A Servant's Prayer
Jesus, MY Jesus... How marvelous your ways...
Far more splendid than my mind can envision. What an
honor to be chosen by you. A lowly child I am, but empowered
by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the great hope to which you have
called me. I give myself totally to you, Lord. Take my imperfect
heart and make it perfect. Peel away the hardness. Close the doors
I have opened to the temptations of this world. Gently remove the
roots of painful memories, sins, doubts and fears. Discard anything
that separates me from you. Lord, fill the emptiness with the light of
your love that I might be a beacon calling the lost back to you.
To love as you love...
To serve as you serve...
To heal as you heal...
To forgive as you forgive...
always mindful of my nothingness while doing
great and marvelous things in you name and for
you glory. This I pray, Jesus, in YOUR name.
Amen

wilma12 09-27-2005, 10:03 AM It's another gorgeous fall morning. The leaves are starting to turn colour. We have a mountain ash in our back yard and it's a lovely orange/rust colour. I love the fall even though we know what comes after that.
I've been busy at work and things have been going well there. I am away on course Thurs and Friday so it'll be a bit of a break for me.
Gary: I printed off those salmon recipes. They look really good and I will try them. Sorry to hear about daughter's boyfriend's father. I'll be praying for him and his family.
Sunny!! It's so good to have you back. I've missed you! Keep posting!
DH is home from work today. He worked all weekend which is unusual so they've given him a couple of days off during the week. It's nice to have him home. Tonight he's going to barbeque chops for dinner. should be good!
Well, gotta go get ready for work. Have a super day!

Hello again everyone! :sunny:
I see that after my last post there has been a couple of newcomers...
*Welcome* Garybearsgirl/Michele...
It's been awhile since I last posted... I'm SunnyD aka Donna :) I too am married no children and have 3 furry kids... most anything you want to know about me is in my profile ;) Nice to meet you! :) I will be honored to keep you in my prayers for allowing the Lord to guide us with our eating habits... I could use yours as well. I struggle daily with weight, I have lost the 28 and gained back 5 and am not going to change that marker of mine at the bottom of my post, cuz I am determined to make it right again and then continue to drop. If I don't let the Lord in over my desires again the holiday's will gang up on me
Hi Gary!
Thank-you so very much for the PM... I have been going through a bit of a slump because my grandfather had a number of things go wrong within the last 2 1/2 weeks! He gave us all a scare! My mother has been so depressed (it's her father) and she never gets that way! She usually has very high spirits! It ws hard to hear her that way... but understandable!! He had a stroke, had fluid on his lungs and congestive heart failure... but I am glad to say the he has pulled through! He's 88 and is now in a nursing home where he is getting great care! He did not want to leave his home and with this last bout, he was forced to and is very happy to be there now :) When my aunt told him he could not go back home, he said... "that's okay... I like it here." What a relief to hear!! We were all so worried he'd put up a fuss like he did the last time we tried. Now he looks great! His cheeks are all pink again and he smiles... :)
We had a blast at the *Yankee Peddler Festival* thx! And the weather was perfect! We were there from noon till 7pm that day... so much fun - didn't buy much, just enjoyed the company of our friends and the shows and crafts. As for the colonoscopy... I am so glad I did not have to wait like you did!! OMGosh!! That would have been terrible for me. I also was ill with locked up AIR for 5 days after! It was up high and would not move! Finally after the 5th day I felt better!! No one tells you that it could take up to a week for that air they fill you with to all come out :dizzy: I had to call and find that out!! I was also told I won't have to have it done again for another 5 years - great news!! :D
Gary... I wondered how long it would take you two to realize that your world is in California!!! I bet that you have no problems selling that beautiful home in Wa.! I bet that you make back the $$$$$ you invested in your new home and then some!! It's beautiful! I am so sorry to hear of the disharmony between you, Angie and Lara... I will keep you in my prayers that you will be able to work this all out with love and understanding of one another... it's allot and I haven't a clue of what you are going through, but I can pray ;) I KNOW you will sell your home in WA. w/o any problems!!!! :D And you and Angie will be able to work things out - you love one another so much!! Don't let LIFE issues get in between you both, okay (((Gary  Angie)))
Ohhh... thx for the Salmon recipe again! I lost it and was going to ask you again and there it is :D It's such a great recipe!!!! Lasagna... yummmmmmmmmm :T I'll be right over! :hun:
Hi Wilma,
Thank-you so much... such a nice greeting this morning :)
Great Wedding pictures of you!!! And your Son and new Daughter-in-law! You looked great in that color!!! Just wish you were facing forward so I could have seen your beautiful face more ;) My, my, my have you slimmed down - you should be so very proud of yourself sweetheart!! You have done consistently well with your diet and with your new job!
Congrats on your sons NEW job at Staples!!! I do hope that he is still doing well there :) Joe & I shop there allot!! :D
Hi Rachel,
So good to see you posting again... hope all is going well in your new jobs and with school! *Congrats* on making the Dean's List :bravo: (((Rachel))) A teacher... what grade will you be teaching? My g/f's daughter is also studying to be a teacher... K-3 I believe...
Have you heard anything more about your grandparents sweetie??? I have heard that most are trying to venture back to their homes and cannot get back yet.
Hi Michele,
I am so glad to hear that MKay has stayed in touch with you and that she is doing well... will she be posting again here? I hope that all goes well with you and your move to CA.!!
I will keep your dear mother in my prayers (((Michele)))
Hi Klynntx/Karen,
How are your parents in TX?? Have you hard anything more?? I saw on the news that most are being denied access back to their homes and that they are taking boats to bypass the law in getting back to their homes... We had a huge rain come through here yesterday from H-Rita... a solid downpour from Sunday evening through the whole day yesterday.--- it was the kind of rain that lulls you to sleep, not at all like your family encountered. We have a beautiful day here today - very Fall!!! In the 60's, very crisp and clean and sunny :sunny:
What a great update!!! Sounds like your children are doing you quite proud!! As for your purse being stolen... I couldn't imagine!! I think I have way too much in mine too - someone takes my purse they take allot!! I will take your situation as fair warning!! I hope all will get straightened out soon! I luv Max Lucado... thx for the link!!!
Hi Teel!
Is that really you??!! Such good news!! :bb: Belated *Congrats* to Kristy & Andrew on their new baby boy!
How awesome that you found a new church!!! I am so proud of you for going :goodvibes You just sounded so happy  I do hope that this post today finds you doing well... you are in my continued prayers for your health and well-being :grouphug: (((Teel)))

Hi there Sue!
So good to see you!! I have been MIA as well! :o I will keep Carol in my prayers sweetie... is she still in the coma??!! :(
Sounds like we have a perfect camping weekend coming up - so Fall-like!!! Trees are changing... so beautiful! Joe & I got our front door stoop all decorated with hay, mums, pumpkins & a cornstalk, but the coons won't leave my cornstalk alone!!! This morning we found the corn on the stalk all broken and eaten  I hope you are enjoying it! (((Sue)))
Hi Lori!
So good to see you too... I am so sorry to hear of your AJ's issues... I will add him to my prayers!!! I do hope that *LA Wt-loss* will give you the step-up you need to lose the weight!! I know that it sure has done wonders for Michele and others on the program... wishing you luck and holding you in prayer!!!!
*~*~*
I hope that everyone else is doing well and staying healthy! :goodvibes
Take Care now and know that God is our strength!!

lateralus98 09-27-2005, 11:45 AM Hello all!
I have been so super busy. My mom came into town from Minnesota so I spent the weekend with her and been doing homework/working. Whew I'm tired.
My grandma and uncle weathered through the storm quite well! And their little kitty, too! Last thing I knew they still had power, but I have not spoken to either of them since Saturday...
Thanks klynntx for the PM, I really really appreciate it!! :goodvibes:
I'm down one more pound, to 152! I hope I can make it to 149!!! That would be so awesome!!!
SUNNY!!! It's so good to see you back! We've missed you! :grouphug:
I'm gonna eat some breakfast and take a nap. (I just got off work and got done working out so I have an excuse to nap!) ;)
I'll check in with everyone later.
lateralus98 09-27-2005, 11:49 AM BTW Gary I am praying for Zac's father!
Margie B. 09-27-2005, 02:18 PM Yes, :D it's me. . . unfortunately only for a minute :( but wanted to drop in quickly and say 'hi' and I've been 'lurking' occasionally trying to keep up with everyone, their praises and prayer requests. Know that you guys are often in my thoughts and prayers :) even though I can't update too often right now. HI also to the newbies, hope to get to meet you better in the coming days. The thread has been a little busier, or maybe I've just been gone a little longer. . . anyway, SUNNYD - nice to see you back again, ;) and TEEL - you've been so missed, :smug: EZ - I'm a Biggest Loser fan :tread: also, one of my favorite shows (other is Desperate Housewives), so many hellos to each of you, - Mitchypoo - hope all is going well w/Mom and your move, :bike: many prayers for you sweets. Hopefully I can get on again soon, get some updates and hellos out to everyone. Still walking :dancer: (and unfortunately eating too much :tantrum: ) but have 30.7 miles in for September so that's better than I did in July and August. (only 34 miles both months together!) All for now, hugs & prayers - Margie

