I hope you all had a great weekend. I did....except for WL wise. I got to hang out with friends in what seems like forever. Jello shots and drunken Family Feud matches galore. LOL I probably gained but hell I don't care. I usually work weekends and I haven't had Nikki, Kittie, and Sunshine all together at once in a long time. So no regrets. I'm just going to keep my butt even more at the gym this week.

I really don't like liquor but when I do 'drink' it's either jello shots or screwdrivers or mixed with diet coke. Randee, I hope you are able to post more. I know how busy life can get. :)

Hey! I love Halloween sooooo much! Last year I saw this insanely cute and sexy little red riding hood costume but I was too self conscious to buy it. This will be the year! My overall goal is 115 and its August so surely by Halloween I can hit 120 right? I'm all over this challenge. Good luck y'all! Mucho *hugs*

Ooo I'll try a challenge. I'm soooo determined to lose some weight. I was really sick with the flu, and I lost about 10 lbs. Soooo I may as well go with it, and use that as a launching board.

I'm going to try to lose 10 lbs by Hallowe'en. I'm just starting back at the gym, so this is my motivation to go even more!

Hmmmm now to pick out my costume!!

Rosario
08-15-2006, 10:07 AM
SO let's talk costumes!!! (hey gals, I love halloween and dressing up)

My all time dream costume that I have wanted is to be Jessica Rabbit from WHo Framed Roger Rabbit? I'm sure you all know who she is, so I have a long way to go.

What do you gals want to be for Halloween??

08-15-2006, 10:15 AM

OHHH Jessica Rabbit! I LOVED that movie when I was a kid. I had all these dorky shirts that said "I was frrrrramed" LOL..good times..good times lol

I dont know what I wanna be..Im normally just a plain ol' witch. Buuuuut If Im looking hot..I might be something more seductive hehe...I dunno really. Ill have to check in with the costume shops and see whats hot this year. I did see this really hot looking vampiress outfit! My daughter was a vampire 2 years ago and she was the cutest thing, so maybe we could be twins this year! Of course, mine would be the more "seductive" one..not hers LOL

Welcome Feisty, Linds, and Nikki!

Go Emily Go Emily!

OMG I LOVE who framed Roger Rabbit! Ooooo, Ro, you're going to be a smokin hot Jessica!

I have NO idea what I wanna be yet. I haven't really put any thought into it. We have like two months. What I'm wondering is what parties will be thrown!

Okay so TOM came yesterday and with him, water weight. WI today was 248 but screw that, I'm not changing my ticker when I KNOW it's water weight.

OMG today was SO kickass! Here's the blog I wrote about it:

I DROVE all the way from downtown Birmingham to the Superwalmart in Bessemer and back BY MYSELF! HA! Booyah! See when I got off work today, I went to the parking garage to eat my lunch like I usually do. I had been planning on going to Walmart to get some stuff and I was getting ready to leave and get on the bus when my mama called me. She asked if I minded staying in downtown till 6 because she had her Toastmasters meeting at 5. So of course I said yes because I had no way to get home (I mean, the bus doesn't run through PG). She asked me what I was going to do for the next couple of hours and I told her that I was going to Walmart cause I can spends months up in Walmart. So she was like okay and we hung up. I was tired and since we weren't leaving until 6, that gave me plenty of time to catch a quick nap (in which I had the freakiest dream; that's in another blog). So I napped for like an hour and when I woke up, it was about to storm. I got the umbrella out the trunk and started to leave the parking deck when for some reason, I just thought 'I should drive.' I didn't even think about it, I just went back upstairs, started the car, and left. Boom. Didn't even think. I drove myself to Walmart, PARKED between TWO cars, did my shopping, backed out the parking lot without hitting anyone or thing, drove to my dad's house in Bessemer, drove to Rally's, went to the gas station and put gas in my mama's car, then went back to the parking deck. When I got back, it was like 5:48 and the parking deck was empty so I decided to practice backing into the parking space. I got it right after the second time. HELL YEAH! (BTW, I did all this in my mama's car but she doesnt know because she will TOTALLY kill me, so for those who know my mama, keep this on the down low, k?) I told my mama I did all this in Nikki's car and I'm going to try to get my license this week (she had already promised that I could use her car or the truck for that). So yeah, I'm on Cloud 9!

That gave me such confidence that I was grinning from ear to ear for the rest of the day and I called my friend Sunshine and told her YES, I will go clubbing with her on Saturday! I feel great, TOM be damned!

I am not a fan of this Pirates of the Caribbean movie at all. It is good, kinda good actually, but not great. Yet, I do like this Captain Jack Sparrow character. I like this jack guy, so while I don't think I'd dress like him cause I am saving my money this year, it would be interesting.

Hi Shari, I'm checking in for the challenge. {Thanks for the link} So I have 2 months huh, then I guess I'll make my goal to drop 15 lbs. by halloween. But I also have 3 more to lose for your other challenge, so 18 total. 9 pounds a month for the next 2 months. I better make this goal, there's really no good reason why I can't, so I'm gonna give it my best shot. Good luck to everyone.

