Great idea to do all the posts at once. We can post as we go and refer back to chapters. With the holidays it will be ahr dt o keep everyone on the same page.
I can't put in all my thoughts on these chapters right now, AJ, my DD, is tearing apart the livingroom I just picked up and Ben, my DS is happily playing in his pack and play, but who knows for how long. I just wanted to thank you for leading us all trhough this book and tell you I look forward to hearing more of yor great insight.

I am fianally able to comment on these chapters lol. Took me long enough huh?
I had a difficult time with the audit. Mostly b/c I have taken it before and anyone who has tried weight loss plans before knwos what you are "supposed to say". I honestly didn't find it all that helpful. I know I am ready b/c I have been working on this isnce September and I am succeeding!
Chapter 4: Key One
This has to be one of my favorite chapters. I have really focused on this and I think I have unlocked this door. I have foudn that I am able to apply it to so many other areas of my life. "What you believe about yourself is dramatically important because it guides and directs your weight management efforts" This is so true. Once I embraced postive belifes about myself and my abilities I was able to conquer so many obsticles.
I did the Audits and found that I have a high internal attricbution of locus of control, a moderate attribution to external locus of control and a low attricbution to of weight control to chance. I have to be aware not to over internalize hings according to the results of this audit.
On Internal Dialogue Audit here are my results:
Write down what you say to yourself about these topics:
• Appearance I am sloppy. I could look a lot better if I put some effort into it.
• Body Shape My body will never be super model slim, I have wide hips and I am short.
• Ability to manage weight I have failed in the past because I have been too lazy to follow through
• Exercise level I used to enjoy moving, now I avoid it at all costs.
• Self Control I have very little self control
• General Health I am lucky to have youth on my side or I’d be a mess b/c of my weight
Next look over your writing. How would you describe the overall tone? Negative but realistic really. What does your writing tell you about your WLOC? Is your self talk oriented internally or externally? I definitely have an internal WLOC. I can see that I can improve on things.
Next Dr. Phil covers maximizing your weightloss throughs elf talk. He lists the 10 most common self defeating messages. I foudn that I used anumber of them in the past. It was quite a reality check. But I have been "challenging" my internal dialogue and I find that it has changed alot. I am real about it, I am honest about it but I am not negative to teh extent I was before.
This key has been a major hurdle for my to master, but I feel that I have and b/c of that I feel I am succeeding where in the past I failed.
