Good morning, ladies! Glad to see some of you up and about this morning. I really shouldn't be here, I have so much to do today. Honey and I are leaving for our Niagara Falls trip in the morning and what did I do? Scheduled a full day of jobs! Nice!!! Would somebody please thump me on the head :rollpin: for being so stupid. Even if I physically get the jobs done, I still have to do all the paperwork for them. YIKES!
Katrina: "Englishtown" sounds like fun. I love flea markets, but most of them around here have turned into "vendor" selling places. In other words, it's not folks like you and me selling their junk, it's "vendors" who have bought stuff wholesale and are now trying to make a buck! :(
Julie: Glad to see you're still hanging out with us. You truely are inspiring.
BarbPA: Sooooo, you were hubby's entertainment for the night on your BIG A$$ ball! Too Funny! Did you get to the gym?
Steph: WOW!!! Good girl! You are definitely on a roll!
Michelle: I'm always logged into IM when my computer is on too. It doesn't sound like you had any time to chat anyway! Geez girl, take a break. Are you doing classes this summer too?
Terri: I'm about ready for that " can of whup-azz", believe me. *I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. [[[hugs]]] to you and yours.
Lisa: I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. That's a shame, but I kinda get how he feels about not going through a bunch of treatments at his age. [[[[hugs]]]] to you and your family.
Well, I'm running to try and get some stuff done. Love  you bunches!

Terri: I am a Mall of America expert. I lived there for about 7 years!!!!!! Literally, I lived right across the street from it and was there sometimes 5 times a week!
I would be happy to meet you there, even "sleep" with you in a hotel if you want to come with your church group! Not that you really know me either but we can fix that!

My Monday Motivation is written in the book study thread.
To sum up my thoughts for the day is....
You can't eat the whole thing... the whole bag ... if you don't take the first bite.
So just give up that one small first bite. Give up the "just one bite" and you have given up the whole thing.
Give up that first bite... and you will not be playing Russian Roulette with your success.
Give up that first bite... and there is no remorse to live with.
Give up that first bite... and replace it with PRIDE.
Yes... you may have to cry to give it up.
You may even have to throw it in the trash and waste it. :yikes:
BUT LADIES ... YOU ARE WORTH IT !!!!!
We say we would pay $500 for a magic pill.... but will you thow away a $1.59 ???
I hope so. I know it is hard. But we have to change...and there is no time like TODAY !!

Wow everyone seems to be doing so great.:goodvibes Even you Miss Melis! It takes way more guts to try than it does to succeed. Just remember to try every day. Then try a little more, then try a little harder and before you know it you wont be trying anymore, you‘ll be doing!. :goodluck:
I am sorry I haven’t been about much ladies.:sorry: I’ve been so busy. I’m trying to get a few things done and I’ve been getting rid of clutter and scrubbing walls and floors in my room, then painting it all…I am not far from done with the painting bit. I still have the post op clean up and then I get to paint my murals, and put in my furniture, and decorate! Heh it’s been a disaster so far though. Every time I turn around I am running out of paint or a roller is breaking on me, or the wrong color comes in. It’s been awful, but it is turning out beautifully. I think I am going to like it.:crossed:
I have also lost 34 pounds since March 7th!:cb: :cb::cb:I was waiting for that 30 pound mark for it to seem real. I am only thirty one pounds away from being bellow 400 pounds. I am starting to be able to actually see a difference when I look at myself in the mirror. It feels good to see the weight coming off. :cp:
I put up a new pic but I took it myself so it isn’t a full body shot. It was taken two weeks ago. The other one I still had all my hair, and the 34 pounds I’ve lost. Since then I’ve whacked all that hair off and lost a few pounds to boot. Bah, but I always look grim or pissy in pictures. Dunno why. I need to get some full body ones taken to track progress and post em.
Alright girls, I gtg, got to finish up that bedroom. Big hugs to everyone! :grouphug:I’ll try to keep more caught up. I hope everyone is doing well! :high:
Hugs,
Blue