Good job on all the losing going on here! We will make it to our Halloween goal!! My prob is the whole "not eating till your going to burst" thing. Last week wasent so good to me..but...I managed to lose 2 lbs FINALLY!!! I ate fast food almost every day and still lost weight, but I did eat within my points...im still in shock!!! Well..I did have ALOT of fruit and veggies, so maybe that helped lol.
The more I say, no more fast food, the more I want it...does anyone else think like that, or is just me? AHHHH

Make good choices!!!!

mkat321
08-23-2006, 04:46 PM
Well the scale says I'm down 3 lbs but I kind of doubt it. I did find out the hard way last night that my body will not tolerate McD's french fries anymore. Euyuck. That is probably where the loss came from so I'm not putting it in my tracker since it'll come right back now that my digestive system isn't having fits...

Nikki128
08-23-2006, 05:36 PM

Shari,
Mae West is a famous star from I think the 50's. She was very curvy and blonde...you should google her. She was very sexy for her time....have you ever heard the saying "Come up and see me sometime." or "When I am bad, I am very very bad but when I am good I am better"? You are a youngster I realize...lol. Had a great walk with my daughter and puppy...off to shower and bed now. Have a great evening girlies. Leslie

Leslie ~ I've heard 'Come up and see me sometime'. I googled and Mae was a 1930s actress. Marilyn Monroe is my blonde bombshell. :)

Niecey, scarf all you want but try to make it healthy. You know, like Nikki and the grapes.

Today had it's depressing moments ( nothing in walmart fit; I couldn't back into a parking space even though I've done it before; my mama took the car keys away; I just felt like a all around failure) but I did try something new: YOGA! Wow! Paaaiiinnnffullll! LMAO! But I'm going back next week. I'm not giving up.

dgpebbles
08-25-2006, 11:09 AM
Shari - I found you...I know what you mean about nothing fits...but if it makes you fell better I've lost almost 45 lbs, went from a size 16 to a 10 and I still can't find anything to fit...but know I can find size 16 everywhere...lol

My goal for this challenge is to make it to my overall goal of 140,,thats about a 13lb loss..I think I can do it and then I think I'm also going to lower my overall goal to 130 instead...I dodn't think that 140 is where I want to be...I still have too much stomach, hips and butt to lose..

I'm back! Life sometimes! :( Oh well. I learned something weird while I was 'away'. A friend who is a nutritionist had me write everything that touched my tongue down for three days. She went over it and flipped out big time. Said the reason I'm not losing weight isn't as much a matter of how much I eat, as it is what I eat and get this how little I eat She said that my body is actually in semi-starvation mode because I don't eat that much and when I do it's the wrong food for the most part. She said that if I start eating regularly, eating healthy foods at regular intervals, I should see a signifcant loss. I am working on it and according to the scale have dropped 2 lbs 4 oz in 5 days. I'm by no means doing perfectly or even well at it. Especially the 'right foods' part. But I'm eating breakfast now, even if it is just an activa or a bowl of rice krispie knock-offs with 2% milk. And I eat lunch about two hours later, which has actually staved off most of my cravings. Still working on the wholesome dinner thing though...

Lots of catching up to do!

I met my Labor Day goal, now I have to focus on Halloween goal. I'm gonna try to get down to 185, that's 13 lbs. If I reach that, it would be awesome, that would be less than I was when I got married 13 years ago!

Hi everybody, just checking in to say hello and to post my weight (218...ugh!) which I plan to do on Mondays. So here goes...I'm hoping this will help me stay motivated; motivation and stress eating are my biggest issues, followed very closely by not near enough exercise! On the bright side, the hubby just left for Costco and asked on his way out the door if there was anything I'd like for him to pick up. He mentioned taquitos, salsa (which automatically means there would be chips involved).....and I said....drum roll, please....how about some fruit, like maybe some APPLES? Maybe I should weigh right before he asks that question more often!! :D

Hi ladies,
I am rediscovering my love for working out :cheer:. My next goal is to up my water intake. I am barely getting 32oz a day. :(
I had a huge NSV Friday that is motivating the heck out of me. I had 2 pair of jeans in my closet, with the tags still on, that I bought on sale last summer. I knew I couldn't fit them when I bought them but they were sooooo freakin' cute. Anyway... out of curiosity I decided to try them on and they fit :carrot:

WI for today is 242.5, which made me 5 lbs short of my Labor Day goal. Oh well. It was expected since I haven't been to the gym for almost two weeks and my eating was iffy last week. My little brother has been in the hospital for the last couple of days...just an asthma attack, one that was expected since he's playing football now. I spent the night last night and I'm staying tonight too. We're hoping he can go home tomorrow. My mama's car broke down while I was on my way to get my driver's license so everything's a mass of confusion for the family now. Half of us are at the hospital and the other half is at home. Mama's taking the car to the shop tomorrow and hopefully we'll have it fixed by this weekend. We SO need it because Mama leaves for her supervisor conference next Monday and I need the car to get to work since my stepfather works at night and gets home AFTER I have to be at work. So yeah, chaos! My mama is going to be gone for a whole week and I seriously doubt we will survive. We barely made it when she left on business a couple of months ago and she was only gone for TWO DAYS! We're pathetic. Anyway, as soon as the car's fixed and my brother is out of the hospital, my world will return to it's normal crazyness. Talk to you all later! *MWAH*

Starting back with my workouts and watching my portions as of today!

