Hi. Just thought we should start a new thread as the other was getting so long.
Phyllis - you should be a writer. You are so funny. . I am still laughing, although it is not funny. You explain it so well, I can just see it. What a surprise to find yourself somewhere you never thought you would be. I hope that the med. is helping you with the pain, however. Did the shot help yet? You must be having some nice warm temps. there in Texas right now. Here it is cold - only about 42 above and dull. Hope my sunshine comes back soon.
Meme - Wow, you look great. That is also a very nice pooch you have with you. It is nice to see pictures so we can envision whom we are talking to.
Let us know when you have your new web page going. I suppose Tennessee is also nice and warm. Only cold spot must be here.
Candice - Nice pictures. Still think you look like a kid. Good picture of you and your mom as well. Did the shot help your arm? I sure hope that the pain goes away soon.
Ally - Buy what you feel good in and enjoy wearing it. I don't think it does any of us any good to want to buy size 10 clothing when we wear a 14 or 16 or whatever. Just do the best with what you have. I know one lady that has always been heavy (she is probably about 45 now) and she always looks great. She dresses with such pizzazz I am jealous of her. She is one attractive lady. See, it isn't about size, it is about being comfortable in our size. I think we all have to relearn this as we get older. Hope you are not overdoing the exercise. To much walking can be so very hard on the knees so I found out!
What are you all doing for Easter. I am having company (20 - 25 people) for easter dinner. Always have done this, but it does get to be a bit more tricky each year with all these stupid pains that pop up out of nowhere. But will do the best I can. Started baking today, and will finish tomorrow. Will make a chocolate cheese cake on Saturday. Still have to get the turkey etc. but that is this weeks shopping spree. Have no room in the freezer to stuff him right now.
Take care ladies.

OK...All of you look younger than me. And thinner too.
So if I can ever figure out how to get a picture posted here, you can be sure it'll be one from my younger thinner days.
I just had to name a "celebrity" that I thought I looked like and years and years ago, people thought I looked just like Sissy on Family Affair. Chipmunk cheeked, big smile, brown shiny hair.
Well, I still have brown hair.
My face thinned, but not the rest of me.
Now, I look more like Mr. French.
Tootie......Is that the neurontin causing your sleep washing? Be careful that you are not out foraging thru the cupboards. Throw out those Twinkies and Little Debbie cakes.
I could only eat those in my sleep anyway.
Although I did kill of a corner of an Entemanns cake on Saturday.
We had our first warm day here yesterday with way too much wind mixed in. That is NY weather. We consider ift a good day if it is not snowing. We ignore the fact that garbage cans are blowing around.
I did get in a few good walks.
Back to rain today.
Candicej

And we have had such nice weather...cut I couldn't do much in the yard without makeing my arm worse so I didn't stay out long. WE are in for lots of rain and severe weather this week...the yard already needs mowing! How am I gonna grip the wheel! My son will help, that is one of his jobs!
Anne.....I couldn't cook a meal for all those people..can't even cook for me right now! I love Turkey are you roasting it or grilling it? Set a place for me! So I look like a kid to you..must be the long hair!:D
Toots...where is your picture..I want to see the one of you sleep washing in the shower!
Ally...I pictured you kinda looking like Sissy, but with blonde hair!:) Funny how we think others will look when we just talk to them and don't see them!
Gotta rest this arm...I hate it!!!!!!!! I have too much to get done and this arm is slowing me way down for this time of year!:(
Hi Meme......Hows Sammy????He's so cute!

