Default 2007 Goals

Do you have any? Would you like to share them?

My goals for 2007

1. loose 100lbs
2. get back into shape
3. build some muscle (I want some sexy non-batwing type arms by summer)
4. learn consistency
5. be able to wear shorts without worrying about my cottage cheese type legs making a spectacle of themselves.

My goal for the year is to get under 200. For me that means a loss of 53 pounds.

Method? Consistency, exercise, not eating late at night, not allowing junk into the house. Planning meals in advance and having the proper foods on hand to cook and serve.

My goals are:

1. regular exercise 5 x a week
2. lose 4 lbs. (so I weigh less on the dr. scales) it bugs me to be 143 on mine and 147 on his.
3. stick to low carb plan and write my food down daily.
4. get outdoors for more yardwork and physical activity, IE. plant hedges.
5. keep healthy food options in the house at all times.
6. build up some endurance on my new elliptical.

I think I can get to my goal weight this year - but only if I commit to some INTENTIONAL exercise! So with that in mind:

1. Walk 10,000 steps 5 days per week

2. Walk 5,000 two days per week

3. Pilates - 5X

4. Weights - 5X

If I don't make goal weight with this plan - "oh well" - at least I'll be healthier and fitter - which is my ultimate goal!

Goals: To eat healthier and attempt to get exercise in. I'm trying to be realistic and make my goals do-able so I don't look back at the "shoulda, woulda, coulda" type excuses. I know my goals are do-able!!!

In 2007 I will:
1. Reach my new "mini" goal wt of 175 by sticking to my other goals
2. Staying OP (with preplanned exceptions) just like I've been doing - and it's worked so far!
3. Preplanning my workouts starting next week.
4. Start work on my BSN (Bachelor's degree in nursing)
5. Plan my time better - not just slop through my weeks - it's time to prioritize!

Smile Frst post, Hi everyone!

Hi Everyone!

I'm new but have been reading and thank everyone for all the useful info!

I did Atkins a couple years ago and lost the 20 pounds I needed to lose but retreated to past behaviors. I now have decided this is going to be a life change....it's the only way to eat where u can eats lots of food and still lose weight or maintain!

Goals : 30 pounds and quit smoking! I have had the same goals most of my life, losing and regaining, and now with menopause approaching I want to do this and move onto something else!

Default Newbie with 2007 goals

I woke up on the morning of my 39th birthday (December 22) and realized I have been fat for over 1/2 my life and the only way I was going to change that was to quit "trying" to lose weight and to actually DO IT. I don't want to be fat forever and have been waiting for something to happen in my life to miraculously make me thin and fit. Hah!

My goal for 2007:

To lose 50 lbs
To exercise 3-4 x a week.