I just ordered a dress for a wedding I'll be attending the second week in October and I need to lose 2 sizes so I can get into that baby! So for the next six weeks I'll be working hard at keeping my food intake in check.

Monica you look incredible!

No loss for me this week. :( AF was in town wednesday thru today, so I actually *gained* four pounds in 24 hours and held it the whole time despite upping my water intake and activity levels. She's on her way out today, and DH and I have a b-ball game set for tomorrow a.m. that should burn some serious calories. :) He agreed to join me on *my* halloween challenge goal of 10 lbs after I broke down in tears this morning and he finally got it that I am scared for his health and have justified reason to be. He has a 3-day national guard drill this weekend so that will definitely kick start things for him, as there is something of a difference between my cooking and MREs {field training the whole weekend!} Hopefully the PT test will serve as a bit of an official wake up call as well. I hate to be negative, but there is no way he's going to pass it. he's not exercising at all, and the last time he went for a run was at his last required drill, which was three months ago. That run was *only* six miles on surface streets/sidewalks and it kicked his behind. This time the runs are going to be of the 10 miles of nature variety, with full field gear.

Hi, I hope it's not too late to join you all. You all seem rather friendly :) So my goal is to be at 192 for Halloween. Hi everyone, Shari. Congrats on getting your license Shari, you're a free woman now! lol
Sorry I've been out of the loop, not been doing to good with my food choices and exercise habit. I'm toward the end of my period and stressed beyond belief with life in general. I know it could be worse, so I'm not complaining, just venting. Anyhoo, I've gained about 7 ugly pounds(maybe some of it is water weight, who knows). So, I'm starting over again. Its like that number 199 and me are mortal enemies! So, I started my own challenge to do my ballet workout everyday. I've got six weeks to lose some more inches before hubby comes home and I'm hoping this challenge will help.
I hope everyone is doing well.

Oh almost forgot to mention that I experienced my first earth quake ever this morning! It happened in the Gulf of Mexico at aound 10:56am. It measured 6.0, but I guess because it was far from the coast(about 250 miles southwest of where I live) it didn't really cause any damage. The shaking(mild) lasted about...I don't know, maybe less than 10 seconds. It was so weird cause I was on my bed and I didn't know what it was at first. Then I heard my kids talking to each other, so I called them into my room to ask if they felt anything. My oldest daughter felt her bed shaking as well and the doors on her closets were rattling. She got up from her bed to go out to the livingroom and she felt the floor moving! My son felt the couch moving, it was wild! Anyway, that was my excitement for today. Be good you guys. :)

Hello all you losing ladies!!!

I have been missing in action for a few days, this was the wedding week-end so I spent all thursday and friday baking and decorating the wedding cake and Saturday was the wedding followed by Sunday luncheon and gift opening. Everything went well and all and all it was a great week-end and when I stepped on the scale this morning I hadn't lost but more importantly I haven't gained.

Unfortunately, I think I will have to pull out of this challenge as I found out yesterday I am pregnant!!!! Okay this is a really big surprise, we thought we were done and quite happy with the four we had but looks like number 5 is meant to be. I am excited but also a little scared, I so don't want to put on all the weight that I worked so hard to lose, I was finally feeling better about myself and here I go again.......ahhhhhhh. All will be good I am sure, will just have to keep the weight gain down to a minimum.

So ladies it has been quite a ride with you all and I wish you all the luck at reaching your goals, I know you all can do it. I will check in from time to time and see how you are all doing.

Eat healthy and like jelly always reminds us.....DRINK YOUR WATER!!! lol

Congrats on the baby Monica!

Sorry I've been gone a LONG time, but there was a few things that happened. 1st of all I went away to a conference for work and when I got back everything turned to crap.

Then the guy I was dating decided he didn't want to date me anymore and just stopped calling. Even though I know he's a jerk for dropping me without a warning, I still can't help but hope that he calls. Being a girl can suck sometimes. So I'm still dealing with that.

I had to fix my car 3x last/this week for about a grand worth of repairs. And me and my co-workers have been eating out a lot and I'm still very bloated and haven't lost any more weight. So I'm going to try to get as close to my birthday goal as possible. I hope things pick up.

Thank you all for the best wishes, I think I am still in shock by this suprise :D.
I have been a good momma so far, drinking my water (thanks jelly) and eating really healthy. Hopefully I can keep the weight gain to 20 pounds, I think I would be okay with that. Only time will tell, when those nasty cravings hit......... who knows.

Needless to say you guys are stuck with me for the duration of this challenge and who knows I might follow you to the next.........hope you don't mind a stocker

Chicky, that just sucks, men can be more trouble than they are worth, he obviously isn't worth your time.

Jannelle, glad to hear everything is okay with you. 6 more weeks till DH returns to a new women wow. How long has he been gone for?