Thanks for all the compliments but young skin does not make up for old bones! If it did, Candice would be doing cartwheels!!!
I wish I could lose some of this weight but lately all I've wanted to do is pig out on carbs!!!
As for the web site...it is getting there but going slow. There is soooo much involved to a business site! Soon as I have it finished I want you all to be the first to check it out and tell me what you think! I had this on another site, a free site, but it never did do any business. This time I'm trying to do it right! I'm having an order form and taking credit cards and listing it with search engines, etc. A LOT of work and even more time!
It is supposed to rain here for the next 3 days...oh joy...more pain!
tootie
04-10-2001, 03:23 AM
I hope, ladies that I do not have a repeat of what happened last night!! A few days ago, I found myself sort of in the closet {it's a walk in} and I atributed it to just uneasy and jumping legs. Which I have now, can't sit still.
So yes the pain in the thigh and leg is much better. This morning I needed no crutch or walking stick. But as the day wor on, it slowly came back to the thigh and knee.
But if I experience anything like that again, I assure you I'll stop taking neurontin.
Maybe I can skip a day and see what happens.
Can't send a picture to this board, but if you want me to send to your email, just list it and I will send what I have.Remember ladies, I don't have a puter.

No rain today so I got in two good walks after work and after dinner. And I ate pizza so I figured stupidly that I could walk that off.
Now I am really in muscle pain. Do you hear me banging my head on the computer desk???
Dumb, Dumb.
I just want to get rid of some flab and I want to take advantage of this nice weather.
I am as impulsive as my kids.
Candice...you just think I'm blonde cause I can't do the graphics. And Meme it is Netscape....how do I switch?
I enjoy seeing your graphics....that's enough for me now.
Picture me brown haired and befuddled....
MemeToo
04-11-2001, 02:11 AM
Ally...WHAT is Netscape? If you are talking about switching from Netscape to IE you just go to one of those links I posted on the first page of thread #17 for Candice and click on it and then download IE to your computer. There will be a "download" link on the link page. Just click on it and it will guide you through downloading IE.
I am hurting soooo bad. I called the rheuatologist in Nashville this morning and asked if I could get a prednisone dosepak but they never did call back. I sure hope they do tomorrow...gotta have something for this pain. I have way too much work to do...more than I sould be doing plus it is supposed to rain here the next couple of days.
As for what am I doing Easter, we are going to our son's for dinner...everybody is taking something. Actually I dread it...rather come home and rest!
Oh, by the way... Sammy is a girl. I wanted a girl dog but Ross wanted to name the new puppy "Sammy"...hence a girl named Sammy! Guess I should have spelled it Sami but I didn't think about it at the time.
The picture below if for Ally...:D
P.S. I have a "bank job" to do Thursday! :D (Mystery shopping job that is) It pays $20 for 15 minutes of work...my kind of job!!! Plus...I have a contract in Nashville to do a Hampton Inn job on the 20th. We get a $119 room and breakfast FREE!!! And all I have to do is write down the host names and the breakfast server's name and do an on-line audit telling if they were courteous, etc. Shouldn't take but about 10 minutes max! I'm still doing Shoney's restaurant every week...'bout to get tired of eating there!
Candicej
04-11-2001, 02:29 AM
Meme..it's raining here to and some severe stuff! I have a male cat named Sami Jo..he was named when we got him! I also have a son named Sammy(Samuel) but we spelled that one right!
Toots..you have my email address don't you?????? I would love to see you! Glad you haven't had anymore sleeping washing spells!
Ally.....You sure you aren't blonde?????? Meme put a cute picture of you on here didn't she!(But it was a male I think!):) Are you really female???????
Hi Anne...are you ready for your big dinner?
Meme here is a rainbow for you!:D From this old bag of bones!
MemeToo
04-11-2001, 03:39 PM
Thanks for the rainbow...but it hasn't started to rain here yet! They pushed it back a day...today was unbelievable...we set a new "high" record today. It is in the 80s here. I took Jenna out on the back deck to play and we wound up staying out there for 3 hrs. I took my pictures out there and got them all sorted and put in order to start scrapbooking...even got the first page in my new album done. Anyone else do any scrapbooking? My d-i-l does parties for "Creative Memories" and got me interested in it about a year ago. I bought all this neat stuff, brought it home and put it in the closet...been there ever since. I cleaned out the closet a few weeks ago and found it and all my pictures I've been meaning to sort so I got started on it all today. It's kind of fun. I'm only SIX YEARS behind on putting my pictures in albums!!! I have some from Christmas in 1995...I have 2 of hubby's shoe boxes (size 13) packed FULL! I'll never get caught up! But at least with scrapbooking you just use the best ones...not like I always did before and put just about everything we shot in an album...I have EIGHT already full like that! Guess I get carried away with the camara!

