A Servant's Prayer
Jesus, MY Jesus... How marvelous your ways...
Far more splendid than my mind can envision. What an
honor to be chosen by you. A lowly child I am, but empowered
by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the great hope to which you have
called me. I give myself totally to you, Lord. Take my imperfect
heart and make it perfect. Peel away the hardness. Close the doors
I have opened to the temptations of this world. Gently remove the
roots of painful memories, sins, doubts and fears. Discard anything
that separates me from you. Lord, fill the emptiness with the light of
your love that I might be a beacon calling the lost back to you.
To love as you love...
To serve as you serve...
To heal as you heal...
To forgive as you forgive...
always mindful of my nothingness while doing
great and marvelous things in you name and for
you glory. This I pray, Jesus, in YOUR name.
Amen

Christalynn 02-15-2005, 11:54 AM Hello All,
I just wanted to let you know how my moms appointment went yesterday. Doctor said there are no traces of Cancer cells and the side effects she is having will eventually work themselves out of her system.
Mitchypoo 02-15-2005, 12:06 PM Christina!! Woohoo  that is excellent news!!!! I bet your mom is so relieved. I'll pray for continued healing for her re: the side effects. You know, my mom is a breast-cancer survivor and she had chemo and radiation. That was over 10 years ago now. So it is possible.
p.s. Who's the cutie? ;)
EZMONEY 02-15-2005, 01:41 PM HI GALS
Had a short day at work today, my son and I are going down to my daughter's tennis match. A beautiful sunny day here today```quite a switch from earlier this week, there is more rain expected the rest of the week though``could complain...but no one cares ;)
Had a nice Valentine's Day, I got off a little early and Angie was off for Lincoln's birthday...I got her a Golden Retreiver coffee mug and the DVD of Bull Durham...did all my shopping at Ralph's Grocery store  I told her not to get me anything because we really need to tighten the belts with 2 house payments coming up..she got a card and wrote something in it..ah..I can't share...sorry ;)
SUE So good to have you back! The house in Washington is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath...2,021 I think...we have added on a little to the original plans so I am not quite sure yet...it is in a planned community with 2 parks and over 3 miles of walking trails...I hope to remember to bring the camera this week-end, if I do I will post some up-date pictures of the progress. Stay warm!
SPROUT Cute puppy!! Bet your daughter just adores it!! Humm, could be a new walking companion ;)
MICHELE Hope the Valentine Card was "wanted" from Rick....John sounds shy, then again maybe he is just taking it slow. All will work out. Congrats on the no gain!! Christina's picture looks like the rocker on LOST.
WILMA You are tooooooooo funny
Didn't I ever mention that I was MARRIED? What colors and style will WE be picking? Kidding right? ;) Oh, Angie ALWAYS asks for my input...where she PUTS my input I have NO :chin:  IDEA ;)
I take lipitor for my cholestrol and it really helps, doc says diet and exercise wouldn't change my high cholestrol enough to matter...it is in control as of last check...have one coming up though, whenever I give blood...every couple of months, they say my blood pressure is outstanding..of course I can never remember what it is 'cause my memory is not even close to being outstanding
CHRISTINA Congrats on your mom's news!
WELL I HOPE EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING WELL ANS JUST TOO BUSY TO POST!

You are loved....God loves you more than anything in this world or universe, you have loving family and friends and a man who wants to love you. You are worthy and the light in a lot of people's lives. You want to help people and that is a good quality. You want to give of yourself and you should know that you receive what you give. When you are having a hard time, not knowing how to cope, know that you are not alone, never alone. God is always with you, no matter what you think or how you feel. He's there to support and lift you up. Love yourself because of how you love others.
Love,
Me
From me. Teel, in case you had all forgotten! I am sorry for my lack of posting. I have recently hidden myself away for various reasons. Get a mug of coffee ready and I will endeavor to explain.. .
As you probably might recall, over the last few weeks I have felt so, so exhausted I have found it very difficult, impossible sometimes, to stay awake long enough to even get out of bed. And I mean I was asleep, not just hiding under the duvet all day and all night too!.
Last Wednesday I went to my Diabetic outpatient's clinic and to my releif the Diabetes is doing remarkably well...for those in the know my HbA1c was 6.1.However my weight had gone up about 7lb since my last visit a year ago (jolly good job I had lost a bit before the visit!!) Anyway the clinic doctor, whom I had never seen before, said she had looked at my latest blood test results of a week previous)and was concerned that my liver was showing signs of stress and she didn't understand why, especially as my Diabetes seems to be well controlled at the moment. I should say that I have a bichemistry level blood test done every 3 weeks to check on the status of my heart seeing as I am on so many tablets to keep it from failing more. So she wrote out another blood test form to see how things were going and she is going to write to my cardiologist. So off I went home feeling rather delated after my wonderful HbA1c.(It's never been that good!)On getting through the front door I found a letter from my G.P. saying he had reviewed my latest blood results and had found "a mild abnormality" and please could I drop in and see him. So on Friday morning off I went and as I got through the door I confessed I had prewarning of his letter and explained about the Diabetes appointment. He said" well I am now confused because I was writing to you because I am concerned about your KIDNEYS!!" So. He added a few more tests to the blood form and told me to have the bloods taken a week early which means I have them done tomorrow. He said the creatinin levels have been gradually creeping up since October which makes me really mad because I have been in hospital since then so why couldn't they sort it out then, whilst I was in for 19 days???! So in the meantime I feel so so so tired that on Friday and over the weekend I have slept and slept and completely lost my appetite over the last couple of weeks. This is borne out by my losing 5lb the week before last and 3lb last week.Ok that's great for weight loss but not good for the general health side of things. And I have been very low in mood and burst in to tears when ever anyone has rung me on the telephone I just feel as though its one thing after the other. It's not a good time of year for me after Christmas and I feel as if I am being dumped on and dumped on again even before the first heap has been cleared away!!
I am very sorry for my absence. I have lurked in from time to time and gone away again or lost my post!! Thank you all for your enquiring posts and thoughts. And a big [[[[[HUG]]]]] to Linus for ringing me and keeping me up to date and for just caring! Oh drat. Gonna get all tearful again...
I shall be off now and catch up on lots of postings! And I will try and not leave it so long before next time!

Ooooh what a drop-dead-gorgeous West Highland White Terrier puppy you have there, Sprout! It SO reminds me of my Westie, Holly. I had her when she was all of 9 weeks old and fell in love with her immediately! She is such a bundle of mischievous, joyfull white fluff! Although she will be 8 yrs old on February22nd she has kept all of her puppy ways and goes and rummages around in her toy box and brings out the one she wants! I have to laugh at her sifting through the others to the bottom and finally plucking the one she wants out like a plum!!! :lol3: She has never learnt to tolerate cats or the postman who thankfully turns round and smiles at her as she hurls herself at the ceiling to floor window barking like some mad thing! Sometimes she barks so hard and is in such a frenzy she literally lifts herself off her feet! :lol3: It is so funny to watch. She is great company though, and I am afraid to admit I have let her store up some very bad habits over the years and she cuddles down with me at night...sometimes on the top but also UNDER the duvet if she is wanting a special cuddle!!
Oh Sprout, enjoy her all you can and I know the love will be totally rreciprocated!! :cloud9:
doitforme 02-16-2005, 05:42 PM I am going to try to copy marny's post from old thread to this one, it was put on old one, and no one will see it there. hope it works
fat is the enemy

