Hello to everyone.
It is so good to hear from everyone.
Andria... I am so glad everything is looking good so far.
Barb ... can't believe what all you have to go thru... no way I could be so committed to give myself shots in the stomach or anywhere else. LOL
Lucky... hope they get a cancellation today for you. Call them back and PESTER THEM and they will get you in. That policy worked for me today. LOL
Yes... I had to get worked into the doctor today. I have a kidney infection.
They said I would have to wait until Tuesday but I was urinating blood and I did not take no for an answer. They told me to go to an Urgent Care Center. I didn't want to pay the extra $$$ involved there. To make a long story short... they worked me in.
My whole day has been a day from HELL !!!
The "pain "of my kidney infection was not enough... I had at least a dozen things go wrong for me today. I am glad this day is almost over. LOL
I know there are more replys I should respond to ... but I don't want to go back and reread. Just peeking in to read and saw we needed a new thread.
I am out of here. Good night.

Hey everyone -
I was MIA yesterday :) Ok so the past couple of days has been pretty bad food-wise, i really need to snap out of it. I need STRUCTURE. I need to take some deep breaths and not let this get out of hand..I Know i've been over on my points for three days now...TIME TO STOP. Tomorrow morning I'm getting up and doing my weights, THAT'S IT. And then I'll feel less awful about my food situation :(
Haven't seen Tina in a while...I remember coming back one day and she was gone..hmmm...
Julia - the reason I want to go over there is because my boyfriend is from there. Yes, I know it's different I haven't been but I have several friends from all areas..where are you from?
I know I didn't have much to say today but I have to go soon..What not to wear is on...and i have no good news to report anyways :(

Hi ladies!
Is it me? American Idol doesn't seem to be as good. Except for George.
DH has a trip tonight so just me and the dog. I raced home to do 20 minutes on the stationary bike and then walk the dog. Dinner on my own was a frozen Lean Cuisine. Yes, I can cook but have gotten so spoiled by DH cooking all the time, I have forgotten how to feed myself!
I've been sorting through Turbo Tax printouts. I have to file my second state form and have of course, procrastinated because we owe $57. :D I had trouble printing because I kept getting an error saying it wouldn't print but then got about 10 prints of everything. Lots of paper headed to the shredder.

WOW Terri, How did you know all those works About all I know is O K L A H O M A Oklahoma !!! OK People around here laugh when they hear I'm all excited about a trip to Oklahoma. Tonight we were at a resturant with a church group and My DH said "Now what do you have in commom with the group going to Oklahoma" He was trying to imply I wasn't on my best eating behavior!

Hey Gals!
I am on my way to be but had to stop in here for a visit! It's been a rather stressful day here - I had my first monitoring visit today to see how my body is reacting to the fertility drugs. It started with bloodwork  took FOUR tries to get my blood. I know I have tough veins, but come on! I don't like the lady that was doing it - she has never gotten blood from me - always has to call in backups. So she got the person who last week got me on the first try and today got me on the 2nd. Guess who I am asking for on my next visit!! So, I was already in a foul mood because of that - then it was the ultrasound to look at my ovaries. Question of the day --- Where did Barb's ovaries go????? They were not coming out to show themselves today - the nurse finally got a peek at the right one but the left one stayed hidden - apparently up above my pelvis. The hope is that as they become more stimulated and heavy they will drop down and show themselves. My Doc did tell me ahead of time that sometimes with overweight woment the ovaries can fly up out of the pelvic area :yikes: - we didn't think it would be a problem because they have seen them on several other occassions. Hopefully when I go back next time they will appear. I need to give them a little pep talk!
So, at this point I take the same meds for three more days and then go back on Friday, Sat, Sun, Mon....... to see how I am doing. All sounding familiar Ingrid??? :p Did you experience any of the "hidden ovary" problem??
Phew....that was way more than I planned on writing and more than you wanted to hear. I figure no one is doing much posting here lately so I'll just bore you all to death with my babbling!!! :blah: :blah: :blah:
2cute - I am happy to hear that things improved today! What? No American Idol? I wasn't able to watch it but had it set to record. Am I going to have a tape of the Prez instead?
Melissa - Looking for a report tomorrow after you work out in the morning! C'mon - you can do it! Think how good you will feel afterwards!
:strong:
Terri - I have a pile of tax paperwork sitting here! Guess I should get it done, huh? Time's nearly up!! Thanks for the song!! So excited for the OK gals!!! Just don't forget about me!
Kat - You back from CA? Did everything go ok?
Taking out the pooches and heading to bed! Night All! Sweet Dreams!!!
Love ya!