I posted a nice long letter (the kind Candice likes) and lost it. So will attempt to do it again.
Meme - Me, I do Creative Memories and really enjoy it. I have done a holiday album and am doing my daughters album now - unfortuneatly haven't had it out for quite some time, and am only on her 4th year. Will go faster now, as didn't take nearly as many pictures as when she was a baby(lol).
Candice - Why do you think your arm isn't getting better? Did the shot help at all?
Ally - Who takes who for the walk Ally, you or your dog?
You are so funny. Doing the graphics are so easy here. If you want help, just e-mail me at happycanuk.hotmail.com and I shall be more than happy to help you out.
Phyllis - I like what Candice calls it - sleep washing! . I hope that the meds won't continue to affect you that way. Do they help with the pain? You did say you were able to go without your cane now, didn't you?
Well all, this is shorter, so maybe you luckedout.
Here is my terrible graphic for the day. I think it is hilarious myself, but then ......
Have a nice evening everyone.

Well, my excuse tonight is that I still have kids waiting for the computer. They have to send thank you notes to my brother and sister in law for gift certificates for their birthdays. They are the ones who gave us this computer. I do have a very generous brother. Now he knows his computer, Meme and he THINKS I do, so I have to sneak questions to his wife.
I might have to leave well enough alone for now. One of my kids tried to get a new master screen name but I am way too smart for that. Yeah. They sent me a message. He says he didn't know what he was doing.
I got stuck in the city today and had to walk and walk to waste time and find food. Had my work shoes on and now have blisters and total aches. I bought a bottle of Migraine Motrin. They worked pretty darn good.
I think I might have dropped a pound. My bra feels loose and that is where I would lose it first.
SO now you know that I am NOT blonde and NOT buxom.

happy I use a walking stick!!thank you very much! and a crutch sometimes. I think the neruontin was helping with the pain but I don't know if I can take 300 mg. right off the bat. I know I sleep walk with this as odd as it sounds, but it was not nice finding my self in the shower at 2 am in the morn.
A nigt before that I found my self in a walkin clothes closest.
Last night I left the Neruontin out of my meds.
What I was experiencing was that if I sat to catch something on the TV, my head would go down and feel like I was passed out.The doctor was out for the holidays.
Same thing last year, when I lost all that blood. One year ago this week, and I have not been the same as prior to blood transfusions.
This will be a nice holiday, having my daughter and her boy friend?visit for Easter. He seems nice and I hope she will settle down.
No sleep again so I have to try and lay down when the sleepiness comes around.
Happy did I tell you that thee is a bakery that is called CArmine's bakery in Daytona beach and makes NSA cream cheese cake. It's my treat at the end of the night.Still fluctuating, but i think it;s down 2 pounds.
I really need to get rid of this pain.

I'm not a happy camper I still think it is an infalmed
joint and tennis ellbow but since there was not much
improvement he wants an EMG test run and my last doc
would not run one because he said they were too painful
for Fibro patients! ( or anyone for that matter!) Does
anyone know about this or have any experience with this
test? :?:
He said an orthopedic doc would want to go in and look
around and I don't want that so the nuerologist is the
next step I guess. Well I'm not really seeing him just the
test and if something should happen to show up then I
will have to see him..but nothing will cause it never does!
(well almost never!):D My doc said another shot might
help in a different place in the elbow but wouldn't give it
untill I had this test done. What do ya think? I hate
having tests done and seeing more docs...I'll never
beable to work in the yard! Need your advice
gals????????
It's hurting bad gotta get off here!