EZMONEY 09-27-2005, 07:46 PM HI GALS
WWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWW!
Great to see some action here for a change...is it my imagination :nono:  :nono: that things always pick up when :queen: GRAPHICGODDESSSUNNYDONNAOURHERO :queen: is around?
Well, I started my new job today and got home early...caught up to the drywall hangers on the first day...man am I good  nah! I will sit out tomorrow and then I should be fine as far as having a lead in front of me. I was working with an old friend today...we have worked together off and on for 30 years, I hadn't worked with him for 3 years (although we keep in touch regularly on a personal basis)...it was nice, we car pooled together.
THANK ALL OF YOU FOR THE PRAYERS FOR DENNIS~~MY DAUGHTER'S BOYFRIEND'S FATHER! I saw my daughter before work this morning and she said the doctors think he may have had a stroke...that is all I know at the present. She will be home from work in a few hours and I may find out more.
Also EVERYONE thanks so much for your prayers for Angie and me in our...my discussion and her fight ;) I didn't mean to worry any of you...we are FINE! it is an on going thing with my step-daughter...if it was going to ruin my relationship with my wife it would have happened 7~8 years ago...almost did...THAT! is not a problem...the problem between myself~Angie~step-daughter and her dad is very complicated...but mostly the issues are between Lara and her father. To be honest, most of my problems with my step-daughter has to do with respect. Things that I hope go away with maturity...ON MY PART TOO! ;)
Angie called me this morning at work and said that the couple wanting our house in Washington accepted our counter offer! Looks like it is sold! So we won't make $$$ but the loss will be very small, if any. Bittersweet feelings for Angie and I right now. If we could have rented it out, we may have, but in the area it is in renters are not allowed...one of the reasons we bought there, it wasn't a secret to us..we knew the problem if we changed our minds.
Just finished defrosting chicken breasts...going to marianade them in Lawry's Louisana Red Pepper marianade then bake, rice and veggies.
SHIRLEY~ SUNNY2005~ Welcome! Prayers for your sister.
RACHEL~ YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! 10 days NO SMOKING for you! Any excuse IS a good excuse to take a nap
WILMA~ Enjoy the BBQ with DH....just the 2 of you now for dinner? Have a great "rest" on thursday and friday...Angie loves day where she goes to conferences...well, sometimes...and gets a break from teaching.
MARGIE~ Hey babe, thanks for the PM...I will show it to Angie when she gets home! So glad to have you back, I know work was going to be hectic for you...but...though we would see a little more of you. How is your kiddo with the new school year? tennis? Angie and I LOVE DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, CSI..the original...LOST...I like SURVIVOR and she is an ER fan...I like the comedies on CBS too, especially KING OF QUEENS and TWO AND A HALF MEN...awww no RAYMOND :( How is it going with Fred these days? Keep up the walking the best you can.
LORI~ Thanks for the info on your son's disorder...how sad...I will keep him in my prayers. I know my nephew and neice have issues from their mom and dad (my deceased brother)...life sure can be tough can't it! My ex wife's brother was in the service...once while he was away my ex SIL decided to have an affair with a black man...my poor nephew grew up VERY~VERY dark in between two brothers and one sister that are VERY~VERY fair skinned! Talk about some 'splainin' to do LUCY! I pray your boy responds to treatment. GREAT news on the 5 pound loss at LAWL! :cp:
KAREN~ Wish I had a pool to use as a storage garage  Be glad to come by and do your patch...how close are you guys to Dallas? Angie has family there. Yes I do cook a lot...I enjoy it...if I have the time. Just like everyone else probably. I am by no means a gourmet!! cook....just basic stuff...if I pay attention I can follow almost any recipe! Thanks for the christian book site, I put it in my favorites. The last christian book I read was A Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. I am going to check into the Precept Bible Study, I have never heard of it...a couple of years ago I finished the Bethel Bible Study...a very intense 2 year program.
SUNNYD~ :cp:  :balloons: :bubbles: :encore: :cheer: :cb: GREAT to see you! So sorry about your grandpa, so happy he is feeling better. My grandma turns 90 on October first...she isn't doing all that well, but at least my mom and sister are there to help her. Depression is a crazy thing...I have to push myself sometimes to stay positive...gets harder every year...I can see now how older folks just give up. That is one reason why I stay here on this site...you just never know who you will reach with ENCOURAGEMENT!! In fact I think I am getting close to 1,000 posts!! Thanks for all the prayers for Angie and I and the house...things are looking great on both those issues! My buddy had "air" problems too...guess I got lucky. Like you said...thank goodness not again for 5 years! Glad you enjoyed the peddlers market...we have not been to a street/crafts fair for awhile...other than the ones Angie sold stuff at. Take care of Joe ;)
Well~~HELLO to all the MIA's!...come back soon.
Gotta go clean up.............................
EZMONEY 09-27-2005, 07:46 PM SHOOT SUNNYD...I have OVER 1,000 posts now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jonathan - Welcome to Christian Encouragers! I hope you enjoy yourself here.
SunnyD -- So glad you're back!! Did I tell you that already? ;)
GREAT NEWS! I weighed in today, and since 8/01/2005 (I didn't W&M last month) I lost:
2 pounds (1.41 were fat)
2.50 in Bust
3.50 in waist (I'm down to a 34.25 waist!!! :o)
1.25 in Abdomen
0.75 in my hips
3.00 in my arms
and .50% body fat!!!
From 3/31/05 (when i first started at curves) I weighed 146 but my body fat percentage was up 1.30%! So I weigh more but I'm in better shape!
I don't think I will make it to 130 (unless I want to be deathly skinny) because towards the end of the weight loss journey is when you start to lose the tummy. And I started losing it so maybe I'm almost done? It doesn't matter to me what I weigh only what I look like. ;)
Gotta eat or else I'll pass out....talk to you all later!!!
mom2fivesweeties 09-28-2005, 06:25 PM Hi Everyone!
I went to my friend's new house today. She lives in the country about 40 miles south of St. Louis. This subdivision has 27 houses all with 5 acres or more. It is SO gorgeous! It's my dream house! We live in a huge subdivision with houses on top of each other - but hers - you don't even see another house! There are deer and eagles all over the place and of course all the other little cute country animals! I BROUGHT my lunch! She wanted to go out to lunch to a BUFFET! OMIGOSH! I would gain the 5 pounds I lost in one meal at a buffet! She is heavy too and really wants to try LAWL, but can't afford it. I'm going to try to help her - tell her what I'm eating, etc.
lateralus98: CONGRATS on the weight loss and inchest lost! I'm excited about 5 pounds - I will be ecstatic when I get to where you are!
GARY: Speaking of talking fast! Our nieces and our son's girlfriend talk so fast I can't understand half of what they are saying! AND be nice to Jonathan!!!
Hi Shirley!

going to church for 6 years now. They were hurt by things my family said and haven't been back. I too was out of Church for 3 years before God led me to Alpine where I have been for around 4 years now. Satan has decieved my wife into thinking that she can be right with God with out going to church and her relationship with God has slipped dramaticly.I know God has ajob for me to do at Alpine, but it is hard because Tina gets jealous over any time I spend at church . Please pray that God can soften her heart towards church and also my family.(we havent seen them in years because of how they treated her.)I Know God has
called me to serve Him,but it sure would be better and easier if I had the support ofmy dear wife. It breaks my heart knowing the blessings that are being missed and the work not being done by us as a team. Please, Please hold us in your prayers.
lateralus98 09-29-2005, 11:16 AM Gary ~~ I've been so lazy when it comes to homework. :stress:
mom2fivesweeties 09-29-2005, 04:41 PM Hi Chickies and you two roosters!!
It is only 64 degrees here at 2:30 in the afternoon! How gorgeous is that? The sky is so blue only God can get that color!
Went to LAWL again today and down another 1/2 pound! :dancer: Thanks to God and mom and dad!
JONATHAN: I will be praying for your family concerning the church issue. I sure am blessed when we go and I know your family would be too! Glad you joined us!
GARY: You mean old unc!! Kids are great aren't they? I'm sure your nephew will realize one day that you had his best interest at heart. I think my oldest sometimes actually realizes that now! :o That's a switch! AJ is still up to his sneaking around and doing things he shouldn't be doing. The school is having a meeting to try to get him some emotional/behavioral help that he desperately needs. Chelsi is in special ed as she has brain damage from high fevers and seizures while in India. She functions quite well on about a 65 IQ - But hers is more cognitive while AJ's is more behavorial. I just keep on praying!
RACHEL: I know it seems like it's quiet for awhile and then we all start posting again - I feel so much better physically and mentally that I'm losing weight that I feel more like being sociable - you know?
Hello to everyone else and have a wonderful Fall day wherever you are!!
:cheer: Onward and downward (weight wise)
Mitchypoo 09-29-2005, 04:53 PM Hello Jonathan and welcome, welcome, welcome....just ignore our dear Gary....no, he was only teasing, i know that, but he is our guy. His dear wife Angie allows us to share him and his wisdom....and he keeps us laughing too. But you are so welcome to join us!
I haven't been posting much because of my move in a week from MN to CA. There's a lot going on, i'm stressed, but it'll get done. Taking tomorrow off and having a yard sale this weekend. Mom will be here early thursday a.m and we're leaving before dawn on Sat! Have to take Tom my cat to vet to get a tranquilizer just in case the move is too hard on him. He'll be in a cat carrier (which he isn't thrilled about) and i think in my car being towed, or in the cab with us, can't decide where he'd be more comfortable.

