wilma12 04-08-2004, 10:01 AM Thanks for moving us Sunny. I had been thinking that we should do it too!
I have just a couple of minutes to post. It's almost work time. I haven't even had my :coffee: yet. I think I'll wait until I get there.
I have really done well with the snacking. I don't eat in the evenings anymore and if I get the munchies a few peanuts does the trick. I am also noticing it in my clothes. They are getting looser. I am going to carry on this way until I hit a plateau and then do something to change my eating up a bit.
This weekend we are hosting 2 dinners. On Good Friday we'll have DH's old aunts in and then on Sunday my family is coming over for dinner. It'll be a bit more work but I'm looking forward to it.
Next weekend DH and I have booked a cabin to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We're not into big parties and thought we'd like some time alone. We haven't seen much of each other lately and need to spend some time together.
I've gotta run now. Have a super day!
Mitchypoo 04-08-2004, 10:48 AM Wow Wilma, 25 years?!!! That is so wonderful. I hope you have a wonderful Anniversary and what sounds like some much needed time alone.
Guess we don't get any Easter smilies, but I wanted to wish everyone a blessed Easter! I've been invited to brunch at my Aunt's house, but I may just stay home.
Love the new thread and thanks Sunny for always being so good and directing people like me, who probably would get frustrated trying to find the new thread....;) You are so good to us...
Today is going to be a great, OP, day! I'm determined to make it so. I'm kind of in a normal routine today and so i'm having my coffee now but having a shake for breakfast and i brought a salad for lunch. Time to get back on track. I'm feeling really icky about myself right now, so i need to do something.
Have a great day!

http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/em/030104/030104_emM11_prv.gif Good Morning CER's!
Sorry I have been MIA didn't mean to worry anyone... I was with my hubby all day Monday (he was off & is off again this Friday 4/9 & on Monday 4/12). Guess what we went to get on Monday!? I got a brand new ProForm Treadmill!!! It is so beautiful! I got it on sale at Sears for only $399.00! I paid that much for my old one 10 years ago with less bells & whistles. I just couldn't stand waiting on this weather any longer to get in my walks.
Tuesday morning I walked within my FAT-BURNING HEARTRATE of 110 to 115 for 1 hour and burned 208 Cal/96 of them Fat Cal. and went 2 miles. And Wednesday I walked 1 hour and burned 298 Cal/93.2 of them Fat Cal. and went 2 miles. The display on the treadmill has a graph for Heart Rate Training Zones (so cool!). Michael Thurmond (the weight-loss program I am doing along with Curves) wants you to work in your Fat Burning Zone and this is perfect! The T-Mill has a thumb Heart Rate Monitor that is so easy to use, so you are able to stay within your zone.
I haven't lost any more weight, but do see a difference in how my clothes feel. It's great! So 3 weeks into Michael Thurmonds program along with the Curves I have lost 7lbs :) And now I have a T-Mill :D
Don't know if I will be able to catch up :o ... you people have been busy! :D Soooooo good to see!
http://www.ecardgallery.com/egreetings/easter/easter5/div.gif
A BIG http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/img/Welcom/Welcome_Signs_glitering_sign_prv.gif

So very happy to see you both!!
Hi SHERRY -
http://www.addis-welt.de/smilie/smilie/banana/1053617094.gif Congrats on your 7lb weight loss girl!!!!
That is wonderful!!! I am so proud and happy for you - it is hard work!!
I have been coping with allergy symptoms also - it's been terrible here! Both hubby & I have had sneezing fits like you wouldn't believe, nevermind the burning eyes! It's so bad this year from all the "wet weather" we've had and are STILL having! Sure do hope we get a break real soon! We are suppose to get snow flurries this Easter Sunday... yuck! All the daffodil's http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_14_18.gif are trying so hard to bloom!
Yes... it has gotten real quiet here!! I so missed everyone when it was. That's why I haven't checked back here lately - well, on top of being so very busy getting ready for Easter. You have really livened it up here lately Sherry!!! It is so good to have you back! :D
I am so sorry you have had a bad couple days lately and the cough... I do hope you feel better real soon! *Prayers* for your recovery!
Hey there SAMI -
No need to worry, you are so precious!! I am doing real well. I did have a bad migraine headache on Wed - Friday of last week, but am feeling real good today! When I get those migraines it is so hard to see... cannot focus my eyes. You know...
It is so good to see you posting so much and to see that you are doing so well!!! I have heard of the "Stuff a Bear" shops - we have one in our mall, but I didn't understand it when you posted. They are so cute aren't they!?! Sounds like you had a wonderful time! We sure did have a great time at the Red Lobster!!!! I got Flounder stuffed with Crab meat served with a Ceasar Salad and Steamed Veggies and Joe got a 1 1/2lb Maine Lobster and was in his glory!!! We also shared a Vanilla Bean Cheesecake drizzled with Raspberry sauce - Soooooo YUMMY - ! I am glad we shared the dessert, it was just right and I don't feel like I back slid too much... it has been months since I had a dessert. Very enjoyable! Thanks for asking :D
Getting in your water, huh ;) Tough to do at first... I drink anywhere's between 70-100oz a day now! I hardly ever wake up puffy anymore. It is great for fat burning too. I bet that your hair color and cut looks so adorable on you!!! Cannot wait to see your pics :)
http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/em/030104/030104_emM7_prv.gif Bravo on your weight loss!!!! So exciting that your friends noticed!! :cp: That had to feel wonderful!!!!! Keep up the wonderful job!!!! I just love seeing you around more Sami {{{Hugs}}}
To be continued... :o
SunnyD57 04-08-2004, 11:45 AM http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/em/030104/030104_emM1_prv.gif Hi WILMA -
So good to hear from you again. You too are doing so well in not eating at night and watching your snacking :cp: I don't eat after 7pm either... it has made a huge difference for me! Isn't a great feeling to see your clothes get looser on you?!!! I know that I am loving it. I am not seeing much wt. change at the moment, but I don't let that discourage me anymore...
I just keep on trucking :)
Easter weekend is going to be very busy for us as well... we had a 2hour practice this past Tuesday for our Easter music and have Good Friday Services to sing for as well. Your weekend with the hubby for your 25th Anniversary sounds WONDERFUL!!!! A cabin, huh... sounds like a great idea for my hubby & I this coming anniversary - it would be really nice to get away from "the phone" for a few days. You will have a marvelous time!
So very happy for you!
Hi SPROUT -
Love your readings and stories... they are always very insightful!
I too hope that you are feeling better soon and will be able to get back to your Curves again. Have you spoken to your Curves about the time away ill??? If you get a note from your Dr. you can have credit towards your Curves the days you missed being ill. You should ask about it & speak with the owner of your Curves. I hate to see you lose out on your money because of your illness. I am sure they would work with you...
Hi SUE -
You PC crashed huhhttp://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_8_1.gif... Bummer!!!!
Glad to it up and running again & to have you back http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_3_7.gif !!
Nope! Our weather is still really crummy! Waiting for the clouds to clear still! http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/em/030104/030104_emM10_prv.gif and so are all our flowers :^: In fact it is pouring out right now!!! Yucky weather!!!!!
Hi GARY -
Always wonderful to see you here! It's rare these days ;)
Sounds like your DD did very well at her tennis matches and that the Hawaiian Wedding was a blast!!! DS is doing well with coaching and job and Step-D is doing well with soccer... How was her tournament over the weekend?? Hope all went well. So sorry to hear of your nephew, Ron, getting into some trouble. Hope it was all cleared up after he went to apologize to her. Did they take him back?
Are you going to do the reading on Good Friday? We are doing the music for Good Friday... a busy weekend for us all. We are going to spend Easter Sunday with Joe's sister, Anne, and her family. We always have a good time and great food while we are there --- it will be a lovely day in spite of the undesirable weather we are having here. The Lord Rose and it did not matter what the weather was doing ;)
Yep... I am doing Curves (2x a week) * T-Mill (everyday for 1 hour) * Sculpting Bands (2x a week) * Elliptical (2x a week)... now you know why I haven't been posting much
*Special Prayers* for you DBIL, Mike, during his testing...
And for the family who just lost their father and husband at only 48 yrs old!!! That's only a yr older then I am :^: so scary! My heart goes out to them and so do my prayers!
LOVE!!!!!!!! Your pictures of Rylee... she is so adorable and growing so very fast!
What a beautiful dog!
To be Continued...

Sorry that things didn't go well with Charlie on your last visit with him... and that your group is no longer coming together. Why did they quit? Or is it just done for the summer?
Harrah for you in passing your test!!!! So now you will be licensed as an Insurance Agent, huh - so cool!!! Will you quit your job, or just do that along with your job?
How are you feeling these days? I know your back was bothering you again - is it better?? How has your energy level been? Hope you have only good health and much happiness!!! Thinking of you and praying for you as you begin anew today ;)
Feel better soon {{{Luvs & Hugs}}}

Good Morning CEers!!!!!
I'm feeling a little better this morning. I'm off so I sleep in and now I'm sipping my :coffee: and trying to come to life. I think most of problem was lack of sleep with trying to fight the infection. I still have lots of fluid behind my right ear cause I'm still echoing. And my poor little DD's voice is the worse echoer. And the high pitched cartoons!!! :yikes: The kids here are out of school today, tomorrow and Monday for "spring break". The oldest DD is babysitting.
SUNNY!!!!!!! So glad to see you back!!!!!!!!! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_105.gif And thanks so much for starting the new thread as well as moving us. I thought it was a good idea to move. That helps Aggie and I since we have been posting over "there" anyway. Girl, you had us all worried about ya. Hope everything is fine and you have just been on the busy bus lately. We ALL know about that one!! Lots of reading to catch up on, look forward to hearing more from you.
Wilma~Sounds like you have a busy weekend with your dinners. I'm kinda of glad I don't have to worry about that. We don't have family around close so it will be quiet. Congratulations on your 25 years of marriage!!!!!! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/311.gif That is a major accomplishment this day in time. And going to the cabin sounds wonderful!!!! That's my kind of anniversary. ;)
Michele~ Good to hear from you too. ;) You are going to be ON PLAN today and do GOOD!!! It's that positive thinking that will get you there. Have a good one!!!
Well, coffee is running out and I've got lots to get done today. I didn't get much done at all yesterday with feeling bad. So, it's up to do housework!!! Yuck!!! But somehow it doesn't get done by itself. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_6_213.gif Cya later!
Have a GREAT day!!!!!!!
http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_3_35.gif
sunshinelady 04-08-2004, 12:32 PM Sunny!!!!!!:sunny::wave:
I'm SOOOOOOOO happy that you are back!!!! You surely Brighten up the place in many more ways that one. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_1_10v.gif WOW, so GREAT about the T-Mill!!!!:treadmill: It's truly amazing how much stuff they can put on one now. You almost need an Engineer's degree to operate them. And girl you have the endurance!!!! ONE WHOLE HOUR?!?!?!?!? Wow!! I know I'm impressed. But you are in the ONE-DERFUL AREA NOW!!!!!
Keep up the GOOD work!!! Those inches and lbs will be falling and sliding off the T-mill as you are working out! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Have a GOOD ONE!!!!!