Candice, have you tried any NSAIDS? Like vioxx or naproxen? My hubby had what sounds like a similar pain in his elbow/arm several months ago...couldn't sleep at night (and for him that is some pain!) He would just get up and walk the floor it hurt so bad. The Dr. put him on vioxx and within a week it was all but gone. Some Alieve might help. Another thing that might help is putting your arm in a sling for a few days so that you aren't using it at all. I've done that before and it really helps. At night when you lay down lay on the side that doesn't hurt and put a pillow up against you then lay your arm on that, for some reason when you allow your arm to just "hang down" at night it makes it hurt a lot worse. Another thing, have you tried anything "topical" like flexal or osteo-bi-flex (my personal favorite)...they don't smell too good but they help sometimes.
Go here to read about the EMG...almost sounds like it would make you hurt a lot worse, doesn't it?

Easter joke
A Chicken and an egg are lying in bed. The chicken is leaning against
the headboard smoking a cigarette, with a satisfied smile on its face.
The egg, looking a bit pissed off, grabs the sheet, rolls over, and says,
"Well, I guess we finally answered THAT question."

 ...I have laughed until there are tears in my eyes!!! I bet the egg was a "girl"
Thanks Anne, I've had a really stressful day and I needed that laugh!

Duh...???????? Took me long enough to get Annes' joke! I think I got it anyway cause Meme thought it was funny! The egg had to be a female!LOL
Thanks for the info....I have tried Vioxx and it didn't help and made me retain fluid so the doc said to stop taking it..can't take asprin or anything like that.....Bothers my stomach too much! Tried topical stuff too.....it was a little better today so mabye it is just taking the shot longer to work????????
Went to that site and read up on it...don't like the sound of the after effects!!!!! I have had problems with the numbness and tingling in this arm for a long time..pain too but was always told it was jsut Fibro..now the doc wants to know for sure....so it is set for Tuesday....I'm chicken!( or am I the egg!) I'll never tell!

I loved that joke Happy. But no more references to sex as you know I am not having any.
Meme....I keep thinking about that job you have. Wish I could go try a Shoneys right now.
Tootie... What was that Cheesecake? People always think I know something about NYS Cheesecake, but I don't even like it all that much. I probably do, but just like Cadberry Caramel filled eggs....if I don't try it, I won't know I like it.
Candice....Oh I wish I could help you. When you all talk about these terrible terrible pains, I feel lucky to only have muscle aches. Sometimes I have whole parts of the day when all is good. Of course, those times I am sitting on my butt doing nothing...but still, I am doing so much better than I was a few years ago.
I hope you find relief...
Time for the old beloved to get here. He is such an idiot. My twins' brithday is Monday and he is so scared that I will get my controlling little fingers into their driver's licenses that he took time off to take them for their permits. Now he would never take time off for a Drs appt, but he wants to be their "buddy" so he will take time off for this. Well, I just found out it is $45 a piece and they have to take a test.
Let him find this out on Monday.

My BD is next week and I asked for a new computer and they just laughed at me! Today my son was here and went to turn it on and the moniter woked but nothing else so he checked all the hookups and everything seemed in the right place and tight so he just kept banging on it and if finally started up! Must be a short circut he said! So if I just disappear for awhile you know why!
I did light yard work for a few hours today....so nice out no humidity:) but my arm is killing me! I didn't use it much either. Next week it wil be cooler and some rain so I need to back out there Sat. too! My son helped me out alitte we filled some holes the dog dug! She does it every year!!!!!!!
Better go for now...still hard to type:(