Everyone else keep up the good work, eat healthy and have fun!!

Badonkadonk, I love that name! Welcome!

Monica, he's been over there since November of last year. He was home back in March for 2 weeks r&r. :)

Jelly, how long have you been at Ft. Hood? Do you like it there? Right now, my husband is an active reservist. He used to be regular Army. And as long he stays a reservist, they can't send him back for as least another 24 months(or so we've been told).

:cheer: Congratulations Monica! (Damn, we really need a Congrats smilie on here!) Baby #5 wow! You know, maybe if you take up yoga and do some light walking (along with drinking enough water of course ;) ) the weight gain won't be that bad. Either way, don't deprive yourself or the baby. If you want those pickles and ice cream, have them! *slaps self* Why am I telling you this? You're already a mama four times over! Sorry, habit. LOL I hope you do drop in and tell us what's going on with you every once in a while. I'm so happy for you! :carrot: :goodluck:

Chicky, men are stupid. Stupid stupid! And insensitive! You are better off without him. His loss!

WI today was 244.4 Damn TOM and damn me. I really need to learn how to better control my cravings when he's around. My supervisor seriously pissed me off today and I was craving so....I went to the gym and tore it up! By the time I was done, my legs was trembling and I couldn't walk straight for a few moments. Feel better though.

Hello Ladies,

Well the scale is still moving VERY slowly in the direction I want, today I was down .4 of a pound. I hope that tomorrow I might see 163.something. They say you can lose weight in the first tri-mester, so the first 3months I am definitely looking not to gain a thing but lose a few. We will see, I won't be unhealthy thats for sure!!

Janelle, WOW they have keep you away from DH for soooooo long, that must be so hard on both of you. 6 weeks isn't that much longer now!!

Shari, WTG, that's they way to deal with those cravings!! Kill'em with exercise, lol, just try not to kill youself in the process, lol!! Great work :D

Good luck everyone, keep making smart food choices!!

hello! ^-^ may i join you all?

I've gained 40 pounds over the last 2 years :( and would love to lose it -_-;;

I'm trying to get a handle on eating healthy again and also getting some regular exercise in.

In the past I weighed approx 290 pounds, and managed to drop back to 120.. it took a few years @-@;; just went at it nice and slow... and I managed to maintain for a few years.. but now here I am... back where I swore I would never ever be again. It's a lil' heart breaking for me and I feel like screaming and giving up :/

but I really need this -_-;; for me and my health.. but I can't do it alone ; ;

In the past, 3FC really helped me maintain my sanity.. and its such an inspiration to be part of a team and work with one another towards a goal ^-^;;

Thanks for listening to me ramble xD I had a rough morning... found out the scale I was using was broken -.-;; so I went from believing i'm 150 to realizing I'm actually 160 ..... I can almost laugh about that xD too bad it wasn't the other way around :O

hehe~ anyways its nice to meet you all! Cant wait to be able to post my first pound lost! :D

Oh yah and for a goal... I think 10 pounds lost by halloween will be doable.. just need to get my booty movin' an' maybe take the dog out for a much needed walk :)

Ttyl! :D

I FOUND THAT IT'S WHAT MY BODY NEEDS TO LOSE WEIGHT. AFTER MY SON I TRIED SOUTH BEACH AND WAS ALWAYS HUNGRY WAITING FOR THE NEXT MEAL. AT MY GYM THERE IS THIS PROGRAM CALLED APEX AND IT'S GREAT!!! I EAT EVERY TWO HOURS AND I DO HAVE CARBS BUT THEY ARE LIMITED TO CARBS THAT WILL BENEFIT MY WEIGHTLOSS.
ALL IN ALL I LOST74 IN THIS PLAN.:twirly:

doing alright here. back down to 193 after AF and a bout of stress eating right after that. My jaw is hurting due to a sinus infection that spread to my ear and molars :( so I'm having to push myself to eat even more than I was before {I don't eat the mininum calories to survive most days unless I push myself, thus my body is in near-constant starvation mode :(} DVD remote died the today, the same day I was starting my new workout DVD so I am having to wait for hubby to dig my spare DVD player & remote out of our storage room either after work in the a.m. or when we get up for the day tomorrow. :(

WRT calorie bases, has anyone actually used Slim Fast or similar to boost their calorie count? I have no problem drinking liquids, if I put something to drink within arm's reach I usually finish it pretty quickly, I just lack the motivation to actually cook since 3/4 of the day I'd be the only one eating. {Dh sleeps til noon and goes to work @ 2:30, older kids are in school til 3:10 and eat breakfast and lunch at school, baby is a grazer and nibbles on things periodically, but again, doesn't get up til almost noon and is asleep a good chunk of the afternoon as well}

wow -_-;; day 1 was pretty tough for me @-@;; I did manage to eat 1200 calories.. that was pretty tough for me.. I'm used to a lot of volume.. since I've been unrestrained in my eating lately..

I tried to fill up on a lot of veggies and dont count the calories in it.. since its good for me @-@ and I'm trying to get back into the habit of having it incorporated into my diet.