Fat is the enemy. We have declared war, and it takes every ounce of strength we have to wage the battle. Yet, it is a battle well worth fighting. We sometimes need to look at fat as an enemy. We need to think of it as evil, in order to stay serious about battling it. If we allow ourselves to believe that it is anything less than evil, we stand in danger of learning to live with it. That can never be. It is an effrontery to the Christian life to allow evil to overcome that which is good. Rather, let us always strive to overcome what is evil with what is good.
Today's thought: I will not rest until the enemy has been eradicated!
I've been trying to grapple with my weight my whole life it seems. It has been a struggle even when I've been able to set the rest of my life in order and on God's path. I have recently been investigating the sin of gluttony. I never thought about it much before, and I wasn't even really sure what it was. I never hear about it in church, and no one talks about it. So, I did a search on the web. I found a lot of information. Much of it was from sermons at churches that I guess are brave enough to talk about it.
Gluttony is the act of overdoing something to the point that you look to it for comfort and needs fullfilled rather than God. It could refer to food or cars or clothes or whatever. But, the food image makes a lot of sense in my life. I do turn to food to make me feel better when I should be turning to God. I do over eat to the point of not being healthy. I've cared more about eating than taking care of this body that was given to me to care for and house the Holy Spirit. I have not been thankful to God for the food that He provides--I haven't given thanks for it, nor have I even thought about the idea that I'm fortunate to have it. I just take it for granted and shovel it in.
Right here in my own body, I've allowed Satan to have control. No more. I now pray for forgiveness for this sin, and the help, strength, and motivation to change it. I feel empowered by this. I feel like I now know why it has been so hard to defeat my fat...I didn't have a clear view of the enemy.
This is new to me. It was a shock to realize that I was sinning in this way and didn't even know it. Usually, I know when I'm turning my back on God.
I would appreciate your prayers for me. Even with God's help, it's hard to change a lifelong habit.
Thanks,
Marny
doitforme 02-16-2005, 05:52 PM It worked, yeah, thought I might have to get sunny to do it. But figured it out. Marny- I do believe gluttony is a sin, and it is one of the footholds that we allow the devil to take, without much concern unfortunately.
Mitchy- enjoyed your post it is so true
Teel- sorry thinks are not going well, will keep you in prayer that they are able to pin point what is wrong and get you back to feeling like your old self. Your puppy sounds like a lot of fun. Off to youth group. Oh, I weighed in today and I lost 4 lbs to finally which was so much nicer than seeing no loss again. It is funny how much difference a day can make. See ya!
Welcome Marny!!!! Please come and share about yourself. Hobbies, etc.
Michele...The John thing...I don't think you scared him off. I remember 7 years ago when I received a valentine from someone I wasn't even dating...I ended up marrying him. I think you did a very sweet thing. Hey...not going up is awesome. I really need to get a grip.
EZ...I can't wait to see the pics of the house.
Christalynn...AMEN...PRAISE GOD...OUR HEALER! I am very happy about mom's news.
sprout...put me on the list of puppy owner wanna bes.
Hey, Nikki is starting to get wider. :sp: We thought we felt puppies last night. She would be due in 2.5 weeks. Since she's a large breed dog and being first litter, she may not show too much right now.
Sunny...How's it goin? I just love the Winnie the Pooh pic.
Teel...Gosh, you will be in my prayers. I wish I could give you a huge hug...a minute long hug. Keep sweet!
craftymom- Yeah!!! keep up the good work.
Crystalynn...I got the sizes you lost  I'm so proud.
Ok, everyone as my witness...tomorrow...Thursday...even though is lunch in at work...I will up my water to 3 bottles (it's at 0 now). I will eat an entree' (weight watchers) for lunch and ABSOUTELY NOTHING SWEET! I will stick real close to the SB diet for tomorrow...maybe I can get a jump start on myself.
Thank you everyone for just being here for all of us!
sprout 02-16-2005, 09:20 PM Teel, just read your post - our pup Koko is not a West Highland White Terrier - he is a Maltese / Poodle cross - and is white.
Must say I had forgotton what a pup is like - whines terrible if we crate him at night so guess where hubby has decided the pup should sleep - yup your right - between us. Funny thing is hubby got the pup for me for my birthday as I had mentioned I would like a very little one - but think hubby has taken a great liken to this pup - and the pup jumps all over hubby - especially when he is putting on his coat and shoes to go outside. But when it comes to sleeping - guess where he is at - yup, all snuggled up against me - seems to love the neck area for starts and then wiggles his way under the blankets but stays very close.
Hubby built a little pen outside for him - 3 x 6 - just big enough so that I can put him out to do his business and then catch him to bring him back in. When we are both home during the day we stay outside with him letting him have free run of the back yard - after about 15 minutes he wants in to sleep - and sleep he does after all that fresh air.
Got him last Friday and we notice a change in him already - getting thicker hair and it is getting longer - and he is really trying to be the 'boss' of the house - getting into the bathroom and trying to remove all the garbage bringing it out to us in the kitchen - or bringing out the laundrey from the basket.
Tonight he figured how to stand up and look on the top of the coffee table - and whined because Priscilla ( our daughter ) would not share her potatoes with him.
We are having fun with him, but can see that we have a lot of work ahead of ourselves to get him properly 'trained' - doesn't mind his collar but won't have anything to do with the lease, when he sees the leash being attached, he sits and doesn't move - mind you he is only 2 pounds so it is not hard to move him.
We have had so many comments from people around town about him - his white long curly hair, little black eyes, with curls around them and his little nose - everyone is falling in love with him. He is now 2 months, 6 days old - will be interesting to see what he looks like in a month when more hair has come in - and to see just how much more he will grow. He was the runt of the litter so we don't expect him to be all that big - breeder thinks he will maybe get up to 5 pounds and no more than 6 - 8 inches tall - so he is a small one for sure - and looking at his feet we feel she is going to be quite on her perdiction.
Going to take him to the vet tomorrow for his first visit - has already had his first shot, but just want the vet to check him over - then next month he will have his next one.
Weight wise: really trying to work on this. Have lost 2 pounds since Jan 24 and am looking forward to another loss this week of min. 1 pound but would lilke this week it to be 1.5. Have made some changes in my program: working on getting in water - am not up to 3 bottles (6 glasses) per day and will be looking at increasing it to 4 bottles in the next week or so. Also have added tossed salads to lunch rather than sandwiches. Small changes = reward will be healthier body.
EZMONEY 02-16-2005, 10:06 PM HI LADIES
Thought I would check in while I wait for Ron's tennis lesson to get over...I am balancing dinner tonight..usually Angie's night to cook but she had to give blood then go to monthly BUNKO...so me and the boys are having hot dogs..Angie will be so mad she didn't get any ;) :nono: She actually came home and threw together a salad..tonights BUNKO menu was "RED & HOT" so bought an already made mix, threw in some avocado, spinach and cranberries (for the red) then had some spicy chicken pieces already cooked she threw in.
Had the day off today...didn't really want it ..$$$$...but work is slow right now. Took the dogs up to the park and they ran me for an hour..WE are so tired!! Angie and I are entered in a 3 mile dog walk/run middle of March...the girls will be ready...not sure if I will :o
SPROUT Great pictures of KOKO...your husband is such a weenie! So glad I am not at all like that...   ...Angie gets so mad when I let ours get on my lap in the recliner...especially since they weigh 60 lbs...sometimes they both get up there...I am such a sucker..We crate ours in the gym at night, they love it...When Rylee was "new" she used to cry when we put her in it, the crate was in the dining room...well actually she screamed like an ape!!...we put the crate in our bedroom and put her down when we went to bed..no more tears. When we got Reba we crated them seperate but both in the gym..no problems since they go together and are not lonely. We have disks that I warm up for them to lay by..as soon as the second one dings on the microwave Reba heads down to the gym..and as soon as I open the cookie box (they get a bedtime snack) Rylee heads down.
MKAY Are you sure you want more dogs  Just in case they don't sell  RYLEE ate about half of the screen door on the family room yesterday! And with Reba...well, let's just say NO SHOE IS SAFE ;) I won't even discuss the mud tracked in :nono: How are things with DH? Prayers.
TEEL So glad to see you back, but concerned about your health. I will send up many prayers for you. I am so glad that you are getting medical attention though, so many can't...or won't. Prayers.
SUE Hope shopping went well, have a great time with the youth...want me to send my knucklehead nephew your way ;)
MICHELE I read the Vikings may get a new owner...how is the town taking that news?
Gotta jam....Gary
wilma12 02-17-2005, 10:15 AM I woke up to a -29C temperature this morning. FRIGID! I wish I could stay home and read a book or something. The up side is that it's clear and sunny.
It sounds like everyone is doing great with their weight loss. I've been trying to eat properly so hopefully I'll be able to post some results soon too.
Michele: I think not gaining is just as good as losing. Sometimes our bodies need a rest in between too. You're doing great.
Teel: So glad to hear from you. My prayers are with you and your health problems.
Gary: My guys would love your meal. Tonight's GET YOUR OWN night. I work til six and then plan to stop and pick up some fruit on my way home.
AND...surely you get some input in decorating your house don't you? I listen to my DH when it comes to decorating.  BTW, we did compromise on what color our red wall should be and it looks great!
Sprout: You are going to have so much fun with your pup. It sounds like he's already taken over!!
mkay: How's the water drinking coming? I try to get some down at work but forget when it gets really busy.
Marny: Welcome! Tell us a bit more about yourself!
have a great day!
EZMONEY 02-17-2005, 12:12 PM HI GALS
Off work again today..well kinda, I should clean house a little before our trip to Washington on Saturday. Yesterday I did tons of laundry...OK, 2 loads but it felt like tons...it isn't easy getting out of my recliner when the buzzer goes off...especially after those dogs walked/ran my legs off at the park.
Have a roast going in the crock-pot for dinner, will have gravy to go over noodles.
WILMA Are you kidding me? People ACTUALLY go outside when it is 29 below? and LIVE!!!??? Oh yea, I do get input on colors/design of the new house...sure...right...of course ;) Stay warm!! It is supposed to be low 50's in the day and 20's at night where we are going this week-end in Washington..don't believe..in fact I know I have never seen temps in the 20's!! and that is ABOVE!!
Well SURVIVOR starts again tonight..I know some of you watch it to...got me thinking what Angie and I watch...here is our top ten...

"Godhelp"
Read:
Psalm 32
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. —Psalm 32:1
Bible In One Year: Numbers 1-3
A man arrested for the murder of a 12-year-old girl was also suspected of other killings. When police searched his computer, they found a file labeled "My Sins," but it couldn't be opened because it was protected with a password. A computer expert went to work using software to break the code. After 16 hours and billions of combinations, he found this password: "Godhelp." The file detailed six brutal crimes, including rape and murder.
I wonder if that man had created the file and its unique password because of the overwhelming burden of guilt for what he had done. Perhaps he knew that only God could help him deal with the enormity of his crimes.
We all have past sins that weigh us down. We may feel as David did when he wrote that God's hand was heavy upon him day and night and that his "vitality was turned into the drought of summer" (Psalm 32:4). Yet relief can come. David said, "I acknowledged my sin to You . . . . I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,' and You forgave the iniquity of my sin" (v.5).
The miracle of God's forgiveness does not remove the consequences of our sins. But when we confess our sins to Him, He will forgive us and cleanse us (1 John 1:9). His mercy and help are sure. —David McCasland
Lord, give me courage to confess,
To bare my sinful heart to Thee;
Thy full forgiveness I would know
And from this weight of guilt be free. —D. De Haan
When God forgives, He removes the sin and restores the sinner.
doitforme 02-17-2005, 03:27 PM M-Kay- Bet you did a good job stasying op today
Sprout- CONGRATS ON THE 2 LB LOSS, love the pics of the pup she is so cute.
E.Z.- I would welcome your nephew we would have him singing and acting in no time, how is he doing by the way?
Wilma- wow I'll stop complaining we were 24 degrees F I know there is a formula to convert F to C but can't remember. But I for one can't wait for summer.
I am off today so going to get some work done around here, Going to watch my niece cheer to tom. She is captain of the squad and I have had to work all of her games so haven't seen them this year. So that will be fun. Catch ya later.
marny 02-17-2005, 04:33 PM Thanks for the warm welcome. A couple of you asked for a little info about me. So, here goes:
I love Jesus
I love my wonderful husband and beautiful 3 year old daughter.
I'm 33, and mainly a mom.
I take a computer programming class each semester for fun.
Before I had my daughter I was a 7th grade history teacher.
I live in Folsom, California.
My family attends Lakeside Church.
I like to read, work and play on the computer, and spend time with my family.
I've recently been able to admit my sin of gluttony, and with God's help I am overcoming this sin.
I don't like exercising.
I like to laugh, and often find myself being the only one laughing...can be awkward at times!
I appreciate this forum and having a place to find support and fellowship. I will be praying for all of you.
Marny
PS. Here's a picture of me and my little love.
sprout 02-18-2005, 12:34 AM Koko is sitting on an old cushion from an old couch that the kids use for sitting on the floor - isn't he cute