Candice...so sorry you are hurting so bad. Sounds like you've tried about everything. Maybe after the EMG they can figure out something to help you. I'm praying that it won't be too bad!!! Hope you don't disappear! We need your "sunshine"! :D
Speaking of my Mystery Shopping, we just ate at Shoney's tonight...had the seafood bar....soooo good! I ate more than I should have, too. They will get a good report this time...all except the bathroom...it was kind of grubby and one empty stall was locked...I told them about that at the desk. I did a "bank job" yesterday. (not a heist!) That was the easiest and best paying one for the amount of time spent I've done yet. It only took me 8 minutes inside the bank (I had to talk to someone about opening an account and judge how well they "helped" me...they didn't...she didn't seem interested in me opening an account so she is going to get in trrroouuble!!! BIG TIME!) The fictitious account was supposed to be a joint one for me and my aging mother and she even asked me if mom had an account at another bank and why I couldn't just add my name to that one! Sounded like to me she didn't want my business! I had to go right by the bank on my way to the Dr. , I was in there 8 minutes and it took me less than 10 to fill out the report and I got paid $20. I have a "hotel-job" (kinky) ;) next Friday night in Nashville. We will get our room ($119) free for about 10 minutes worth of work! I'm enjoying this job!!!
My daughter asked me tonight if I would keep Ross (4 yr old) for 13 weeks this summer...that would be a 2 yr. old and a 4 yr. old. I don't know what to do. They are having a hard time at the preschool. He comes home almost every day and says one of the teachers yelled at him or one of them "squeezed" his arm till it hurt, etc. He says they are mean to him and yell at all the kids. He said ALL the teacher went to sleep at nap time one day. I guess I'll wind up keeping him until he starts in Kindergarten in August. I figured up how much I'd get paid for the 13 weeks and it'll be enough to buy a lap top computer...I've been wanting one forever...if I just keep my sights on the goal and save all the money I get paid for him maybe the time will pass fast! :D
Well...I'm dog tired and it is 1 a.m. so guess I'll go to bed and try to sleep. I started a prednisone dospak yesterday and I'm wired to the hilt so I probably won't sleep any tonight anyway. I took SIX yesterday and FIVE more today...that's ELEVEN prednisone pills in 2 days! Hope it works...this pain is about to kill me and I stay sleepy all the time because I can't get any deep sleep. I just toss and turn and get up and walk the floor!!! And another loooong day tomorrow and Sunday...and Monday and Tuesday I have to clean house because I'm having a Pampered Chef party here Tues. night. Why or why do I get myself into these situations???
Say goodnight Gracie!
Candice is NOT going to like this!

Oh Meme...I know it is a hardship for you to take on another little one, but I can definitely say that child's stories are true.
My son had fingerprint bruises on his arm.....they fired the young girl who did it, but then a few weeks later the owner washed my son's mouth out with soap...and it wasn't even the one who supposedly talked back.
Long after day care was over and done with my kids told me about the "blue room"...this was a day care in the church and if you were bad you had to go in this room by yourself. It had lots of religious pictures on the wall, but they scared little kids. They told me that once they left a kid in there all day and forgot about him til an hour before parents were to arrive. They made all the kids promise not to tell.
They don't pay these people enough so they get workers who can't get a job anywhere else. It is a sad situation. Still at 16, a thought will pop into my kid's head and they will tell me a story about Kathy's day care and I will want to throw up.
Hope you can do it.

My arm is better and I even worked in the yard yesterday!:) I still have the appointment for the EMG but gonna cal Monday and ask questions. This arm have bothered me for years with numbness, stinging, tingling and PAIN so I'm wondering if the test might be a good idea even though My tennis elbow seems better!

They threatened my teaching certificate if I did anything in the discipline area! I guess some places are too strict and some too leanient! I was a great teacher!:)

