Lauren - 1.5pts under maximum & longer w/Gilad w/less stopping time = progress in my book! Great job!

I have recently well for about 3 months now been using the Leslie Sansone walking tapes and do the 3 mile everyday.But I can't shake the feeling of being tired:?:
Thought maybe it was low iron so I tried a multivitamin but with more iron and my body didn't like that one..I know I am getting enough B12 so I am at a loss:mad:

O.K. the PMS munchies hit big time yesterday. I kept going to the kitchen. I finally stopped and had a little talk with myself. I thought about what I really wanted and decided it was chocolate turtle cheesecake!! I drove all the way to the store (o.k. its only 4 miles...but this was a special trip). Bought the cheesecake and came home. 3 bites was just enough, it was what I really wanted, and I quit munching!! I'm handling the PMS much better too!!! Must be something in that chocolate.
I hope 3 bites doesn't affect the scales!!!!!

BFB - You have the best picturea attachments, they are so cute!! It sounds like you're being good (and honest). Just don't let your little snack yesterday give you permission to "fall off the wagon"!! If you're good today, that cake won't even matter. Keep up the good work!
Jul - sounds like you had the right idea - going for exactly what you were craving instead of eating everything in sight and still not feeling satisfied. But I don't think I could have stopped at 3 bites. Good for you. Are you like me and weigh yourself all the time?? (I know it's wrong but it works for me)
Ontarioangel - happy to see you stop in. If you're always so tired, have you mentioned it to your doctor? There's quite a few medical reasons that might be the answer and could be easy to fix.

Since I do weigh all the time I have to say it's weird the way my body is. Last week the weight seemed to fall off (although it came back with my bad weekend eating) and this week it's holding strong even though I've been so good. I'm sure it will all work out in the end but it's weird.

Well, I screwed up last night. I had to have the freaking 2nd brownie thing...I should've never brought it home!! I was 2.5 over yesterday, which brings my total to 3 over for the week. I'm not happy with myself, but it is still an improvement from previous weeks. I mean, last week I was more than a whole day over in points!! So I think I should take the 3 pts. over and run with it!!
I feel like I have lost, but I snuck a look at the scale this AM...for the first time all week, which is an accomplishment, and it shows a maintain, possible gain. Maybe it's last week catching up with me? I did not get to do Gilad last night, there was an EMT training session at the firehouse. So DH and I went to Treasure Island and bought some stuff for the party, and he made me get some stuff to decorate our door. He (kiddingly) said he's embarrassed that the neighbors downstairs have pumpkins, and things in the grass, and stuff on the door, and we have nothing. He said to get my creative juices flowing!! :lol: I said, hey, you're the artist in the family!!
Pryia- Good to see you stop in...glad to hear you'll be coming back...but you know you didn't have to go away just because you weren't OP!!
Jul & BFB- Glad you got it out of your system!! I love cheesecake, but thankfully it doesn't have the effect chocolate has on me, otherwise I'd be 500 lbs.!! Tonight, since it's WI night, I will have some choc. icecream that DH made over the weekend. I may have chinese for dinner too.

Hmmmmm...all these confessions!!!Let's see?????I ate cheese puffs but locked the bag up immediately after eating a few!!!I learned that when U crave, get a few in a bowl and then eat them but never leave an opened bag in site!!!
Has anyone here ever had carpal tunnel???I have been suffering for 2 days with the worse pain and numbness to my left hand..It keeps me awake at night cuz I am not taking any meds until Aunt Flo arrives...I get relief by keeping my hand straight and putting ice and then wake up with the worse pain when I curl up to sleep...Too weird that this happens all of a sudden????
Well, off to go to the doctor to get it checked out~

Had a good WI last night, I lost 1.8 lbs. this week! DUH, see what happens when you stay OP?! Of course i totally pigged out after WI. Had to work late so I didn't make it to the early mtg., but went to the 7:30 mtg. By the time it was over, I was famished!! Decided to get chinese food. I knew I would be over for the day, but i didn't realize how much. I had choc. icecream that DH made...way too much of it. I used to be able to eat that much no problem, and then some, but I could've been happy with a half a cup...and I wouldn't have felt like crap either!!
It's a new week, and I intend to be just as good (sans last night), if not better, than I was last week!!
Pryia- Working too hard, or just insomnia? Get some sleep girl!! Have a great birthday!! I used to have a list of B-days, from the "old gang", but it's lost somewhere at mom's!
RR- Have you tried Smart Puffs? Can't remember who makes them, might be the same people as the Booty stuff. They're better than cheese doodles and less points. Can't remember exactly, but they're good! My mom has Carpal Tunnel, or arthitis or something in her hands...must be a nurse thing. A few years ago she had these wrist supports made, they took molds of her wrists. Maybe you could just get wrist supports, you know like some bowlers wear to keep their wrists straight?
Rabbit- Cookie dough? I love cookie dough...only choc. chip cookie dough though! Haven't eaten it in a longtime though. Hope WI went well!
Jul- I don't know what Choc. Turtle cheesecake is, but I don't think I wanna know!! :lol: It sounds evil!!

Lauren-Yep it was carpal tunnel and he made me a wrist splint that I slept with and it made all the difference in the world..He even told me that pregnant women get CT ------hmmmmmm....wouldnt that be great !!!!:lol: I found some neat halloween food ideas at www.chefmom.com It also has some good crock pot things to make..Go under geoparent on the left hand side and then U will see "Gross Haloween treats".