SunnyD57 04-08-2004, 02:43 PM http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/em/030104/030104_emM2_prv.gif Aren't you kind... you made my day today :)
Sure do hope yours is going well today and that you are feeling better.
1 hour is so easy to do on this T-Mill, you would be amazed! I still have to get in my workout today - I was going to do it when I signed off this morning, but got side-tracked (easy yo do with me  ). The only day I will not do any exercise is on Sundays ~ it is my day to completely rest for the next weeks run of exercising.
What are your plans for Easter? Coloring eggs with the family?
http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_3_18.gif
This Saturday Joe & I are going to color a couple dozen eggs... we each get a dozen to do ;) He likes to do stripes http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_3_24.gif and I am more of a pastel person http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_3_31.gif & then I use wax paper and buff them all up so they shine. It is so much fun. We aren't doing chocolates this year... safe then sorry ;)
And tomorrow Joe & I are putting out about http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_4_58.gif 12 loaves of Cinn. Bread as gifts for Easter (our neighbors and people at church & a loaf or two for Easter dinner). That will pretty much take up the whole day. The smell is wonderful in here while we bake http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/1001.gif .
Thanks again, Sherry...
Where is everyone else today?
Busy getting ready for Easter weekend I guess.

sprout 04-08-2004, 02:43 PM Thought I should check in other than the devotions that I post.
Am finally feeling better. Over the flu and cold but last night hubby went to bed early not feeling well at all - still not up to par this morning - so don't know whether we have another 'bug' in the house or not.
Back from my cancer visit - all went well, doc said all looks ok - am to see him again on June 2 for a consulation / exam to discuss follow up visits for the next 4 years.
Then we travelled to see my mother who has just turned 86. Haven't been able to see her for 2.5 years. Was a very good visit, all went well. It was short but that is ok as long as we were able to see her.
Curves - unfortunately I have discontinued my membership there, they refunded all the monies. Long story behind it all but the short of it all is that there were 2 women that were uncuth and rude, whining terribley, and just plain making things uncomfortable for some of us. I just felt I could not continue going there knowing that there was this kind of 'nit picking' going on.
The upside of it all though is we have another women's workout with similar machines - actually some of them are better I think. I have taken out a 3 month membership with them. They have been in town now for 2 months, and just starting to get a nice cliental - about 100 women so far. They have a few benefits that I don't think Curves had but could be wrong. For instance if you are ill for any length of time they will automatically extend your membership by that time. Also should you be away on holidays they will extend your membership for that also.
Today I went for my first workout - it feels so good to be back doing this.
I have set a goal for the next 3 months - took my starting weight today and am going to work on losing 30 pounds by July 10 - it means I am really going to have to be serious. This is a lot of weight to lose in 3 months but I have a lot to lose so this would give me a great jump start.
Well, have to run - have a few other sites that I manage at msn.groups and need to update them - then back to teaching my kiddos there school. Son is doing so much better!!
Mitchypoo 04-08-2004, 02:54 PM Marilyn~glad to see you back! Glad things went well at the Dr.'s. Sorry hubby isn't well.
Aggie~so proud of you that you had the strength to say no to your well meaning friend. It's hard to do that, but you did.
Sunny~How does Joe dye eggs in stripes? and I've never heard of buffing the ggs but you've peaked my curiousity. I must try that! Sounds like you'll be one busy lady with the baking and eggs and church and family, whew! And not to mention your workout routine. I'm glad you've found what works for you. You are doing so well and a true inspiration. I could actually smell the bread when you mentioned it.
I am OP today, but i'm feeling a little down...... Not sure why. I'm happy to be doing good food-wise though.
Sherry~you sound like you are doing well also my friend. But you may have to get that ear looked at, huh? Don't let it go, cuz i think you can get an infection pretty easily with that.
I'm tired, waking up tired. Think the Epstein Barr is back because i've been too busy lately. So i'm trying to not beat myself up over it, going to bed and not feeling guilty. But i need to really start taking a good supplement and regularly.

Philippians 2:13
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
Jeff made his living as a night watchman at a large company. He sat for hours at a console that housed a bank of television screens. For his efforts, he pulled a sizable paycheck. Many of Jeff's friends criticized him for getting so much for doing nothing. His reply, 'Hey, if they're willing to pay it, why shouldn't I get it?' Too often people look for ways of getting something for nothing. As God's children, we should always be looking for ways to be the best people we can be, not cutting corners, but committing ourselves to the pursuit of God's pleasure.
Today's thought: Today I will be the best dieter I can be!
SunnyD57 04-08-2004, 03:06 PM MICHELE -
You asked about pictures of my kids ;) I am always ready to share
On Monday when Joe was off we went to a pet shop to get some fish... my Beta Fish "Grant" died a few days ago :( So we got 3 more :D 2 - Female Beta's "Sadie" & "Zoe" and 1 - Fantail Goldfish we named "Smudge" (because he has 'smudges' of orange on him)...
& there's one of my boys doing what they do best "Sleep!"

aggie 04-08-2004, 03:23 PM Hi to Everyone,
Happy Anniversary Wilma, the cabin does sound nice.
Sounds like everyone is doing great, losing weight and exercising, that is sooo good!! I am hoping we get our treadmill repaired or we get a new one.
We will have a quiet Easter, my DH will be working Friday and Sat, but he will be off on Sunday. We will be going to SS & Church and then we will eat out at lunch. It is real busy at DH's work right now, so he just wanted to have a quiet day. I guess the good thing about that is I will not be tempted to go off my program.
Love in Christ,
aggie
SunnyD57 04-08-2004, 03:24 PM http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_3_22.gif MICHELE -
We get one of those kits that gives you the colors and the sponges to stripe the eggs with... easy to do. I think I got it at Target :) And as far as waxing the eggs - it works best when you color your eggs right after you have boiled them (still warm) and then after they are colored and all dry you get a nice big piece of wax paper and just rub that egg till you get the shine you want... just be careful not to lose your egg :o :dizzy: :p I always sit on the floor in my livingroom to wax them up; then if they fall they won't break hitting the carpet. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_3_8.gif
I sure do hope you have a good Easter Sunday with you not feeling very well :(
I am so sorry that you aren't... soon you will again.
*Prayers* for your health Michele!!
SPROUT -
So glad to hear that all went well with your Dr's appointment. And that you were able to find a way of getting in your exercise that you enjoy - that is the key. Sorry that Curves didn't work out for you, but it happens. Different strokes for different folks ;)
I am feeling very cold right now (the weather is very wet and chilly - goes to your bones), so I am going to go do my workout and then get in my shower before the boss gets home.
Maybe I will get another chance to post tonight ;)
Later...

SunnyD57 04-08-2004, 03:34 PM http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_3_11.gif Hello AGGIE -
This is the first time you have posted since I have been back... nice to see you :)
Glad you didn't have a hard time finding us.
A quiet Easter is good too ;) Joe & I have had many a quiet Easter and loved it... felt so rested and relaxed. But his family, being Italian, doesn't like to see us alone at home (even though we enjoy it) so we get invited allot over the holiday's. Fine with me - I just bring a dish and go and enjoy :D When I offer more, they are like "no thanx, I'm all set". So I also bring a Thank-you gift for them ~ to show our appreciation.
So nice to meet you ;)
NOW... I am off to exercise

sunshinelady 04-08-2004, 04:31 PM Hello CEers!!!
Just thought I would take a minute and check back in. I still feel BAD!! I think we're gonna take a little nap when I finish posting. We have softball practice this afternoon and I need some relief before then.
Sunny~ I have having real difficulty with my gifs. I know that I'm doing them right but most of them show up as red x's. This may be my servers fault. We have problems with email pictures doing that very frequently. Do you have that problem?
Sprout~ So glad that you are feeling better, sorry about the dh, that could be worse. Wow, good for you seeing your mother!!! I wish more folks would make the effort to see their family. With my job, I see so many families that have nothing to do with their elderly parents and it's so sad! Hang in there. We are all here for you and will :cheer: you on with your weight loss goal by July.
Michele~ Sweetie, I just went to the DR yesterday and got TWO shots and meds but she didn't put me on antibiotics or steroids (due to my diabetes) and all I have left to take is my decongestion med and it doesn't seem to help at all. After spending all that money, I just want RESULTS!!! Ya know? Take care of yourself!!!
Aggie~ Good to see you checking in today. ;)

SHERRY -
I know that there are some sites that do have codes in their GIF's to stop them from being used in forums, so that may be happening with the sites you are using. I pretty much stick to a few sites that I know work... I have had some work and then after a day or so - they are nothing more then the RED X on my nice post :( So I just stick to the ones I know work for me.
SPROUT -
Hope that your husband feels better real soon and that you don't become ill again :o
AGGIE -
I wanted to tell you that I thought it was very strong of you to turn away from the tempting foods your friend offered. I am sure she didn't mean anything by it,
but it took strength to resist.
You deserve a big ole pat-on-the-back!

