Lisa,

I have enjoyed his book. It is very much the same advice he gives on his show, but I really like having it there in my hands. I like being able to read and reread it, take notes, and fill out the audits. He includes alot of great annologies and stories of his former patients to make points clearer and more real. There are some parts that have really made me chuckle and osme have made me tear up. It feels as though he really gets it and what lif eis like for those who struggle with weightloss.

I have learned to really examine my self image as well as my body image. I understand that setting real goals will help succeed and that I am worth the effort.

If you are looking for a specific diet plan you won't find it. I have heard there is one in his companion book, but I don't have it. He gives you a method of dividing your plate into fourths and filling it with good choices from certain food groups. This doesn't work for me yet, I combine his advice on thinking, exercise, etc. with my WW flex points plan. I have been doing WW for so long it's second nature, it has been a hard habit to break. Since the combination has been "working for me", I'm happy to continue this way.

I would recommend it. It's not a on or off kind of diet plan like so many things out there. It encompasses your entire life. I am sure there are those out there who don't like it, but in my opinion it was worth the money and I find it to be a helpful tool.

Check out the Chapters Revisited threads. Several people had great insight, it may help you. We haven't really had much time since doing Chapter 2 b/c of the holidays, but I am sure the other chapters will fill up soon, since Angel put up the threads for us.

Hope this helps, Misty

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it. I'm going to get the book. I also do WW and have done so on and off for years now. I did lose 50 lbs on WW in 4 months but fell into depression and gained it back, here I go again. I'm sick of this weight. Inside me there is a skinny me screaming to get out and it's time to unleash the chains and let her roar! hehe