Umm... went out to hardees tonight too! I went for a charbroiled chicken club with no mayo and no bacon and no fries! It was hard to pass up on those BUT i feel sooooooooo satisfied w/ that decision as I sit here and chat with you all. :) 450cals of damage.. that could have been so much worse xD

Tommorow I'll try to start exercising :o I'm pretty excited with trying to lose this weight.. especially since I've been so hard on myself about it for the past few months ~

Chat w/ you all later :D

Jelly, I started Atkins around mid June this year. Have lost 31 pounds. The great thing about it is that I don't really get hungry. The protein and vegs keep you satisfied. The first three days are a little tough because you are getting the carbs out of your system. Some have said to expect a headache during that time, but I don't remember that happening to me. It's pretty awesome because once you get the carbs out of your systmem, you no longer crave them...at all! Please understand that I'm talking about the "bad" carbs such as sugary treats, breads, pastas, rice, pastries, etc. You still get plenty of carbs in your vegs. Seriously, once you've eaten some "bad" carbs, you really feel sluggish and icky after. My suggestion would be to get Dr. Atkins' book "The New Revolution". It's in paperback for around $8. Read it front to back because it gives you a good understanding of how your body processes the carbs. After that, you will actually find it difficult to allow yourself to eat the "bad" carbs because you know what they will do to ya. Hey, good luck! BaDONKa.:dizzy:

Well I was going to do this on Monday, but I got sidetracked with work and starting a new class (working on my accounting degree). But anyway, the good news is down 3 pounds. The bad news is I'm not getting enough exercise, so I'll work on bumping that up this next week.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week!

P.S. Do we have to go to Ticker Factory each time we want to update that tracker? I seem to be having challenges with that one, but the 3fatchicks one updated okay...

Badonka, thank you for the paper back recommendation! My BF would like to begin focusing on his weight.. he has close to 80 pounds that he needs to lose ; ; I worry about him @-@ He's such a finicky eater, but I think he would enjoy Atkins.. I'm going to go out and get the book for him :D

He's addicted to fast food, and its been such a challenge to help him (us) cut it out from our diet. I hope this helps ^-^ He'll have something to focus on and be informed on food choices :D

How is everyone doing today?? I went out for a run yesterday ^-^ Did exactly 1 mile @-@ and that was more than enough for me. My neck hurts today -.-;; so i think I may have slept on it wrong after passing out from that run xD

Lucky! Congrats on your 3 pound loss!!! I cant wait to see the needle on my scale move :D

The last three days have been happy mixed with pissed offness (so not a word!) but oddly, I'm still happy! Wednesday, one of my jackass supervisors, Mitchell, told me that I had 28 days to make 'performance standards' or I was going to be fired. For whatever reason, I wasn't concerned, I just really wanted a Diet Lipton Citrus Green Tea BADLY. When I went on break, I went down to the canteen and was blown away when I saw not only did they have my tea but it was COLD! Two miracles! 99.9% of the time, the canteen only have the regular citrus green tea and on the rare occasions when they do have the diet, it's always warm! I don't know why, but that made me SO happy (I mean really really REALLY happy!) and I was smiling for the rest of the day. I don't remember much about work yesterday but I know it was a good day because Mrs. Ramsey, the only nice supervisor I have, was on duty. She did give me some bad news though: she switching to night shift Oct 1! Crap! Weird thing is, she didn't know anything about me possibly getting fired which makes me think Mitchell may be full of crap. Anyway, last night was my little brother's first football game, so I let my little sister drive my mama's car to the game. They got back home and I left around 9:30 pm to go to the Supercenter to get a perm cause I REALLY need one and I was going to have one of my co workers put it in today. As I was about to round a curve on this road, I went to push my brakes to slow down a bit, and the damn car SPEED UP! I had my foot completely off the gas pedal and was pushing the brake and the car continue to speed up. I was freakin, so I pulled into this parking lot off the side of the road. I tried to brake so I could stop the car and park but it wouldn't stop so I had to cut the car off while the engine was still running. I thought the car was going to explode or something! I called my best friend and she came over to my part of town with her boyfriend and they looked at my car. The brake fluid was fine but when my friend looked at the pedal, she told me that it was broken!:yikes: I started crying. I was so scared I had broken my mama's car! We stood outside, trying to think what to do. Her car couldn't tow my mama's car and it was like 11 at night and we had no money so no tow truck. Finally we came up with this lie to tell my mama and stepfather. We pushed the car over into a parking space, taped a note inside the window saying that the car had broken down and we would be back just in case the cops or someone came by and was going to tow it, and they drove me home. Then early this morning, they came and picked me up again to take me to work. We went to the car and wiped off all the dew and stuff so it looked like I had just left it (I even put my standard empty oatmeal bowl in there as proof!), took the sign down, and left again. After we left, I called my stepfather and told him the car messed up on me on my way to work and called my mama and left a message saying the same thing. My stepfather doesn't get off till 6:30 in the morning so he went by there and looked at the car. He came and picked me up when I got off work and told me that there was NOTHING wrong with the car!!! He said he had looked at the car and DROVE it home and it didn't do anything out of the ordinary! Not only that, when he got home, he let my sister drive it to school and she never called back to say that anything was wrong with the car! OMG, I feel like I'm going crazy! :dizzy: I'm so happy that my mama's car isn't broken but I'm like what the ****? Even with all that happening, I'm still happy and it's kinda freakin me out. I don't know. I guess I'm used to being depressed most of the time. Dietwise, I've been doing good. Today after he picked me up from work, my stepdad took me to Burger King. We went in and I looked at the menu, then turned to my stepfather and said I wasn't getting anything! I was thinking a grilled chicken sandwich with no mayo but I don't know how many points that would be so I just said no. I went right back outside and sat in the truck until my stepfather was done. OMG I said no to fast food, food I wouldn't even have to pay for! :faint: what's wrong with me? I must have entered the Twilight Zone! *theme song plays* :twirly: My smile is super big now because my mama will be home in a couple of hours!!! I haven't seen her since Monday. I missed her so. I'm SUCH a mama's girl and damn proud! Okay, okay I'm going to stop my ramblings. I'm sleepy so I'm going to go take a lil nap before my mama gets home. I'll be back on later on tonight. :grouphug: Good vibes for all! :goodvibes