It took forever to get on here today. Hope you are all well.
I had 20+ for dinner yesterday and it was like a day from hell. I had taken 2 tylenol 3's before going to bed. I must have had a reaction to the codeine. When I woke up at 5:30 to get the turkey in the oven, I was absolutely nausiated(?). I made the stuffing and then left it in the care of my hubby while I went back to bed. On the way, I threw up and felt a little better - for a little while. After about and 1 1/2 my husband brought me some Pepto-bismo and wondered if that would help. Took some and stayed in bed until 9:00 a.m. Thank goodness by son and daughter were both here. They helped clean up the house (last minute bathroom clean etc.) and help with dinner. I couldn't eat anything or drink anything. Just felt terrible the whole day, and then because of the above, ended the evening with a terrible headache. Today I woke up feeling great. I know I should not take codeine. Have had a problem with that before, but I guess I didn't eat enough food with it .
I am trying an old med. that I took before I had back surgery. They are called MEP282 - a bit of asprin (which can be bad for me) muscle relaxer (good one). I used to like it because it worked, but then my stomach wasn't near as sensitive. Hope it does work. Will try it this week and see. Just a little leary about meds after the other night. That was worse than the pain. I HATE being sick to my stomach!!!!!
Anyway, dinner was fine, and as the day wore on I felt better until the headache started. Enjoyed seeing everyone. My nephew and his wife came, and we haven't seen them for 5 years at Easter. My other nephew lives in Hong Kong and we thought he might make it, but couldn't. One day, we may have everyone together again.
Candice - good to hear that your arm is finally starting to feel better. I know you are just itching to get out in your garden. When is your birthday, please!
Meme - Busy, busy Meme. Hope your weekend was good. Looking after the kids is great for the kids and parents but what about your health? Who looks after Meme?
Ally - Hi. Hope you had yourself a good weekend. Hope you went to some kind of party and had a really good time.
Phyllis - Hi. Hope your feeling better. How was your visit with your daughter and her boyfriend? When is it you are going to New York?
Well ladies take care.

Happy...I have tylenol with codeine from something too and I get a little sick when I take it too.
It is too bad for you that it happened on a Holiday. I don't think I could do a meal for 20 anymore. I get too stressed out just thinking about it.
Today was my twins 16th birthday. A friend and her son wanted to do something together but that too was way too much. My kids were hyper (they just got their permits) they would rather have been home driving my car so were sort of rude and obnoxious. Dinner at Red Lobster for 5 of us was over a hundred dollars and my kids insisted they were still hungry when we left.
I used to go with the flow and just carry on all pleasant and nice but today I was on the verge of an outburst every 5 seconds.
I have found that I am much more prickly than I ever was in the past. I prefer quiet times, I have found that crowds, even restaurants with a larger group are too much stimuli.
WOnder if this is age or Fibro.
ANd I had M&Ms last nite. COuldn't make it thru the Holiday without a slip up.
AND.....I really thought I had lost a few pounds, but had to get out of my jeans after lunch. Couldn't breathe.
Candice and Tootie..How are your shots doing?

Anne....so sorry you were sick...I have taken Tylenol #3 too and it makes me sick and anxious and tired! So the doc said to cut it in to 3rds or 4ths and see if that would just take the edge off so that is what I do but don't take it very often! Glad your better!
Meme...smells bother me so much and it doesn't even have to be strong! Hope you feel better soon...cute picture...your grandkids???????
Ally I know just what you mean about the people and activily level of others making you feel bad....that is why I don't teach any more...couldn't take the light and noise and movement of the classroom. I just don't do too much anymore at all just like to be by myself at home! So much less stress on my body!
Toots , how are you..still using your stick! ( for walking that is!!!LOL)