Hello I am dying......................... Worked out hard wensday and boy do I feel it! The trainer is so nice he keep telling me don't over do because with the fibromyalgia if you pust to hard your body reacts by tighting up and causing deep muscle pain (which I feel) but if you don't work out your muscles tighten and cause deep muscle pain. It is like food we have to eat but if we don't eat right it rebels and makes us lg!
Sunny-If I stick to this. That is my next goal is to get a t mill. But I am not going to buy any thing until I know I would use it. I am so glad to see you back I have missed you.
Wilma-I am able to tell I am losing size but don't forget muscle weights more that fat! And once you get more muscle that fat you will burn fat faster! And you need that to keep you from gaining weight quickly.
Mitchypoo-I know summer it a tough time to have a commited group of people. Maybe a summer break would be nice for your class. Sorry you are not feeling well. My bil had the E-Barr and suffered many years. So Praying for you.
Sherry-Sorry you are not feeling well still. I think I would call the Dr back. I went through the ear thing after surgery once and it cause my ear drum to bust. so I would call if you don't feel better.

Good Morning All,
I am new to this posting thing - but I wanted to post here because you guys sound so nice and I have been looking for some Christian support. I have quite a lot of weight to lose but I just really got back serious about it as of Jan. 2004 and since then I have lost 19 pounds. I am really glad to find this thread and hope that you guys have room for one more. I look forward to meeting you all and getting to know you better and offering support where I can and celebrating your victories with you! Have a great day as a big loser!!!

He told them and then they said they would have to talk to the DR and get back to me. :yikes: Today is FRIDAY they better come up with SOMETHING!!!! I want to FEEL BETTER. My ear is still echoing sounds 2,3,4 times. I didn't realize just how noisy my environment really was until now. :dizzy:I bet you sweet people would like me to come here and not whine, whine, whine. I am sorry. http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/em/030104/030104_emM2_prv.gif

A very Good Morning CER's!
It's a great morning because the sun has finally broken through the clouds http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/em/030104/030104_emM5_prv.gif here and it is absolutely beautiful here this morning! What a difference a day
with sunshine makes! :D
I just got home from Curves and was so excited because my girlfriend (Mary Beth) who usually goes in the afternoons after she teaches school and is on Easter Break and came with me this morning --- it was so much fun to have her join me :) And then I got home and weighed myself guess what!?! I have lost another lb! So now I am down 19lbs... now 197 :D I am soooo close to that 20# loss :^:
*~*~*
http://skins.hotbar.com/skins/mailskins/em/040103/040103eggg_prv.gif Hi DENNIE -
:bravo: on your 19# weight loss --- isn't it so exciting!!! I just recently dropped into "One"derland... what a feeling that was. I hope that you will join us more often, it will be great getting to know YOU and AGGIE. We always welcome anyone willing to put up with us  I see you have 3 children and that you homeschool... well, you have your hands full don't you :) My girlfriend goes to WW's to and she has dropped 12#'s - she loves it.
Again, Congrats to you!!! :cp:
http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_3_26.gif Good Morning SAMI -
So good to see you as well :)
You WILL stick with it - I know you will :) I am so sorry to hear of your muscle ache, but that means you are using them :D It will be painful at first but if you give your body the rest it needs in between workouts hopefully it won't be too long before the pain eases. I know that I am still dealing with some tight calf muscles and my bad anke is tender from walking on my T-Mill... but I know it's temporary and I have something good to look forward to with the muscle toning and weight loss :) You keep up the wonderful job and don't give up - just make sure you get the rest you need - so very important! I am "in bed" by 9/9:30 now and feel so much better getting in good rest. You take good care of yourself, okay ;)
http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_3_30.gif Morning SHERRY -
I am so very sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well :( How very sad to be ill for the Easter weekend... sure hope that your Dr. will be able to give you something (this afternoon when you see him) that will help you, so you are able to enjoy your weekend somewhat.
Feel Better!!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Blessing to all this good Friday. I took the day off to get things done around the house but I just rested unstead. I am still quite sore. but have been trying stretch it out. I am not going to give up! I am starting to tell in my clothes that I am getting toner. I keep thinking no pain no gain! I just wanted to stop and say Have a Blessed day after watching to movie the passion of Christ this day has so much more meaning.
I watched a show on the health channel today called I lost it. One of the people talked about how they posted daily on E-diet daily. It helped her stay focused posting daily. I know that is true with me to have the support of other Christians is really a blessing and I want to thank all of you for being here for me.
I will post to each Sat.
sunshinelady 04-10-2004, 11:11 AM Good Morning CEers!!!!!!
I am just sipping :coffee: and waking up. My head still feels like it will explode http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_1_112.gif and my neck is stiff this morning. But, I'm off for the weekend and will make the best of it. The Dr said that the antibiotic shot she gave me would continue to release into my system over a 2 week period (Suppose to be something new) and that she had given me all she could but if I wasn't better by the end of NEXT week to hollar at them and they would make me an appointment to come back in. I told the Dr if I wasn't better by the end of NEXT week I definitely would be HOLLARING AT SOMEONE!!!!!!!! That was for sure!http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_2_103.gif
Sami~ Good to hear from you! Even though you didn't work in the house much, I hope you enjoyed your day off. I'm sure you needed to rest, since you have been SOOOOOOOOOO busy lately. Take care of the bod. Congratulations on your clothes fitting looser. :cheer: I watch, "I lost it" every now and then because it is inspirational to see others that loose weight. Some have had surgery, some have lost by Atkins, Jenny Craig, WW, etc..... But it lets us realize that we can lose weight too.
Gary~ Good to hear from you! I know you made a GREAT Judas!! Wish I could have seen it!!! Our puppy has been into everything. Wanna switch for a while?
Sunny~ Thanks for the get well wishes. Maybe it will happen SSSOOOMETIME?! Glad you had Mary Beth join you. How fun!!! Did you get all the bread baked up? Yum!!!! Hope your dinner goes well this weekend!!!!
Well, I gotta go get some more :coffee2: I seem to need a little more this morning to get my eyes open well. I hope this posts well. My server has kicked me off about 6 times now while trying to type this. So who knows, I may lose it all!!!
HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!!!!!!
Mitchypoo 04-10-2004, 11:15 AM Hi all
I'm here with my :coffee: at work and i'm not feeling so good. Charlie kept me out last night. What a dear man he is. We went to the store last night and got some fresh crab for the crab rangoon, he loved them and they were the best with the fresh crab meat. He made rice (he knows how to in the cooker) and grilled chicken breast and sauteed veggies and he even made a Hollandaise sauce for the asparagus. Looked like we were at a 4 star restaurant!
I could hardly get up this a.m. I can't take these late nights, my body is too tired. He wants to get together tonight too. Maybe after I take a nap this afternoon, i'll see if i'm up for it.
Hope you all have a Blessed Easter!
EZMONEY 04-10-2004, 12:11 PM REMEMBER WHEN SHE WAS SOOOO CUTE?
EZMONEY 04-10-2004, 12:49 PM HI LADIES
Well, it is a beautiful day here--a little cool but still T-shirt weather (my clothing of choice for all occasions  ). It was a great Good Friday service last night, my reading of Judas went well for me, only 2 lines, plus I read along with others the mockers and crowd lines. Then Angie and I went from the choir loft to sit with the our kids--it is rare they are all in church at the same time--typical Christmas and Easter services--my daughter is home then and my son gets those days off work, plus my step-daughter is usually here since her dad is not a church attender (the CRUTCH thing). The only one missing was my nephew, he really enjoys church, he loves to have a job to do like ushering or acoylyting--he was with his mom for his usual Friday night to Saturday night visit. I always inform him if he is going to miss something at church in case he wants to go and we make other arrangements with his mom--on missing Good Friday with us he said that's OK, we have been learning in school, youth group and confirmation about Easter, and we also have Good Friday service at school and I HAVE SEEN THE PASSION 2 TIMES :) The kid is learnin'! Angie took my daughter and step-d to see the movie yesterday, they had not seen it yet. We agreed at church last night that it is a MUST see EVERY GOOD FRIDAY!! During the readings last night they posted still pictures from the movie, everyone said it helped them to appreciate the day better. We exit church in silence and place nails in a cross (made by my brother and me from the Christmas trees on the altar each year)--I don't think anyone skipped it this year!
As you can see Rylee has been busy, she went for a walk with Angie this morning (now Angie is out on her 3 miler--Rylee not quite ready for that distance) now she is chewing up all the shoes in the entry- I AM TIRED OF TAKING THEM FROM HER
I have been working a lot and with all the sports going on it has been really busy around here--we actually had all the kids in the house at the same time yesterday--2 were sleeping on couches and 1 was sleeping in her room-ANgie was out in the yard digging up weeds with Rylee when I got home from work- I asked her where is your help? She just laughed and said didn't you here them snoring when you came in  Asleep at 3 in the afternoon, go figure--just like me on a day off (they better stay out of my chair  ) Of course after service Angie and I were heading home to rest and sleep for the evening and the kids were off to "play".
Going to sunrise service at 6 in the morning, then eat breakfast at church-and help serve probably, then regular Easter service, then come home and rest!!
Rylee is getting her 3rd set of shots today the Angie and I are taking her to Petco to get her a Easter basket--JUST KIDDING ;)  OR AM I (???) ;)
I will sign off here and then post to each of you--too much to lose in cyberspace :)
HAVE A BLESSED EASTER WITH YOUR FAMILIES--HE IS RISEN INDEED, Gary

Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Whenever food comes into my mind and I have the strongest urges to cheat on my diet, I just close my eyes, clear my head, and try to think of all the wonderful blessings God has given me. I ask God to help me, and then I wait very quietly for Him to answer my humble plea. God has never failed me. In some of the toughest situations, I feel His gentle presence, and my hunger and desire leave me. In the quiet times of our lives God comes the closest, because we do not shove Him aside with other concerns. Call upon God, then wait. He will come.
Today's thought: If I keep my mouth shut, food can't get in!
EZMONEY 04-10-2004, 01:38 PM SAMI I am just lovin' it hearing that your are sore FROM EXERCISE!! You have a great attitude now and no matter what happens I know this will continue for you--it isn't going to be easy but you are ready this time!! It is OK to rest when needed girl--that is how we are able to continue going strong--remember what God gave us Sunday for. I think the trainer is really going to be great for you. Do your kids still decorate eggs at their age? My neighbor still does it-TRADITION he says, he is 83!! Angie is out of journals but she will get one off to you when she makes another printing, not sure when that is. Have a great EASTER!!
SUNNYD How is the bread? Great I know, I can smell it all the way here in California, Angie used to bake a lot of bread in her machine--the problem was I ate too much of it--so she had to slow it down a bit  OH! I would beg and beg, but it did me NO GOOD!! she is a lot stronger than me!! I think it is way cool you have a treadmill now, Angie said I could get one if I ever do more than 2 months at 6 days a week--an hour each day--on the elliptical-- don't seem to ever get to that point anymore--I think the problem is...I can see the fridge that holds my beer from the elliptical  I heard on the news this morning that you gals down there might get some stormy weather for Easter, sorry. Have a Blessed Easter with Joe and the boys.
WILMA So the ticket is peanuts huh ;) My problem with peanuts is that I can't stop eating them once I start! How did your Good Friday dinner go? I bet Easter dinner at your house is quite the spectical Martha  Congratulations on your up coming 25th!! what a good way to spend it too! It would have been my 25th in November if my ex hadn't left--I was sad then but sooo happy now with Angie--God is GOOD! Getting baskets for those boys? ;) Have a Blessed Easter!
MICHELE Wow are things ever heating up with Charlie-- a good cook too--ahh, the way to a woman's heart ;) Can't complain about a guy that can cook rice now can you  I remember my dating days and staying up late--ouch! I also remember leaving Angie's apartment around 11pm then stopping by a fast food place--she never fed me enough when she cooked for me--I never told her until we were married! she was shocked! She knows what to do now though--serve me then run and put the food away  Just kidding-she doesn't serve me!! and I can find the food no matter where she hides it :D Have a Blessed Easter!
SHERRY I am so sorry you are not feeling well! Hopefully the shot will kick in soon and help with the symptoms. How is softball going? Game today? I hope you enjoy your week-end off and can recuperate. I sure enjoy seeing your posts again. What kind of puppy do you have? if you told me I forgot (i do that a lot!!) Sure I am willing to switch--don't think the kids are though ;) Maybe if you get enough :coffee: the head will feel better! As long as it doesn't hurt the tummy. Have a grat week-end with your girls- did you mention what your daughter was in counseling for? if you did I missed it--not trying to be nosey!! just wondering --Prayers coming if needed! Have a Blessed Easter!
SPROUT So glad to hear of good news on your trip to the doctor and on your boy! Sorry Curves didn't work out for you but that you found a good place to work-out at! Nice that you were able to see your mom after 2 years-my mom is in Illinois taking care of her mom and I haven' seen her for almst a year now--I talk to her every week though. Have a Blessed Easter!
AGGIE Enjoy a Blessed quiet Easter with your husband.
SUE and ANGEL Missing your posts- have a blessed Easter with your loved ones.
WELCOME DEENIEM Have a Blessed Easter.

Happy Easter CEers!!!!!!!!!!!
It's been real quite here today. We had a nice but quiet Easter. My dh and I are still fighting allergies, sinusitis, etc and now my oldest dd is sick. :stress:
I have been resting, taking my meds including Tylenol and Ibuprofen alternating around the clock and still can't seem to cope well. Our temps here Friday were in the 80's and today the high got to 48 with wind gusts. Needless to say we didn't get "out" much except to feed the animals. We even missed church.
Gary~ The softball team is coming along. We have 13 on the team and only 5 had ever been on a team before. But they are really coming together and learning well. I am really proud of our team, especially the infield. They work pretty well together. My little dd, Kaci, has never played before but is really giving it her all. I had her playing 2nd (alternate) the other day and she was running all over the field, backing up others and getting the ball and getting runners out at 2nd base. I was totally proud!!!! Our first game is Monday night, so I guess that will be the true test. And it's suppose to rain and be 50's. :(
As far as the oldest dd, yeah, we need your prayers on that. I don't know if you remember or not, but she had a boy break her heart last year and it was a major deal. Well, she has been having depression ever since then. Recently she confided in a christian friend of ours (that also has depression) that she had considered suicide frequently. Anyway, long story short, we got her to the DR and she is now on Wellbutrin and seeing a counselor every week. Kelli is a WONDERFUL, GORGEOUS teenager that has a low self esteem and thinks everything is her fault. She blames herself for everything that goes wrong. She has very high morals, (gets mad at those that go out and get pregnant and then don't want to take responsibility for it, etc...) When her softball coach found out about her depression, she couldn't believe Kelli had it. She's very bubbly, outgoing, smiling, laughing, joking, etc but she keeps her REAL feelings inside and basically beats her own self up. My heart remains heavy with all that I've learned lately. She has been crying herself to sleep every night for months. I love her so much and am trying to do everything I can for her. She was trying her best to hide her problems from us because of all my problems, etc.. she didn't want to add to it. But now she knows, how we feel and that we very much want to help her and be there for her. That's what families are all about. So, ALL PRAYERS WELCOME!!!!
The "puppy" is a fawn PUG. She is the sweetest, most destructive puppy, I've ever had. She likes to chew on EVERYTHING. Even the cat!!! We named her Mocha. It's really my dh's dog, but as long as she's with the family she's happy.
Michele~ I hope this finds you rested and feeling better. Hope you and Charlie had a good time this weekend. I hope he was feeling better too. Your grilled chicken and vegetables sounds wonderful!!! Maybe he is a keeper. LoL Take care of yourself.
Well, better hit the hay, I won't want to get up in the am. http://www.cartooncottage.com/images/carrothop.gif

http://www.grandmageorge.com/free/frgarden/ggarden011g.gifWell, it's Monday morning and I'm trying to open my eyes and wake up. :coffee2: My head isn't much better but I'm not in terrible pain right now. Still having echoing but maybe it's getting a little better. I sure hope so!!! DH seemed better this morning and dd is still sleeping. They are out of school still for "spring break". They go back to school tomorrow. I have 4 patients to see today and get ready for our first game tonight. I learned Friday that they don't have anyone that takes care of the field now and that each coach is responsible for cutting the field at least once during the season and has to "LINE" the field before EVERY GAME!!!! Well, that's something that I have NEVER done!!! Hopefully there will be someone there to help me this afternoon.:yes:

EZMONEY 04-12-2004, 10:27 AM GOOD LUCK IN THE "BIG" GAME COACH SHERRY--LINING THE FIELD IS EASY IF THEY HAVE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT, JUST CHALK DOWN 1 AND 3 BASELINES AND THE BATTERS BOX. PRAYERS FOR YOUR DD, I DO REMEMBER THE BOYFRIEND. GLAD YOU ARE FEELING BETTER. OFF TO WORK.........HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT EASTER, WE SURE DID, SUNRISE AT 6 THEN BREAKFAST, HOME WORKING IN THE YARD, KIDS HERE EXCEPT IN THE AFTERNOON SON WENT DOWN TO WATCH THE PADRES AND GIANTS PLAY. sunshinelady 04-12-2004, 04:48 PM Hello CEers!!!!!!!
I'm as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof about this afternoon. I would love to go to the softball field now and do the lines, etc.. but no one can go help me until 5!! I know I should be fine, but I'm not. Then I found out that Little League is having a big opening ceremonies next door where all their teams have to be present and accounted for. So, the place will be like an ant bed!!! I am trying not to eat and there's no one here!!! Where are all you sweet people???

