View Full Version : How often do you all weigh yourselves? fitchick2be 12-13-2005, 12:48 AM Hi. I'm new here. Just wondered how often you ladies weigh yourselves. jetskin41 12-13-2005, 01:05 AM I just started also and I am weighing myself once a week. preferably Mondays Blondee51 12-13-2005, 09:52 AM Good morning ladies! I'm "new" too, tho I registered back in October of 2004! About the time my computer took a nose dive! I didn't "remember" registering and am so glad to finally be IN! I weigh in on Sunday as that's the start of the week and it works great for me, as all my charts are done up Sun-Sat. crk05 12-13-2005, 01:25 PM I weigh in every Saturday morning. I figured if I did it any more than that, the natural fluctuations in my weight from day to day would stress me out! fitchick2be 12-13-2005, 03:02 PM I love your blinkie about being married to your best friend! How cute! Did you make it? Does anyone know why I'm not getting notified that I have replies on my thread? GonnaLooseitagain 12-13-2005, 03:20 PM I weight in 2 times per day...BUT during the first 5 weeks I weighed in only 1 time per week. But then AFTER the 5 week initial period of dieting I started weighing 2 times per day...once in the morning, naked before getting dressed/eating. Then right before bath time, again naked. I like to be able to see what different foods do to my wieght. I can usually see a 1-2 lbs flucuation between morning and night weight. pbennis 12-13-2005, 03:42 PM I weigh in every morning - naked and after peeing!! :o PhysDom 12-13-2005, 03:55 PM I weigh each morning, as well, naked -- and after peeing. But I know that if I hopped on the scale later in the day, it could be a huge difference. I also track my weight in fitday.com each day and can see an overall trend -- so if I stay the same or gain a little I don't get too worked up at all. It's easy for me to not be a slave to the number. If it makes you edgy, I'd suggest a 1/week weigh-in. fitchick2be 12-13-2005, 07:03 PM I'm going to start eating better tomorrow, which will be six months until my 20th wedding anniversary. I want to lose weight for that (not down to goal but at least some). I was 215 when I got married, and now I'm 220. I was down to 183 five and a half years ago. So I'm going to weigh in tomorrow (12/14) and then on the first of the month and the fourteenth of the month. I think that'll work for me. Betty925 12-15-2005, 02:44 PM I weigh in anywhere from 1-2 times a day but I only record my weight once a week and that is on Monday which is my "official" weigh in day. I was weighing in on Friday but I have a tendency to overeat on the weekends so I changed my official weigh in day to Monday hoping that would curtail my heavy eating on the weekends. We'll see I guess. I also use www.sparkpeople.com. On there I can record my weight, exercise, etc. It helps me a lot and is fun to use. Hang in there. You CAN do this and we are here to help and encourage you. :flow2: fitchick2be 12-18-2005, 11:00 PM Oh, I've blown it so much lately!!! I get totally motivated, then a short while later, I'm stuffing myself! How to find motivation that sticks??? angeleyezx 12-19-2005, 05:11 AM every morning :( 2frustrated 12-19-2005, 05:40 AM I weigh in every 4 weeks, but this month I'm weighing every day, just to make me watch the calories over Christmas - so far this week it's been going down every day, but I'm sure it won't always be like that! alliesarang 12-27-2005, 05:48 AM I weigh in every morning - naked and after peeing!! :o haha. same. and that's the only one I'll let myself count. Otherwise it's depressing. keywestmommy 12-28-2005, 11:56 AM I weigh every Wednesday. I don't know why, I just picked that day and I weigh once a week to see how I am doing. SusanB 12-28-2005, 12:00 PM I'm with the everyday crowd. I get out of bed, void and strip :) I record on fitday.com if I maintain for a couple of days. fitchick2be 01-01-2006, 09:42 PM Fitday.com is great! I'll be using it again very soon. I signed up to do Discovery's Body Challenge online. It's free. Here's the link: http://health.discovery.com/ Click on "Body Challenge" for more info. It starts on Jan. 14th and goes for eight weeks. I'll probably be weighing in each week. I'm excited! vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
