Well, I just joined Push today, and I am looking forward to getting the videos. Any recommendations for which videos to choose? I picked Bob Harper as my trainer and The LowDown with Petra Kolber for my first cardio. I have never done workout videos before, so I would appreciate any advice. Thanks everybody!

I would love to have feedback on PUSH videos as well. I am interested in trying these, but they are costly.
Thanks!

My main concern was the cost, also, but I think that it is worth it, for me at least. Here is my experience with Push:

I am expecting my second month's shipment in the mail today. The first month was great!!! Before I even finished session 1 (first two weeks), I noticed that I could actually feel the muscles in my upper arms. My brother used to always say, "Flex your muscles" and then squoosh my arm and laugh at me. This time he said, "Wow, you actually kind of have a bicep!"

I did the cardio, too, and I really liked it. The first day, I had no idea what was going on with the different steps she was doing, but now I have the whole thing memorized.

I highly recommend the program for people like me who want to work out at home. I think it's definitely worth the money for me, because if I didn't have it I would be doing hit-and-miss random stuff. The strength program is sequenced, so it gets harder every two weeks. You could go buy a workout DVD at the store, but I don't think any of them would be as well sequenced as Push. You can customize it on the website, to work certain body parts harder or easier. If you like working out at the gym, or you already have a strength plan and know how to do the exercises, it might not be worth the $25/month.

I'm waiting for my month 5 DVD to arrive any day now, so I obviously like the program. :D Well, I like the strength training part that is. The cardio portion is not my favorite as I cannot doing jumping and higher impact things due to ankle and knee medical issues and all of the cardio sessions but one had a lot of that in it.

Consistency is key. You really do need to be able to do the strength portion 3 days a week in order to be ready for the next session/ DVD. Also, make sure you don't pick too challenging of a starting level. You can choose from levels 1-4, with 4 being the toughest and one being beginner. I picked three and now am rather regretting it, but I refuse to give up.

I've been so back on forth on deciding to do PUSH or not do PUSH. I prefer to exercise at home and I have quite a bit of exercise quipment/accessories. I may do it after all.

I am enjoying my second month DVD. I thought the workout would be too hard, but it really isn't. I definitely couldn't have done it a month ago, but they kind of work you up to it gradually!

72butterfly, I think they still have their "first month free" promotion on the website, so you could join for two months, and pay only $25. Not bad for two months worth of sequenced workouts (plus the cardio sessions) I think after two months you would know if it was worth the $25 per month or not. I'm still not thrilled about the cost, but I think it's worth it for me personally.

I just got my 5th month dvd in the mail today. Bob is also my trainer. My level is begginer and I really like the resistence training. But not too crazy about the cardio portions, except for grooves1, which I thought was pretty good.

I think as long as you use it, it is worth the cost. Although, I would not object if they offered dvd's with only resistance for less money--since I am am not really using the cardio part anyway, and substituting with other cardio.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I am trying to decide which cardio to do next month. What is the Grooves cardio like? I did The Low Down last month and I am doing Combat this month. Some of the kicks are a little too much, but overall I can do it without collapsing (which is a big improvement, lol.) I know you said you didn't really use the cardio, but if you have any suggestions for which ones are better/worse, let me know!

I also just joined the PUSH program and chose Bob Harper and The LowDown with Petra Kolber...I am definately looking foward do doing this...and it's only $25 a month, compared to the $40 for the gym here. And there's no one to stare at me.

I loved Petra's workout, although I am pretty uncoordinated so it took me a while to learn all the steps. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!