Just found this thread and hope that I can join.
DeenieM 04-12-2004, 11:33 PM Hello All!
Just wanted to check in and say Hello and say thanks for the welcome. My DH and sweet kiddies all loaded the van and went to visit the grandparents for Easter weekend. Lots of fun - but much to much food and chocolate - but when I weighed myself tonight when I got home I was only up 4 pounds and that is nothing unusual for the night time for me. I was really strict before I left for the trip and I will return to my old habit of eating healthy now that the food temptations are all gone - and I will continue to lose because I have the Lord on my side. He has been my source of strength with all the weight I have lost from the very beginning and just eating a few days off the normal routine is certainly not going to push me back up to where I started from. Anyway, just wanted to check in on you guys. Have a great evening and a blessed day tomorrow :grouphug:

So good to see you back and checking in... hope it won't be too long before you come back again ;) Sounds like your Easter Weekend was absolutely wonderful with your family and visits... don't you worry - you will lose those 4#'s before you know it! Allot of it I bet is just bloat from being tired and eating what you haven't in awhile. As soon as you get back OP (On Plan) you will see it come right off :)

I sure do hope all went well with that game last night!
I bet you surprised yourself and it all went smoothly ;)

sunshinelady 04-13-2004, 09:28 AM Good Morning CEers!!!!!!
Well, it was a MAJOR learning experience!!!
I just hope the next one is better. You see, for 2 weeks I have been begging for a rule book for Coach Pitch 8 and under. No one could give me one. The President, "Lori" told me they were ordered and hadn't come in yet. And I even got online and searched for one from the Texas teenage ASA division - couldn't find one. She told me she would bring me the scorebook last night, but I didn't like the chance she might not, so I bought my own at Academy Saturday, just in case. She told me the "rules" as she could remember them the other day and was at the game last night WITHOUT the scorebook!!! Then there's "Joe" who coached last year, considers himself the expert and who also happens to have a girl on MY team. So I have Lori and Joe constantly telling me the rules as we go, Oh, then there's "Jose" the umpire, who has HIS OWN set of rules!!!!! Lori is telling me it's this way, then Joe's saying no not according to the rules, which he whips out and then Jose is saying, No, that's not right, it's this way!!!!!! TOO MANY CHIEFS AND NOT NEAR ENOUGH INDIANS!!!!!
Then there's Mellissa the other coach who was basically in the same boat as I was, since she's never coached this type team either. And we were throughly confused!!!! Well, everything seemed to be going along fine and then I decided to send my subs in. I do so, tell the ump, tell the other team, etc.. Then when we come back into bat, they start batting. Then one of my outspoken little girls wants to bat again and I tell her no, you're not playing right now, but when I put you back in, you can bat again. Then Lori speaks up and says, Yes, Sherry she does bat. And I tell her I have sent the subs in so everyone gets to play and she tells me that after you send in the subs, everyone bats then (all 13!!!!! every inning) and only the "IN" players play the field. WHAT??? Dumb me, "took out" the players I subbed for and "put in" the others. :nono: :nono: Nope, not in Coach Pitch 8 and under!!!! UGH!!!
 :yikes: :stress:
:foot: :censored: :sorry: :rollpin: :dunno:
Well, after ALL we didn't do badly. We did lose but the final score was 7 to 8. Under the circumstances, the game was a good one. The poor girls only did what we told them to, but everyone, well, almost everyone, had fun!!!!
We practice again this afternoon. But at least now I kinda understand the rules. Gotta laugh!!!
I was suppose to be able to relax and take it easy today, but now have 3 patients today with one out of town, and a manitory meeting an hour's drive away. So, so much for taking it easy!!
I totally appreciate all your support!!!!!!!!! I knew all my ducks weren't in a row and that's why I was so nervous, and justly so. If the big ducks weren't organized, how was the little duck gonna be???
Anyway, my eating has been HORRIBLE!!!!! I have been way OFF PLAN and hopefully can get it back!!!
Gotta go, now and hit the shower. Will try to check in later this afternoon!
wilma12 04-13-2004, 09:55 AM I just got back from my Curves workout and am enjoying my bowl of Optimum cereal. Yum! It felt great to be back there after a long weekend. Now, we're busy planning for our weekend away coming up. I am so looking forward to it. I picked up some Sante Fe marinated chicken breasts and plan to take along baking potatoes and a salad.
I had a great Easter weekend. All the meals I had to prepare went over well. I have so much ham leftover that I might have to freeze some.
Oldest DS just came home yesterday from meeting his girlfriend's family. He really enjoyed himself and realized that meeting new people isn't really that scary. Now it's into exams for both guys and then to work!!!
sunshinelady: I admire you for coaching. I was always a great fan or scorekeeper when my guys played. You'll get back on track eating wise. Don't give up.
Deenie: I agree with Sunny. It's probably water weight. I'm feeling it right now to with having eaten ham and it being TOM. Give it a week. Just keep doing what you're doing.
ceejay: Welcome! You can post as much as you want. Let us know a bit about yourself.
Michele: It sounds like things are great in you life. Are you still doing SBD?
Gary: Glad to see your long post. We've been missing them. Rylee is so adorable but I'm glad YOU are the one cleaning up after here.
Sunny: It sounds like Curves is working for you too. I just got my tote bag for my 100th workout today. Quite exciting!!
Angel: My prayers are with you and those you love.
Sprout: How are things going with you? Hope to hear from you soon!
Well, gotta go. I think I've missed somebody but my prayers are with everyone on this thread. I need all of you in my life. Thank you for being there for me.
Have a great day!
SunnyD57 04-13-2004, 01:04 PM Good Afternoon Everyone!

My eyes were so swollen!!
I have allergies to mildew and it has been so hard on me
with all the rain!!

3) My Office where I spend way too much time :D
See all my fish? :)

Mitchypoo 04-13-2004, 01:29 PM I love the one of Joe coloring eggs and your kitty just watching him! How cute! You look so pretty, Sunny. Wish I looked like that with swollen allergy eyes! Love seeing your "space" too where you keep in contact with us. That is cool that you share so much with us. Thanks!

Hi again...
I do have 3 more pictures to share with you, but somehow the site wouldn't accept them... I will try later, maybe I posted too many right now  I'll post them tomorrow sometime.

Hi SHERRY -
I think you did wonderfully for not knowing what to do and having so many Indian Chiefs! I know what you mean... Joe & I have experienced that more then you will care to know!! But I think all-in-all... you did very well! :cp: You should give yourself a huge "pat-on-the-back!"!!! You are a better person then I - I would never have signed up for something like that. I am so proud of you for doing it and stepping out of your comfort for those kids!
Hope your practice goes well this afternoon!!
How is your health? Feeling any better:?:
Hi MICHELE -
Thanks!! You are so sweet! I am so glad you guys don't mind all my pictures :D Did you have a nice Easter? Did you enjoy your catch-up time? How have you been feeling these days?? How that back of yours? And your health?
I pray for You (and Charlie) all the time... hoping that if he IS the one - that God will let you know without a doubt, so you will not be hurt again.
Hi WILMA -
So good to hear from you after the long weekend... sounds like your Easter was really nice!! I too went to Curves this morning... not near close enough to get my 100th class bag yet :o
:bravo: for you!!!!!! :cp:
It was a busy morning this morning... everyone wanting to exercise
off their Easter goodies :D
That's right! You and hubby are going away this weekend.
I bet you are so excited! You both have a wonderful time!!!
Hi GARY -
You are so blessed to have such nice weather! We had some sunshine, but it is still cold here :( We are suppose to go into the 70's this coming Saturday :cp: I hope! I hope!
I was going to go see "The Passion" again, but we just have had way too much going on with all our practices for Easter. I think we'll go again real soon before it is out of the theatre's... which I do not think will be all that soon :) It has grossed over THREE HUNDRED & FOURTY MILLION DOLLARS!!! I knew it would!! :D I told my Joe that when I read that Gibson put in 30MIL of his own monies in to get it out - that God would give him back 10fold! And he has and then some! Not to mention all the lives that have changed from the movie!
God is so Awesome!!!!!
I cannot believe how fast your pup, Rylee, has grown! Is she still eating your Angie's roses and I bet many other things too. She is a beautiful dog! Whoa... don't let her see my post... she probably thinks she's people and will be stunned to see she's not :o  !!! I know allot of people that get their pets Christmas gifts and Easter baskets - nothing wrong with that... Joe & I have done it!!! Did you get one for Rylee?? Have pics? I love the pictures... keep 'em coming!
How was your Easter with the family, Gary?
I bet you had a wonderful day enjoying your family and friends.
Our Bread was marvelous!! We kept a loaf for ourselves this time and I made French Toast with it --- soooooo gooooood! I ate two of them and they felt like lead in my stomach afterwards, but I enjoyed it :D We only put out 6 loaves this year vs/ the usual 12 loaves. Joe & I had so much to do this year. Gary, we don't use any machines (although they are nice)... we do it all by hand and from scratch. That's the only way we know how and we love the process. I should have gotten pics for you - oh well, next time.
Hi SPROUT -
How are you feeling?? How was your Easter??
What did you do? Did you go to someone's home
or did you have Easter dinner at home?
Hi ANGEL -
Still praying for you and your family... How was your Easter???
I sure do miss hearing from you these days.
Have you done any more to the house?
Hi CONNIE -
Where have you gone off to again???
Hope you come back!!!
Hi SAMI -
How was your Easter??? Did you have the whole gang over or did you go to someone's home and get treated for a change? :)
Hi SUE -
You working hard still for "our" trip??? Which is getting closer!!!!
How was your Easter weekend? Come back soon and fill us in on your days... it's been a long time since we've heard from you :o
Hi AGGIE -
Come back and tell us how everything went over your Easter weekend :)
You too DEENIE & CEEJAY :)

Mitchypoo 04-13-2004, 02:43 PM Sunny!~thanks for the prayers for Charlie and I. I have been doing a lot of praying too about it. We are getting closer everytime we are together. I'm finding myself thinking of him a lot....all the time. I anticipate when i'll see him again. It seems odd, it's been a long time since i've had these feelings stirred in me again. It's really exciting, but i'm also realizing it's very scary. There's a part of me that's afraid to go there. But i'm not going to pull away, i'm going to let God take care of it. I don't want to be hurt either, but i'm willing to be vulnerable enough to find out if he's the one. My friend called me the other day and first thing out of her mouth was.....Are you engaged yet? I laughed and said, where'd that come from? She tells me i'll be engaged or married by the time i'm 40, which is just shy of a year away! Isn't that wild to think of?
I am feeling pretty good, my back is a lot better, but sometimes still nags me. I'm going for massage tonight, hopefully that'll help. My hip is aching, need to get to the chiro, but i'm just dealing with it. The worst problem i'm having is fatigue. The Epstein Barr is really a drag, so i'm trying to take care of myself. Last night i got some good sleep and felt a little better this a.m. I can tell it's bad when i sleep 8+ hours a night and wake up thinking, Oh, i want to stay in bed....it's a real drag. But my back not hurting daily is a big improvement. I feel that the healing service a couple weeks ago had something to do with it. Praise God!
SunnyD57 04-13-2004, 06:57 PM Hi!
Here are the last of the pictures I tried to show you all that
wouldn't upload the last time I was on for some odd reason...
1) Joe's sister, Annie holding her grandbaby
Mikala, & the bunny we gave Mikala for Easter... she's
not too sure about it ;)
2) Jadah (2yrs old) also a grandbaby of Annie's...
she looks as if she just got off the boat! We were going
for an after dinner walk and it was colder then we thought,
so we were looking for anything to put on the kids heads to
keep them warm --- isn't she adorable!
3) Mikala Rose (6mo)
*~*~*
Joe just called me - he's getting dinner & will be home in 30min., so we can make practice tonight @ 7:00, so I have to get myself in gear and get that shower out :o !! I just got off the T-Mill and walked 2.25miles, burning 306Cal/99Fat Cal for 1hour.
Later everyone!