doitforme 02-18-2005, 09:56 AM What a beautiful sunny day outside. I am off today last day off till next wed. I am going grocery shopping and then home to see my niece cheer.
Marny- welcome, it is nice to see a picture of you and your beautiful little angel. Hope to see you hang out and post and let us know how your doing. There is alot of support here and friendly people. Sprout- some more cute pics, the pup is tiny taking up only half a box. Keep posting so we can see her grow. Catch ya all later. See ya!
Sprout those pictures of Koko are truly lovely. She is so tiny!! It's difficult to remember Holly being THAT tiny!
Its another grey horrible day here today...:rain: :rain: But I decided to join in with the overall feeling of wet and went swimming with my support worker. I managed 10 lengths and then we sat in the spa pool for a while. It was gorgeously hot but now I am really tired having used some muscles that haven't see the light of day for a good while!!
Hope everyone is doing well.
God Bless :)
love from Sheila
Hi everyone!
Marny- What angels...both of you. Calilfornia...warm...breezy...take me away.
Teel- Grey Days here too. It started out a little blue but it changed back to cloudy grey. Or is it gray. Anywho...it's good that you got out to swim but just as good that you are back and resting. I hope all is going well with you. Hey, the sun just popped! :cb: I'm ok with it though because March 10 I leave for sunny Florida for 5 days. My sister lives there. We'll drywall and beach it and shop at Steinmart of course.
Sprout- Your pup is an absolute lamb. I would love to cuddle with it. It's hard to snuggle/cuddle with an 85 lb dog. However, I do get huge kisses all the time.
Holiday for me on monday...no work...all play! Yippee!
Well everyone...I will be lurking this weekend I'm sure...\
I wonder what happened to Bunna!
Mitchypoo 02-18-2005, 01:21 PM Hi
Didn't go to work yesterday, was feeling sick. Kind of flu like, although i think i'm letting stress get to me too.
I was down Wed. on WI, not much .6 of a lb. but that's ok, i'll still take it. I go tonight too, we'll see. My feeling bad yesterday didn't seem to affect my appetite.
Love the pics of Koko!! I'm glad photobucket is working for you. There is probably an easier way (Sunny can explain) but it works for me.
Feeling down again. Have to find a good home church. I haven't been going. I don't like my church that i belong too, the one I do Alpha at. The only thing i like about it is Alpha. I really need to find one. That's my goal this weekend, to get my booty in church.
Mkay~enjoy your holiday, you lucky girl. I'll be slaving away at work... ;)
Teel/Sheila~So happy to hear from you. I love the things you say, it's so apparent that you are English/British...sorry, don't mean to insult you, i know that some consider themselves one or the other.
Marny~Welcome!! The pic of you and DD is adorable!! i'm glad you've joined us.
Gary~Re: the Vikings getting a new owner. All i know is now they are talking out the potential new owners false resume. I really don't care who owns them, but I hope they stay in MN. About the whole stadium controversy, i think the owners and players should have to pay for it. They have the money and that's how they make money and we pay too much already for tickets... Another reason i don't like organized sports...
SunnyD57 02-18-2005, 03:13 PM  *How Do You Spell Love*
A Guy goes to the gates of heaven where he meets Saint Peter.
Saint Peter says to him, "God has looked at your book of life and
you are welcome into Heaven under one condition.” The man askes, "What is that?" St. Peter says, "You must spell the word 'Love'."
So, he does and St. Peter lets him into heaven. As he walks through the pearly gates, Saint Peter's beeper goes off. St. Peter asks the man to watch the gate until he returns, and reminds him that he must ask whoever comes to the gate to spell the word 'Love'.
Next thing you know, the man’s wife shows up at the gate. He asks her, "what are you doing here!?" She says, "on the way home from your funeral, there was a terrible car accident and I died." The husband says, “Okay, but before you can get into heaven, you do have to spell one word.”
She asks, "Sure, what’s the word?" He says...
"Spell Czechoslovakia" :lol3:

Mitchypoo 02-18-2005, 04:31 PM That is cute Sunny....I could have used that for Alpha!

Hi Gary, *Survivor* I am so glad it's back on!! I missed it... What did you think of the way they changed *Survivor*?? I thought they made it very interesting!!! Didn't you?!? Voting off 3 people right off the bat like that... I was glad to see Wanda the singer get voted off, she was rather annoying... nice person I am sure, but very annoying :^:
And *CSI-Vegas* Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeee :p !!! The whole concept of that show was rather sick, wasn't it? I didn't even know that fantasies like that existed and I think I could have gone my whole life without knowing that :o Why do I watch it? Cuz it's a good show! I like the interaction between the characters and the way they find out the answers. Even next week looks like they will be getting into allot of the "Vegas" lives - gross! I just may have to rethink my watching it if they continue with this line of stories... The rhino & elephant story in last weeks show bothered me allot!!!! I adore animals and hate to see any form of cruelty!!
*American Idol* The little country girl I picked in the beginning is still in the last 24 and the *Clay* look-alike blonde spiked hair guy with glasses is too. I will get their names down when I see it again next week. This is my favorite part when the good singers a remaining and you get to hear them by themselves.
Have a good trip you two and
TAKE ALLOT of PICTURES for us!!
Hi Teel, It's good to see you again... I think you will like the pool exercise allot and it will really help you I think. Water is so healing.
Hi Sue, Enjoy the :sunny: sunshine while you can :) I know that I do "when" it shines here. Did you do anything special today or just chillin'?
Hi Sprout, I love all the pictures of your new little furry family member :D !!! Keep them coming ;)
Hi Michele, I hope that you aren't coming down with the flu!! Sometimes I feel like you described when I get real tired... maybe it's just that you need some rest?! You have been very busy these days. Glad you enjoyed the joke ;)
Hi MKay, Yeah, I thought the joke was cute :^: when I got it in my e-mail today... just had to post it here ;) How have you been lately? Making jewelry? I watched a show on DIY where they make jewelry today - it is quite intricate. My niece made me a bracelet for my birthday that I just LOVE! She did a great job on it --- it's pink and lavender, so pretty! I think you would like her work. I'll post a picture of it later for you, okay.
Thanx! I found that graphic and loved it too... just had to make it my avatar :)
Hi Marny, *Welcome* to our corner of the world! Enjoyed your picture of you and your little girl. Thanks for sharing it! I enjoy it when people post pictures... thanks for sharing a bit about yourself, it's always nice :goodvibes
I wish we had your weather!! We went from 60* on Tuesday to 18* today and have gotten about 6 inches of snow in the last two days... Spring cannot get here too soon for me!
Hi Wilma, -29*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o I thought that 18* was cold this morning! You can keep those temps to yourself... thank-you ;)
Hi Sami, I am with Gary... are you stuck inside one of those tanning beds???? Come back soon. Hope you are still doing well :)
Bunna, are you so busy that you have forgotten us here? We all miss you! Do come back soon!!!
*~*~*
It's time for me to go watch some TV with my hubby...

EZMONEY 02-18-2005, 10:39 PM HEY SUNNY-- I'm with you on the shows...I think they feel they have to keep "upping the ante" to keep us interested....I used to love ALIAS, then it just got way too involved...I quit watching...they say they tried to do away with all the sub-plots because they did lose watchers...I just haven't cared to watch it again...and I do think Jennifer Garner is so cute too!
I saw CBS this am. with the SURVIVORS...they said it was edited to make it look like the one gal just sang all the time...doesn't matter now for her though does it?
Off to pack....
Mitchypoo 02-19-2005, 11:33 AM http://users.bigpond.com/cutecolorz/2110/setchores/cutecolorschores4.gif
Sunny~I didn't realize that it was the Survivor opening. I get totally sucked in to those shows. I wish i had watched it. I don't watch CSI very often b/c the gross part really gets to me, otherwise i find it fascinating. And something always seems to be going on and i miss 1/s of American Idol, i can't keep up. I know the country girl you are talking about and glad to know she made it in the top 24. I'll have to try and watch it from here, i really enjoy that show. But i really like it after they find the top 24, the other stuff is kind of funny, kind of sad...
I'm don't think i got the flu, but i haven't been feeling good and i still struggle getting to bed at a decent hour and therefore am always really tired. Saw last night this sleep expert who said that ANYONE who is losing weight should add as part of their plan to get atleast 7-8 hours of sleep. It helps with weightloss. So that's my goal this week, to be lights out by 10 pm, starting on Sunday night. Sat. are my day to stay up rather late.
Have to call my mom and see how they are doing in the rain, they are having flooded freeways and streets and they said this a.m. that they are having to knock down blocks on retaining walls to let the water flow. My mom does live on a hill so i'm concerned.
Spose i should get to work... ;)
SunnyD57 02-19-2005, 12:29 PM http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/SunnyD57/BABY08.gif
*Morning Everyone!*
Just thought I look at the day a bit differently today :D
Checking in... while sipping my green tea :coffee2:
:flow1: Michele, *Survivor*: each New season they will rerun the show on the weekend... maybe take a look see in your local paper or TV Guide to see if they have. Allot happened in the first episode too.
I'm glad to hear it's not the flu... from what you have described I bet you are just not getting nearly enough rest! I know that's what happens to my Joe too --- he doesn't get nearly the sleep he needs for the amount of energy he puts out during the day. And like your friend said, with the program you are doing you do need that rest... we all do!
Yes, I saw that they are getting allot of rain (on the weather channel)... hope that your mom is okay!
*Have a Great Day ALL!*

