Exercise! - A good online toning/weight training program?

I am looking forward to this year to get off to a good start and finally finish losing the last of the remaining weight. =)

I enjoy going to the gym 4-5 times a week but all I do is cardio. I know that I need to start incorporating more weights to put on some muscle and tone. I am just not sure where to even begin. I HATE going to the gym and just looking blankly at the vast sea of machines that I have NO idea what the heck half of them are for.

Does anyone know of a good site or program that is customizable so I can sit down and schedule my training days, what I want to focus on and that is easily printed. I would really like to start with doing most of the weight training at home to begin with- less intimidating. Something that would also show examples of how to do the exercise.

Any ideas? I know I'm picky. ;)

On the Ladies Who Lift forum, there are stickies with websites that show exercises. However, does your gym offer one free orientation or personal training session? Most gyms I've been to offered these types of sessions, particularly because they don't want you to get injured lifting inappropriately. If you have the extra cash, hiring a personal trainer for one or two sessions would be really helpful.

I would also recommend at least having 1 training session with a trainer if you've never used weights before. Proper form is critical so that you don't hurt yourself and although you can kind of figure it out on your own, I highly recommend talking with a professional at least once.