A note about myself. I live in a small city in Arkansas and I'm a licensed water treatment plant operator.
SunnyD-Always like to see pictures. I don't have the equipment to do all of that yet. Also like your Easter Chick.
Not much time tonight. I'm catching up on laundry from the week-end. I went to my sister's in South East Missouri.
Will try to address everyone tomorrow night.
Have a good evening.

aggie 04-14-2004, 12:19 AM Hello All,
Sounds like everyone had a wonderful weekend. I too had a wonderful weekend, it was too wonderful!!!! I got way off plan and now I have to get back on, that is so hard. Why do we do such foollish things. I could just kick myself!!! I really enjoy all the posts and am still trying to get to know everyone. I love all the great animations, I am such a udffus when it comes to computers, but I am thankful I can post and do email and such.
The weather here in south Texas hass been great the past few days, dry and a little cool, I am thanking God for this blessing. I am dreading the heat and humidity that comes with summer. But I have many other blessings and I must not forget to count them. God Bless You All.
aggie
aggie 04-14-2004, 12:20 AM However I need better command of the keyboard hehe!! thats duffus!
Wow it took awhile to catch up. Sorry I have been MIA but I have been on the run a lot. I feels so good to feel better. I got my exercise bike and have been riding away!!!!! I still have pain after using but I am going to keep on working out..... I also have been tanning after working out becausse the heat really feels good on my back and hips. The plus is I am really getting dark. Today the Big boss looked at me and said losing weight and all tanned too who are you trying to impress? I said that would be my husband! We had a great Easter we did the Easter Breadfast and then went to my mother-in -laws and had a great time. My DN also has fibromyalgia so it was good to get some Ideal on coping form her. I can tell that the healthy eating and the workouts are making me feel better.
Sunny-I can't belive the pet store said the fish could be in the same bowl. I love your pictures!!!! I have 170 pictures on my camera I have to send some more to be posted. I want everyone to see my puppy. You are my true hero with your great weight loss! I am not going to WI until I go to the Dr. in 4 more weeks. I am praying I see a big loss at that time. (I am scared if I get on and haven't lost as much as I think I should I might get discuraged) I keep telling myself It is all about getting healthy. I have been eating a salad everyday to increase my fiber and my IBS is doing so much better. And with working out I am not hungry anymore. But I still eat 3 meals and 2 snacks.
Sherry-You did great!!! Sorry I wasn't here for you. I will pray for kaci My Staci is in the same boat. she is so pretty (looks just like Julia stiles) but she goes through depression. A year latter she is doing so much better. I will be praying for her and for you. So glad your team did so well.
Mitchypoo-Charlie sounds like he is a good guy. I can understand why you feel like you have to be careful. I will keep you in my prayers! You just let Charlie know you have friends from all over and we don't want our friend hurt!!! My Dr. put me on b-6 3x a day and it does seem to help. Maybe you can try that it can't hurt and it is cheap!
Wilma-So glad your son had a great time. Isn't it fun (and sad) to see them through another stage in life?
Ceejay52-So glad to have you! What kind of Diet are you doing? I think you will really love the prayers and support here.
DeenieM-So glad to have you pop back in. I know you will get back OP. I have been bad for two days. I love peanut butter eggs and of course I got some for easter. I let the kids have all the rest of my candy but not my peanut butter eggs!
Ez-Thanks for your kind words. I think seeing this Dr. who understands how I feel has really helped a lot. And think the time is right after seeing the Passion of the Lord my heart is closer to the Lord. And I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired. I told the Dr. I am willing to do anything to get better so I am willing to be in pain to gain more strength. When I walked out of work today the weather had turned cold and windy (and cold makes me ache) but I felt so good to feel the wind against my face I feel a freedom I have not felt in a long time. I know I have a long way to go but for the first time I feel I am really going to do it this time!
Sprout-your post are sure up lifting! I am so glad you found a place to workout. How did your check up go?
AngleLover-How are you? I am praying you and your family are doing well. With all the unrest over seas I think about your DD's FIL. So glad your SIL is home. I hope you had a Blessed Easter.
Aggie-I am still learning even though I use a computer at work all day long I have someone on hand to help when I get into trouble. At home when I ask for help my teens take over the computer! Looking forward to getting to know you better.
Sue-How was your Easter? I forget when is the trip? My neighbors DD lives in alaska and she sent pictures it is a winter wonderland.
I pray I have not missed anyone. My Prayers go to all of you I Thank God for your Friendship daily.
DeenieM 04-14-2004, 09:46 AM Good Morning Gang!
I am feeling better today - still up 3 pounds but at least its not 4. I drank water like a fish yesterday and I also got to walk 2.8 miles in 50 minutes. That helped me feel better and less sluggish even if I didn't lose all that water weight. I really need to go to the grocery today and buy some non-salty foods. I have a real problem with sodium and it shows so easily on the scales and even though I was OP yesterday and didn't overeat - I still had salty stuff and I can still feel the bloat this morning. :moo: But I refuse to be defeated by this little set back like I usually am - because I know my God is bigger than any of this and I am relying on Him fully. I really liked the verse from Prov. 16:3 that CeeJay had posted with her message it really spoke to me this morning - I am committing all that I do to the Lord and He is always faithful! :sunny: I have promised myself not to step on the scale again until Friday which is my WI day :goodscale so that is the plan. I must confess to being a scale addict!!! I am still trying to read and catch up with all of you but I have not gotten back to thread 181 to finish reading about you guys. I am really looking forward to getting to know each of you in the coming weeks. I will keep you all in my prayers!
In His Love,
DeenieM
DeenieM 04-14-2004, 09:53 AM SunnyD - how beautiful you are!!! :queen: and what a wonderful job you did on those eggs :cp: - looks like you had fun!! Have a great day!

Mitchypoo 04-14-2004, 10:54 AM Aggie~I like udffus better, it made me laugh! Thought it was a "Texas term"! ;) Glad you had a great Easter and are posting with us. And about getting back on track, just remember, you are never behind. Just start where you are, jump on and pray!
Valerie!~ Welcome!! So glad you joined us! I love your signature with your weight up there, you and Sunny are so clever! Maybe i can copy you two!
Deenie! So proud of you that you are not giving up. It can be discouraging, i know, but you have a good attitude.
Sunny! What a cutie those kids are! Wow you are busy with your workout/church/hubby schedule! I think it's so endearing how you are about your Joe! What a lucky couple you are!
My massage therapist asked me last night if i was in love! She said that i look happy......and you know, i am happy!
Yesterday i took a big step and I fasted! And I did it. :cb: I went the whole day with the living water of our Lord. I had a coffee in the a.m. but then just water. It was an amazing experience and i learned a lot about me. And i feel closer to the Lord.
Charlie had to have a colonoscopy today, say a prayer for him please. I asked him why and he said, "Well, I AM 45 years old..." Poor guy, he wasn't looking forward to it, but I'm hoping there are no problems.
standnngrace 04-14-2004, 11:16 AM :?: How do I veiw the most recent messages first?
Are there any scheduled chats?

Good Morning CER's
I just got home from Curves ad the sun popped out! Such a beautiful sight!! We are suppose to get into the 70's by the weekend... we can only hope :D I am so looking forward to the warmer temps and we seem to be waiting forever for it to happen. Anyway, it was great to see it this morning after my workout. I will walk my T-Mill later this afternoon for an hour (do that everyday) and then maybe take a stroll this evening with the hubby after dinner.

Hi CEEJAY -
Thanks! ;) I am a huge picture taker and love to share them... I also love seeing everyone else's!! It's just great seeing what everyone looks like. That's what I did yesterday --- tons of laundry, from not being home much last week. Even though it is just the two of us we had allot! I have workout clothes everyday for starters... I am almost done just have 2 more small loads to do.
I look forward to getting to know you, CeeJay.
Loved that you posted this...
Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. NIV
Thanks!
Hi AGGIE -
Don't beat yourself up for going off plan - it is going to happen on the holiday's... I plan on it :) Then I just enjoy the day all the more and get right back OP the very next day. When I don't feel guilty about a few "fun foods" I don't eat everyday, I enjoy them more --- you know what I mean.
Glad you like all the fun pictures we add - the graphics and animations, they are fun to add.
Hi DEENIE -
So good to hear that you are feeling better today :) Yep... sodium is our enemy :o I cannot eat too much sodium either or I too look like a blow-fish by that evening... I use allot of salt-free spices by McCormick in my cooking and feel tons better!! I also drink anywhere's from 70 - 100oz of water a day, it is really helping me in my weight loss. Deenie, just a tip I learned last month ~ when you walk your T-Mill ~ if you want to lose BODY-FAT go slower and longer in time. I don't get in the mileage I use to but I see the fat leaving my legs!! I go for an hour at about 2.0 and get in about 2miles or just over. I begin at 1.5 and then after 7 min or so move up to the 2.0 and leave it there. Also take slow deep breaths every few steps to keep the oxygen flowing (burns body fat also). I learned this from Michael Thurmond - the trainer from the makeover shows. I got his program from the net and it's great! Allot of great exercise & diet info.
You have a wonderful outlook and I know you will do well! I think you are wise to not step on the scale too often - I do once a week for weigh-ins at another forum I belong to. *Prayers* for your success in having an OP day :)
Oh... Thank you so much for the compliment. That is so nice of you to say. I just love taking & sharing pictures with everyone. Glad you didn't mind ;)
http://members.tripod.com/~teaapot/bdhsewel.gif VALERIE -
There's always room for another :)
:cp: Congrats on your 28# weight loss :cp:
You are to be commended!!! That's hard work!
:bravo: Keep up the wonderful job!
Hi GARY -
Thanks for checking in... love seeing that you are still reading and keeping up with us.
We sure do not want to see you go :o
You always make us feel so 'Special' being you are the only guy here
and that you are a sweetheart to boot ;)
Oh... not to mention "Good Looking" too :D
Morning MICHELE -
Thank you so much... we realy do think of each other as the best of friends as well has loves. I pray everyday that we are able to live our lives out together and that when we go ~ it will be 'together' when the Lord takes us all up ;)
Isn't that so sweet!!! Your therapists noticed you are "in love" I feel so honored that you have encluded all of us in this special relationship of yours, Michele...
That is so great that you fasted... whoa, I cannot remember the last time I did that. And with all that I do in workouts - don't know that I should. But I think it's wonderful that you were able to - I hear that you feel very cleansed afterwards. Good for you!
I will say that *Prayer* for your Charlie, Michele... I know how uncomfortable that process is. Joe & I have to have it done again in Jan/05 - yuck! I'll pray that his test comes out totally clear of any health problems.