wilma12 02-19-2005, 12:39 PM I too am a big fan of CSI (all of them!!), Survivor and American Idol. We also have a Canadian Idol that runs after American Idol is finished. I was a bit disturbed over the CSI show last week. They must be getting desperate for storylines. Does such a thing exist? And if it does how sad.
Survivor was interesting also. I guess they have to shake things up a bit so people don't get tired of watching.
Today, I have a busy agenda. I get my hair cut (finally) and then take my son and his fiance to look at an apartment. Then my new DIL and I are going to go shopping to get ideas for decorations, etc. for the wedding. I think I'll make taco casserole for supper. Easy and fast and yummy.
Have a great day!
doitforme 02-19-2005, 12:49 PM Wilma- hope you have a good time shopping- that part is always fun.
Sheila- Good job working out swimming, proves you can make fun no matter what the weather.
M-Kay- Have a good time on your day of r & r
Mitchy- prayers your soon feeling your own self and that your able to find a new home church. It is important to find one that your comfortable in, my church family is so important to me.
Sunny- Loved the joke so cute- I got to go home and watch my niece cheer for 2 games, then I spent the night with mom and dad and visited and that was really nice. Always nice to see family. Now off to work until Wed.
E.Z.- hope you have a great time this weekend, thanks for the Sun it is still shinning- not warm out but looks toasty anyway.
I love CSI- but this last one really was bizarre I hope thats not going to continue or I am with sunny- have to re-think watching.
I must have pulled a muscle on the treadmill yesterday, my quad is so sore, I can hardly walk, I have been walking for about over a month now every morning and have only missed a couple times. I don't know what the problem is, but hope its better by tom. Don't want to miss it again. WI today will let you know hope to see another drop. Have an awesome weekend. Won't post tom. have church then right off to work. See ya.

Revelation 3:21
'To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.'
The ultimate goal of our Christian walk is to be like Jesus. The ultimate goal of our diet is to be trimmer and more fit. Both goals require great discipline and commitment. Both goals carry valuable rewards with them. It makes sense to combine the goals whenever we can. If we will diet prayerfully, constantly relying on Jesus Christ for comfort and strength, then we will please the Lord and lose weight at the same time. With Christ we become overcomers, and we are promised that we will share in Christ's reward in our heavenly home!
Today's thought: I cannot be beaten, as long as Christ is on my side!
wilma12 02-21-2005, 10:18 AM It's -19C here which is -2.2F. Still cold! I'm really looking forward to spring but know that it's at least a month away.
I did really well with my eating yesterday despite the fact that I was home laying down most of the day. I woke up with a terrible headache and it wouldn't leave. I don't have it this morning for which I'm very thankful.
This a.m. I finally got up early and started with a 1 mile walking dvd. I'll work my way up to the 3 mile one. It did feel great to work out again despite the fact I would have rather stayed in bed!!
On Saturday I took the kids to look at an apartment and they loved it. Future DIL is moving in this weekend and is so excited to be living on her own again. The room and board situation was getting a little tense. Please pray for full time work for these kids so they can afford the rent, groceries, etc.
We didn't get much shopping done because Nicole was so excited about the apartment that she couldn't even concentrate on what to shop for. We did go buy fabric so I could recover a few chrome chairs that they can use.
Sprout: I always appreciate the devotionals you send our way. Thanks for doing that ministry.
doitforme: I hope you're recovering okay. Take it easy!!
Michele: I need my sleep. I'm in be about 10 or 10:30 every evening except weekends. How's your mom doing? Flooding does so much damage. I hope she's okay.
SunnyD: How's your week going? I really appreciate the time you take to give us such nice graphics. Brightens my day!!
Gary: Martha's new show? Are you going to watch it? It could be interesting even though I know I'd be the first one she kicked off. I'm not all that!
mkay: Wish I could go to Florida with you. It's too cold here.
Gotta get going to work. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
doitforme 02-21-2005, 11:00 AM Bummer we are getting more snow! Suppose to snow all day. I am doing better I didn't do my treadmill for two days, but did this morning slower but I did it. I have to work today so hope roads don't get to bad.
Wilma- Thanks! Glad your headaches gone, I agree I never want to get out of bed and go exercise, but if I don't do it then, I'll procrastinate and not do it.
Sprout- another good devotion
Pray all are healthy and safe and have an awesome day!
Mitchypoo 02-21-2005, 02:34 PM Wilma~Thanks for asking, my parents are doing fine with all the rain. They are/were having some flooding backyard problems, but they have a pump now, the problem is getting my dad to be proactive and use it.
Had good news on my Sat. WI (check out my ticker)!! Feeling really good about my efforts there.
Have Holy Spirit weekend this Sat. I took it off from work and i'm looking forward to it. Think i'm going to bring my yoga ball for a chair. The chairs just kill me. I'm sure they'll make fun of me, but guess i don't care.
Good Afternoon All!
Sunny...Yes, I am making some pieces here and there. I spent alot of the weekend sorting old beads and putting them aside for a little girl at church. I've been organizing the rest and downsizing!
I love the CSI shows as well. Are we all talking about the baby room episode? Yeah, yukky! What's scary as well is that someone had to write the episode which meant they had to think up the crazy stuff.
Survivor was good as well, BUT...tonight...The Bachelorette @ 9:00. I'm a sucker for romance stuff no matter how corny it is.
Mitchy...Glad mom/pop are ok. Yippee Girl re the weight loss. :cb: :cp: :dancer:  :cheer:
Wilma...I loved looking at apartments with my friends and my kids. I try to imagine where I'd put my things if it were me. Goofy, I know.
Sprout...Great devotional. I did do good the past 3 days.
It was amazing to me that the other night at life team...all the ladies deal with weight issues yet they each had an average of 2 desserts on their plate. No...I didn't. I looked at what I was seeing and it made me more determined than ever not to eat bad that night...and I haven't since. Praise God. I'm struggling a little more today, but I will overcome the temptation!
doitforme...Yahoo to the r&r. I was up and at my sister's house caring for her dogs by 8:00 a.m. and have been going and cooking, etc ever since.
I made a breakfast casserole type meal from the SB diet group of recipes...yummy yummy yummy. It should last for a couple of days with DH eating it as well. For dinner tonight I am having breaded chicken breasts with spagetti sause and cheese melted on top. My breading consists of corn meal, I put sesame seeds in the coffed grinder and some sea salt and mixed it all up and I think it will taste good. Yeah, ok, I invented it...so it may not be as good as I "imagine" it to be.
EZ...Nikki's teats are hanging low and are quite puffy. Her body still does not look pregnant. 1.5 weeks to go.
Well all, thanks for listening/reading...hugs to you all!!!
craftymom2005 02-21-2005, 03:43 PM a marvelous monday to everyone,

sprout 02-21-2005, 06:09 PM As you can see from my 'ticker' I have lost another pound - did this in the last week - have been setting a goal of 1 pound per week and so far so good.
By the way: puppy is very spoiled and we have only had him just over 1 week - but is doing well on house training - learning to sit on command and is able to do this 50% of the time already - now if he will just come on command ! !
Mitchypoo 02-21-2005, 06:11 PM Woohoo to Craftymom and Marilyn!! :cb: :bravo: Keep up the good work.
Yea!!!!! to the weight losers!
I'm off the sugar now and we'll see if I can join in!
Hugs,
wilma12 02-22-2005, 10:17 AM Look at all the weight loss happening here. YAY!! I haven't lost any BUT I have gotten up early 2 mornings in a row to exercise so maybe I'll have something to report soon too.
Tonight we have a farewell dinner for a coworker. I plan to choose wisely in what I'm going to eat. It's a restaurant I've never been to before so I don't know what to expect.
Not much else to report today. I do want to keep myself accountable for the exercise so I'm going to try to report in each day and let you know how I did.
Have a super day!
sprout 02-22-2005, 02:10 PM February 22
1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
David was driving everyone crazy. He seemed to breeze through his diet while everyone else struggled. At first, everyone assumed he was cheating on his diet, but when he began losing weight faster than everyone else, they gave up on that thought. It was finally discovered that only one thing made David different from the rest of the group: David was a Christian. He began sharing his faith and told the others they could cast all their cares on the Lord, and God would help them face all their trials and temptations. The group not only lost weight, they gained faith!
Today's thought: As we cast our cares on God, He casts His love on us!
Mitchypoo 02-22-2005, 03:00 PM I have to share with you that last night some of us teammembers for Alpha got together to talk about a retreat 3 of them went to and to talk about Holy Spirit day this Sat. and then we had prayer time. One of the ladies asked me what was on my heart, and i asked for prayer for my fatigue and for a complete healing on my back. My back is feeling remarkably different today! Praise God! Why am i continually surprised that God would heal ME TOO?? When she laid hands on my low back, her hand was hot.
But then i have a migraine today too :( So i guess now i need healing for that. We have support group tonight and some scary stuff happening w/one of the girls, so i really want to be there. I'm trying to get rid of it now, i think i'll just take the medication now. Lunch didn't seem to help.
Mitchy...Let's not speak any life into that headache. It is warfare. I too woke up not feeling as upbeat BUT have been praising God and reading the "Who I am in Christ" list today and Phillippians 4:13...I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. We MUST battle against our minds/thoughts. Praise for the back healing. You are accepted and loved and deserve healing my friend.
Can you tell I'm reading Joyce Meyers Battlefield of the Mind. I am truly receiving revelations one after the other.
Praise God! Turn your "I Love Jesus" music on and glorify God this day! Amen!
Sprout...Good for you with the exercise. My exercise time is coming....first, I MUST lose at least 7 lbs before March 10 or all the summer clothes that I wore last summer won't fit me when I go south and I ditched the rest that were real big. I'm doing ok today.
Hugs,
doitforme 02-22-2005, 04:40 PM Mitchy- CONGRATS ON WT. LOSS. Glad to hear parents are doing good. Pray for healing for your back and headaches.