Hi gang
I hope that everyone is doing well and busy with all the Fall Fun :^:
Joe and I have a day planned tomorrow of breakfast out with our friends, a bit of grocery shopping and then home to do a bit of Fall yard cleaning and planting. We bought some tulip bulbs and daffodil bulbs that need to be planted. And then on Sunday after church Joe & I are going with our friends on a *Century Home Tour* of 6 homes filled with furniture and items of the 1800's --- allot of fun to do on an Autumn day! Then we will go out to dinner with our friends and call it a day...
What are you all doing this weekend? :D

I bet that MaryKay is celebrating her birthday!
*Happy Birthday* sweetie! Hope that all these posts for BD wishes bring you back to us ;)
Hi Gary,
I will continue to keep Dennis in my prayers! In a way... it's a good thing that it has nothing to do with the cancer. Maybe he will heal faster... *Prayers* Congrats on selling your time share :cp:
Hot!!??? What's that?? We had a HIGH if 58* and in went into the 40's last night here and is 54* right now... burrrr... Fall is here!!! You should see our trees against the deep blue sky, absolutely beautiful!!! They are going to be bright and beautiful this year!
As for your genes... it's all where your mind is ---> *You are as YOUNG as you THINK you are* :D and YES!!! Joe knows where I AM but he is gone again tonight --- the only night this week he was home was Monday night! He has had either a meeting or a rehearsal every night... he is at a Choral rehearsal for a men's group tonight :) Thank-goodness for weekends... I get to have some time with him!!
Hey there guy... you watching *NCIS* on Tuesday nights still? Good show!!! Tonight is *Numb3rs*... luv that show too!!! So Gary... do you think that the Aussie and the Dr in *Lost* are related? Someone thought that they might be 1/2 brothers... what do you think?
Hi Rachel!
 Yes... you did... Good job in your results from going to Curves!! :bravo:
Hi Lori,
You should be so proud of yourself sweetie!!!! Packing your own lunch like you did! :cp: You are so right about Buffets... it is not a place to go to when you are trying to drop weight!! YOU GO GIRL!!! :cheer: :bravo: Keep up the GREAT work!!!!!! Sounds like you had a lovely day with your friend :)
Hi Jonathan,
It's gonna be great having you and Gary here fighting for our attentions... Sounds like you have a lovely family!! Joe & I don't have any children (long story) but we do have 3 furry kids (cats) :D And we have been married for 30 years this past June. My hubby Joe is a singer and a music director for a 25 person choir... that is too kewl that you are a MD also :) How many in your choir? How long have you been doing it? Do you sing also? My Joe is a tenor and also sings for Weddings and Funerals when needed...
I will surely keep your wife, Tina, and your children in my *Prayers* about going to church... prayers can be very powerful Jonathan... just believe with all your heart when you ask in prayer. And try hard not to tug on your family so much about going to church, but on the Lord's robe in prayer more ;) You cannot change your family, but you can change you and how you approach them... I will also lift up your family in prayer! God Bless you... stay true to God and believe that things can and will change.
Hi Michele,
Good luck with your garage sale this weekend!!! Hope you do well my friend... sounds like you are having a great time with your mother there. WoW! Next week you move... bet you cannot wait!
Well... time for me to call it a night...
Sure do hope all you MIA's come back real soon.
Have a WONDERFUL Weekend!!
*Good Night and God Bless*

mom2fivesweeties 09-30-2005, 10:53 PM Hello Everyone!
It's a beautiful Friday evening here in southwestern Illinois - 60 degrees! I just love fall! My oldest actually went grocery shopping with me today and we bought $200.00 worth of groceries which isn't too bad for 7 of us! Most of it was fruit, veggies, lean meats, etc. for mommy to get healthy! And everyone else is getting healthy too! :)
SUNNYD: Your weekend sounds so nice! We ordered some crocus bulbs and giant hyacinth bulbs from Breck's this year. They haven't come yet, but when they do we'll be busy! We bought lots! I think hyacinths smell the best of ALL flowers, including roses which I have plenty of too! The Century Home Tour sounds great! We are history buffs here and it sure sounds like something we would love to do! Have a great time! :thanks: for your sweet comments about my weight loss and bringing my lunch to my friend's house - every little thing we do to help our progress really WILL pay off won't it? Have FUN tomorrow and Sunday!
MICHELE: Good luck with the yard sale and your move! It's such a stressful time - I always freak out when I have a lot on my plate - prayers going up for your sanity, dear!!
Plans for this weekend - hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - Chris has a birthday party at the local bowling alley tomorrow - not much else going on - Sunday is Sunday School, church, and then we are all going to mom and dad's except for Mike who works at Wal-Mart on Sundays - :(
Well, better get the kids on their going to bed mode - have a GREAT weekend!!
wilma12 10-01-2005, 01:50 PM Hi everyone! I've been having trouble getting through to this site. My computer is ancient and is sometimes very stubborn. I've had a great week. Tuesday evening we were without power for 3 hours. I didn't get to watch The Amazing Race but I did have a nice candle light visit with DS.
I was on course for Thurs and Fri so I had a break from work and hopefully learned some things that I can take back to work with me.
Today I am going fabric shopping with my DIL so I can start working on their quilt. Should be fun! Stitching in the evening keeps me out of the fridge.
I'm glad to see it's been busier around here lately and that there's been some weight loss happening. YEAH! Welcome to Jonathon! Your family is in my prayers.
Talk again soon!
EZMONEY 10-01-2005, 02:22 PM  HI GALS and GUY
I just spent an hour this morning to e-mail all my friends...ok~~both of them  to explain the Washington situation.
Beautiful morning here in California, Angie is heading up to Ventura county to visit her mom and sister for the week-end so I am a free man!! FOOTBALL~BEER~PIZZA!!! She is having a Partylite show too, so maybe she will bring back some $$$ ;)
we went to Soup Plantation last night, all you can eat salad and soup, Angie's favorite restaurant...I just can't help stuffing myself like a freakin' turkey  As we walked out I told her it's crazy to go to a place with food GOOD for you and then walk out feeling so BAD!! She doesn't have that problem! But boy I sure do!
We have movers moving our new couch, chair and ottomans, and drywall ladders and scaffolding from the house in Washington down here~~they were supposed to be there at 5pm on Thursday....got there at 10pm last night~~ just how are real estate agent wanted to spend his Friday night  ..showing them what to take. There was a TV, dishes, pots and pans, towels, table and chairs, computer desk, patio chairs, etc. that we donated to a family up there from hurricane Katrina...our neighbor up there is a pastor at a church in town, their church has adopted the family. Stuff goes to a good cause and saves us $$$ in shipping!
Thank you all for the prayers for Dennis. My daughter told me that they are still doing tests, he is back home, the doctors have allowed him to go back to work~~computer software stuff~~ but not drive. My future son-in-law...ahhh! will be taking him to the train and then another friend/employee will pick him up and take him back to the depot and send him home each day for now. To be honest, I don't think they need the $$$, it's just that dennis can not sit still, and with the unknown of the cancer, in remission now, well, he just wants to keep on living! He is a christian!!
JONATHAN~ Prayers for your wife and family. All you can do, which I am sure you have, is to keep praying and inviting without criticizing or being hollier than thou!n Doesn't sound like that is a problem for you. You just never know what will happen to turn it around. The seeds were planted though, you can be sure of that.
LORI~ Hey girl! you sure do have your hands full with those kids~~MY NEW HERO! Great work on the shopping. My daughter went by the veggie/fruit store yesterday after jury duty and brought home $20 worth of fruit! She always walks in the house "craving fruit" for a snack. Glad the weather is nice there, going to call my mom this afternoon and WISH MY GRANDMA A HAPPY 90th BIRTHDAY :hb:
MKAY~ :hb:
MICHELE~ Have a safe trip "back home"...looks like we are both coming back at the same time  The fires in Ventura should be out by the time you get here. Hope you make $$$$ at the sale.
AUNT SUE~ Prayers for your friend still coming from here.
MARGIE~ Thanks for getting that off to Juan. He e-mailed me yesterday and said he is safe but there are some boys in an area near him not doing so well. Prayers for your nephew!
SUNNYD~ Have fun at the home show, sounds cool  Angie wanted to "get into" that numbers show, but just couldn't stay awake...she actually watched for a little bit last night too before she went out. I haven't yet had the chance to see NCIS this year with all that has been going on, as far as LOST...hummm...could be on to something there. It has been in the 90's here the last 4 days, supposed to cool down a little today.
Well, off to do some laundry before USC WINS!!
I might go to the Vikingfest after the game....will fill you in if I do.
Enjoy your week-end gals!...and guy!
Gary...don't forget to WORSHIP!!
EZMONEY 10-01-2005, 02:24 PM HI WILMA! Maybe I should have Angie send you some Partylite candles so you can visit with DS some more! Have fun shopping....................
Penny Mac 10-02-2005, 05:25 PM Hi, I'm new to this group, and I have about 18 lbs to lose till my gaol weight. I want to be down by Christmas, but will settle for 12 lbs off.
I'm retired as an administrative assistant, but am thinking I would like to work part time if the Lord would open up that door. My husband has diabetis, so we don't really a lot of junk in the house, but once a month I try and fix a special dessert for us.
Our daughter just had to move back home and is finishing up her degree and is also on a diet. Exercise is a problem because I have fibromylgia, (which is why I had to retire)
We are starting Body by God in our Church as part of small group ministry, and we will be joining that.
We live in northwest Ohio, and have been enjoying the cool weather, I look forward to falll every year, this is my favorite time of the year. :) A time to get out the sweaters and warn clothes.
Gary, are you in the fire area in CA? Every year we see the fires out there and I think maybe NW Ohio isn't that bad, just flat and open.
Glad I found all of you.
Penny Mac
EZMONEY 10-02-2005, 07:11 PM HI EVERYONE
Just finished fertilizing the grass....er...watching Ron do it! So nice to have him in "trouble" on the week-end...makes it a lot easier on me  Poor nephew ;) Hey, it's good for him
Church was cool today. Sermon was on staying focused on Christ, what is our purpose on earth.
Well my USC TROJANS won in a tough game yesterday...good thing Angie wasn't home to hear my :coach: yelling! My RAIDERS are ahead now but I'm sure that won't last!
OH! AND WHILE I WAS WATCHING THE GAME~~REBA JUMPED OUT THE LIVINGROOM WINDOW....WENT TO SEE ANOTHER GOLDEN RETRIEVER ACROSS THE STREET THAT WAS WALKING, I THINK SHE THOUGHT IT WAS RYLEE OR ANOTHER GOLDEN THAT IS A FRIEND OF OURS...NOT SURE...BUT WHAT A SURPRISE...AND NOT A NICE ONE EITHER...YA SEE I LIVE IN A TRI-LEVEL HOUSE....THAT WINDOW IS AT ABOUT 7 FEET HIGH AT THE BOTTOM OF IT...SHE IS OK. BUT THIS DOG DEFINETLY HAS ISSUES!
PENNY MAC~ WELCOME! Glad to have you here. Thanks for asking but I am not near the current fires, they are in the Los Angeles inland area, I live north of San Diego and coastal. With the big fires we had a couple of years ago, one got within 15 miles of us, we had a ton of smoke in the air for 3-4 days from all of them, but we were never in any danger from the fires themselves. The current ones in LA are near my SIL and MIL...but they are far enough away and in no danger. Last year my neice's car broke down on the freeway near opened land, her car caught on fire and it spread to the land....burned several hundred acres, tons of firemen and trucks and planes..she made the Los Angeles news....the fire not her name...minor...anyway the land was just fields of brush...no damage really and no one hurt...no cost to her because it wasn't her fault. Any time there's a fire in Los Angeles County though we always ask "WAS MANDY DRIVING?" As far as your weight goes...shoot for your goals...but settle for WHATEVER you lose and keep going forward...what if you only lose 11...are ya gonna quit? :nono:  :nono: Of course not!You will discover other friends here from OHIO....great gals. Good luck in your search to find the right part time job or maybe volunteer work. Prayers for your family's health.
Well, Angie is home...think we are gonna wash her car...later,
Prayers for all~~Gary
mom2fivesweeties 10-03-2005, 01:13 AM Hi Everyone!!
I hope you all had a great weekend! We were pretty busy - well, duh - with 7 of us, of course we were! Chris had a great time at the birthday party for his friend, Cory. He bowled a 108 and had never bowled a game in his life. His first ball was a strike! This kid is just naturally gifted athletically. We ran errands and cleaned house on Saturday. Today we went to church and then to mom and dad's. Boy, it sure turned warm here again. We had beautiful fall weather for a couple days and then BAM! Summer is back! :o
Our church sells apple butter every year and this coming weekend is IT! We peel on Friday and cook it on Saturday - it's really a lot of fun - we do it as it's been done for years in the big vats over open fires. Our church is 160+ years old so it's pretty cool doing all the traditions -
GARY: I cannot believe Reba jumped out the window!! :o I'm so glad she is okay! As you said in your other post, we DEFINITELY have our hands full with the kids, but we DID know going in! They called us several times from India every time Chelsi had another seizure just to keep us posted what was going on. Apparantely the seizures delayed the growth of her brain. Her head is very tiny. There were doctors from Michigan that actually went over there for the agency to check on our girls, and they didn't think Chelsi would be very high functioning at all! WELL SHE SURPRISED EVERYONE! :cp: She got straight A's in her special ed classes for mid terms! We have high expectations for her and she strives to reach them. And the boys - well, we knew what went on there too - I always say that God has a sense of humor - I couldn't have any more children after I had Mike, and I prayed for a solution - well, look what we have now!! Tell Grandma Happy 90th!!! :woo:
PENNY MAC: WELCOME!! You will love it here! :cloud9:
WILMA: Wow! I'd LOVE to work on a quilt, but wouldn't have a clue how to get started! I need something to keep the hands busy too!
SUNNYD: Thanks for the encouragement on my weight! I go again on Tuesday - I hope it just keeps going down! I sure have been a good girl!!
HI TO EVERYONE ELSE!!!
Have a WONDERFUL week!!
wilma12 10-03-2005, 10:10 AM It's Monday and the start of a new week. Why do weekends go so fast?? We had a relaxing day yesterday. We went to church in the a.m. and then had a nice chicken dinner after. Then we just relaxed, watched a movie, etc. Really nice! Our pastor has been doing a series on healing of emotions, hard hearts, bodies, etc. Each service has been so moving. Thank God we have HIM to rely on. Where would we be?
Lisa: Apple butter! I haven't had that in ages. Sounds so yummy. And to be able to get together with others to work sounds like fun. I miss those days.
I love quilting. I find it so relaxing after a busy day. My DIL chose navy, cherry red and beige as her colours. I can hardly wait to get started.
Gary: What's up with that dog? I'm glad she wasn't hurt. I have to ask a dumb question. Was your window open? Up here we have screens on our windows to keep the bugs out so I'm picturing her going through that.
Penny Mac: Welcome to our group! This is a great group of people who will support you and rejoice with you when you have victory. Keep posting and let us know how you're doing.
It's that time again. Better get off to work.
Have a great day!
Penny Mac 10-03-2005, 10:48 AM Hay, everyone. Gary, glad to hear you are safe.
I would like to reach my goal, but have trouble with exercise. 3x's a week i'm scheduled for physical therpy. I go into the pool for a physical therapy class called "hinges and twinges", designed be the Arthritis Foundation. The only nice thing about this is I'm the youngest one there. :) .
My husband and I rarely eat out because it is hard for him to stay with his diet, most places give way too much food and we never go to a family style buffet.
We had great services yesteday, both am and pm. We belong to a church of about 1800 people, lots going on, and opportunities for ministry.
13 weeks till Christmas and my goal weight. :jig:

doitforme 10-03-2005, 11:20 AM Sorry I have been MIA, but been really busy with work ect. My car just got towed to garage with broken transmission lines, rusted through from salt in winter, and have been fighting a stomach bug for a coupledays, but overall doing good. My staff that was on life support, currently is out of ICU she still is in a coma, but is showing more reactions to stimuli. She is not brain dead, she is off ventilator. So appreciate all your prayers. I camp this coming weekend, last weekend of the season, can't believe it is Oct already. But has been nice last couple days.

EZMONEY 10-03-2005, 09:22 PM HI GALS
A quick check in today. Spent most of the day cleaning house, off today...back to work tomorrow...power went out on our job so I had a day off.
WILMA~ Yes! The window was open, it was a warm day, Reba just jumped right through the screen...she didn't break it though, I was able to put it back.
LORI~ Great job bowling by Chris! My neice, Summer, bowls, she has a 145 avg. but last week she shot a 220~189~171! Looking pretty good for high handicap series. I bowled for many years, I haven't in quite a while though...shoulder...I was pretty good...could carry a 193 avg. at our home town alley...not anywhere else though!
PENNY MAC~ Keep up the good work in the pool!
AUNT SUE~ AWWW! Camping season almost over already? How close are you to that tradgedy with the site seeing boat and the senior citizens? Sad.
Well, I have to get dinner going...keep praying for Dennis...the latest news is nnot good...he went out with my daughter's boyfriend yesterday (his son) to play catch...couldn't get motor skills working on throwing or catching easy toss...hands not working well, with computer work he needs fingers to work with the brain....not good right now...thanks for your prayers.
Gary
doitforme 10-04-2005, 03:30 PM Hi guy! Sorry to hear that Dennis is having more problems, hard when it conflicts with work something some would escape into. The boat incident where 20 seinors died when boat capsized is only about 1/2 hour from me it is between where I live and where my parents live. They still are not sure what happened. There are some bigger boat, actually small ships that cruise the Lake as well. Supposedly one of them caused a large wave, which helped turn the boat over, and it happened so quickly they couldn't get the stowed life jackets out. There was also only one crew person, the captain, and they will be fined for that, in reality it probably wouldn't have mattered if there were more. The lake is deep and getting colder at this time. It was a terrible tradgedy. Last weekend, of camping, till next year. Just when fall is getting nice, cold enough to really enjoy the fire, and seeing the beautiful colors on all the maple trees ect. I am feeling better, off work today and tom. I am also car less, my transmission lines ruptured and need to be replaced, I had it towed in and got the estimate for the work yesterday, $600. There goes my Christmas club that just came in, Merry Christmas to me. Other than waiting on that just playing on computer. Going to check out some craft ideas for Christmas presents. Catch ya later.Oh Well, God bless, see ya all later!