I really must be going... have to get a bite to eat and get that laundry finished up...
Later you lovely people!

sprout 04-14-2004, 04:29 PM I am feeling so good today :)
I started at a new gym last week - Hooked on Paces - and as of today have completed 4 workouts. And (drumroll please) I have lost 2 pounds this week :)
Feeling so good about that - now just to keep it off and do the same for next week.
Bought 2 things for myself today - a foot spa which I have wanted for years - and a 'stepper'.
Will be using the 'stepper' when I do my walking to the tapes when I am not at the gym. My daughter (age 15 - she is handicapped - has Down Syndrome) also needs to lose some weight so we are going to be doing the tapes and stepper together.
Also went for my 1 mile walk today before going to the gym. This makes 744 miles walked total.
Am praying that next week's reporting time will be just as good. I have set a goal since starting at this new gym last week - joined it for 3 months from April 10 to July 10 - and am working on a goal of min. 15 pounds lost with a max of 30 pounds by then. I am off to a good start - just need to really stay motivated.
SunnyD57 04-14-2004, 07:15 PM  Hi VALERIE -
I have never given it a thought as to getting the newest post - I just subscribe to the thread and I get an e-mail to let me know when I get a new post. I think you can check though your Options to check that off...
Go to your User CP (at the top of this page in purple) - once there click on EDIT OPTIONS (at the left side) and read all that's there for options and check off what you want.
As for chats - so far not many here have the time for chats and haven't ever done it.
If someone has... they will let you know, okay ;)
Hi SPROUT -
:bravo: on your 2# loss!!!! :cp:
So wonderful to hear how well you are doing with the new place of exercise... you are proof that you just keep trying things till you find what works for you. :D And it's wonderful that you are working with your daughter, bet she loves it!
Keep setting those goals!! It has worked wonders for me!

Poor Charlie, they scheduled him wrong and he has to drink that yucky stuff again tonight and fast and have it done tomorrow... :( We're getting together this Friday! :cb:  Not sure yet what we're doing...don't really care as long as we're together.
Lagging in my goal to drink a gallon of water today, will have to finish that this evening, but my food is really good today! I only ate 1/2 my lunch, because i was full and thought i could have the rest for dinner. I should go walking tonight, let's see if i can make myself when i get home.

Angel-lover 04-14-2004, 11:43 PM Hello Friends...
Thanks to all who are still praying for me & family. Sami...I appreciate you asking about me. We're really having a struggle in every way, right now. I'm sleeping very little. Most nights, I get up after DH & DS are asleep...& stay on pc most of the night. I get a treatment Monday...so, I'll probably get a couple of days sleep in, then. I'll be ready for it, I'm sure.
I DO care about all of you, & would like to post more. I read each day. I guess I could post at night when I'm not able to sleep. I'm spending the time researching, though....trying to find ways to help DS.
Thank you Sunny...I'm enjoying all of your pictures...Also, Sherry's. Goodness, I enjoy everybody.
God bless all of you........http://www.godserver.com/images/angel22.jpg

Michele: I'm praying for Charlie too. I think it's so neat that you are getting closer in your relationship. I feel very blessed to have been married to mine for 25 years. We are really good friends and love to spend time together!
Ceejay: Glad to see you posting. I only work 8 hour days and sometimes don't have time to post either. Come when you can!

How is everyone this morning? Sorry I didn't get to post much lately. I have been SOOOOOOO busy! Tuesday was spent in meetings, doing visits and softball practice, Wednesday doing visits, taking Kelli to the Dr and counselor all out of town. So, that brings us to Thursday where I have a couple of visits and softball practice this afternoon and an afternoon of REST?!?!!! I have to work a lot tomorrow as well as the weekend, and I need to rest so I won't over do it. I'm very tired this morning while posting and sipping my :coffee2:
I do have a Praise the Lord~ though, we have been hunting for an inexpensive vehicle that wasn't junk for Kelli for several months and my dh found one yesterday (from a friend of ours) and bought it. It's not the "sports car" she wanted, nor the "old lady's car" she didn't want but a little Ranger Pickup in pretty good shape. The owner had just spent $600 fixing a few minor things and buying new tires for it and then decided to get his son something else. :cp:  :flow2: :cp: NO MORE SHARING A VEHICLE!!!!!

SunnyD57 04-15-2004, 10:21 AM http://www.harrythecat.com/graphics/b/sun22.gif Good Morning! :coffee2:
I have already gotten in my hour of walking (5:30 - 6:30am) on the T-Mill (walking 2 miles)... I don't go fast, I go long. I must say though - that last 10 min or so seems to take forever! Now all I have to do is get in my Sculpture Bands this morning and I got my hour and 1/2 of exercise in for the day.
We are suppose to have some nice weather http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_6_1v.gif the next few days here - I sure hope so! The sky is very clear and blue this morning - so nice to see :sunny: !!! I am tired of hearing my furnace start up this time of the year. It may get up to 65* today and if it does I will open some windows and freshen it up in here. They are calling for temps into the 70's by Saturday... ! Fingers crossed !
http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_14_36.gif Our flowers are beginning to open up too! It's so hopeful isn't it & beautiful!?! But yesterday when I went out to go to my Curves class I had to clear about 1/2 inch or so of ice and snow off the jeep --- jeeeesh! It melted, but I was worried about the daffodil's http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/16/16_14_18.gif that were beginning to open up... they were all bent over. But they look okay this morning - I know they are pretty hardy.

Hi CEEJAY -
WoW!!!! 12 hour days!! I agree with Sami, "when do you get in your workouts and time for yourself!" Hope you have a beautiful day today!
Hi SAMI -
Always good to see you and I especially love to hear of your progress! You should be so very proud of yourself! Make sure you take the time to stretch your muscles too - or you will hurt longer then is necessary for the change and growth of your muscles. But I don't know about doing that while ON the bike :o !!
I would love to have a trainer... maybe one day I will look for one too. Does he or she come to your home? How much are they? (if you don't mind me asking you that :o )
Hi ANGEL -
So good to hear from you again...
I do hope that the treatment will help you get the rest you need and that you feel better soon. Your son and his family as well as your family are all in my continued *Prayers*... I lifted you all up this morning special!
Hi MICHELE -
Come back soon and let us know how Charlie does today... what a bummer that he has to go through all that again! It's bad enough once!
Sounds like you are doing well with your plan... did you get in all your water? Some days are easier for me then others - it all depends on what I have to get done in a day, you know. I drink anywhere from 70oz to 100oz a day.
Hi WILMA -
So very good to hear from you!
You sound like you have been very busy as well!
I posted to you... did you see it on page 4???
Have you still been going to Curves with your long hours? I am due for another weigh-in and measure next week on Wednesday (4/21)... I know I will not see a huge weight loss because I have been weighing in all along, but I am hoping to see allot of inch loss... we'll see. I always fill up with anxiety when it's time for me to get that done :dizzy:
*Have a wonderful time on your weekend together*
*~*~*
 "Hello's" to everyone else... come post soon!
Well, I must go get the Sculpturing Exercises done for today.
Love you guys!!!

sunshinelady 04-15-2004, 10:27 AM Hey, I'm back . . . . .

