JM - I see you've entered a new decade. Congrats! Somehow with everything going on you're still managing to lose. :)

Cassi-confession time-that was saturday's weight. However-I had a bit of a bad weekend that I tried to fix the FF and ended up blowing that! Grr! So yesterday i filled out my diary for the next couple of days to get back on track. I don't think I can do extended periods of meal replacements. I end up binging. Once or twice a week is all I can handle.

So-back in the saddle again. Now if only I would stay in there! Jumping on and off is making me weary :)

I know what you mean. I wasn't ready for any more TO at the beginning of the year, and I still don't know how I stuck out the 16 day challenge. When everyone did TO at the beginning of the year, I just wanted to focus on staying OP. No fancy stuf. 2 bars a day, no shakes, hot chocolate, etc. It's like the mentality of all or nothing. You deprive your body to the point where you feel really deprived and then you binge. Been there! But good luck on the back to basics.

Hi Everyone - I hope your days are going well so far!

Wendy - Congrats on the loss! You and I started just about the same time.. I'm hoping my next WI will be down another .5 so I can jump for joy over an even 10# loss. Keep doing what you're doing! :carrot:

Cassi & Ulanda - You're right about unanswered posts, and this place being awesome! I've tried to post in other places, and if you're a newbie and no one acknowleges you - you're probably not going to stay. One of the other boards I post on is like here.. newbies always accepted.. in fact the other board we almost badger them to get to know them! We start a thread called "Grill the Newbie" and fire the questions as them. Cruel, but fun.. hee hee heee

Katiebug - Woo hoo for the 40lb mark!! Way to go!

Nicole - You look too young to know what the WonderTwin Powers are :-) I like you're thinking though.. form of supermodel! lol.. that's awesome!

Ok.. I'm out of time.. big hellos to everyone else! I have to go out into the frozen tundra for lunch.. it's only 9 degrees here.. and the windchill is -14. I'm gonna have icicles hanging off of my nookers by the time I get to my car!
Later all,

Kimphin
01-31-2007, 01:58 PM
nookers or knockers???? LOL!

juliemarie
01-31-2007, 02:02 PM
what's a nooker? :D

KrispieD
01-31-2007, 02:06 PM
A nooker is what I give the staff at COD when they say I have gained or they are out of Lites..

A nooker in the keistcher!

Kristen-just use the stick!

01-31-2007, 02:14 PM
Kristen - I think my COD is newly scared of me... or should I say wary. After meeting the new manager on her first day Monday, and telling her my waiting for half hour story, today I got the ***'t mgr who said to me all concerned - "are you on your lunch break? I'l get you in and out quick!" probably to lessen the chances of me going postal while I'm there. Better to have it happen somewhere else!

01-31-2007, 02:15 PM
Cassi - LOL!! I haven't worn a two-piece since I was 15 years old. I'm a little TOO blessed up top and have always been self conscious. Now that I've had two c-sections, I'll probably never be brave enough to try it again. My belly is QUITE unsightly!! (Sigh) Maybe a tankini though. Always wanted one of those.

WendyII - Thanks!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that the scale goes down that 1/2 lb for ya. Brrrr! 9 degrees. I've only been in below 0 windchills the year that I attended Appalachian State in the NC mountains. It is NOT fun walking to class in temps that low. Nookers??? Don't believe I've ever heard 'em called that before. Tee hee...

mamato2girls
01-31-2007, 02:16 PM
Kristen, you are too funny!!

Kimphin
01-31-2007, 02:23 PM
Wendy - reminds me of a NYS college in the western part of the state that a friend of mine went to that had ROPES between the buildings because the lake effect snowstorms and wind would get so bad that you could get lost on the way to class! No thanks...

bizlawchik
01-31-2007, 02:24 PM
Aaahhh, tankini! Last year I had a cute tank top/shorts on the bottom thing. I wonder what this summer will bring?

bizlawchik
01-31-2007, 02:25 PM
Kim - I would look at online classes at that point!

01-31-2007, 03:26 PM
Hey everybody!

Katiebug - :congrat: on your 40#!! :woo:

I asked at my COD about online access, and that was an extra fee ($99)

Kristen - WTG on your loss!

Wendy - Congrats to you!!

Kim - what's a winter without lake effect snow and wind? LOL I grew up in Buffalo, so I know that deal all too well...

Hope everyone is having a great POP day!!

Hello all. Just wanted to post on here to say hi and to say that I've joined LAWL for the 3rd and final time. I quit the first time due to pregnancy, and the 2nd time due to moving and now I'm back and ready to lose my final amount! More about me to come.