DAILY CONFESSIONS
I am the Body of Christ. My body is the house of God. God lives in me and I belong to Him. I've been bought with the price of the blood of Jesus, so I glorify God in my body and in my spirit - 1 Corinthians 6:15-19; 2 Corinthians 6:16, 3:16.
Satan has no power over me. I have been delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of God's dear Son - Colossians 1:13.
Therefore sin has no power over me - Romans 6:14.
I separate myself from every unclean thing - 2 Corinthians 6:17.
I submit myself to God. I resist the devil and he flees from me - James 4:7.
I choose the fear of the Lord, which is to hate evil, pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the disobedient mouth - Proverbs 8:13.
I consider Jesus and His presence in me - Hebrews 12:3.
I love God more than anything this world offers - Mark 12:30.
I present my body as a living sacrifice to God - holy, devoted, and consecrated to please Him, which is a part of my spiritual worship to Him. I am not conformed to this world's way of thinking, but I am continually being transformed by the renewing of my mind to His Word so that I can prove what is the good, the acceptable, and the perfect will of God in my life - Romans 12:1,2.
I have the mind of Christ - 1 Corinthians 2:16.
Jesus said, "The prince of the world comes, but he has nothing in Me." Just like Jesus, I decree that Satan has nothing in me - John 14:30.
I cast down imaginations and every thought that tries to exalt itself against the knowledge of God. I bring my thoughts into captivity to the obedience of Christ and His Word - having a ready mind to revenge all disobedience - 2 Corinthians 10:4,5.
I think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. If there be any virtue or praise, I think on these things - Philippians 4:8.
Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee - Psalm 119:11.
If I sin, You said if I confess and repent of my sin, You are faithful and just to forgive me of it and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness - 1 John 1:9.
Like Jesus, I love righteousness and I hate iniquity; therefore God anoints me with the oil of gladness - Hebrews 1:9.
Lord, You said there is no temptation that has come to me or that can come to me that is not common to man, nothing that is beyond human resistance. You are faithful to Your Word and to Your love for me, and You will not allow me to be tempted beyond my strength to resist and You will provide a way out or a way of escape so I will be strong against it - 1 Corinthians 10:13.
I am of God and I have overcome every anti-Christ spirit because greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world - 1 John 4:4.
This is the victory that causes me to overcome in this world - my faith in Jesus and in His Word - 1 John 5:4,5.
I live and walk by faith and not by sight or feelings - 2 Corinthians 5:7.
I live by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God - Matthew 4:4.
I let the Word of Christ dwell in me richly in all wisdom - Colossians 3:16.
The spirit of faith is, I believe and therefore I speak - 2 Corinthians 4:13.
I overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony, not loving my life unto the death - Revelation 12:11.
All things are working together for good in my life because I love God and I am called according to His purpose - Romans 8:28.
Thanks be to God who gives me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ. He always causes me to triumph - 1 Corinthians 15:57; 2 Corinthians 2:14.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me - Philippians 4:13.
Hi all...well, I'm only down the 1 lb in 4 days. That's ok...it's not UP that pound. I will still fight this battle. Being away from the sugar give me a since of power over my own mind...kinda like "control." I did join a small curves-type fitness place BUT only to use the treadmill and exercise bike I saw in their facility. I won't do the circuit thing...I already did curves and didn't go that often. My heart has always wanted a treadmill and bike...so...now I will have at least access to one throughout the month. It's a small package their letting people buy into. Cool.
wilma12 02-23-2005, 10:05 AM You should see it outside today. There is frost on all the trees and bushes. It's a winter wonderland!! Too bad I'm looking forward to spring. I wish I had a digital camera so I could show you how pretty it is.
I have exercised for 3 days now and can feel it in my muscles. It feels good to finally be doing something about this last 20-30 lbs that's hanging around. Why does it take me so long to get going?
We had a great time at dinner last night. I ordered an oriental noodle, veggies and chicken dish. Delicious. I took half of it home with me so I get more tonight. I'll stir fry some more veggies to go with it.
mkay: Losing 1 lb. is great. As long as it's going down and not up it's a victory. Keep up the good work.
doitforme: Way to go on the 2 lbs. You guys are all giving me incentive to keep going.
Michele: It sounds like the Lord is doing a great work in you. Praise Him!!
Have a great day!
Mitchypoo 02-23-2005, 10:57 AM Hi all!
Mkay~I think you are right, the  is working on me, and what is weird, i didn't see your email yesterday? I saw the one before and after, but the post about him getting to me was not there? Anyway, you are right, i do deserve healing and i have to keep looking toward the Lord. I had many temptations yesterday.....OH, btw, i'm very proud of you and your efforts for that 1 lb, so should you sweets! ;) Just the fact that you've given up sweets/sugar is a huge accomplishment too.
I ended up going home and going to bed, it would not go away. I took a pain pill and went to bed. It's better this a.m. but it kind of feels like a hangover.
Sue~woohoo  on the 2 lbs!
Sunny~???? Where are you sweets? Gary, Bunna, Teel, please come back
Mitchypoo 02-23-2005, 11:03 AM Hi all!

Hi everyone... Joe & I got some really sad news this morning... a dear friend of ours passed on last night  She has been suffering for quite some time now with cancer. We will miss her so very much :( Sherry use to play piano for us at our church till she became very ill... I really have missed her calming nature and her smile. She never complained about a thing. Please keep her husband, Jim, in your prayers. Joe is taking off work on Friday to direct the choir at her funeral service... so sad...
*~*~*
Hi MKay, :thanks: for the Daily Confessions! I have gone and checked it out a few times... so I decided to print it up to keep.
Good for you--- no sugars for you either? I am so happy to know that I am not alone in this... it isn't easy to do, but so well worth it.
Here is a picture of the bracelet that my niece made me for my birthday... isn't it pretty? I just love it and wear it all the time now, it goes with everything. What do you think of it? Isn't that clasp cool?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/SunnyD57/Home%20Pictures/BraceletB.jpg
As for *CSI* (Thursday nights) it is in Vegas... I don't think that the writers had to think too hard for that plot :p unfortunately :o or any of the future plots I don't care to know about, but I still keep watching... :dizzy:
Hi Mary (craftymom), glad you enjoyed a little laughter... it always makes the day a bit brighter doesn't it ;)
:dancer: WooHoo in losing another 4 lbs!!! :dancer:
Not me... haven't budged :( Gonna just keep trying... I know that I am not walking enough right now. I am ashamed to even post on my walking thread and haven't :sorry: lately. It is so hard to get back into it right now --- I haven't been feeling very well these days (again). Been dealing with some pain (on & off) in my right side for about three weeks now  Enough of that stuff... I'll live :D
Oh my gosh Sprout... I am so very proud of you too!!! You are doing so well - losing another pound... you are doing it!!! Yeah!!! :cp:
I am so very happy for you and your family... enjoy that puppy!! That's what God gave them to us for... unconditional love, companionship & enjoyment. Keep those pictures coming ;)
Michele... what can I say about you girly... ... ... you are doing so wonderful!!!! :bravo:
I only wish I could get my weight to move again... I have gone off of sugars and have been watching, but have done poorly with my daily routine of exercise. I know that's where I am going wrong :( It has been so difficult with my tummy hurting again. I have been reading a new book in hopes that it may help me, but he calls for such expensive foods and vitamins. I am just looking into it right now & doing allot of note-taking --- the book is titled *Patient, Heal Thyself*. The one program I began months ago (& mentioned to Gary for his DD) has really helped me allot, but I want to feel WELL again and not just get by... so I keep on searching.
I do hope that you feel better real soon... keep up the great job of losing girl... you should be holding your head up high :smug:
Teel, I hope that you are doing okay... you have been on my mind allot, therefore in my prayers often. Be well :grouphug:
Hi Wilma, You joining the *No Sugar* gang?? :) How did you do at the farewell dinner? Did you Fair Well?
We had a day like that yesterday... all the snow we got was so wet that it all stuck to the branches of the tree's --- really very beautiful!! I too have gotten to the point where I long for some warmer sunny days... many here are! I am sure you are hearing it there too! We are a bit warmer then you all - 30* today with bit's of sunlight trying to come through the clouds.
Hi Sue, :bravo: :cp: you lost 2 lbs!!!! :cp: Okay... now I am getting really jealous of all you gals dropping weight and I am just sitting here... I best get my butt-ox on the T-Mill, huuh :D
Okay Gary & Angie... where are those pictures??? I hope that all went well with the house :)