Blue... are you counting that "EYE" photo as your new photo.? LOL
I sure hope not... it is cute.. plus a cute little saying taboot.... but where is the rest of it. LOL Where can we find YOU ???
CONGRATULATIONS on your huge weight loss. :bravo:
Your new room sounds like it is going to be very cool. I hope you post pics of it too.
LIsa... I also want to congratulate you too from the last thread. :cheer:
I too would pat myself on the back. GREAT JOB !!
Barbg.. I know you are still losing too. Keep up the great work. :high:
Steph... and you... Two big losses in a row... wow .. that is exciting. :dancer:
I know there are many others here losing too... but my alzeheimers won't let me remember all of you. Just know... when I read of your successes... it excites me!!

Hi ladies.
I hope eveyone had a great weekend. I don't have time to go and read all the weekends posts but I'll catch up when I can.
Blue, I'm so proud of you! I wondered what had happened to you because I hadn't seen you post in quite a while. You must feel great about your weight loss and before you know it you'll be under 400. :) Congrats!
As for me, I lost another 2.5 lbs this week making my total since 1/12/04 46 lbs. I went out this weekend and bought clothes. I fit in a 26/28 again. Yippee!!! Wearing clothes that fit and not the ones that are too big makes a real difference in people noticing that I've lost weight. Until now I think my weight loss was hidden in the bigger clothes. Things are still going great in that dept. I had my period this week (still do) and though maybe I wouldn't lose weight because of that but I did. I even went over my fat gram count a few times this week. I was very pleased this morning to say the least. In 2-3 weeks I'll be under 300! I'm stunned.
Talk to you all soon and I'll catch up when I can.

Sounds as if everyone is doing well. I went to the dentist today and found out that I have to have my top 2 wisdom teeth removed. Oh boy! Not looking forward to that at all. Other than that, things are still going well here. Gotta get ready for work now. Bye.

 Terri: We could bring our “huge *** green balls” along and roll around the hotel room!!! Or better yet the Mall. There is a lot of room to roll around in there. I used to walk there during the winter months for my exercise. I loved the second floor because it is carpeted and was easier on the knees and feet!!
What kind of food do you like? They have great Chinese and Mexican places in Bloomington. By the way, Bloomington is where the Mall of America is and I lived there for 28 years!!!! There are good hotels within walking distance of the mall too.
Congrats on your loss too, Lisa. A Mall of America Fall Fling would be fun – just not in August because the place is packed then. All of those kids getting school clothes. I live 2 ½ hours from the cities so I can be there most anytime!!! AND the Mall is only a few miles from the airport!!!
2Cute & BarbG, yep those are the auctions I love.
Barb G congrats on the loss. I bet bidding burns calories!
You are in my thoughts and prayers, Terri & Lisa.
The Swedish Invasion went GREAT. We had so much fun talking and laughing. I nearly floated away by 5PM from all the coffee I drank. My new plan is to go over there after I retire so I can stay for a month.
I have been reading Dr. Phil and will give you all my 2 cents worth later on the book thread.

Well, poop.
DH and I were just talking about making the trip north in August to shop for fall clothes - right before he heads back to school himself. I've already scoped out a Staybridge Suites hotel in the Eagan? area. That's what 2Cute had found for us in Tulsa and we really liked the quality and layout of the place.
We'll have to rethink the timing. How about the end of July?
And NO, I'm not driving with a huge azz green ball in the back of the car.
I've done 20 minutes on the airdyne tonight and just about ready for dinner. After that, I'm taking the dipstick dog for a nice walk.
Later!

