View Full Version : Favorite Frozen Meals?? J.J.'s Grandma 02-26-2001, 09:51 AM How about some recommendations for quick and easy frozen meals? Do you have any favorites? I hate cooking! 2BFIT1 02-26-2001, 10:01 AM I like to microwave the Smart Choice Santa Fe Rice and Beans and put it over a salad. You can even add alittle salsa and ff sour cream with some guiltless gormet chips for a great taco salad. I also like to make soups and stews and freeze in 1-2 serving containers for a quick meal with a salad. MelissaL 02-26-2001, 08:53 PM Lean Cuisine has a great Sante Fe Style Rice & Beans as well. I also like the Spicy Penne Pasta (Smart Ones) and the Angel Hair Pasta (Smart Ones). I pair these up with a salad and I have a nice balanced meal. Melissa Kelly_S 02-26-2001, 09:45 PM I have a whole list of recipes I use to make my own. If you'd like them just e-mail me cowgirl_up_today@hotmail.com Sorry I fixed my e-mail. Thanks Genarosa! This is really good.....crispy vegetables, real chicken meat, great sauce and perfect linguine. Try it.....it is so worth it. ------------------ Work like you don't need the money; love like you've never been hurt; and dance like no one is watching. Ginaki 02-27-2001, 01:44 AM I find that Lean Cuisine has many good entrees and when you supplement either with added vegetables and/or salad is a substantial meal. The Smart Ones and Healthy Choice are o.k., but I like the LC best. ------------------ Ginaki 195/151-1/2/150/145 Tara 02-27-2001, 04:25 AM My favorites are: WW Meat Lasagna - 5pts (or is it 6??) WW Mac and Cheese - 6pts WW Pizza - 8-9pts LC Chicken Enchilada - 6pts I used to like Lean Cuisine more - but their sauce changed or something - so I don't buy their stuff anymore. Just the chicken enchilada. Its so good! Tara :) ------------------ tarlette@aol.com Failure is not falling down, failure is staying down! J.J.'s Grandma 02-27-2001, 05:41 AM I love mexican salads. I will definately give the Santa Fe rice and beans a try. I've never made homemade soup before but making it ahead and dividing into small portions sounds like a good idea. I am already making my grocery list. I can't wait to try out all of these suggestions. Thanks. Garfield 02-27-2001, 07:55 AM Lean Cuisine Stuffed Cabbage with Mashed Potatoes - It's only 4 points and sooo tastey. Where else can you get a polish like dish in a low-fat frozen entree? Guess that's why I like this particular one. Also, I noticed, Lean Cuisine makes the best mashed potatoes for a low-cal product. Some one mentioned the Weight Watchers Pizzas- They are excellant. Big and very satsifying. Not all that easy to find anymore. wrapper 02-27-2001, 10:09 AM Hi, If you have Trader Joe's nearby you can get many yummy frozen meals that are low in points. My favorites are the Roasted Vegetable Enchiladas(5pts), and the Green Tomatillo Soy Enchiladas(4pts). Give them a try! Chris ChrisNJakesMom 02-27-2001, 10:05 PM That LC cabbage roll w/ mashed potatoes is sooo good! I couldn't believe it was only 4 points :) Other than that one, I really don't have any favorites. I just don't like the Healthy Choice any more. Kelly_S 02-28-2001, 03:59 AM Ok I corrected my e-mail addy so please if you tried and it was returned try again. cowgirl_up_today@hotmail.com Itsanewyear 03-02-2001, 01:52 AM WW makes a Chicken Mirabella that is only 3 points. Sometimes I double that up (for a total of 6 points) and have a salad. It is a HUGE meal - one even I have trouble finishing. I also like WW - Spicy Schewan(sp?)Chicken and their Roasted Beef Tips in mustard sauce with garlic herbed mashed potatoes. Both of them have a lot of flavor, which I find a lot of others lacking in. In fact I just finished a lean cuisine meal of swedish meatballs and sprinkeled pepper all over it to give it some taste. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