SunnyD57 02-23-2005, 02:33 PM What did you all think of *American Idol* last two nights??
I really enjoyed that one guy Bo Bice... but then I thought they were all pretty good. I think that their songs were all what are considered "safe songs", like the judges said, and most were... I also enjoyed Anthony Fedorov (the trake kid - blonde with glasses) & I thought the Jazz guy (the last guy - I think his name was Mario Vazquez) was pretty good too... it's gonna be real tough!!!
The girls... I think they will be easier to weed out. I LOVE that country girl!! Her name is Carrie Underwood --- I think she will make it into the final 2 (I hope!) If not... I think that someone will pick her up, she is just too good! The other gal I really enjoyed is that last one who sang, her name is Aloha Mischeaux. The other gal I am watching, but didn't like her song last night is the 16 year old, Mikalah Gordon... she's usually pretty good, but I didn't like her choice of song last night. I hope (in a way) she doesn't make it "just yet", she is so young to go into that business. It really changes them...
Well...I went to the little fitness center, and I mean little and rode and walked...I FEEL WONDERFUL. I keep waiting for the "sugar drop" blues but as long as I have my FF/SF pudding and fudgsicle, I'll be ok.
EZ...It's been more than a month and DH and I have not had an argument...Praising God! Everyday! Lovin the Lord!
Michele...Hi girly girl...how's the headache? Satan is such a booger. We're breakin his bondage RIGHT NOW! I still did not get your pendant. I'm excited because I went to H. Lobby's 40% off sale and bought some fun thing to do it with. Now...do you want a double around the neck like the picture of the cross one? OR do you want something else? How long would you like the pendant to hang? upper chest line or bust line?
Sunny...The bracelet is beautiful. Be careful of the clasp...sometimes the rod part falls through the hole. And pink...your color my dear. I did not get any cravings for anything today. Tonight is Wild Wed at church and it's a meal before bible study. Since I can't control what's being served, I will have to do my other option...portion control.
Wilma...Good for you on the exercise...I'm hoping to follow in those steps of yours. I'll bet the frost is awesome. A few years ago when DH and I went to AR at Christmas and we ran into the great ice storm. We were stranded for 2 nights in a grocery store parking lot and then at the bottom of the mountain off the highway. Anyway...the ice was awesome...I do have pics to post if I think of it. The ice destroyed thousands of treetops but it was beauty. I guess, just because something is beautiful does not mean it's always good.
Well my fine friends...I'm gonna jet and get my one last letter typed and a file cleaned out and organized and then find something else to do here today. Hugs and more hugs to all of you.
PS 15 day and counting...(FL)
Oh my goodness Sunny...Psalm 91...are the verses I've passed along last week to friends/family. You are awesome!
SunnyD57 02-23-2005, 03:17 PM Hi MKay, I knew you would like the bracelet :D :smug: I love the pink and lavender too.
Psalm 91: 6-11 was given to me many years ago in prayer when I was too afraid to do anything... not long after, I got involved in a performing arts ministry :) God is so Good ;)
I am so thrilled to hear that you and hubby are doing so much better, Mary... you are sure giving a good go :grouphug: It takes work to make a good marriage... and the first place to go is yourself ;) and you are doing that :) *Continued Prayers* for you both.
Wishing you well tonight, although... I don't think you need it. You are doing so awesome!!
Hi Angie-Wangie, I went back and searched you out to see if you are still posting... I just wanted you to know that I just LOVED that picture of you with your ferrets in your personal profile... you are one beautiful lady! Come back a post here again soon, okay. You are doing so well with your weight-loss!! :cp: Only 18 lbs. to your goal, awesome!
On-my-weigh, you are due with your baby in July aren't you? How are you doing? I miss hearing about your family and your pregnancy. Come back and post soon ;) You don't have to be on a diet to post here :D
And you Bunna... lurking and not stopping in to post... (shame on you :^: ;) ) yes... I just was checking up on you & others missing for awhile :D Hope you are doing okay and will drop us a line soon, letting us all know how you are doing. We do miss you! :flow1:
Later...

SunnyD57 02-23-2005, 06:13 PM http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/SunnyD57/MOUSESET1.gif
I forgot to mention that the writer of *Patient, Heal Thyself* is Christian and believes in eating only the foods mentioned in scriptures... "God's Garden" I do hope that once I begin to change over I become well enough to do more and feel life's energy again. I am so tired of feeling tired. Right now I am looking into the foods and vitamins he mentions... they look costly. I'll keep you all informed...
Thank-you so much Sue, I know that you will hold our friends in prayer and that you will hold me in prayer... I so appreciate them. :thanks:
Have fun at youth group :D

EZMONEY 02-23-2005, 11:35 PM HI GALS
First of all PRAYERS for your dear friend's family and you and Joe, Donna.
Well gals, Angie and I made it back safe and sound (?)...pretty sure I'm not ever sound! The hardest part of the trip...other than spending $$$$ was the flight from San Fransisco to San Diego....BUMPY!!! with all the rain and thunderstorms down the California coast...we left Washington at 3pm and got home on schedule at 11pm...midnight before we got HOME!! We had a layover in Seattle and San Fran....now that I think about it..the hardest part of the trip was the drive home...the freeway had a bunch of flooded spots.
Angie had a candle party after work and is still gone...sooo...no pictures tonight. Not much to see yet on the house, the framing is finished...roof on..and electrical went in today...we are still 2 months away from completion. I will be going up in a couple of weeks for the drywall.
We.. hahahahah  ...ANGIE...picked the colors of walls, the flooring...wood, vinyl and carpet, door and cabinet handles, cabinet finishes, plumbing and electrical fixtures. We...there I go again...Angie added a couple of decks out the kitchen nook and the guest bedroom... I added a concrete run down one side of the house to the back yard...Angie said I could have that so I could get the lawn mower into the backyard from the garage...she said she is TIRED of mowing our grass....actually she never complains about it, she enjoys it...but lately Ron and I have done it. Angie did quit mowing the front for awhile..we have a 2 foot block wall she had to lift the mower over...I had to make a pass through for her.
I tried and tried to find a section where I could crate the dogs when it was too hot or cold in the garage at night....tried to get half of one closet...nope! tried to get a cubby hole in our bedroom...nope! She finally agreed they could sleep in the laundry room if needed. She is just sooo sweet :nono:  :nono:
When we finished business and were back at the hotel I asked..."Did I get anything I wanted?"...she just laughed and said..."Nope! but you got me!"...
Well, I will try to catch up and get with everyone this week-end...CONGRATS on the LOSES to all of you...LOOOOSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gary

doitforme 02-24-2005, 09:58 AM I am going to try to attach a couple pictures from last years ministry trip. My nephew is closest in pic. the blond.
doitforme 02-24-2005, 10:07 AM This is a pic of my niece and one of the boys in a skit. wearing outfits I made. My pastor at one of the nursing home introducing the youth group. The man you guys prayed for and praise God is doing well. Orion playing guitar, didn't realize without photo enhancement would be so blurry. Then youth group singing enough for now. Just wanted to share.

Your trip to the NEW house sounds like it was very successful!!! You really got allot done! I cannot wait to see pictures of it. I am glad to hear that you got there and made it home safely again... I know that the weather in California has been absolutely terrible with the rains and mud slides! Are you anywhere near them? The slides? I pray NOT! :o