Hello!
How are my favorite gals tonight????
All the talk of the Mall of America has me thinking about bringing my big a$$ ball and rolling around with you gals!! (ok, no balls). I have to travel out to MN a couple times a year for work. I am thinking I could find a reason to go for work and spend a day with you gals! Just a thought. :o If you'd have me of course! :)
Lucky - Glad to hear the Swedish invasion went well! :coffee:
Lisa - I am sorry to hear about your Grampa. Hugs! ~~~ Congrats on your accomplishments with your weight loss and will power!!
Terri - I am sorry to hear about your uncle. :grouphug:
Thin - THUMP!! Overdoing it as usual I see! :rollpin: :rollpin: Normally the rolling pin smile is used for dorky DHs! At least you have your trip to look forward to! Nope, I didn't make it to the gym this morning...but, before you say anything.....I came home and did 20 minutes on the exercise bike and attempted a bit on the big ball! :D So, mission accomplished for the day!
2cute - Loved the Monday motivation. I will remember that next time I am tempted to just take one bite!
Blue - Great to see you back here. I was wondering how you were doing! You are doing FABULOUS! Where is the pic? Didn't see it anywhere.
Ingrid - You too - WONDERFUL WORK!!! Keep it up!!
Pat - Good to see you popping in!
Steph - Sorry about the dental work! Yuck. DH just had 3 teeth removed. He was pretty sore for a day or two but bounced back quickly!
I received one of the sweetest things in the mail today......many of you know I use to teach....well, the last year I lived in FL I taught a wonderful 2nd grade class....I have kept in touch with a few people over the years and until today it didn't dawn on me that my favorite group of students are now SENIORS in high school! One of my dear little boys sent me an invitation to his graduation!!! I was so touched!!!
:)
Hubby just got home from a long day in NYC....gotta pay some attention to him.
Have a Great night!
Hugs!

:D 'Evening ladies! Just a quick note - gotta get my son in the tubby - he decided that he wanted to wear his peaches on his little tow-head :yikes: So I sent him with daddy, now I hear him crying  he must've bonked his head.
paperdoll - which casino do you like to go to? Don't work too hard this next week! :o
steph - good luck @ the dentist :lucky:
Lucky & Terri - I would  to see you guys roll around MOA on your huge a$$ green balls  I made the mistake - once and only once - of bringing my girls there to school shop in August! NEVER, EVER again!!!!!!! So, I'm with ya Lucky - definately, NOT in August. I'm about 1 1/2 hours from MOA . . .
Barb - you could always get another big a$$ green ball up here, then ya woulnd't have to travel with it :lol3: I personally would pay money to see a bunch of  crazy women doing that :twirly:
Talked to my Mom - Grampa is on his way out - will probably be tonight  so if you don't hear from me for a few days, don't think I've forgotten you
I want to THANK YOU ALL for making me feel so welcome - I know I've said it before :soap: but I have to say it again and again. You all have been such an unforseen blessing in the last couple of weeks. Thanks!!!!! :thanks:

Terri, Eagan's too far away. The traffic is awful on Cedar.
BarbPA that would be fun if you could come too.
By the way, do you all like to shop? Depending on your level of shopping the Mall takes more than one day to cover!!!! If you just want to walk around, one day can do it but if you want to check out all of the anchor stores, Macy's, Sears, Bloomingdale's and Nordstoms it takes longer.
All this talk of the Mall - I am getting teary eyed - I miss it!!!!
I have a wedding on July 31st so I couldn't be there then and I have a concert to go to on July 18th so that day is out too. Geez for someone who is usually raking and sawing I seem to be pretty busy in July!!!
It is pretty here in the fall - well, September - after that there could be snow at anytime.

I'm outta here for tonight! Good night!

Hi girls! I believe this will be my last check-in before leaving in the morning. I've got all of my 7 jobs done and my 7 reports that go with them. Guess you know what I did tonight.
That and a bunch of laundry. And of course of all nights I dropped something in the laundry tub so when I went down to hang up clothes I found the basement flooded. YIKES! Like I didn't have enough to do. Oh well, #1 son came down and helped me with the shop vac and the de-humidifier is running to help dry the place out. Only a couple of "clean" pieces have to be re-washed. :(
Well, my pretties, I managed to take a minute to myself today too and got my second hole in my ears pierced. Glad I didn't save it until "fun" friday as it was NOT fun!!! OUCH!!! It sure felt like she had poked a hole big enough to drive that freight train through! But it's done now, so I guess I'll live with it, eh???
No time for replies tonight but I have to say:
Michelle: I waited until after midnight to post especially for you.
:balloons:Happy Birthday, to you!
Happy Birthday, to you! :hat:
Happy Birthday, dear Michelle! :gift:
Happy Birthday, to you! and many more!:balloons:

I hope your day is the BEST !!!!
Thin... I hope you have a GREAT trip. I am soooo jealous !!!
When I come to Michigan in October I may have to go there myself.
Check out any specials they may be offering. ;)
hey... it is snowing in October there?? When is the fall foliage in Mich ???
Ingrid... you are on a roll. It is my dream to be under 300 again.
I remember MANY years ago.. a close friend asked me... "What would be hitting bottom for you?"... and I said... "I don't know.. maybe hitting 300lbs." Who would have dreamt that now my goal is to be 300lbs. :(
pat... don't work too hard for the next 8 days. I hope you can still peek in and post often.
Steph... Don't be too fearful of having your wisdom teeth pulled. All three of my kids had theirs out in their early 20's and they all did GREAT. I cut my wisdom teeth when I was 22 at the same time my son was cutting his first teeth. LOL
Lucky.. glad to hear your get together went well. Did the guys cook???
Is the weather colder in Minnesota than in Michigan.. and sooner???
I assume October is SNOW in Minn ???
Terri... I am glad to hear you like the Staybridge. There is also Springhill Suites by the Marriot... but I don't know what they charge.
Barbara... That was soooo sweet when your former student remembered you for his graduation. You must have made a good impression on this young man's life. You should feel proud. :smug:
Lisa... my prayers are with you and your family. I lost both of my parents last year and I can remember all too well those last days. :grouphug: We will be waiting for your return.
Okay friends... a quick update on my sister.
She is doing good. She had a doctor appointment today and he is pleased with her progress. She goes to another doctor next Tuesday and they will test her blood to see what her counts are now. They do want to test her for sleep apnea. (sp?)
Okay.. it is 2am and I have been reading and typing since Midnight so I have got to get off of here.
Terri.. did you see the American Idol special tonight.??
I liked getting to hear them sing "their" favorite song with NO JUDGING.
I think they all did a good job tonight.
George is going to Oklahoma University but is not from Oklahoma. I was surprised he did not mention his home state. I think he may have a thing for Jennifer.
Did you know that the hair dresser for American Idol is also from Okla ???
Do you have a favorite? My husband loves Diane. He likes a little meat on his gals. LOL
I did not like her shirt tonight. It was not flattering for her stomach.
But I did love the Hawaiian girls blouse. Darn... what is her name? Is she Camille or is the other one ?? I HATE losing my memory. LOL

Good morning ladies!
I'm cheerfully up and have done my general conditioning workout. I have a dentist appt at 8 so I don't have much time left.
Michele - Happy Birthday! :hb:
Thin - Have a great time! I have an earring in the top part of my ear along with two holes in the lobe. And yes they hurt!! How do people do all those other piercings???
2Cute - I only saw part of American Idol tonight since we didn't know it was on until after halfway. From what I saw, they were really good. And yes Diana's got a bit of pudge in the tummy area and that top didn't help at all. Jasmine is the other gal. I thought the last gal (I can remember Jasmine but not her name) who sang "Somewhere" was awesome.
Here's my tip of the day. Get up and move. MOVE IT! MOVE IT! MOVE IT!
Have a great day!
2cute2Bfat
05-04-2004, 10:35 AM
Terri.. I remembered Jasmine's name as soon as I signed off. LOL
It just wasn't worth getting back online for. LOL The last singer was Latoya. I think she is the best overall and continuously best singer. I miss Jennifer. She kept getting better and better. But I don't think she could win... people didn't seem to like her.
Thin... I forgot to mention your EARS !!! You are braver than me. LOL
I had my ears pierced as a teenager sitting on a bed with a needle and thread. :yikes:
I remember it as if it was yesterday. It wasn't all too smart. LOL
I won't do that again. LOL
Okay ... NO procrastination today !!!!!! I am going to go get busy.
But first TUESDAY TIP !!!!
Put your recovery FIRST !!!! There is always time for what comes first in your life.