It snowed a little here this morning, too and it was nearly 90 one day last week! I'll be so glad when it gets warm for good!
Anne, I had the same thing Saturday. Must be a virus or something. My stomach hurt so bad I was doubled up on the couch most of the day. Felt better after I threw up, too but still was sick enough I couldn't do anything much. Yesterday I had a headache all day so now I'm having to do all the cleaning, etc. today. And everything that could go wrong has gone wrong. My d-i-l called this morning wanting me to keep her kids for an hour (which turned into 2). So I had three kids (2, 3 & 5) and then broke a 32 oz. glass in the kitchen floor while they were all here. After they left the baby pooped in her pants and came through with it on both hands saying "Poop-poop, Meme, see!" She had wiped it on her shirt, too. The bedroom door jumped out and tripped me...nearly broke my toe. I gave my golden a bath last night and when I got up this morning my bathroom was wall to wall hair...guess that means it is spring, huh? So I had all that to clean up before 7 a.m. I'm still on the prednisone dosepak and so jittery I drop everything I pick up...I hate feeling like this! I will be soooo glad when this day is over!!!
Candice, yes, grandkids. Left to right is Jenna (2), then her brother Ross (4), then Garrett (almost 6...going on 16) and then Kaylyn (3). They were acting silly but I still thought it was a cute picture. It was at Jenna's BD party hence the Blue's Clue's hats. I made me a desktop pic. for my 'puter with that one. I made my daughter one for her 'puter at work the other day that really turned out good. I took a pic. of Jenna and her daddy and pasted Ross in to it and wrote on the top "Hi Mommy, We love you." Here it is if you would like to see it. http://www.design-max.net/MarkRossJenna.jpg It is big enough to stretch across her whole screen...I left room on the left side for her icons. I love doing stuff like that.
Well, guess I'd better get back to work. Ally, your troubles with the twins has just begun...driver's license, YUCK...I remember those days! Don't know which was worse, then or now!!! Tootie, are you still taking the Neurontin? Still sleepwalking??? It just makes me sleep, I wouldn't mind walking, though, I've been running here lately!!!

Where is everybody?
Well...the party is over and I'm sooooooo glad! I'm taking today OFF! NO WORK! We (hubby and I) cleaned up the mess in the kitchen and living room last night then he vacuumed and I cleaned the kitchen floor so my house is immaculate...now...if it would just STAY that way!!!
Between the two of us we sold over $500 worth of Pampered Chef stuff. Not bad, huh? Daughter got outside orders where she works and I had the party and invited (had one outside order) and there are still three people who said they wanted to buy something so we may get up to the $600 level before it is all over. There is so much of that stuff that I'd like to have I don't know what I'm going to get with my points...plus I'm getting one item for 1/2 price, too. Have any of you ever see their stuff? They have this big round cooking "stone" that I want. It has a rack and pizza cutter, etc. with it. It's over $50 so I may get that for 1/2. Then I want the food chopper and a couple of other things! Decisions, decisions!

Hi Meme. My daughter had a Pampered Chef party last summer and I bought that big round baking stone! I have used it, probably 3 times. We don't eat a lot of Pizza anymore, since the kids left. I think before that it was a staple in the food chain(lol). I think some of the stuff is ok, but it is sure overpriced. You can buy the same thing at the store for less than half what they want. Also didn't find the quality that good. Bought that lemon juice thing also. Don't know if I really like it though. My daughter bought the soap foam container and that is ok. With little kids, it saves a bit of mess I think. I did buy the wooden spoons and I really like them. They do not stain, just like they said. Nice to get the house cleaned up and then relax a bit, isn't it? I have floors to scub today. My son-in-law and granddaughter stayed until Tuesday so didn't get any cleaning done - just seemed like a BIG ton of washing - mostly sheets and towels. Got that done Monday. Feel much better today - now just tired.
Candice - Are you able to post? Sure hope your hubby and sons get you a new computer for your birthday. That is probably wishful thinking, but I an wishing it for you. Hope you are not overdoing it with your arm.
Ally - I remember when my daughter (she is the oldest) got her drivers license. She drove away in the little truck my husband had at the time, and I cried. I remember that well. She was grown up! I think, as much as we want our kids to be independent, Mothers still want them to be their little kids forever. My son was 26 yesterday, and I can hardly believe that either. Just seems not long ago he was this little towheaded boy.
Phyllis - She can't get on here to post. She had a great visit with her daughter and is leaving for NY on Tuesday for a week. Just so you all know that she has not forgotten us. Parts of her are feeling better she says.
Well ladies, hope you are all having a good day. I went to the Chiro yesterday and also had a 1/2 massage. Felt great. A little sore today, but will feel a lot better tomorrow.