SO I would have to litterally stand up from the seat and step on the brake. It was beyond scary. And as soon as i would start the car there it went right back up to 40. SO , took it in the next day and the wires need to be reset. Wierd.

hi ladies THANKS for the welcome. I missed you guys

Jelly- YAY we can do this.

Hi there Jannelle.....how have you been

Shari- OMG My car does the same crap to me. I will tell dh something is wrong with the car and he will blow me off like yeah RIGHT......sooner or later he figures it out that I was right. This summer he was away with his job and my father in law was doing his best to take care of the car. I kept telling both of them something was wrong with the car and neither of them would believe me so I was like fine nothing is wrong I'm out of my mind...took the car to a walmart in another town because i was bored ... Broke down in the parking lot....got yelled out for driving the car that far by my father in law who had said earlier the car was fine....was a lose lose but I got a lot of I told you something was wrong with the stupid car's in ;) Oh which reminds me My husband would always yell at me for leaving the back window open when I THOUGHT for sure they were always rolled up before I shut off the car...so I blamed the kids thinking they must have pushed one of the buttons on the way out of the car and I missed it...well I couple days ago I tried to roll down that window that always got me in trouble and it wouldn't work it would try and go up but wouldn't come down. Then that night when my husband was making sure everything was locked hes so anal about stuff like that ...the following morning the window was DOWN so it was down all night and anal man checked himself and everything was up....so I guess I'm not as careless as he tries to say I am ..the wiring is messed up and it will roll down after the botton is pushed so when the kids would hit it on the way out it will roll down even when the car is off. So NAH I'm not out of my mind and I better not hear nothing is wrong with the car when I know there is:lol: Dh will be doing some fixing this weekend I really hope he fixes I really need to get out of this town arggggg

Hey Chicks!

What up!

Myown- CONGRATULATIONS on the new addition. That is wonderful.

Badonkadonk- I did a lower carb, South Beach Diet. I did really well for 2 months, I lost 20 lbs then hit a huge plateu...I didn't lose for 3 months in a row.... I finally said F*** it and started WW which I love, I don't feel restricted at all. If I want something I can eat it, I just adjust points wise for the rest of the day! I am gald Adkins is working so well for you :carrot:

Rosario- YEAH, I love vacation. Have fun. Get rest, eat well, and get in some exersice...

Shari- That is crazy about your Momma's car! I am glad you were ok. I am also glad nothing was wrong with your mom's car. I believe a cheeseburger at Burger King is 8 points. I don't have my dining out guide right now, but I can double check later... I can eat so much for 8 points that a cheeseburger isn't worth it to me. I would go to Subway and get a six inche sub for 5 points. :carrot: That is cool you were able to resist. (I think the grilled chicken sandwhich is more than a cheeseburger)

I have been on plan. Yeah, I am trying to incorporate exersice as I don't really do it except take my dogs on very short walks to go potty.

My WI is tomorrow I can wait.... :p

I will post an updated weight tomorrow...

Check ya later

Someone please help knock some sense into me D: I've been so bad these past 2-3 days. It keeps getting worse and worse. I've had fast food regularly now for 1/2 the week :| I'm trying to put a mental block in my head to not do that today..... but tonight I'm supposed to be going out with my boyfriend, his boss and boss's wife.. they want to go to a chinese buffet -_-;;

All I can think about is how I've had a triple whopper with fries >.>;; and how I've totally reversed any loss I may have had.. What kind of upsets me
is thatI finally get a call for a possible job interview... and I was so excited.. so I **treated?** myself to BK's :/

Guess I need to work on my food mentality.. Any suggestions for tonight? I really do not want to overdo it.... but they are going to have all my favorite foods at this buffet... they have korean, japanese, chinese, mongolian, thai and vietnamese cuisine... a lot that they cook right there for you -_-;;

I think the best I might be able to do... and my goal for this evening will be to try and learn to exercise moderation >.>;; I'll eat what I want but keep it limited to normal portions and not overdo it :/

I'm glad today I do not want fast food, just mad at myself.. too bad I cant get out of this buffet thing.. but hey.. life isn't all about dieting >.>;; and I should enjoy the company of friends.. ^-^

Thanks for listening to me rant! What do some of you do when you get into a plunge where you just kind of "forget" eating properly and do what you want?? I fell into old habits this week and couldn't really stop.. I should have come here xD but at that moment.. I just didn't care :/

Any tips? Advice? :D

Thanks for the luv everyone!

