I am happy to report, no make that ecstatic to report that last week after upping my water intake, upping my exercise and decreasing my calories just a bit, I was rewarded with a :coach: 6 1/2 lb loss for the week!!! I'm sorry I didn't mean to shout, but I'm really, really happy about it. :cloud9: Chances are I will never, ever see a number like that again :( . but I'm gonna keep on trying, you never know, stranger things have been known to happen. :)

I love week 1 losses :) 8 pounds for me! From here on out I'll be THRILLED with an average of 2 pounds per week.

I dont know how much I lost total cause I know I gained weight at xmas. But I weighed in yesterday at 177.4 and a week ago I was 180. So 3lbs loss that I know of.

01-02-2007, 12:57 PM
The scales are down 2.2 lbs this week. :carrot:
I've had the flu and I know this is probably water weight, but, hey....I'll still take it!

01-02-2007, 01:01 PM
Down 2.6 for the week!

01-02-2007, 03:00 PM

01-02-2007, 03:30 PM

01-02-2007, 04:27 PM
Congrats everyone! :)

Congratulations everyone!

I have been weighing myself every day and I'm starting to get a little obsessed. So I will try once a week. Today was 232.0, I will weigh again next tuesday.

P.s. Raelynn, Beautiful baby! Congrats!

Wow, great job, everybody!! :)

I just maintained this week. I had several days over the Christmas break when I ate a bit too much, but I really kept up with my workouts even though I was out of town. I even ran 2.4 miles without stopping, which I was pretty proud of! I think I'll see a big loss next week -- I certainly hope so. I've been kind of stuck during the holidays at 218.

Great job everyone!

Rockinrobin - you shout out all you want to! And I think you'll see another loss like that again, but no matter what you're doing outstanding!

108tolose - Wonderful job on the weight loss!! I love those week one losses also! It almost makes me want to fall off the weight watching wagon so that I can start over again (NOT!!! LOL). How did your husband do this week?

Leygh - What a great weight loss! Good job on getting back on track after the holidays!!

Rhonda - I'm sorry to hear that you've had the flu! But take the weight loss any way you can! And you just might be surprised to find out that it isn't just water weight!!

CC - good job! And you're already down 45 on your exercise minutes which means you are ahead of the game to reach your January goal!!

Raelynn - Welcome back to the weekly weight loss thread! And I've already said it on the other post, but it deserves another plug...Erik is a beautiful baby!

Lisa - WOW! The only time I ever ran 2 miles (much less 2.4) was when I was in high school and the only reason I did it then was because it was manditory! What an outstanding accomplishment!! And I'm sure you'll see a big loss next week!

I did sneak onto the scale last week and I weighed 272. Yuck, that puts me at a 29 lb gain for last year. Oh well this year will be much better. So here we go again! You know that's how life is, you have your ups and downs. As long as the downs outweigh the ups then we are ok. So I have 47 lbs to get to my goal of 225. I think that is doable by my 40th birthday in June. That is 22 weeks to lose 47 lbs.`That is 2.13 lbs per week. I think I can do that. I really do want to be at my goal by my 40th birthday. I know it's just a number but it's important to me to be at goal by 40. I've always been numbers oriented.

Congrats to all!! Go us!!!!

Okay because I’m new, I’ve gained weight over the Holidays and Wednesday is the day of the week I mark my weight…. I’m going to start with just posting my weight this week and then start counting next week…^_^.

Weighed in at 216.2 this morning.

I'm new (again), so I will post my starting weight for this week. It's funny, I won't tell it to anyone I know, but I"ll post it on a forum. ;)

I am starting at 279. That was my motivation!

I started last Sunday at 239 (oh dear! I am only 5'1") So I will weigh again this Sunday. Your posted losses are amazing! Keep up the awesome work!:balloons: :cheer:

I'm new. I weighed in this morning at 254, which is a gain of 6 pounds over the holidays. I plan on weighing in every Wed (or Thurs if I forget!)

When he weighed in "officially" on Tuesday, he'd neither lost nor gained. Wednesday morning - 3 pound loss (doesn't it always figure?). He's back to going to the gym 2x a day when he's off of work, so he'll lose more quickly. Thanks for asking!

This is my first weigh in and the scale read 309. Hope to report a loss next week.

Congratulations! That's awesome! :bravo: I know what an issue you and I both have with those doggone scales :( I didnt do so good with staying off the scales....I made an impulse decision to get on them about 30 mins ago....nope, they've not gone down 1 single pound...yep, I'm fighting extreme disappointment and discouragement right now...even though I know I've only strictly followed Southbeach for two days now. I wish I had waited until Monday....arghh!

236.5 this morning! YAY!! Another 2 pounds! Only 66 more to go!!

01-05-2007, 07:03 PM
This is my first official weigh-in. I'm at 235. in Feb. the night I went into the hospital to have my daughter, I was at 262, that was my highest weight ever. I only gained 6 pounds when I was pregnant with her. I now weight what I weighed when I got pregnant with son (which was almost 3 years ago).
Here's hoping for a wonderful, weight-losing journey.....:crossed:

01-05-2007, 07:10 PM
Well at Christmas, I was 265, and today I am at 259....so my first week I lost 6 lbs!! :carrot:
Hopefully this trend continues!!!

Girly - You can do it ~ just ignore that thing till Monday now!! It is getting easier to not obsess about it - almost like a game to me now. I go in the bathroom and I tell myself, one more time, you just ignore that scale one more time.