I lost .2 last night (and I will take it and be happy because of the cookie dough fiasco - I was way over on points that day and only got to have popcorn for dinner). I've done a couple of extra miles this week and am considering trying some running . . . (which is totally an odd thing to come out of my mouth).:lol:

Just a quick check in since I haven't had time today. I'm just now getting ready to leave work...on a Friday night, doesn't that suck? But I had to get something finished that got thrown at me late yesterday afternoon.
Good news is...I had a perfectly OP day yesterday & despite the stress I was under today I've stayed away from the unplanned munchies and even though I'm starving at the moment I'm going to wait until I get home (another hour) and eat something healthy. I'm trying to fill up a little with water at the moment! *L*
I had some extra incentive because the scale said I was down 2# this morning! Not an "official" weigh-in day, but if I stick to it this weekend it should still be there on Monday!
Lauren - congrats on the 1.8#
Rabbit - funny you should say that about running...I just told DH last night I think my next goal, now that my big walk is over, is to become an actual runner. I did a little jogging during my walk last night and it felt pretty good, so I think I'm going to start looking for a 5K that's a few months away and start trying to train to actually RUN it!
Sorry I'm not hitting everything I know I want to from everyone's posts, but I'm tired & I'm going home!

Well, I made it back. I posted all of my food (that I can remember) on the food thread, but didn't even attempt the points. It was not good, but oh well.
Can't remember my exact weight when I left, but it was somewhere between 151.5 and 152.5 on the home scale. I got on today and it was only 153!!! Maybe it's waiting to sneak up on me, HOPE NOT!
So, I go to WW tomarrow and Wendesday. My goal was to be at my 10/10 weight on 10/24. Tomarrow's WI should tell me if that is possible (unless the 10 lbs I SHOULD have gained while gone show up between saturday and wendesday:(
Sounds like all are doing well. Will try to catch up more later.
PS: Swifter's are my life!!! I love them. They have changed my life! Well, ok so that's a lie, but they are very handy.

Thanks to everyone for all the well-wishes and encouragement.
Well, I seem to be down 1 after my week of unbrideled eating! Not quite sure why, but I'm not complaining. It is good to be home and getting back to things.
For all those who weigh each day: I would recommend a program called weight commander (I believe that dotti talks about it). I downloaded it several eears ago for $10. You put your weight in each day, and it calculates your "moving average" which smooths out daily fluctuations.
I like it because I know (after tracking my weight for 3 months) that I gain up to 5 lbs at tom. I also gain up to 5 at ovulation! If these times fell on a WI day and I only weighed once a week, I think I would be very disapointed. Anyway, its a cool program.
Rabbit: Sorry to hear about the difficulties with certain food items! Good idea to bring the candy to the neighbors. NO EXCUSES!!!
RR: Loved Brugge! Good luck with those chocolates, some of those seem to have appeared in my luggage on the trip home! Just back from target myself - great store! Sorry to hear about the wrists.
LBH: You go girl!! Do NOT get down on yourself about 3 points. You are doing great! Congrats on the loss! Trust me, you do NOT want to know what turtle cheesecake is.

Legal - Yeah op! you are doing so well! Hope the 2 pounds is still gone at weigh in. Super idea about the 5k. I'm going to try out the running during my walks and see how I like it. I was talking to a man who just did the Chicago marathon and that is what inspired me to try running. Funny that you are thinking that way too! It would be so cool to run a 5k.
Bailey - WELCOME BACK!:) Congrats on your loss and I hope it doesn't sneak back up on you! Just be really really good and maybe it won't. Cool idea about the weigh in program.

Rabbit- :devil: It's all your fault!! I made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies today...well, I made the dough last night, the cookies this AM. Of course I ate a bunch of dough last night! In fact lunch today was cookies!! :rolleyes: I used a melon baller to make them, so they're small...a little bigger than a snack well's cookie. I figured them out to be 1 pt. for 2 cookies. Put them in containers and will be sending some to work with DH and I will bring some too.
It was the first time I used my Kitchen Aid mixer though, and I loved it!! Man, it sure takes the hassel out of making cookies!! I've got this great idea for when I have to make the cut out cookies for the Halloween party...you know those old egg slicers...not the ones they have now where you plop the egg in and pull the thing down...I mean the kind that you push down over the egg, with the egg on the counter? My mom has one, and I was thinking, I bet that would be a real easy way to cut the cookie dough for them...ya' think??
Bailey- Congrats on the loss!! You probably did a lot more exercise in Brussels, that's why you lost...you think? That's what happened to me on the cruise I went on almost two years ago. I ate like a pig all week, and lost 4 lbs.!! It was all that Ship Shape activity!!
LE- You know, it seems like out of all the days of the work week, Friday is always the day I end up staying late! I intended to leave at 4:30 Friday, since I worked OT Thursday, but I got busy doing something for my "boss", and ended up staying there til 5:30!! He's a good guy though, so I didn't mind...and it was stimulating work, not boring stuff.
Speaking of which, did I ever mention that I'm totally obsessed with my "boss"?? I put that in quotes because he's actually my boss's boss. My boss in home based in Atlanta, in fact my whole department (well, all 4 of them!) is home based around the country, except me...life is unfair! Anyway, my boss's boss, is a Global VP, reporting directly to the Pres. of the CRO. He doesn't have an assistant, so he uses me and a few other exex. assts. to do stuff for him. I don't know if this is a newlywed thing, or what, but I've found myself totally obsessed with him. He's probably in his mid 40's or so, and he's soo good looking, I can't help myself!! I mean, I would never do anything, but it's kind of a fun past time I guess! Is that completely crackheaded of me?! Anyone else ever feel that way?!
RR- I have seen that stuff at ChefMom...some cool stuff. That's good that you got a wrist support. Hope it feels better soon!