Morning! Just two cents worth about the ear piercing. I had my first holes done for my 15th birthday. My cousin did them with a needle and a potato and ice cubes to freeze them. My girlfriend was going to do these second ones for me with a needle, but she said it was easier to just go have them done at a store with the gun. haha She knew what she was doing. One stick with the needle and I'd have been telling her to forget it!
Gotta run. See ya'll when I get back. Love  ya bunches.

A potato????????
2cute2Bfat
05-04-2004, 01:53 PM
I didn't use a potato or ice... I used clip clothes pins. OUCH !! That should have told me if this pain is LESS than the needle... I shouldn't be doing it. Duh !!
Thin... I think I was somewhere between 13-15.
Kat... I don't know what the potato was used for either. ?????
Possibly it was used like a cutting board. LOL Hold the potato up to the back of the ear and when the needle stuck into it then you could grip the potato instead of trying to hang on to a slippery needle to pull it through. ???
That string we used back then had to be soooo sterile... NOT !!!! I remember having to soak it with alcohol or peroxide or something all the time.
KIDS !!!

Hey, Thin that's how I got my first two holes IN MY EARS!!! Mind out of the gutter, Chicks. Ice and potatoe's.
I ended up with 9 holes in my ears over the years but have left some close up. I got older and lazy - looking for enough earings every day was exhausting. :(

 I went to the jewelry store for all but one of my "holes" Once I let my sisters friend try to pierce my ear (on the upper part) with a piercing gun that her beautician mom had. I tell you, it got sooooooooooo infected :faint: I had to let it close. I think right now I have about 8 of them that are open. I'm with you, Lucky, I'm too busy too look for earrings in the morning :dizzy: I leave the one in on top of my ear, but that's it.
dixiedarlin - another person to provide insight into Dr. Phil will be great ;)
kat - haven't you heard of the potato thing to pierce an ear? I tried it once and almost passed out :faint: that's when I decided to have a pro do it :D
My Grampa did pass away early this morning so now I have a ton of things to do. Will it be bad if I don't wear a dress to the funeral???? :dunno: I really hate wearing dresses :p

Thanks for the Birthday wishes everyone! Now if only JOHN WOULD REMEMBER!! He's so concerned about not forgetting mother's day that he will never remember what day it is!! He was even going to go to a ballgame tonight if his friend got tickets! Lucky for him right now he is still at work!
Anyways....I picked the boy up at daycare on my way home and we stopped at Target. We are doing the potty training thing still and we needed more undies...we got more spongebob ones of course and also a 3 pr of bob the builder. Now if he would just go potty on his own! He knows how to do it and he stands there and goes when we drag his hiney into the bathroom and MAKE him go! When does it ever end?????
Well, $40 later and $10 cash back we stopped at Wendy's on the way home...the glutton I am..but the boy was hungry and it was getting late afterall! Now I feel like a total loser when it comes to this diet thing...I was good all day!! I'm sure I'll get it again eventually!! I'm not giving up...I know I did it once and I can do it again!
So enough babbling now...I'll catch up with you all later...I have to go get stuff ready for tomorrow so I can watch american idol and the gilmore girls inbetween! I think Luke and Loreli are getting together FINALLY!
TTFN Love you guys! Oh and BTW Barb...thanks for the card! That was such a nice surprise...you are such a sweetheart!!

Michelle- Happy Birthday! Hope your hubby finally remembered. I hear ya on the potty training. My daughter just started going last week and is now fully trained. She even stays dry at night. I was starting to think she would never be out of pull ups. She'll be 4 in October. They are so stubborn. He'll get there. Hopefully for you its sooner rather than later. Gotta go for now.