Wendy--where at in NC are you? I moved here just this last July. I love it!

Ok, so that little introduction was made by my sister. Funny pic, but I CANNOT play the guitar. She thinks she's so funny. (She is, but don't tell her that.) Thanks for all the words of encouragement, now that boot camp is over (my sis gave me that BIG push I needed) I really feel like I can do this again. Looking forward to getting to know all the people my sis never shuts up about. :D

Welcome Colleen!! So glad you've joined us.

Kim - Wow! Ropes between the buildings, huh? I never experienced anything like that!

JLem - I live just southeast of Raleigh. I'm a born and bred North Carolinian. :)

Angie - I asked my COD about the web access today and was told that we would probably be getting it sometime this year. My center is a franchise.

Mama Nicole
01-31-2007, 04:07 PM
so have any of you seen the friends where they show Ross as a teenager........with his fro........and his keyboard??? And, when asked what he did over the summer, he replied, "oh, not too much, I've mostly been working on my music?" LOL. love it.

anyway, we had just gotten these pictures back from Christmas, and we really laughed at this one of Colleen. I was trying to get her to post a pic here on 3FC, and she claimed not to have one. Well........I did give her some time.......and then I "helped" her out. She is a goofball......so this photo is very appropriate. She looks like a super happy folk singer, doesn't she???? Oh, and if you were wondering.......the guitar is my 11 year old nephew's. He got it for Christmas :)

Nicole and Colleen - You guys crack me up! I liked the Friends episode where they do the "routine". DH keep threatening to sign us up for a dance class so we can have one.

JLem311
01-31-2007, 04:13 PM
i love the friends episode with "the routine!" hilarious!

Wendy-I'm south of Raleigh. I'm a born and bred midwestern girl. But I really am getting used to it here. Everyone in the city I'm in is so friendly.

01-31-2007, 04:27 PM
Oh, you gotta love Friends. Every episode a winner.

Colleen- Welcome! We just adore your sister, now we get you too!

Cassie- Personally, I can't wait to see your routine!

Welcome Colleen and Jlem...We are so happy that you have joined us. You will absolutely love it here.

I wish you both great success on your journey to healthy living.

I just finished a kick butt workout, OMG! I hadn't tried this one before and I am telling you, it is exactly what it says a Total Body Blast.

Did really good this first day of FF. I almost had a cup of coffee which is allowed, but I have only had 1 cup since the beginning of the year.

Have a great evening everyone.

Now get back to your COD now!

You know...I've been thinking today (males are known to do that on occasion). Going to my COD for a WI and going up in weight is probably what I need. I've been avoiding and picking without really knowing the damage. If I go in and go up a couple of lbs, it may just be the kick in the arse i need!

bizlawchik
01-31-2007, 08:46 PM
Kristen - You beat me to the punchline! The routine can also include the occasional ceiling fan.

Jason - Nothing like a gain to get you back on track. That's why I still go 3x/week even when I know the scale will probably be up. Good luck!

JLem - I'm not a vegetarian, but I do eat a lot of veggie products. If you have any questions, let us know. There was one girl, Holly, who was a vegetarian and if you go back to the daily menu thread for November and December you can look at some of her menus for some ideas.

Wendelina

holy crap is right, dan!!

Angie
01-31-2007, 10:02 PM
Hey, I posted earlier, but it's gone missing. Oh well...

I was down 1lb at weigh in today, so good news for me.

Jason, when do you go back to the COD?

Jlem, sorry I'm not a vegetarian either. How do you find the plan so far? Is there enough variety for you?

Wendy, I asked at my COD about the online stuff tonight and they asked me why I wanted to see it. lol. Weird, huh? Then they said they checked and the site was down, and that's why it wasn't working. I don't believe them, but I also can't figure out why they would like about it.

Libby, where are you these days? How are things going?

Good Evening All!!
I went to WI today and was down from Monday a whopping 3.4 lbs, so I guess it does pay to eat OP and not screw around!! Woohoo!! :carrot:
I'm BAACCCCCKKK!!! hehe
Anywho, congrats to all who are losing, and to all who are stuck like me, quit screwin around!! (as my daddy would say) I hope I didn't offend anyone, it's just that I'm in an awesome mood and want it to rub off if anyone needs it!
I'm not good at personals, but one day soon I'll try...
Pearl, I miss you and your words of wisdom!
Cassi, I love your posts too, they have helped me more than you'll ever know!
Kristen, Kim, Wendelina, Dan, etc, etc, etc... Thanks, I love reading everyone's posts and feel like I know ya'll!!
Ok, well, I'm out for the night, just did Tony Little's Advanced Butt Kicking Total Body Workout on my Gazelle, and it kicked my butt!! :kickbutt:

Yes, I am suffering from frozen nookers! What are nookers you ask?