Terri... I feel HONORED you could sing the whole song. :smug:
We have an outdoor theatre that show that play nightly.
I should drag you all there. :D Ooppss I meant ya'll.
I had such high plans for us .. and then my daughter got engaged and the Spring Fling got put on the back burner. But my enthusiasm is as HIGH as ever. I can't wait !!!
This weekend is the bridal shower. 25+ invited... hope some don't show. LOL
I have lots of cute baby shower ideas.... does anyone have a bridal shower game or food or anything I could use??
Terri.. I agree about American Idol. Last year was MUCH better. I think they have a LOT of BAD singers this year. Did you know that George is from OKLAHOMA UNIVERSITY !!!???!!! They are always interviewing students here and they all seem to have nothing but good things to say about him. Of course... they probably wouldn't televize anything bad. LOL I think LaToya has a good chance. I don't like Fantasia's attitude. And Jennifer sings good but noone seems to like her. I HATE both Johns. Gee... I can't remember the rest now. LOL
MissMeliss... STRUCTURE !!!! Yes structure is good.
Put the past behind you and start anew first thing Wednesday morning.
And no more MIA ... keep your butt in here. :drill: ;)
Barb.g ... you tell your husband what you have in common with this bunch is ....
LOVE and family bonding. We love you no matter what you eat or what you weigh.
okay... glad to see more posting. good night everyone.

Hey everyone :)
Thought I would send ahead the piece I wrote for the paper this go round. Love you all.
If we knew we were dying a little bit more each and every day, would we choose to live our life in a different manner? Would we search out the precious, the unique, the exquisite, and hold it close to us, examining each detail and placing it in our storage bank of good memories?
If we knew each day that those around us were dying a little bit more every day, would we pay more attention to what they say? Would we take real interest in what they do?
If we knew that we were dying next week, would we hide our head when the rain comes, or would we walk out into the storming elements and allow the moisture to bead on our upturned face until it appeared we were crying along with the heavens?
Would you be unafraid to dance in the grocery store aisle with your sweetheart? Would you sing along with the radio, tapping your toes and not worrying about hitting all the notes or who was listening?
How would your life be different?
Here’s the catch to it all. We are dying. Death is one of the two guarantees in this life, right along with taxes. And while the April 15th deadline looms over many of us and the tax man appears to be breathing down our necks, Death takes such a sly approach that we can forget it is there, waiting for us. Patience is an old friend of Death.
There are too many things in life that are taken for granted, and for some reason we don’t begin to appreciate them until they are at risk of being lost. The loss doesn’t have to be as complete as death; it could just be an ending we didn’t anticipate. A friend might move or a child grows into a young adult, and those seasons come to an end.
We need to learn how to live. We need to take what is best in our life and honor it. Don’t assume time is your friend. Life offers no guarantee that there will be a tomorrow or a next week or a next month to make everything right.
We must live in the present, and sometime in your life, you must choose to seize the day. Hold each one tight to you. Cherish it, if only for that one brief moment before it fades away. You will be better for that moment, and your life will be enriched.

Andria - Wonderful piece. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Today seems to be looking a little better than yesterday. I had a nice acupunture appt. this morning. He said he could definitely feel how anxious I was and also detected that I am a bit dehydrated so he used some diff. acu. points. I plan on drinking lots more water today - I feel like I have been drinking alot , but I guess not enough. It will hopefully also help with the daily blood work!
My weight has been holding fairly steady through all of this even though I've had to really cut down on exercise. I'm fluctuating up and down the same 3 pounds. I am only weighing once a week and not obsessing too much. I will admit I've been allowing myself an occassional sweet treat - just a little piece of chocolate or something. Even though I know better that to let myself become emotionally attached to food there is still something soothing about a bite of chocolate. Can't help it! :chockiss: :chockiss: :chockiss:
I am going back to the dentist today - AGAIN! This crown I got about a month ago is still not quite right so I am going to have her try to smooth it down a little more. :crossed:
Lucky - How are your dental issues going? Pole Saw! WooHoo! Have fun with it and be careful!!! :kickcan: :kickcan: :kickcan: :kickcan:
Melissa - So, did you do it? Get up and use those weights this morning??? If not, the day is still young.
:strong:
Time to work. I'll check in with you gals later!
Love Ya!