mrsdivajen 02-24-2005, 12:43 PM Well, I am from Ohio, I am the worship leader at my church, I'm married w/ one 6 month old boy named Jake. I am a teacher part time/ SAHM part time. I gained almost 80 pounds while pregnant,  I've lost about 50 of it through LCing...but this is my second time on Atkins and it's coming off much slower this time. I'm about to get my TOM and I can FEEL the bloat starting....yuck...
Welcome mrsdivajen (jen)...Worship leader is awesome. I do not carry a tune very good but I love to sing. What is LCing? TOM? I am certainly out of the acronym loop here. My kids are 22 and 28; one married one engaged; a hubby and a dog who is pg.
Sunny...you're dazzling me with your graphics. Golly I wish I knew where and how to get them. Gosh, sorry about the friend.
Michele...are you at work today?
doitforme...love seeing pics.
EZ...looking for pics.
hugs for now
Mitchypoo 02-24-2005, 02:23 PM Hi all!
Jennifer~WELCOME!!! I was wondering what LCing is too but I think it may be Low Carbing? I know TOM is Time of Month... I hope you come back often and post much. Woohoo to you on your efforts.
Sunny~Sorry you haven't been well lately... did you have to give up your membership at Curves? I know you enjoyed it there. Can we pray for healing for you? :grouphug:
Mkay~ya i'm at work (bummer), having a rough week, boss back in today and i'm having major computer trouble. So sick of it all...
Gary~glad you got home OK, how exciting about your new house. I trust Angie has good taste and you'll love her choices. Sweet of you to go along for the ride! ;) I too would love to see pics.
Have crisis phones tonight.....it's been really quiet the last 2 nights, hope it is tonight too.
mrsdivajen 02-24-2005, 02:49 PM yep, LCing is low-carbing...
TOM is time of month...
Yeah it's been a long road...I have a lot left to lose but it's coming off steadily thank goodness!!
Yeah, me again. TOM...duhhh...I knew that...well, maybe not, since I've been waiting for mine since early January. :dizzy:
Oops...I just ate a bag of Sun Chips. I suppose it could have been worse...Fritos or tater chips.
Tonight: DH has a dinner/seminar thing for HVAC at 5:30 so that means dinner's on me. I think I will cook up some venison patties and that way I can eat them throughout the week.
Also, tonight...SURVIVOR!!! I've got about 4 baskets of clothes to fold so I will do it then. I also have 2 bathrooms to clean and tax info to find. Hmmm...I might as well go home now!
Saturday, my girls and I are going goodwill shopping and to lunch. I'm excited. The three of us love it when we are together  I guess that starry eyed love for our kids never goes away.
I guess I'll get some more work done right now...
bye again
EZMONEY 02-24-2005, 10:41 PM It's Angie- Here are pictures of our house in WA. The view is the backyard looking from the patio to the fence line and vice versa. There is also a pic of the front of the house and our fireplace-to-be.
We (rather I) had a good time picking out flooring, counter tops, paint color, carpet, etc...
EZMONEY 02-24-2005, 10:52 PM Here are the latest pics of our "puppies". They look clean, but they're not. They just got done running through the mud!
Rylee is in the blue collar and Reba is in the red collar.
Hi everyone! How is the weather doing for you all? Here it has snowed every day so far this week, but we have got off pretty lightly in comparison with some other parts of the UK.
Sunny how are you feeling now? Hope The Lord's Healing power gets right through to your point of need right now!!
EZ,CONGRATULATIONS! On recieving your award for blood donating. That sure takes some commitment on your part!!
The pups are looking gorgeous!! And thank you for the pictures of the up and coming abode! Its going to be wonderful when it is finished!!
Hello to Mkay...venison patties sound delicious!:T
Mitchypoo I hope the night's crisis session on the telephone went quietly..and if it didn't then I am sure the folk on the other end of the line were very pleased to talk to you in their time of need...You certainly have my respect an admiration for doing that difficult job...
I have had a difficult wee...again, it seems nothing gets really sorted before something else turns up to ruin me!! On Tuesday night I was going through to kitchen to get a drink, at about 02:00hrs, when I slipped and fell..was getting back on my feet and I fell again. Have badly strained my left ankle/foot. :( I have it stapped up and am managing to go at the pace of the humble snail... :censored: :faint: :snail: :snail:
I also had 2 phone calls from my doctor, who says I have some Kidney stress, possibly due to all the medication I have been taking. So I need to have an ultra-sound of my kidneys..and I have had my cardio drugs halved and my MST reduced, and the anti-inflammatory drug Arcoxia, stopped. I just wish they had stopped one drug at a time and I wish also that my cardiologist had been informed of their plans before things wee changed hither and thither.
Ok, Hellos to Wilma and Bunna and everyone else lurking or otherwise!!God Bless. Keep safe in the snow!
Teel- We must be posting at the same time. Gee, I pray for healing throughout your entire body from head to toe. What I do hear...you are certainly a spirit of health in your walk with the Lord. Thank you for that!
EZ- OK, maybe I missed it, but why would you leave CA for WA? Warm/Sunny to Cold/Gray? The house is great! I love the pics of the dogs. They are so beautiful. I just can't believe that such wonderful innocent looking pooches are such hellians (sp).
IT'S FRIDAY!!!!! IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!!! TOMORROW IS JUNK SHOPPING WITH MY GIRLS!!!!! Ok, I'm a tad excited.
I ended up eating like a horse last night. No venison patties...I had some smoked sausage (not low fat), 2 fudgsicles (ff/sf) 2 handfuls of raisins, some shredded mozzerella cheese and approx a cup of nuts. I felt like crap shortly thereafter. THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN TODAY!
Well, I will be checking in later so read posts from everyone else, even our lost friends. Hugs,
SunnyD57 02-25-2005, 09:36 AM http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/SunnyD57/HOUSE04.gif
 Hi Angie, It's so good to see you pop in when you can... Thank-you so much for taking the time to show us some pictures of your New home and furry kids :D I cannot believe how much Reba & Rylee have grown!! :o And "Oh-my-goodness!" gorgeous dogs! They sure look healthy... you can see a big difference now between Reba and Rylee. Rylee is broader in his girth and is a deeper golden color, but both are just beautiful!
As for you New home... it looks like it's going to be really nice! Hard to tell at this stage, but I still enjoy seeing the pictures :smug: Is your New home smaller or larger then your current one? It looks like you are in a whole new development, so all of you will be NEW to the neighborhood ;) Cool
Hi MKay, You make me smile the way you enjoy the graphic and animations I use. I haven't searched for any latley, because I have these already saved from a long time ago... glad you are enjoying them ;)
Another good *Survivor* show! You catch it this time Michele? I wasn't surprised at all at who got voted off... she was so ready to go home! You could see it in her behavior and so did her tribe. Sorry... I haven't learned their names yet, but the tattoo girl impressed me... she a tough gal :) I like her allot, just don't agree with all the tattoo's or piercing's, but when you look past them she is adorable. She reminds me of the girl that works in the lab on the show *NCIS* (Tuesday nights).
*CSI-Vegas* was really good too... not as bad as I thought. I felt so sorry for the girl who killed the guy :sorry: A sad story-line to say the least. It sure did begin gory though, didn't it, Mary? Seeing inside that guys dead body right off the start! :o Ewe!
*ER* was really good - I thought! You? What did you think? I liked the way that they drew in the two areas (the War & the ER) and showing you that there wasn't much of a difference in what they did... and that soon the couple will see one another again :) Great show!
I taped *W/O a Trace* haven't seen it yet...
Hi Michele, Home the phones were quiet last night ;) Are you feeling any better today?
Oh... I haven't gone to Curves since October of last year. I doubt that I will go back. But I have my Elliptical and my T-Mill here as well as my Walking DvD's (Walking Away the Pounds), so all I have to do is get to feeling well again and just use them. Everytime I go to use the machines at first I feel great; then the spasms begin again... so I really must take care of my insides before I can concentrate on the exercise. And from what I have read in my book - the diet he puts you on to add all the good enzymes into your intestines again will help you to drop weight too :D Because then the body will function as it should. According to Jorden S. Rubin (the writer... I think he also wrote the book *The Maker's Diet*) most people with my problem DO have a very difficult time losing weight (that made me feel validated!) So my next step is to get to the *Vitamin Shoppe* and to this place called *The Mustard Seed* and go by my foods and supplements... hopefully tonight & tomorrow I will go.
Hi Jennifer, A 6 month old... whew, sounds like you have your hands full ;) give yourself some time... that baby fat will come off again :^: Did you have a weight problem before the baby? It doesn't really matter... you will get it off again, you'll see :) How long have you been married? From Ohio... me too :D I live in Geauga County... NE Ohio. Today it looks like it's going to be a sunny day :) But it's COLD! Only 18* this morning... buuuuurrrrrr
I just turned 48 and haven't any children (a long story) in the human form, but I have 3 *furry* kids - our cats ;) Joe & I will be married for 30 years this June 21st... where does the time go :^:
Hi Teel, you just popped in... good to see you again! I could be feeling better, Teel... thank you for asking ;) Keep the prayers coming :thanks: I can always use them.
As I will keep the prayers coming for you! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/SunnyD57/Smilies/050103lv_prv.gif Hurt your ankle? :o I am so sorry! I knew something wasn't right... you will be in my continued thoughts and prayers, especially as the Dr's try to figure out what is wrong with your kidney's :grouphug:

Lord, My soul is ripped with riot
incited by my wicked diet.
"We Are What We Eat," said a wise old man!
and, Lord, if that's true, I'm a garbage can.
I want to rise on Judgment Day, that's plain!
but at my present weight, I'll need a crane.
So grant me strength, that I may not fall
into the clutches of cholesterol.
May my flesh with carrot-curls be dated,
that my soul may be poly unsaturated
And show me the light, that I may bear witness
to the President's Council on Physical Fitness.
And at oleomargarine I'll never mutter,
for the road to Hell is spread with butter.
And cream is cursed; and cake is awful;
and Satan is hiding in every waffle.
Mephistopheles lurks in provolone;
the Devil is in each slice of baloney,
Beelzebub is a chocolate drop,
and Lucifer is a lollipop.
Give me this day my daily slice
but, cut it thin and toast it twice.
I beg upon my dimpled knees,
deliver me from jujubes.
And when my days of trial are done,
and my war with malted milk is won,
Let me stand with Heavenly throng,
In a shining robe--size 30 long.
I can do it Lord, If You'll show to me,
the virtues of lettuce and celery.
If You'll teach me the evil of mayonnaise,
of pasta a la Milannaise
potatoes a la Lyonnaise
and crisp-fried chicken from the South.
Lord, if you love me, shut my mouth.
*~*~*
I saw this this morning and thought you all
would enjoy the chuckle too

doitforme 02-25-2005, 10:44 AM WELCOME JENNIFER- Glad you decided to join us. This is a good place to come to stay focused. You'll be supported while you loose and I am sure will achieve your goal. So post often and let us know what your up to, and how things are going.
Sunny- THANKS ! Yes I made them. That is part of my reaponsibility for the mission's trip is wardrobe and props, it is too much fun, seeing these young people serve the Lord. I'll post some more. Sorry to hear your not feeling better prayers your way that your soon healthy head to toe.
M-Kay- Happy Shopping! That sounds like fun. I agree with sunny I was really happy to see the girl with the piercings and tattoos make it through the obstacle course at least twice with no problem. She seems to be a nice girl hiding behind the armor. I love venison, it is trully a very lean meat, which is great. Now your patties, do mix with beef or ground venison just curious, I have had it both ways but not found a way to keep it from crumbling without beef added as no fat content to hold it together.
doitforme 02-25-2005, 11:36 AM E.Z./Angie-Thanks for the pics the kids are getting big, The new home looks nice We went by train through Washington, the area was beautiful with rivers and mountains. Look forward to seeing more pics as completion is done.
Mitchy- What a huge responsibility answering a crisis line, my hats off to you!Teel- Prayers for healing, hope your ankle is soon feeling better, as well as other health issues.
Hi to everyone else as well here is some more pics leaving for trip, stop off at Krispy Kremes, Kids in Philadelphia by Liberty Bell, different churches.