Hello all, welcome Penny! Penny are on Nutri Diary also? there is a lady there with that name.I I heard about 3fc through one of her posts.
Gary, if you talk to the dog the way you talked to me.......
no wonder she jumped out the window :joker: lol jk.
I want to tell each of you just how thankful I am for your prayers! There is no way I could tell you what It means to me.
Sunny, sad to say we don't have an organized chior at this time . My church runs around 50 people on the average in the AM and 20 in the PM. What we lack in size we make up for in love and Christian service!what prayer warriors we are blessed with there ! Pastor Brian and I sing to gether quite often.I can sing pretty much any part but bass, but we have wonderful Spirit led services.
Please remember to pray for the families of those lost in the boat accident! Many of them are with in 20 or thirty miles of here where I am.
Weighed in this week and DrumRoll please........................
I am down 6 lbs from last week!!! That means only one more lb to go in the first phase of creating a healthier me!
251, so maby next week I'll get to create a new weight loss graph!
OK, better go, been rambeling on too long.
You all are precious! :D
love,
mom2fivesweeties 10-05-2005, 08:58 AM GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!
How are you all doing this Wednesday morning? Weighed in yesterday at LAWL and down another pound and a half. I think that is around 7 total - if I could ever exercise, it would come off quicker, but I'm still babying the knee. I have ordered some knee supports which are supposed to be really good, so when they come, I will be able to at least walk - that should help! :cp:
JONATHAN: CONGRATS on the 6 pounds! That's awesome!
SUE: We used to camp all the time with just Bob and Mike and me. Then when we got all the littles, we TRIED - really we did! OMIGOSH! It was NOT a relaxing experience - maybe it was because we brought all 3 dogs too! I guess we sure were entertainment for other campers! :o
WILMA: The quilt sounds like it will be really beautiful! I love the colors your DIL picked out! I'm still stuck in the navy, hunter and maroon colors - my friend, Peg, informed me the other day that those colors are "out" now! She should know I never worried about that kind of stuff. If I like the colors, I'll work with them - whether they are in, out or in-between!
Would you all pray for my oldest, Mike? He is trying to quit smoking. Why he ever started, is beyond me! I never did smoke and can't imagine why anyone would, but at 19 1/2, he succumbed to peer pressure a couple of years ago - :?: I'm taking him to the MD today to see about a patch or something for him. Please pray that he is successful. :thanks:
Well I guess that's it for now! Have a GREAT day and God Bless all of you!
lateralus98 10-05-2005, 01:29 PM Whew! A lot has happened since I was last here! :dizzy:
Jonathan: Congrats on the 6 pound loss! That's HUGE!!!! How exciting! :cp:
Gary: Continued prayers for Dennis! I hope he feels better soon.
Lori: Congrats on your weight loss! Doesn't it feel awesome when we stay on plan and see results!
Sunny: Hope you had fun at the home show -- I know I would!!!
Sue: So glad to see you're back! Look forward to seeing you around more!
Me? I've been really busy with school and work. I may have found another perfect job that would fit into my others. twice a week, 10-2 and they already love me. So maybe I will get it? Who knows.
Good news? I'm down to 150! I don't know how much I weighed last time I was here, but I am SO CLOSE to losing that last pound to make my Halloween goal!!!! Hopefully I can keep it up!
I gotta run....geography homework, you know!
wilma12 10-05-2005, 08:25 PM I have some very upsetting news. IT'S SNOWING HERE!!!! I can't believe what I'm seeing. It won't stay long but it's here now. Very messy!
My kids are all employed. Youngest DS went back to work today after a LOA because of his asthma. His day went well. He goes to the respiratory specialist tomorrow so hopefully he'll get some idea of what he has and the severety of it. He's like a different guy now that he has work again. Praise God.
This weekend is our Thanksgiving. We will go spend Sunday with my mom. Holidays are difficult for her now that dad is gone. It'll be a good day.
Penny: Those therapy sessions in the water will be very good for you. No pressure on the joints.
Doitforme: Sorry to hear about your car troubles. That is such a pain. How long will you be without? Good news about your co-worker. We'll pray for a full recovery.
GAry: We're definitely keeping Dennis in our prayers. Keep looking up!
Jonathan: Sounds like you have a really great church family. We're still getting to know ours. We came from one like yours and are now going to a larger church. (We moved so we had to change churches) WTG on the 6 lbs. Keep up the great work!
mom25sweeties: Great job on the weight loss. I find exercising really hard too. I love my sleep in the morning and am too tired in the evening. We'll get it right yet.
Rachel: Hope that job works out for you. The hours sound great! WTG on the 150 lbs. How much more to lose?
EZMONEY 10-05-2005, 11:32 PM HI GALS AND GUY
Goodness it is hot here in Southern California, our usual santa ana winds and heat right before fall...in the 90's!
Had to take Rylee to the vet today...ear infection...so that's almost $300 on the two mutts in two weeks! OUCH!!! with the visits, check-ups, shots and meds.
WILMA~ Sending some sun for you. Great news on the boys and their jobs. Good that you can be there for your mom at least.
RACHEL~ Super with the new job...OF COURSE! they love you! Get that homework done and come help my nephew!
AUNT SUE~ Prayers for the boaters families. Good luck on your car work, not sure what we are going to do around here, now that my ex's significant other has sold his shop and is limited on what he can do for us with his back troubles.
LORI~ Great work at LAWL! Have your son try the nicotine gum if nothing else works...get him to stick to it for a month at least...the only way I was able to stop about 7 years ago, after smoking since I was 16...now 51!
JONATHAN~ Great job on the weight loss. Prayers continue for your family in their "return" to church.
Well, gonna go watch some baseball.....
HI MIA's.....Gary
EZMONEY 10-05-2005, 11:33 PM MICHELE~ I think your are heading home today...prayers for a safe trip!
mom2fivesweeties 10-06-2005, 05:26 PM HEY GUYS AND GALS!!
Just back from LAWL - DOWN ANOTHER TWO POUNDS!! Thanks be to God and mom and dad for footing the bill!
It's only 62 degrees here at 3:20 in the afternoon and it is SO gorgeous! Mike (my oldest) got on Zoloft yesterday to help him with depression (runs in the family) and quitting smoking - praying it works for him.
GARY: I told Mike about the gum - the doctor said as long as he doesn't get hooked on the gum you're alright! :o My DH quit in 1980 cold turkey - he was a 3 pack a day smoker - some can do it that way and some can't - my aunt, who we were all very close to, was dying from emphysema back then - he says it had nothing to do with him quitting, but I can't see how it didn't, you know?
WILMA: The SNOW wouldn't be upsetting to me! I LOVE the stuff. When I was a little girl, this area got TONS of it - we are lucky we get one good snowfall a year now - :( Send some PLEASE!! ;) I hear ya on the sleeping - the kids leave for the bus at 7:00 and it's too darn early to do anything else but doze in my recliner chair - I worked for so many years and punched a time clock, that when I CAN doze in the morning, I don't feel guilty at all!
RACHEL: Thanks for the congrats! YES! It feels SO WONDERFUL to stay on plan and see results!! I'm VERY happy about it! :cp: :cb:
Well all heck is going to break lose in about a minute - I hear the bus!!! :o
Take care and prayers for all -
jess411 10-06-2005, 06:41 PM Hi everyone! I'm Jess, and it's my first day here. Just wanted to jump in with both feet. Just so you know, I'm a Dr. Pepper addict, but mainly Diet Dr. Pepper. :D
doitforme 10-07-2005, 10:06 AM Welcome Jess! I won't hold it against ya for being Dr. Pepper addict, ;) Can't say as I ever developed a liking to it, taste like cough syrup to me, but have friends who like it. Come back and tell us more.
Johnathan- CONGRATES DOWN 67 LBS way to go, I live about a half hour from where the accident with the boat happened. It was a terrible accident. Continued prayers for family!
Momto5-CONGRATES! or should I say DITTOS! down 3 and a half pounds. I am sure there have been times I have provided entertainment for others, I use to own a pop up and my nick name was tarp queen- looked like the circus came to town. Continued prayers for your knee and mike.
Lateralus- Thanks! so sweet! YOU ARE DOING SO WELL! Almost to goal ! You have done so well!
Congrats on new job as well, sounds like will work out well.
Wilma- Please keep the snow! Not ready for that yet, as it is it is suppose to ran all weekend, bummer last camp weekend. Prayers for sons asthma. I got my car back Wed. afternoon, so that wasn't too bad, without for 3 days!
E.Z.- Yow! $300 vet bills- but the girls are worth it. They have to be able to hear daddy ! Our niece is now walking holding onto 1 hand- she is doing great. She sings e-i-e-i-e-i- some how forgets OOOOOH. She is too cute.
Well gotta go. Going to travel agent to set up next trip to Carribbean (won't be leaving till April) will need vacation by then. Leave N.Y. Harbor and go to Eastern Carribean. Then off to rainy weekend camping and closing up camper for season, have a great holiday weekend. See ya!
lateralus98 10-07-2005, 12:42 PM Gary -- Are you going to the UFC Pay Per View tonight? Or renting it? What do yuo think of Andrei Arlovski? I think he's sooo awesome. He's a monster. That vampire tooth mouthguard terrifies me!!!
Penny Mac 10-07-2005, 12:42 PM Hay everyone,
Jonathan, no I'm not that Penny, the only diet we are on is my husband's diabetic diet, 3 balanced meals a day and he has a snack at bedtime so he can take his insulin.
Wilma, sorry you have snow, but what a great time to sit and quilt, What pattern are you working on. I have been working on a grandmother's flower garden for several years. i didn't do much while I was working, but now I think I can get back to it. It started as a full size, but ended up as a large king sized.
Sunny D where are you in eastern Ohio? Our daughter lived in Euclid for almsot 10 years. She is now living with us, as she finishes her degree.
Today is cool, yeaterday we had the A/C on because it was in the 80's and muggy.
That is so sad about the boating accident, 6 of the people killed were from our area.
Has any one heard abut the glycemic index diet? I keep reading good results, but no concrete information.
This has been a busy week, I do publicity for 2 groups, Alglow International and a local group concerned withthe invironment. everything is coming together this week, so I have been on the computer a lot this week.
Have to get going.
Penny Mac
mom2fivesweeties 10-08-2005, 12:25 AM HAPPY FRIDAY!
How are all my guys and gals doing tonight? It's down to 45 degrees! WOW! It was 85 a day or so ago and now down to 45! We were sitting around our fireplace on the patio with a nice fire and we were still cold - I guess we're just not used to it!
SUE: The Caribbean sounds SO nice! My cousin has a condo in Pensacola Beach that we use every year as we can't afford a vacation - but the gas prices were just toooooooooo high this year - hopefully next year we will get there - my oldest really misses the beach. He wants to move to FL some day!
JESS: Welcome! Dr. Pepper is fine to be addicted to! I'm afraid back in the day I was addicted to much harder stuff! I'm 50 now and much too old for anything harder than juice!
I have two things lying heavy on my heart tonight. We live in the St. Louis metro area and it is VERY high crime - homicides EVERY night on the news - rapes - you name it. But in the last two days there were two brutal crimes that just have had me in tears.
The first one was a young girl, 16 years old, was beaten, raped, and her SUV was set afire to cover the crime. The person who did this "loved" her and couldn't live without her. She started going out with another guy. He wanted to kill himself and her too - well, he sits in jail and her family is shocked beyond belief. This all took place 10 miles from our home over in south St. Louis County. I grieve for this girl's family. They lost a son 2 years ago in a car wreck.
The other crime happened in Belleville, IL which is 10 minutes east of us. Two young women, a young man and a 6 WEEK old baby were brutally murdered. The baby's father hunted them down and shot them in cold blood because he wasn't sure the baby was his. This innocent little baby was sitting in his pumpkin seat and his father shot him through his head.
God Help Us - PLEASE pray for the families of the victims and the families of the murderers. They both confessed in both cases -
I just can't get these people out of my head - only God can give them peace and comfort -
God Bless all of you ~~~~
:grouphug:
lateralus98 10-08-2005, 02:25 AM Prayers for those awful people...
EZMONEY 10-08-2005, 11:35 AM HI EVERYONE
Just sitting here drinking my :coffee: It is a gorgeous morning here in southern California, however, it is supposed to get in the low 90's and stay that way for most of the next week.
Angie and I are going to paint the kitchen ceiling today, maybe the walls too. Our kitchen isn't very big so it shouldn't take too long...we do have to remove a wallpaper border that Angie doesn't want up anymore. The puppies should be a great help in doing this
RACHEL ~ No, I didn't watch the UFC last night, my nephew went with his mom and my son went with some buddies to watch it---that left me here (with Angie) by myself so I gave Angie a break and we just watched the YANKEE-ANGEL game (we are Angel fans) before and during commercials of Bernie Mac and Reba. Good game for us. My son told me this morning that the fights weren't that good this time, said one only went 9 seconds! I think he mentioned that Forrest's fight was pretty good. Oh, and on Arlovski  freak  ...NOW GET BACK TO YOUR HOMEWORK! :coach: ;)
LORI~ So sad about those murders :( It happens in our area too...guess you really can't escape it, I do know that some hit us harder than others, one that made me extra sad a few days ago (not a murder) was the one in PA., I think, where a 15 yr. old boy was practicing JV football with the team and they were hit unexpectedly by lightning killing him and hurting others. You send your kids off to school, expecting them to come home safe.
WOW! The advice on not getting addicted to the gum brought back memories. I was addicted to it for over a year, I knew it was better for me...but...oh my! the $$$...anyway I kicked that in one day...put on a patch my brother gave me, chewed sugarfree gum only...when it came time to replace the patch I just didn't...kept chewing sugarfree for the oral...never had another problem...I do chew about 24 pieces a day of Eclipse polar-ice, wintergreen, spearmint, and peppermint though...Angie doesn't mind  :nono:  She likes it MUCH better than my :smoking: Can you believe I was able to hide my 2+ pack a day habit from her for the first three months that we dated? She would have never! ever! dated me if she knew I was a smoker...EVER! She actually though I was lying when I confessed that I did smoke...then she got mad :( :( thinking that I had lied to her about it~~~ I never said that I didn't and she never asked...she just assumed that I didn't! Whew! Thank God all the time...if it wasn't for her I would still be :smoking: ...NO! I would be dead!! My brother in law tried the zoloft for the smoking only...was off for a year but back on them now :( Prayers for your son's depression...keep a good eye (AS YOU ARE DOING!) on him!
JESS~ I too was a DR. PEPPER addict....for about 15 years...I haven't had but a couple in the last 10 years though...Barq's rootbeer for me now. I only drink a couple of sodas a week now....now about the coffee and beer! It's funny though, with the Dr. Pepper for so long...people, even family still think that is my drink of choice...they always have it at birthday parties and such for me. Welcome.
AUNT SUE~ EIEIOOOOOOOOOOO how cute! Now, the Carribbean sounds nice :dancer: Angie has already been so we won't need to take her ;) Glad you got your car back, I hope the $$$ damage wasn't too bad. Prayers for Carol.
PENNYMAC~ Glad you are sticking around.
MIA'S~~~~~ You know who you are :dunno: ....YES  you do!
Well, Angie is taking the mutts for their Saturday 3 miler...better get ready so I can "help" her paint when she comes back.....gotta get done before the USC game today!!
Have a great week-end folks!~~~GARY
jess411 10-08-2005, 11:36 AM Well, I should probably introduce myself as more than a Dr. Pepper addict.
I'm a senior in college, majoring in English, and planning to be a missionary after I graduate next May. I'm a writer. I'm a pianist. And I'm a cashier at a local grocery store. I "do" a lot. LOL.
Well, there's not much to really share, but if you want to ask me questions, maybe I can answer them. I can't really promise that, but I'll decide on a question by question basis. How's that?
Talk to y'all later,
Jess
lateralus98 10-08-2005, 03:04 PM Yeah Arlovski knocked that guy out with ONE punch is 15 SECONDS!!!!
He's a bad, bad man.
I love him though!
I do need to get back to homework. :(