I'm back...We got back too late last night for me to post...I had to sleep off some jet lag. San Francisco to Newark is a LONG flight! And all this rain that everyone (else) has been having...makes for an extremely TURBULENT flight. It's good to be home.
FIL did well, they were able to insert a stent, instead of doing surgery...unfortunately, the dye they use is rough on the kidneys, so they kept him an extra three days til his bloodwork stabilized. This was good for us because we then got to stay in the hotel near the hospital...which is about a 20 minute drive from San Francisco, instead of staying at my inlaw's house, which is in nowhere land, CA. Easter Sunday was spent in San Francisco, wandering around Fisherman's Wharf, dining on seafood at an outdoor cafe, touring the city...it was wonderful. We did get to spend quite a bit of time with his family too...but that day it was just the four of us and we had a blast. I have to say that the weather was FABULOUS, no rain til the day we left...one day was actually warm enough for the kids to swim in the hotel's pool. Everywhere we went, there were all kinds of flowers blooming...the air was heavily scented with their fragrance. It was POURING rain when we landed last night. I have to work tonight...ah well...Back to reality...
I've been here for almost 2 hours now, so I'm caught up reading, but I only have time for a few replies...I had to say to Jen...I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what you are going through. I have no words that could possibly make you feel better...just know that you are in my prayers. {{{{HUGS}}}}
Andria...your words were beautiful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing them!
Barb...sounds like things are moving along for you! Hang in there, kiddo! The end result will make it all worthwhile. Lucky's right...get a scrapbook started!
2cute...You sure have your hands full these days...I know everything will turn out beautifully! I hope you are feeling better!
Lucky...HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!
:hb: :cb: :gift: :lucky: :encore: :kickcan:
Terri...I've taken a few Pilates classes, it really does make you feel good. I think I need to get a tape for home use...back to daily exercise for me.
Hi to everyone else! Welcome newbies! I have to get unpacking now...and go pick up the dog, and go food shopping...and stop at the pharmacy...etc, etc, etc...oh yes...back to the real world........................
see you all later!

Hi ladies - stopped in at the library and thought I'd check in with you all while I'm here.
Nothing much to contribute - I am still trying to get back on track. I am having a problem staying out of the chocolate at work. They keep a basket full of Nestle, Hershey, Dove :chockiss: :chockiss: :chockiss: :dizzy: :dizzy: and I wind up in it about every night (I'm talking a handful of the stuff). I should just pick out one piece that I really like and let that be it. I really should keep the chocolate "Choice" milk shakes handy (sugar free for diabetics). I need to make more of an effort. I'm supposed to weigh in at my dr this month and I haven't yet (stalling!).
Barb - I hope everything works out well for you.
2cute - I know how frustrating it is to need to try see the doctor when you are really sick and he's booked up. My dr is good about working his patients in. Hope you are feeling lots better.
Audrey - hi neighbor - hope you're doing well.
To everyone else - hope you all are having a good week.
I miss Tina, Sandy and Amanda - where are you guys???
I'll see you all again soon!! Bye for now.

Mistiel ... I noticed you always hit "Reply with quote" in the bottom right corner.
That is fine ... but ... on the left side you will see "Post Reply" .
If you hit that instead you will not show everyones post they did earlier.
It takes time to learn all the tricks of the trade. I often catch myself doing the same thing. In fact .. most of the time I just post in the "Quick Reply" area.
As for the scale... I used to weigh on one of those 25 cents scales in Walmart, K-Mart etc, Then I found a scale that went to 400lbs at Linens and Things and have used it ever since. I even got to use a 25% off coupon on it. :)
Glad you to see you posting. We LOVE newcomers.

DH can mean a few things depending on the situation.. Most common is Darling Husband or Dear Husband. Once and a while it might be D*mn Husband. In my case is periodically Dork Husband
You get the idea.
Speaking of my DH - he is currently in bed with a 103.0 degree fever!!!

I am sorry to hear that your husband has that high of a fever. I wish him wellness and to drop that fever asap. ;)