Bekko, I don't really have any advice for that. Most of the time, I just take a good, hard look in the mirror or a window, whatever casts my reflection. I remind myself that I DO NOT want to remain the way I am and that chocolate WILL NOT help me AT ALL! Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. As for the buffet, have fun! It's not like you go to a buffet all the time.

Ahhh man, I went to Walmart with my mama and lil sister and bro about an hour ago. On the way home, we stopped by the Chevron in my neighborhood and wouldn't you know the only other customer in the place was a guy I used to have a crush on? He's a real sweetie, really cute, and I used to talk to him everyday when I worked at Hills (neighborhood grocery store). He was friends with this guy who worked there too who was such a jerk. He used to come up to Hills almost everyday and he would talk to be and didn't mind giving me hugs which I LOVED of course! Well I haven't seen him since I left Hills over a year ago so I didn't approach him. I was standing outside, waiting on my brother to come out when I saw him walking out the door. I was planning on going over and saying hi until I saw that he wasn't alone....he was holding hands with a gorgeous, TINY blonde! *sighs* That was a damper. I realize that me and that girl are about the same height....but I'm like three times bigger than her! I always feel like such a whale....a manly whale. Sometimes I feel like I should have been born a boy because I feel so unfeminine. It's weird, I know. Even if I was a boy, I would STILL be an outsider. I can never win. :(

Shari, I know this is way easier said than done, but it can be done...and that is-try not to compare yourself to others. At 32 years young I'm still learning how to do this. I've heard it said that there will always be someone who is better than you in some way shape or form, and you will always be better than someone else. Beauty(inner and outer) really is in the eye of the beholder. Unfortunately, we live in a society which reeks havoc on the self esteem of many girls and women, myself included. It can start, as frightening as it is, in children as young as 5 and 6. Don't get me wrong, I can totally relate to how much of a bumper it must have been to see this guy with another girl who you thought was gorgeous, but I hope you will not let it be something to keep getting you down and lose sleep over. Instead, try and focus on the things that make you a gorgeous and beautiful young womanly woman. And don't you dare say out loud or to yourself that there is nothing, because you are beautiful! Ask me how I know? My intuition and wisdom that comes from being an ole lady. LOL But seriously, you don't have to be ancient to have wisdom, its all about the soul. Keep your head up young lovely, you have many years ahead of you to discover how great you are. =)

Ok ladies, I'm back to post how I'm doing so far. This morning I weighed in at 206, so I'm down 3.6 lbs. from last sunday. I've also lost exactly 1/2 inch from my waist, hips and thighs (1.5 inches total). I was aiming for a whole inch from each area, but I know some loss is better than none. I've been working hard and eating right, so I guess its paying off. Started doing ballet workouts last week and I really love them, they've worked all the major muscles and helped me gain strength and increased my flexibility(and its only been 1 week). I'm trying out this new workout to strengthen as an alternative to classic weight training because the squats and lunges that I loved to do for my legs and glutes were really hurting my knees. But I have found with the ballet workouts that my knees are becoming pain free and feeling stronger even, so I'll be sticking with it as long as I can. My posture has improved noticeablely and I'm walking a little taller due to all the core work.
I'm gonna try and do a ballet workout everyday this week(did only 4 last week)and see if that makes any more of a difference in inches lost. I'll be back to report any results next sunday. Forgot to mention that for my cardio I mostly dance: latin/salsa, bellydance, even hip hop once in a while. I sometimes kickbox if I'm feeling especially pumped up, haven't done that in a few weeks though. Hope everyone has an awesome week, I'll try and check in during the week. Blessings

woohoo lost half a pound:carrot: it's not much but it's something...haven't been trying to hard so I will take it.

Way to go Jannelle on the dancing. Anyway you can burn is great plus you have fun. You are sooo close to ONEderland:D

Shri- Chin up girl. We all have feelings like that but you will find the older you get the easier it is to think past all those feelings. Have fun with your friends and enjoy being young and single. Believe it or not you will think back to those times as the good old years  I'm 28 and grew up pretty fast getting pregnant and married at 16 wouldn't change any of it though.

:( i was "oinked" at today at the mall... feeling a little down :/ BF likes to go out to eat A LOT.. so its pretty hard on me trying to diet an' all .. I was pretty resistant to going out but ended up going w/ him to eat at tony roma's as a treat (he wanted to treat me).. and afterwards as I was headed to the restroom, some girls -_-;; decided to "share" their opinion of me..