Hello sorry it has been a long time. but life has been really tough. I think I posted and let you know in April my Mom's house caught on fire and she was staying with me. Then I had surgery and my Dog was killed as I was trying to catch her (I couldn't move quick because of my surgey) It took 5 months to rebuild Moms house but she has been back two weeks and went for her monthy Dr. App. and the Dr had more bisopsy's done and her cancer is back. In the last year my Mom had treatment for throat cancer was told it was gone but had to go monthy for scopes and then lost her house just moved back and her cancer is back. They are removing her voice box on Thursday. And they will have bypass her breathing to a stoma in her neck. The surgery is going to be a life changing event. Please pray for her. And put her on your churches prayer chains. I know prayer carries us through. Her Name is
Frances Mills her surgey is at 8am thurs.
Thank you,
Sami
doitforme 10-11-2005, 12:08 PM Sammy- Glad your back, sorry for all the bad news! Lots of prayers coming your way for your mom, she has had a rough year, with all that has happened, sound like yours has had some ruts too! Prayers the surgery goes well on Thurs. and for healing. How is that grandbaby Chase doing? Getting big?
Mom to 5- Wow! So sad - Hard to believe people can be so evil to each other. But your right God is the only way to peace, they don't know Him. Pray for both the families of the victims, as well as the perpetrators they both need Him.
E.Z.- Hey big guy- I am sure she would, I do and I have been there a handful of times. Where abouts did she go? I never miss a chance at the Carribbean. :beach: :sunny: My car ended up being $438. They gave me 10% of parts and 15% off labor which helped immensely. :bravo:
Thanks for prayers for carol, basically no change, just keep praying as brain is considered still active, and was making small responses.
Jess- Wow! A missionary- cool the world needs more! Where abouts do you plan to go? Are you going with a group or on your own. Do you have a sending group? Just curious. I do a mission's trip every year with the youth group I help lead, where they go to nursing homes, and adult living homes, and present the gospel through music and skits. It goes over well! and they enjoy the kids.
Sunny- have fun and stay safe on your vacation.
Well camp is closed for the rest of the season till April 06 bummer, winter is fast approaching. cold and damp all week this week, lots of rain, but at least not snow. E.Z. where is the sun, send some of the heat! Gotta run, but hi to all I missed, and MIA"s God Bless!
lateralus98 10-11-2005, 03:57 PM I'm in the middle of getting ready for work, but I have a second to post
Quick question -- my car is going to be in the shop for 2 - 3 weeks and I can't go to Curves until it is fixed. What are some things I can do at home to keep from gaining weight??

mom2fivesweeties 10-11-2005, 10:18 PM SHORT PRAISE REPORT!
I just wanted to share something with all of you. We take things to consignment shops for the kids clothing. We usually have a credit in the store and we buy larger clothing with the credit. This works great since we never have any $$$$ left at the end of the month. Well our usual consignment shop is under new management and the woman was SO rude to me today. She practically threw my stuff back over the counter at me. I had Barbie toys that hadn't been played with and everything.
So I took all my stuff and went to a different shop which pays you on the spot for your stuff - you don't have to wait for it to sell to get your $$$$. They were 3 1/2 hours backed up so I left the stuff and went home. In the meantime, I told Bob I needed to buy some groceries on Thurs. after LAWL. He said we didn't have much $$$ right now for the groceries because Mike needed shoes and jeans the other day. Well I panicked, because if I don't buy the diet stuff, I'll eat the bad stuff.
Do you know that when Bob went back to see about the clothing, they had a check for nearly $35.00 for us? I was so thankful! \O/ This will cover my fresh fruit and veggies for my LAWL diet!
See how God takes care of us???
Just thought I'd share!
:cloud9:
sew4life 10-12-2005, 01:33 AM Hello to all!
I joined yesterday, and spent this evening reading many threads through different groups. This is the place for me!
My name is Sue - live in Southern Nevada - married to Jerry for 6 years; I have 2 grown children -Veronica, age 37, and Anthony, age 32. Veronica and her husband Tony live nearby with 4 wonderful grandchildren of mine! Anthony and girlfriend Rachel live in Oregon with 1 wonderful granddog of mine! :D
I work in accounting for the police dept., but my passion is for Women's Ministry - very involved with women in our association and am also site coordinator for the soon-to-be Christian Women's Job Corps.
Weight has been an issue for me for more years than I care to admit - have tried most everything out there, only to get where I am today - at 229 pounds! Right now I am trying to monitor my carbs, AND my calories.
I look forward to getting to know each of you.
Jonathan_d50 10-12-2005, 01:48 AM Hello everyone, Its been a couple of days since I posted last. Just want you all to know that you are all in my prayers!! I really appreciate every ones prayers and encouragement.
Sherri, welcome neighbour!! I too live in Mi, White Lake to be exact! Just around the corner from you!Well ,Praise the Lord, I made it to my first goal!! Weighed in monday at a measley 250!! Now the next step is 220! I cannot believe how much I had to be eating to keep my weight at 275 - 280. Ugh, how humiliating. :rollpin:
Rachel, are any of the Gracies in the UFC? I havent see them in soooo long, I don't know who is even in them any more.
Well, a group of 11 or 12 from my church are getting ready to leave for the Phillipines next week.I am so proud of them, they have raised well over $10,000 in the last five or six months in candy sales and pop bottle drives ! Godhas richly blessed thier labours! Pray for them as they minister to our mission churches and help with several building projects over there. All the funding for the trip and the building supplies has been raised by thier hard work! Not bad for such a small church! God Is Good!!
Well I better close it is getting late I have to get the buildingall closed up for the night.
God Bless you all!!!!

