I got this idea from another forum...it was so successful they made it into a sticky. I thought we could all write down our favorite quotes that motivate and inspire through out this journey. Mine is super simple, but so, so true.

"Failing to plan, is planning on failure."

What is your favorite quote or saying??? :D

Mine has always been "Do not trade what you want most for what you want right now".

"Get up each morning, look at yourself in the mirror, and see yourself not as someone who is overweight or out of shape, but as the someone you will become." (Phil McGraw)

I like this one - "Nothing tastes as good as being thin FEELS"

And yes sometimes I have to repeat it over and over again in my mind. Or out loud.

"This is not a dress rehersal. This is your life" -Dr, Phil
If you make a mistake you do not have to start over but simply keep going.
A year from now you'll wish you had started today.

I now walk into a room and think "Do these people like me?" I wish to someday walk into a room and think "Do I like these people?"

(this would be an awesome sticky thread. Some deays you need these kinds of encouraging, motivating words and it can be difficult to tell them to yourselfe.)

WOW Tracey - I REALLY like that qoute!!

My favorites today are:

If you REALLY want to loose, you'll find a way and if you don't want to, you'll find an excuse ~ it is all up to you.

Don't wail on the scale if you cheat when you eat!

Continuous effort--not strength or intelligence-is the key to unlocking our
potential. Winston Churchill

Here's mine:

"Do or do not, there is no try" ~Yoda

This one says it all for me. I'm not trying to lose weight, I'm DOING it!

Exercise and eating healthy is not a punishment; it is a gift to yourself.

I have an inspirational one and a funny one:

"You don't know what power you have until you make choices in a hard time." -Lord Dragnys

Funny (but true):
"No man in the world has more courage than the man who can stop after eating one peanut." -Channing Pollock

That IS funny, but true, oh so true. Oh yeah, you mentioned that. Oops.

I like this one...You can't be hurt by people you don't care about!!!

If you don't like them...or care about them...who cares what they say!!!

My Dad always tells me, "Nothing worth having comes easy."
I always tell my girls, "Don't say I can't...say I will try."

Maybe not uplifting - but true and it's my favourite paraphrase if not a quote!

A feminist (who's name escapes me) once said that the epitaph on her gravestone would read 'Great writer, mother, partner, daughter, fundraiser for worthy causes, BUT SHE WAS FAT'!