The word "nookers" originated during some wierd board game that my family was playing.. my dad actually came up with it. We determined that nookers could be substituted for any part of the human anatomy... so that way men and women alike could benefit from this very useful word. :D

The weather here is going to be taking a nasty downward turn by the weekend.. -19 degrees - that's without the windchill. I think nookers of any size or shape will literally make a *clinking* sound while you're walking in that kind of cold!

Welcome to Colleen! It's great that you're here!

That's all I've got tonight.. I have to go find something to eat for my last fruit of the day and then play some poker and go to bed..
G'Nite!

Welcome Colleen - it's about time you got on here. Love the picture......we all adore your sister........she's quite the witty one.

Cassi - OMG........you're waisting away LOL...

Katie - did you get your answer on the plans yet...blue gets 1/2 more protein and 1 more starch.

Kim - well, I'm kicking myself for not having pet insurance right now....Charlie's bills totalled almost $1500 last week and then Emma's silly toe was another $130. So advice to all pet owners is (a) get pet insurance if you can afford it and (b) keep your dog's nails clipped!! Guess new dining room furniture will have to wait another year or two, but I'm okay with that.

Angie - Congrats on your loss.....WTG.

Night all and keep up the good work!

Wendy - are you an online poker player......??? I'm afraid I'd get addicted and y'all would never see me again! Hope you did well. I did buy a "Win for Life" lottery ticket.....I know some folks think it's crazy to buy these things, but I like "dreaming" for a few hours about how I'd spend the money...

Well, getting ready to turn in for the night. Not sure what tomorrow will bring because there predicting some winter weather to begin around 6am. They've already delayed school in our county for 2 hours (always overly cautious here in NC), so I'm working at home. Yay!! And, somehow I managed NOT to get my fat in for today. Not sure how I managed that!! I don't have any nuts or sunflower seeds around the house, and the thought of downing a teaspoon of butter or oil doesn't sound too appetizing right now!!:barf: Guess I could do it like a shot...tee hee. Oh, and more bragging about my ODD. She won the student of the month award at her school today!! Her picture will be in the paper and she got a couple of gift certificates for free ice cream at Dairy Queen and a free kids meal at Texas Steakhouse. I'm so proud of her!!!

And, Dan, that article you posted is unbelievable!! It's amazing that people can have stuff like that growing in their bodies and not know it. How scary!!!

Anyway, hope everyone has a great night!!

Angie

Nicole -- You are so sweet. Thank you! I'm very proud of myself too. I had more or less expected myself to give up on this at some point, and I just can't believe the great results I've been having. It really works, and kind words from people like you really help to keep me on track.

Jenn -- WTG! 3.4 lbs is awesome! It's so nice when POP pays off like that.

Joni -- Thank you too! I second your recommendation for pet insurance. My little furry guy almost died when he was 12 weeks old, and I was lucky enough that it only cost me $600 (only...lol), so the next day I bought pet insurance. Of course, he's been healthy for the 5 yrs since, but insurance is there for when you really need it. I just love that I won't have to make the really hard decisions until we reach the policy limit.

Wendy -- Yay for your ODD!! She must be a hard working student, you have every right to be proud. Have fun working from home today, sounds cozy.

Welcome Colleen and JLem!

Colleen, You know we're crazy, and We know your sister is nuts, so you have a lot to live up to! No pressure....

Jenn - GREAT loss! you are back with a vengeance!

Wendy II - gotta love family invented words!

Joni - I don't have pet insurance, and thankfully Dodger has been pretty healthy all these years, but I would seriously think about it now. Still thinking about Charlie for you!

Jason - well, now that's different, are you asking us to hope that you gain weight at the COD? I'm not sure we are capable of that!

Dan - HOLY CRAP! ... Makes me want to run to the doctor!

Not much going on here, busy at work, can't look at a sclae... nothing to report. Have a great day losers!

Well I am finally at a loss. I am down almost 2 lbs from Tuesdays WI. I think switching to the gold plan may be working for me. My next WI is Saturday so I hope the down ward trend continues. I may not make it to the 10lb goal for VD, but I am sure as **** going to try.

Have a great POP day everyone.