Jonathan_d50 10-12-2005, 09:26 PM Wow ,it is great seeing all the new faces around here! Welcome!!!
Good news, I weighed in this week and am down another lb. That means..... drum roll please, I Get To Start On The Next Part Of My Goal!!!!! Ya Baby,Ya.(I am dancing jig right now, see!......Hey quit with the laughing Gary, I know it don't look pretty, but it does burn them calories!LOL)
Seriously, last night at work I picked up a 25 lb. bag of dog food toput on the shelf when I realized " Wow this is what the weight feels and looks like that I have lost! "I may as well have just tied that sucker to my back and lugged it around24/7. What an object lesson! I think I will repeat it every 5 to10 lbs lost from now on. I was also going through my dresser drawers this last week and found my size 38 jeans and size L golf shirt that I wore 4 1/2 years ago.Now I am in 44 jeans and 2XL shirts. those 2 articles of clothing are now hanging on the bedroom door where I can see them everyday.I will be wearing them again some time this next Feb! Woo-hoo ,being loser is great. Keep up the good work everybody!
Love and prayers.
lateralus98 10-12-2005, 09:33 PM Real quick post --
PLEASE pray for me! I am going on a trip to St. Louis to discern my possible vocation to the religious life!!!! Here is where I am going to go visit: http://www.carmelitedcj.org
I am so excited these sisters seem so awesome!
See ya monday!!!
wilma12 10-13-2005, 09:56 AM It's a really foggy morning here. Hopefully the drive to work will be uneventful. I have only a 10 minute drive so it's not too bad. Things are going really well for me at work right now. I am feeling more and more comfortable in my role as supervisor. It still has its challenges but I feel I'm up to that.
I almost have the top of the quilt pieced together. It's going to look really nice. Dark blues and reds. I am looking forward to doing the stitching. That's my favorite part.
I have maintained my weight since August. I feel very fortunate because sometimes my food choices aren't very good. I have 10 - 15 lbs. more to lose and won't do it if I keep eating that ice cream!! It does feel good to have people notice the weight loss and to feel good in clothes again.
Rachel: My prayers are with you as you make decisions about your future.
Jonathon: You are doing so well! I also have some clothes that were a goal for me to fit into. One was a dress that I could barely get over my head. Now it's a little loose on me. What a feeling! Keep up the great work.
Gary: Your lamenting about your nephew sounds so familiar. My youngest DS was exactly like that. He did graduate and is now in a job he enjoys. He's also thinking about getting into college. There is hope!!
DH and I got free tickets to see out local CFL (Canadian Football League)team play on Sunday. We're looking forward to going. We don't get to go to many games so it'll be fun.
Michele: Glad you made it safe and sound. A massage sounds good about now doesn't it? Take care of yourself.
Sue: A big welcome to you! We hope you find the support you need here. I know I sure do!!
Gotta go brave the fog. Have a great day!
Bobbolink 10-13-2005, 10:18 AM Good Morning Encouragers!
I joined the 3 Chicks in August '05 and found most sites too big to fit in. I've just spent the past hour checking out this site and profiles. I think I love you all! My hubby just retired this September and he wants to go shopping so I'll check in with everyone later, O.K.?
Bobbi
doitforme 10-13-2005, 04:15 PM I am doing great! Still raining, but could be worse, could be snowing. I am off today. My sister and her family are taking my niece (kristie) out to check out Cederville college so my mom/Dad have my niece Kaylee (china doll) for the weekend. I am working days tom. then going home overnight so I can spend some time with her should be fun.
Mitchy- so happy you arrived safely and prayers your soon feeling great and able to enjoy being home.
Mom to 5- You are doing great down another lb, Cool how the Lord works things out when we let Him .
:welcome: Sue- you sound like a very busy women, I can relate with that. Does this Women's Ministry help other find jobs! or provide that plus other assistance?Johnathan- WOW! Great Job ! down 26 lbs. You are doing awesome. Your little church did great, $10,000 is alot to raise, there is so much work to be done, our little church sent a group 2 years ago to Ghana, but those that went raised there own money the church helped send 2 large containers of food, and different articles.
:welcome: to Penny/mac and Sherie and bobbi glad you joined, the more the merrier.
E.Z. Hey! keep sending it , its alond ways from California to New York, gotta cross over those mountains and its picking up lots of water. I went to Cozumel, Grand Caymans, Ocho Rios, and had a wonderful time as well. Thanks for the prayers, she is suppose to be gaining in alertness, so sounds like she is doing a litlle better. Going to try to post a new pic of our niece, she is too cute in a sailor suit. Your Nephew is lucky to have you to help guide him along the way, he had a rough road for awhile.
Lateralus- Serving the Lord is what should be 1st in our lives, and often it is placed down the list, and plays second fiddle to something else. Pray all goes well with school.
Hi to all I missed! Sunny hope you and Joe are enjoying that vacation as well. Will try to post that pic. see ya!
doitforme 10-13-2005, 04:40 PM Here it is! Isn't she cute, of course then I am biased!
mom2fivesweeties 10-13-2005, 07:11 PM HI EVERYONE!
How's everyone doing on this beautiful fall Thursday afternoon? Went to LAWL today and am down another 2.4 pounds! :cb: :dancer: Thank-you God! I have so many people praying for me to do this right this time! A few more pounds and I'll never see the 300's again! \O/
SUE: Kaylee is a DOLL! Isn't adoption awesome?? Of course, I'm biased too! I'd love to post a pic of my babies - how do you do that though?
BOBBI: :welcome: I joined this group a few months ago and just love them! This is the kindest bunch of people you will meet on the internet, believe me! I am Lori and my DH is Bob - been married 28 years and dated 5 years before that! We grew up together. Our kids are Mike (19), my only biological miracle. Abbi and Chelsi are 9 and were adopted from India. AJ is 8 and Chris is 7 and were adopted from Calif. I have over 100 pounds to lose and just joined LAWL in Sept. Lost around 12-13 pounds so far!! I'm excited!
WILMA: Hope the fog didn't cause you any problems! I'm in a fog most days, but NOT due to the weather!
RACHEL: Keep us posted on your STL trip! You will be right across the river from me!
JONATHAN: Congrats on the great weight loss! I know what you mean about looking at dog food or whatever and thinking about how much we carry around - or used to carry around. When I get to my goal I will have lost 145 pounds. NO WONDER my knees are shot!!
GARY: Thanks for prayers for the kids - our school district is so awesome. They are working with AJ on his issues and are actually going to meet with our whole family from time to time - they already work with Chelsi on a cognitive and behavioral basis due to her brain damage -
SEW4LIFE: :wel3fc: You will love it here!!
MICHELE: Welcome Home! Glad you made it safe and sound!
Hi to all you other chickies out there! Have a great evening!!
:dancer: :ebike: :tread:
doitforme 10-13-2005, 09:27 PM I would love to see all your sweeties too, awesome 2.5 more pounds way to
go. I have a hewlette packard which came with hp photo center and I have a program called acdsee photo which lets me adjust to right size than I just add as attachment on bottom. I know some people here use photo bucket.
The big thing is the size of the photo. Try it and see if there is a problem someone who uses photo bucket may be able to help. Its weird since I was with her the first two weeks in China before she got home to the rest of her family as it was just me and my sister that went to China, that she'll always be special but then all my nieces and nephews hold their own special place.
See ya later, give it a try.
sew4life 10-13-2005, 11:07 PM I have been trying to catch up on the messages here - it's the best way I know how to get to know each of you. It may take me awhile, though, so forgive me!
Thanks so much for the welcomes - I laughed at the "sewing Sue" one - couldn't figure out who that was until I realized it's me! "sew" are really my inititials, but I also love to quilt! So "sewing Sue" works for me.
So much is happening in each of your lives - please know I do pray as the requests are made.
In a nutshell, Christian Women's Job Corps equips women for life and employment. We just wrote our vision and mission statements and are in the process of writing policy and procedures. Soon we will be training mentors, and hope to be serving clients by June 1st. God is certainly in the details of this ministry, and we are excited to see what He has planned in the Las Vegas area.
I remember one of you is from Minnesota - whereabouts? I have LOTS of family in Minnesota.
We are heading to Arizona tomorrow with my Dad and Mom, 80 and 77 respectively. I look forward to spending as much time with them as we can. They just live 3 miles from us, so it is quite handy for us to help them out whenever they ask. (Getting them to ask isn't always easy, though!)
Congratulations to all on the weight maintenance and losses. Isn't this the pits? 30 years ago I would never have thought I would be going thru this!
mom2fivesweeties 10-14-2005, 12:02 AM Sue -
I tried the attachment thingy and it brought up my photos with no problem -
But..........they are too big and I have no clue how to make them smaller?
Can anybody help me to make my photos 50 kb or smaller?
THANKS!
Mitchypoo 10-14-2005, 02:07 AM Hi Sue,
I was from MN but i just moved back to CA this week. I lived in Shakopee. Familiar with that town? It was nice there, but i wasn't happy. Too isolated and I missed my family here.
Hello to all. Just checking in before i get to sleep.
Mitchypoo 10-14-2005, 02:25 AM Lori, SunnyD is the expert on this stuff, but if you have a photo program try to look up how to resize a picture. Resize to 360x480 or just make it smaller and then save and then attach. If you use photobucket you can resize there. There are many options. I hope i'm not confusing you.
EZMONEY 10-14-2005, 07:55 PM AUNT SUE~
;) OH MY GOODNESS ARE WE IN TROUBLE!! ;) I AM GOING TO HAVE TO START SAVING MY $$$$$$$$$$$ FOR A SHOTGUN AND SHOOTING LESSONS FOR WHEN KAYLEE STARTS DATING!!
Mitchypoo 10-14-2005, 09:48 PM No kidding, she is a beautiful girl! How exciting it must be to have her in your family.
We are kind of celebrating my brother's birthday today, it was the 11th, but he came home today, just opened his presents and we're having a chocolate bday cake. I'm making the frosting now... and yes, i'm eating cake.
I've spent most of the day in bed with a bad back and really swollen ankles and feet. My friend reminded me about my mom's cure of parsley tea, i told her and she forgot too, but made me some and i'm already improving. You just take a bunch of parsley and boil the heck out of it, strain and drink. It really makes you go... ;) but i think it's helping.
I was suppose to go see the Late Late Show taped with Craig Ferguson this afternoon but we didn't go because of me. Another time. Here's a pic of my dear sweet mamacita and my baby Simba on our trip.

