I am on Day 12 of the Rapid Start Plan (started Jan 31) and I have been following it to the book, no cheating - which is a first for me because I've never ever made it even remotely close to finishing the first 2 weeks on Atkins, South Beach - nothing.

So I started Day 1 at 247.5 lbs. I know much of that was water weight, cause I was down 5 lbs overnight. I was 236 starting week 2, and then went down to 235, and have been at 235 for 5 days now!! I thought the first 2 weeks you were supposed to lose a lot, then it would slow down and I'm already stalled and I feel so frustrated. I have worked out every single day, except tuesday i needed a break. I've been alternating Tae bo every second day, and then my elliptical, walking or WATP on the other days.

I eat exactly what is in the food guide for the plan, i've measured out things when necessary and make sure to find out what 1 serving is. I've never eated so many vegetables in my life. Why do I feel stuck? I'm getting married in June, and I only have until the beginning of May to lose as much a I can, before my dress goes in for alterations.

Does anyone have any advice for me other than just stick it out and hope the scale starts moving?

Honestly I think you've done well with losing 12 lbs over 12 days even though most of it was in the first week. I think you will see the scale start to move again soon. Is it TOM or anything that might be adding water weight? Good for you though for sticking to the plan when you've had a tough time with other plans. Wish I had more advice but I guess all I can say is to stick with it.

Hey there,

Jen's right you are doing well and you just need to stick with it! My advice put the scale away! It's one of the hardest things for me but I feel so much better when I'm not obssessing over that number. Choose a weigh in day and time and once a week take your scale out weigh your self, write it down and put the scale away.

Your weight can change for any number of reasons within several pounds. There will be weeks when everything went your way and you got in all your exercise and ate right on target and you body will hang on to those pounds. Don't sweat it, just keep plugging away and you'll see the pounds fall away.

Reward yourself for doing well, not just when the scale goes down. Anything; even something as simple as putting a star on your calendar every day or every week you stick to your plan and exercise. Whatever helps you see your commitment and progress. It's more than just a number on the scale. It's treating your body with the kindness and respect you deserve and fueling it with healthy foods.

You are doing great. I'm very glad this is working for you, stick with it it will be worthit in the end!

It is confusing. I lost 7 lbs the first week and it has taken me over 4 weeks to lose 3 more!! I say put the scale away too, judge on how your clothes fit.