He doesn't know about the incident.. but I've been in a pretty bad mood :( couldn't shake it off..

anyways >-< tommorow is the start of a new week~ I feel a lil' better venting @-@

Thanks for listening xD

Bekko - Are you sure it was directed at you? I know you want to lose weight, but 160 is not big at all. And if you're a pig than i'm a cow. And i'm sorry, but i refuse to think of myself or anyone else as a cow. Some girls just do that out of jealousy or insecurity. Try to think of them as the only two biaches in the world who think that way, because I assure you, the rest of the world does not think of you that way.

yah :/ we were the only ones in the restroom at the time... but thanks Chicky.. I look heavier than I am.. I think due to the large amount of weight I have lost. I've yo-yo'd unfortunetly from that time, and have such a large percentage of fat to muscle ratio.. 160 on a short asian girl is a lot :/ too bad I didn't maintain an asian diet xD but guess the pizza and burgers call to me a lil' too often. On a positive note tho.. I did lose close to 200 pounds -_-;; So I refuse to let yesterday bother me! Rawr! o-o

Hey Lorra, I think I missed some posts, please forgive me for not responding. Don't know which end is up sometimes. =) Your encouragement is heart felt and uplifting! You have a beautiful spirit. And every little lose helps, trust me I know, so as long as you keep it going in the right direction, its all good. And if you ever miss up, as we humans tend to do sometimes, chalk it up as a necessary imperfection that helps make you stronger, wiser and better! much love* Jannelle

Hello ladies!!!

I am still here and still pregnant ;) . I am 6 weeks today and it just about kills me that I have to put this whole weight loss on hold for 8 months :fr: you guys will all be at your goals by the time I can start again :( .

So far so good, I haven't gained anything yet and considering I quit smoking too I am pretty proud of myself. Last time I quit smoking I piled on the weight.

Shari, yahhh to getting back down to the weight you were 6 weeks ago!!! Now you can work on new pounds, good for you :)

I hope everyone is doing great and eating healthy!!

This is totally off subject, but I just wanted share because I'm so excited and happy and nervous and did I say excited? Today, I was offered a job working at an elementary school as a Teacher Aide for pre-k exceptional students(special needs). In the past 2 weeks I interviewed for 3 jobs at 3 different schools, and this is the one I really wanted. So needless to say, when the teacher called today to offer me the job, I accepted without hesitation. I'm nervous because I've been a stay at home mom for the past 10 and 1/2 years, so its a little scary for me, going back into the work force and all. I'm happy and excited because I love working with children, especially the little guys. It is my dream to someday be a kindergarten teacher, so this will be an awesome experience for me. I also recently enrolled in an early childhood education associate program where I pace myself and learn at home on my own schedule. I know I'll need to have at the very least a bachelors degree in order to teach, but I gotta start somewhere, so I figure working toward an associates is somewhere. Anyways, that's my little bit of exciting news, at least for me. =)

Hey everyone, I'm just checkin in with my weight. I weighed in at 202.4 yesterday, so that's another 3.6 lbs gone, same as last week. Go figure. I didn't even do 1 ballet workout this past week due to lack of time and energy. But I did pretty well with my eating. Now if I could just coordinate good diet and exercise all in the same week that'd be awesome! lol We'll see what happens this week. You guys have been very quiet this weekend, hope all is well. Be good. Jannelle

Ivy ~ YAY for power walking! :)

Today was weigh in and also the day I rejoined WW meetings. Man, I was happy to be back. I missed meetings SO much. Anyway, I shocked the hell out of myself this morning when I stepped on the scale and it read 241.2 (a loss of 1.4 lbs from last week)! I haven't been 241 since...well I don't know. I can't remember! I was just complaining last week that I don't remember even being under 242 in recent history and BAM! I guess the scale just got tired of my *****in! LMAO! So I went to the WW meeting this afternoon and weighed in at....241.8. Seeing that 241 still shook me. Lord knows how I'm going to react when I get in the 230s, 220s, 210s, ONEderland!, etc! Anywho, I've decided that I'm going to go by my own morning weigh ins simply because that's how I started out on here. I also decided to change my Halloween goal to 223.2 which is my own 10%. My original goal was 222 so it's not that big of a difference. My official WW 10% is 217.6 and I might make that my Thanksgiving goal, I haven't decided yet. Let's get past this Halloween goal first. LOL

Hi ladies,
How is everyone? Tom decided to come and burst my weight loss bubble ...was down 5 pounds until tom crashed my party. Not letting it get me down though already down from yesterday so I should be sending those pounds packing with TOM. DD broke her elbow last weekend :( has been a stressful week. She had to have surgery tuesday and is doing better. Now comes the healing.

Ivy ~ I'm just a big girl who's out of shape and not very flexible! And, I don't think I was doing it very well. My glasses kept slipping off and my boobs kept hitting me in the face! So I was distracted. Congrats on the loss! I don't watch the Biggest Loser so I didn't join the challenge.

Hi MoMo! Don't let the gain get you down! Just think of it as your little baby growing instead of just plain, old fat.