EZMONEY 10-16-2005, 01:33 AM Usc Wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All Is Good!
mom2fivesweeties 10-16-2005, 09:14 PM Hi Everyone!
It's so quiet on here this weekend! Our weekend was pretty non-eventful. Mike went to Six Flags Fright Night on Fri. night with the girlfriend - Not something I would like, but you know 19 year old boys - sigh - they said it was pretty cool. I put a bunch of clothes on ebay today. Some of the kids coats and stuff that were too small. AND some of my clothes that are too big! I can't believe that the small amount I've lost makes a difference in clothes, but it has already!
MICHELE: Your mom looks so sweet! No wonder you missed her! I'm glad you are home! And Simba is a doll baby! How old is she? We have 3 fur babies and I'd love for you all to see them, but alas - I cannot get my pictures to shrink! I've tried two different programs! :?:
GARY: Well, glad USC won - I don't follow too much sports - although I've been a St. Louis Cardinal fan for 50 years and they are doing terrible with the Astros - :( Not sure what their deal is!!
Hope everyone is doing good! Have a great week!
:jig: :cb:
Mitchypoo 10-17-2005, 01:05 AM Hi Lori,
Yes, my mamacita is the best, she truly is and we really did have fun on the trip. We have a few more things to roar in laughter about that nobody else seems to "get". And my baby Simba is 13 years old or 91 in dog years, but she's doing really well and not showing her age too much. She loves it here in CA, but the house in bigger and she always wants to see me, so she's under my parents feet and it gets irritating, so she's finding her way.
Things are well here. This week has lots in store. Hoping to find a job.
klemmie 10-17-2005, 10:00 AM I weighed in on Saturday and was glad that after my "bad" week and a half there was no more damage done. I stayed at 170! I was so worried that I had really blown it and would gain but am thankful that I did not. :D So on to another week on the "beach" (south beach that is!) and with the Lord's help I am determined to make good choices all week. :goodscale Thanks for everyone's prayers and thoughts and the welcoming  I received last week. It is great to be part of the group! :grouphug:
Have a great week and I will be talking to you again.
Sherie
doitforme 10-17-2005, 11:55 AM Gotta run to catch up on my devotions as way behind again, been so busy what's new.
E.Z.- Isn't she a cutie! I agree- daddy will have his hands full
Mitchy- Thanks as well, she makes everyone youthfull again, can't wait till Christmas this year, as always more fun through a child's eyes. My prayers that your soon feeling so much better- hope the tea works what a great pic of mom, I love spending time with my mom and dad and they are two of my best friends, as they always have my best interests at heart. Glad you 'll be able to share more with yours as it is so inportant. I attached another pic of my my two nieces together. Both cute! I am biased though
mom2fivesweeties 10-17-2005, 02:38 PM Good Morning!
MICHELE: Can I use your "Thank you Jesus" banner? I know without Him helping me, I'd never get this weight off - it's SO daunting.
SUE & MICHELE: I know what you mean about being close to your mom and parents - my parents adopted me at 3 months and honestly, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank God for them. Mom and I talk 3 times a day - no kidding! - and I wouldn't have it any other way - they live 90 miles away so we only see them once a week or so, but I treasure them so much!
I joined photobucket and reduced the pictures! :cp: But now the attachment thingy on here is saying that it's not a valid tag # - SIGH - what to do now???
SHERIE: Glad you stayed the same - sometimes that's the most we can hope for isn't it??
WHERE IS EVERYONE??? Front and Center! This means YOU!!!
Have a great day everyone!!
Mitchypoo 10-17-2005, 02:49 PM Lori, you are welcome to take the Jesus Blinkie, just save to your hard drive and/or photobucket and then link to your signature. And about your pics, when you copy from photobucket, take the one that has a [img] in front, that's the one to use on 3fc. Make sense? Oh, also the pic should be saved as a bmp or jpg that might be the problem.
I made beef stroganoff last night for the family from scratch. It was yummy. Want the recipe, pm me and i'll give you the link. Don't want to get in trouble here.
mnewton2 10-17-2005, 05:44 PM  Oh my goodness it has been so long since I have posted!!! I have been so busy lately it was just so overwhelming for a moment. My job has kept me very busy. :dizzy: It is nothing like the summer program. We have started the school year here at the center and we have some very "colorful" students here. I have plenty of stories to tell but will sum it up with weekly we have at least 5 cop cars here, drug dealers in the center, and gang bangers. :yikes: I do believe the Lord has put me here to get through to the students. I have seen His work at hand through me and I know that I am in the right place at the right time.
Update on Channon: She is doing very well!! They thought they were going to have to go in and do another brain surgery because they thought she had another tumor, but praise God it was only scar tissue and it was absorb on its own. She is definitely our little miracle.
My husband got a new job!!! He was laid off for the summer but now he has a new job that we have been praying for for the last 8 months. He will start on Monday!! PTL!!!! :cheer:
It is going to take some time for me to catch with all of you so I just wanted stop in and say hi to you all!! I have missed you all!!!
I will check in later!

:dizzy: :spin:
wilma12 10-18-2005, 12:51 AM We bit the bullet and bought a new computer this weekend. Staples had a really good deal so we went for it. DS is quite jealous of my new 17 inch flat screen monitor. I am loving it and how fast it works.
I've been reading the posts here and have had you in my prayers! It's great to see that there's weight being lost.
Myisha: It's so good to see you again. I've missed your posts. It sounds like you have a very challenging job. Praise God for Channon's recovery. It's so neat to witness a miracle like that.
Lori: What a nice family you have. I wish the pics had been a bit larger so I could get a better look at them.
Michele: I love stroganoff. I made it a couple of weeks ago too and the family loved it. Makes great leftovers too!
I better head off to bed. Another day of work tomorrow. It just doesn't let up around here.
Good night!
mom2fivesweeties 10-18-2005, 12:54 AM http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a173/mom2fivesweeties/STLZoo7.jpg
This one should be bigger -
They are at the St. Louis Zoo!
wilma12 10-18-2005, 09:55 AM Lori, What beautiful children!! How close in age are they?
Penny Mac 10-18-2005, 10:21 AM Hello, It's been about a week since I was able to gt in here. I do publicity for two groups, and both have been busy. I am redoing all the flyers, posters, and handouts.
Wow! all the babies look so beautiful. :) We have no grandchildren, and all the neices and nephews except one are adults. Our daughter has been divorced for about a year and a half and is not looking, just tryuing to finish school.
We are having sun for a change, and we go from the A/C to the furnace, all in the same day. Did anyone see the big moon for the last two nights? It was so bright, the moon light coming through the bedroom window woke me up. God's creation is truely wonderful.
Congrats on the weight lost everyone. :ballons: I am the same as last week  but at least i'm not gaining. We got the nestles' cookbook magazine in the mail yesterday, we get it every quarter, and last night we sat and drooled over the receipes :nono: Our daughter is also on 3FC, in another room.
My husband's bithhday is next week, and I am thinkin about baking him a pumpkin pie. With Splenda, I can make a dessert about once a month, besides, sugar free jello or yougurt : rolleyes:
Thursday, I'm going downtown to work at a science fair. One of the boards I'm on raises money for academic science schlorships for summer Science Camps. We have a science museum in Toledo and we will be there to promote science and environmental concerns.
I haven't been to the gym for a couple of weeks, too sore and in pain, but |