Wilma~ I'm SOOOOOOO excited about your weekend!!! Wish I could go. . . .uh. . . . .but then that wouldn't be the weekend YOU wanted then. :lol3: I'm so glad you are doing that. That's the weekend, I want for MY birthday!! Although we normally go camping at the lake with our kids, their kids, and whoever wonders up. We will miss you, but enjoy it!!!
Sami~ Wow, I'm like Wilma, you are kicking butt!!! So proud of you my friend!!! Thanks for posting a little every day that helps us know how you are doing! You are definitely an inspiration!!!!!! :strong: :jig:
Ceejay~ Glad to see you posting even with your schedule. Take care and post when you can!!! What do you mean AGE might have something to do with it??? Surely not! I will not admit that one!!
Angel-lover~ You are still in my prayers!! I will pray a little differently that you can have rest, answers, hope and peace. We know that God is a GOOD GOD that he will deliver you and your family through this. In HIS time. That's the hard part. But you are doing YOUR part in giving it to HIM and praying without ceasing. {{{HUGS}}} :grouphug: We are always here for you!!!!
Michele~ So you have THAT look in your eyes, huh? I think it's wonderful!!! I realized while reading your posts that you and Charlie are doing something that is ever so important with each other. Praying together. That is one of the MOST IMPORTANT steps any couple can make together. Sorry, to hear about the scheduling problem. Yuck!! I think THEY ought to have to drink it too, don't you? Congratulations on the fasting! And the gallon of water! I would NEVER get out of the bathroom![

DeenieM 04-15-2004, 10:50 AM Good Morning to All!!!
I am really excited this morning to report that those pounds are gone from the weekend!! I am back to where I was on last Friday! I did not exercise yesterday because of various things I had to get done - one being a major grocery shopping trip and some catch up with the laundry after being gone all weekend - plus church last night - not to mention just being lazy - haha!!! But good news is - those weekend pounds are gone and now I can look forward to losing some more pounds by the end of next week. DH and I have an anniversary trip planned for June 8-11 :cloud9: and my goal is to be in Onderland by then even if its only 199!! We are going to Gatlingburg,TN to stay in a cabin and we want to go hiking and doing alot of activities(I really want to canoe down the river) that I couldn't do before because I was so heavy. So pray for me to continue striving for that goal. I do not believe that 11 pounds in 7 weeks is too much to lose!
SunnyD - thanks for the advice on the t mill - I have been trying to slow it down alot because I also saw that advice from Michael Thurmond on the makeover show. I have been walking so long though that I have to get it up around 2.9 mph or so to get my heart rate in the fat burn range of about 120 - 130 but I try to go for a longer distance at a slow rate as best I can. I don't try to kill myself I will assure you  !!
:grouphug: To everyone else - I pray for you to have a wonderful day as BIG LOSERS!!! That's what I'm striving to be - first time in my life I have wished to be a LOSER! But being a loser in this game is the real victory!
Everyone try to get that water in - I always strive for at least 70 oz. a day - I can usually drink that much without exploding :p !
Hope to hear from everyone soon!

sunshinelady 04-15-2004, 11:28 AM [size=3]I'm back. . . . . . http://www.angelfire.com/me4/brixi/GIFS/BRDFLYFLWR.GIF
Gary~ Always good to hear from you even while you're passing through. You are ONE BUSY MAN!!! Or maybe TWO or THREE. :lol3:
Have you gotten all the wood out of Rylee's teeth yet? It's a job, just keeping that pup out of trouble, if she's like ours.
Sunny~ Wow, 1 hr walking!!! That's is SOOOOOO GREAT!!! Glad to hear you are getting some nice weather. We have too the past two days, suppose to start raining again on Sunday. Maybe not with 40 degrees like last weekend. Your pictures were cute and your eggs were GREAT! Thanks for the Pat on the back with the softball! I did think under the circumstances that we did really well. We have another game tomorrow night and I pray that it goes much better. At least now I know a little more as to what to expect. Will practice again this afternoon and hopefully every little bit will help the girls too. Tuesday's practice, they weren't really there (bodies present but minds somewhere else.) So, it will be work tonight.
Sprout~Congratulations on the TWO lbs!!!! WOW 744 miles!!!!! You are really doing good!!! Keep up the good work!!! I had never heard of Hooked on Paces, but if it works for you, then that's what you should do. And I have to say, I've very proud of you exercising with your daughter!!!! That is the main reason I took on coaching the softball team, was the exercise. And main, it's a job!!!
Valerie~WELCOME and CONGRATULATIONS on losing 28lbs!!!!!! :cp: :bubbles: That is AWESOME!!!! Please come by as often as you like and post. This is a wonderful bunch of folks!!!! Lately it's been a little hard to keep up. But I love it!!! Glad to have you!!!
Aggie~ I also like udffus better than duffus. We have all been there. :) I am thanking God for our beautiful weather here in central Texas too. :D It's been so great the last two days, but I do dread the heat the summer months bring. Don't beat yourself up for what has already happened. Just begin new each day and ask God to help you be true to yourself and stick with your plan. He is a GOOD GOD!!! I am having the same problem. I start out good but somewhere along the way, I get too busy to ask for God's guidance and I seem to fall in the ditch. At least, my ditch is not as deep as it used to be.
Deenie~I know all too well what you mean about the salty things!!! That's my problem right now is fluid retention. I'm up a few lbs and it's all because I have been so busy and not planning my intake well. I drank a diet soda yesterday and it was like I poured it into my fingers and lower legs. :nono: You think I would learn. So glad that you got rid of those lbs!!! I was going to tell you that I was raised outside of Memphis. I actually was raised out toward Arlington, between two little towns - Bolton and Brunswick and then after I got married, lived in Bartlett. I miss that area. My brother and SIL live in Germantown and my niece and family live in Cordova. I also have lots of family in other parts of TN. And I would love to go back to Gatlinburg with you!!!! Oh, I love the mountains and Gatlinburg. I have family not too far from there too. :( Wish it wasn't so far from me. But hope you have a WONDERFUL time!!!! Small world. Good to have you here. Hope to hear from you frequently.
Well, guess I do need to do SOME housework today. The Lord knows it's not gonna go away without me doing it. I hope I haven't missed anyone, I surely tried not to. But we have had so many posts lately, it was hard to go back and forth in posting. {{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}} to everyone!!! Have a GREAT Thursday!!!!! Cya later!
DeenieM 04-15-2004, 01:21 PM Sunshinelady - just wanted to add that it is great that you are coaching this team for your daughter. I don't have enough courage to get out in front of people and do something like that - I don't mind doing other things but sports stuff is just not my area of comfort. I do however have a DS who is playing coach pitch baseball on our church team. I have to take him to practice tonight becasue DH has a Greek test tomorrow and must study. He attends Seminary in Germantown(that is where he is working on his Masters of Divinity) but we go to church in Memphis. I have been too all those places you mentioned in your post and am very familiar with all of them - it is a great place to live. Inner city Memphis is being abandoned like a burning ship though - people are moving out everyday because it is getting so bad! They are moving to Germantown and Cordova and Bartlett and even North Mississippi because taxes and crime rates are so high! I am really looking forward to the Gatlinburg trip - :cb: haven't been anywhere by ourselves in a long time and sometimes taking trips with the kids is more work for me than staying home!! God bless and have a great day!
DeenieM

The Holy Alphabet
Although things are not perfect
Because of trial or pain
Continue in thanksgiving
Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
Imagine life without His love
Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
Love imparts to thee
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
Praise can do alone
Quit looking at the future
Redeem the time at hand
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command
Until we see Him coming
Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
Xalting God most high
Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but...
Zion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!

The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor.
The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything. Love and peace be with you forever, Amen.
PS: GOD LOVES YOU...PASS THE WORD ON TO MORE FRIENDS AND ASK THEM TO
CONTINUE TELLING OTHERS THAT GOD LOVES THEM TOO. JUST THINK OF HOW MANY
PEOPLE THAT COULD BE REACHED OUT TO AND BLESSED WITH THESE WORDS.
Mitchypoo 04-15-2004, 03:12 PM Hi all
Had lunch today with my old boss and the girls in the office. Was nice to see them and catch up.
Had an interesting call last night from the guy in Alpha that I hoped would ask me out. He finally called and we talked for quite a while. Asked if i'd come over for a BBQ sometime. I said yes.....but now confused if i'm not being right with Charlie. Well, we're not committed, so I have to just see what happens. Perhaps i'll never see him after all. It's awful being single and figuring this all out. I don't want to mess anything up, so i'll have to go with my gut.
Will try to post individually later, but know that you are all very dear to me and in my prayers! :grouphug:
doitforme 04-15-2004, 06:11 PM I finaly have all the software installed again, last week I spent my free time doing stuff for the Easter bullitin, and all the little handout and things, between that and work no free time. EZMONEY 04-15-2004, 10:03 PM HI GALS
So sorry I haven't been here much the last few weeks--so busy with all the sports going on and of course that darn chewing dog  I keep telling her " I said come here and cheer me up not CHEW me up  " She is really getting the hang of things if you know what I mean...SHE OWNS US!! ;) I have the evening off for the first time in I don't know how long, nothing to do but rest. Have dinner taken care of--easy!! went to the store and got fresh rolls, macaroni salad, spinach salad, chips and (beer for me ;) ) . We have a ton of ham and turkey lunch meat that needs to be eaten or tossed--so sandwiches tonight. Been really busy at work too so I haven't been getting those "short" days I LOVE. Went to my buddies son's high school baseball game last night and he didn't play! The coach is saving him for Friday night against a tough team-- oh well, he was sure glad I came anyway-- they won 17 to 4. Daughter has her last home match of the year tomorrow afternoon, then off to regionals which are 2 hours from me this year then nationals which are in Alabama--then home for the summer :cb:
SUNNYD-- OK girl how do I go about "kidnapping" those 2 precious little ones for the day? Such cuties! boy Mikala sure is growing. How did the walk with Joe go? good weather for you two lovebirds ;) ? I am so proud of your exercise routine! I found that if I covered up the TIME on the machine with a towel that sometimes the "journey" went a little faster--I know what you mean about the last 10 draggin' on--can you see TV or listen to music to help pass the time? Love the pictures of the fish, you have such a cute home! And you and Joe painting eggs together--Yea babe that's what I'm talkin' about    I can't wait until the end of summer and see the results of all your hard work!! Keep on truckin'!!!!
WILMA Happy anniversary :balloons: I hope you and your husband have a great week-end together! Knowing you "MARTHA" you have big plans :D Gourmet-gourmet!! and a little romance too I'm sure!! Enjoy your special time!!!
SAMI What ever has gotten in to you girl--WE ARE LOVIN' IT!!! Such a change in attitude and health!! So proud of you!! I bet your family is too. I am not so sure what the Dr. means by stretching while you ride--are you sure that is what he meant and not after? and before? How are all those kids doing? and the newlyweds?
MICHELE Things seem to be going good with Charlie--are you sure you want to risk going out with a |