EZMONEY 02-25-2005, 12:27 PM HI GALS
I had to get Angie to send the pictures last night, I tried but just couldn't get them the right size to send---good job Babe ;)
The pictures on REBA and RYLEE are a little deceiving....RYLEE weighs 58 lbs. and REBA weighs 60 lbs. RYLEE is chubbier but actually has a very skinny neck..which obvious doesn't show up in the picture as she is laying down all scrunched up.
I know the house isn't much to look at in this stage...we just wanted to show it so you gals would have an idea on how it looks. As you can see it has a 3 car garage, 2,100 sq. ft. approx living area...it doesn't show well in the pics but the area... center left...by Angie in the back of the house, will be an extended deck and the area, center right...is extended out from the house, the kitchen nook. The home is in a planned community that already has a very nice park, with another one in the beginning stage, and walking trails...we are located on the out skirts of the first section...we picked this lot because we are at the beginning of a cul-de-sac...a big yard, on the left the future home to be built will have it's back yard to us since it faces another street, on our right there will be 3 homes then a vacant area in front of us which will enter the trails and future park area...we will have the morning sun (if it cimes out ;) )in the kitchen, great room and master and guest bedrooms...we will be shaded from the hot afternoon sun in the summer the way the house sits. The house across the street from us is to start building next week and 1 of the lots by us is sold. The pictures make it look a little more desolate than it really is...just to the left and right of the pics there are homes people are living in....
Gotta go...dogs barking..........
EZMONEY 02-25-2005, 01:09 PM Those darn girls...
Ok..back to the development...it has 217 acres with 35 open acres..it will have 653 homes when finished, I say right now there are over 100 families now....We are within 2 miles of freeways, Home Depot, Super Wal-Mart, McDonalds and Subway...in other words...civilization
Our house is located in eastern Washington near the Oregon border...it IS NOT PRETTY there!! it is desert but the Columbia River runs through it.
TEEL Take it easy on those kidneys dear! Ouch! on the sprain...they can be worse than breaks at times. Here is some :sunny: :flame: :flow2: to melt all that snow.
MKAY Great job between you and DH on working things out with no arguing! Have fun junk shopping...if you need more just come by my nephew's bedroom  Why are we leaving sunny/warm California for cold/hot Washington? hummm....wish I could answer that...not tooooo smart I guess!! To be on the safe side though..we ARE keeping our home here...if you leave Ca. now...you.. er..WE could NEVER afford to come back!!
SUNNY Our new home is about 2,100 sq. ft., our house here is 1,800 with also a 3 car garage..so the new one is a little bigger..we actually wanted to downsize but it will be OK because it is all one level!! After 26 years in a tri-level...NO STAIRS!! :dancer: Watched CSI and Survivor..saw the gal on CBS this am. that was kicked off...she said she wasn't ready to go but that she WAS ready...I think what she meant was she was wore out but didn't want to be! She also said that at the fire she was just tired and wanted to sleep, that she wasn't being unsocial...she agrees now that it did look that way. Angie watched ER...I fell asleep during the last half. CSI just keeps getting stranger and gorier...just like all of us have been discussing. Sorry to hear no more Curves...but great job to keep up on the treadmill when you can!
SUE Way cool on the pics. I see Red Lion had a Chaplel? Is that the hotel? As you may have read in my post...we are on the east side of Washington... the west is pretty but :rain: :rain: :rain: we will get cold weather, not much snow, and hot summers. We have to western Washington several times and love to visit. Have a great time with those youth!! OH! you already are
JENNIFER Welcome!
MICHELE Great job on the crisis phone lines. Are your parents holding up in the rain? They are getting a few more inches than we are and we are losing alot of homes down here. I am not in any danger...I HOPE!! we are not near cliffs..HOWEVER only a mile away about 10 homes have been lost due to sliding off their embankment...no insurance to cover this type of thing...they will lose everything...so sad. Any dates this week-end? Enjoy your time off work. How is the new church search going?
WILMA Great job on the exercise. Of course you would be kicked off Marth's show first!! she wouldn't want your competion ;) Don't know if I will watch...I told my wife several years ago..before the prison term...that we should put our money on her...she is ruthless!! and has a knack to make money. How are the wedding plans, apt., job hunts going?
SPROUT Are you busy teaching that puppy tricks? Bet those kids love the new family member. Are you walking?
SAMI Where are you?...BUNNA ?
Well off to do chores...
Later, Gary
finally ready 02-25-2005, 01:20 PM Hi, there, its been a while since I have been able to come on and see how everyone was doing, battled a virus of some type Monday and it really knocked me for a loop. Plus might have something going on with my gall bladder, and that scares me to pieces as I don't really want to have surgery at this weight. I am down a total of 7 pounds now, and i am thrilled. It might not be a lot but it makes me feel better, it could also all be in my mind, but I seem to have more energy, and feel slimmer.Off to my grandaughters "Fun Fair" nite at school, it's always a mad rush of little bodies flying through school trying to get to all the games I can't tell you how many times I've gotten to hold those won goldfish on the way home. If you could , could you remember to keep me and my gall bladder in your prayers, I would really appreciate it. have a great day.

craftymom2005 02-25-2005, 06:39 PM hi every one,
the sun is finally trying to peak it's little head out. we have had such unusually warm weather. i don't difine it as warm. i have a pink rody that is blooming, i have a ground cover called ca nik nit. i don't know the spelling of it. it's purple and it is blooming, and i have crocuses up. my husband is in the process of building a 14x14 gazibo for me. in the winter we will put the outdoor funriniture in it instead of the garage. leaving more space in the garage. in the summper we will use it for what guest, or a craft area for me.
gary i love the pics of the dogs. are they golden retrivers? my brother-in-law and sister-in-law had four. over the years they have gone due to cancer. they had i belive 1 blonde, the color of yours and 3 reds. they have one red left. it's male and her takes him duck hunting. his name is roudy and he lives up to his name.
sunny how did you like CSI last night? it started out pretty gross again. i thought i was going to have to find something else to watch. survivor was interesting. does any one watch ER? i like how they keep going back and forth last night from one dr. to the other. what do you think is going to become of the two of them?
well need to go my mother is coming over. i need to fix my husband something to eat. he took part of the day off to work on the gazebo.
have a fantastic friday. enjoy your your parteners. if you don't have one. enjoy the time by yourself. treat yourselves well.
kind regards,
mary m
wilma12 02-26-2005, 05:42 PM I had a nice message typed up yesterday and lost it so here I am again.
It's been an eventful week for me and my family. My son's fiance found an apartment. She moves into it next week sometime. It's a spacious 1 BR and they are so excited about it. Now we have to find them some furniture to go in it. she has most of her kitchen things - just needs a couch and other misc. things. It'll be fun shopping!
Youngest DS has found a job! PTL!! He will be doing telephone tech support. This isn't his career choice but at least he has a job until he decides what it is he is supposed to be doing.
DH has been gone for a week. He came home last evening and left this a.m. again. He drives the winter roads in northern Manitoba. For those of you who don't know what that is I'll try to explain. During the winter the lakes and rivers freeze over and they build roads (ice roads) over these places and through the bush to get to the remote communties. (In summer you would have to fly into these places.) He delivers fuel to these place. They stock up their supplies during the winter because costs are very high to fly it in in the summer. It's a slow tedious drive but the money is good and the season is only approx. 6 weeks. They go back and forth without too much time off because of the short season. I don't mind it because I know it's not a long time.
I've been finishing what I can do in the decorating of our renovation. I still have a few things to get in place but will wait til I see something I really like. The cabinet guy (yes, I'm still waiting for him) told me yesterday that he'll be in next week to finish the job. I can hardly wait to see what it'll look like when it's finished.
I'm still exercising and eating properly. I plan to increase the time I spend walking next week. I look forward to seeing the results.
Well, better get some cleaning done. I just wanted to check in while I had a few minutes.

Gary, I do hope that you have a wonderfully *fun* day today for your birthday... how cool to have your birthday on a Sunday this year. I love it when mine lands on the Lord's Day (even though I am a Friday's child).
As for the pups... I always forget which is which :dizzy: sssssorry :sorry: 'bout that... I'll try to do better. I like it when people get my boys straight ;) Those pups are sure beautiful!! And very well cared for... so good to see :D I wish we could have one... but can't where I live :(
Thanks for taking the time to share about your new home... I have been telling Joe about it and he enjoyed the fact that I had stats to give him ;) You guys... ... It sounds like such a beautiful home and a great new start in a nice community. I myself, love the desert... once you both add your personal touches it will look wonderful! As for upgrading in size... that's okay... you need to plan for the future if you are making this your last move (?) --- future *In-Laws* & *Grandchildren* ;) I love Ranch homes (no stairs!), I am so happy for you both! Are you two planning on staying there into retirement (not making any other moves)? Will Angie get a new teaching job there? And to be only 2 miles away from all those fun stores ~ perfect! :D
Hi Nancy, Nice to see you back :flow1: And to hear that you are down 7lbs! :bravo: Awesome girl! What a great start... keep up the great job!
I am so sorry to hear of your poor health :( I am dealing with some health issues myself right now. You shudda seen what I had to drink this morning :p Yuuucckkkk!! :p You know I have to be desperate to be trying all these green drinks :faint: Anyway, I do hope that you are well on the way to mending... you may want to rethink going to the Dr. for your Gall Bladder, maybe he can recommend you to a nutritionist to help you? Sometimes when people diet and skip meals (not a good thing to do-skipping meals) they begin to have gall bladder problems, because the stomach begins to produce more acids... I hope that's not what's going on with you ;) If you don't want to go to the Dr. Maybe check out the web site WebMD (just google it)... you may be able to get some good advice there ;) Feel Better... {{{Hugs & prayers}}} for you :goodvibes
Hi Mary (craftymom), Yes! *CSI* was gross  but I still enjoy the show quite allot. As for *ER* it was really good! I liked the way that they drew in the two areas (the War & the ER) and showing you that there wasn't much of a difference in what they did... and that soon the couple will see one another again --- Great show!
So how far has your hubby gotten on building your gazebo? As for your unusually warm weather... I'd take it in a heartbeat & so would my hubby. He comes home everyday lately complaining about the lack of sunshine and the cold here. Your gardens sound so lovely... I cannot wait to see our flowers come up this Spring. I can't wait for Spring!
Hi Wilma, Sounds like life is treating you well ;) Bummer, isn't it... when you get a nice letter typed up and lose it. Glad to see you gave it another go :)
Yeah :cp: wonderful to hear that your son's fiance found an apartment... are you shopping with her to fill the place? Oh what fun!!! *Linens N Things*... here they come  Also happy to hear that DS got a job :cp:
I didn't know what your DH did for work... I am glad you explained it to us, thanks! Do you ever worry about him when he's gone for so long? I would be worried sick I'm afraid... but you probably have grown use to what he has to do, huh.
When you get that kitchen finished up --- will you share some pictures with us? I sure would like to see :D

I wasn't able to go to church this morning... I really miss going!!! :(
I'm still homebound with these new drinks (need that bathroom :o - |
