I just got my copy of The Ultimate Weight Solution! And I'm getting ready to go curl up on the couch and read the first chapter! But first I thought I'd post here and ask my questions!

How Has this book helped you out?
How much Weight have you lost so far?
What's the biggest change you've noticed?
What has been the hardest part for you?

Hi Jaque,

I have been reading and following the book since around September. I am on my third read trhough. I nee dto get back into it and finish the dicussions going on the "revisited trheads"

But in answer to your questions :
1) This book has shown me it's ok not not be satisfied with my body image and that my body image is different than my self image. There are things I can do and can control so that weightloss is possible.

2) I had my son 8/23. I cam home form the hosiptal at 235, by 9/6 I was 224, I began to really dig into Dr. Phil's plan then. I am currently at 197, so since September when I really started trying I've lost 27 pounds. I am at my lowest in 8 years or so.

3) My atitude is the biggest change. I have always been pessimistic and self downing. I have embraced "right thinking" and I no longer have to work hard at it. It's how I think all the time now and it feels good. It makes difficult days so much mroe tolerable and when I make a mistake I don't feel like I've blown it all, I know it can be corrected.

4) I have a hard time following the eating plan laid out in the book. I don't have the other books, just the first one. The divide my plate in fourths method doesn't work well for me. I get high response cots, low yield stuff all confused. I follow WW points. I choose foods that are "worth the points", to me a twinkie is not worth the points when I could have a nice serving of sphaghetti and whole wheat bread for the same or similar amount of points. So in the end I am choosing the foods that are better for me, the ones Dr. Phil would approve of.

I have enjoyed the book and many of the thoughts and changes carry over to other areas of my life. I am happier and more pleasant to be around b/c of it. Hope this helps.
