I breezed through this chapter and this key. I have had a field day trying on and tossing out clothes. I ask my husband if something fits me or if it's to big. If he says it's too big into the pile it goes. I have cleaned out three HUGE computer boxes of clothes, I am wearing stuff I wore in collge and even that is getting too big lol. EventuallY iw ill run out of clothe sthough LOL.

I have tossed out a freezer full of junky food. I keep one box of low fat or fat free icecream and I alot my self points to have that if I want. If I know I have the points there for it I don't binge on it I just eat my portion and am happy. If Josh brings home snack I make sure he chooses stuff I don't like so I am not tempted to eat it.

This so far was the easiest key to master. It made alot of sense. I have eliminated cues by not having the junky stuff in my house, I substitute activites that are not eating friendly, and I plan ahead when we shop or eat out. Planning ahead for eating out ha sbeen hard b/c Josh will often wait until the last minute to decide if and where we are eating out. He gets frustrated with me when I can't decide what to have for lunch b/c I am tryingto figure out if we are eating out for dinner. He wants to just focus on the meal at hand. He is startingto see my logic and has started being much more helpful.

I thought it would be alot harder to create a fail safe environment, but really it has gone well.

This is a key I have problems with because my husband wants treats and I don't feel that I shou'ld completely rid the house of them because I am trying to lose weight. I try not to keep a lot around, like maybe one box of cookies at a time and stuff like snack cakes I buy once in awhile for his lunches. I don't think it is fair to deprive him of what he wants because I need to lose weight. Also I don't think I shouldn't give my son treats once in awhile though he is quite into eating fruits and veggies as readily as eating cookies. Having 'forbidden' foods around the house is more like real life than completely eliminating all of them. I need to develop self control so that I don't eat them so that when I am faced with treats at work or at a restaurant I will be able to make the smart choices.

As for clothes I don't really have that many I could throw out because they are my fat clothes. Believe me I will be thrilled to chuck out the fat clothes I have when I can fit into smaller sizes!
