Welcome to the third challenge for 2004! Whether you are a returning Challenge Chickie, or new to the group, welcome!
:encore:

Spring is here, believe it or not, and we're moving into warmer weather...time to "Spring Into Motion" and kick up the exercise. The weather is improving- it's time for outdoor walks, bike rides, playing with the kids and pets. Or indoors, avoiding the April Showers and getting ready for summer and shorts weather.

Whatver your program, whatever your fitness level, you can participate.
Post your goal for the month of April, and join us for support and encouragement. Anyone is welcome to join us- please, make yourself at home.

This Challenge thread is being set up as a place where we can all come to share our progress, our struggles, our triumphs, and to cheer on those who are committed to a healthier lifestyle, and to just talk!

Let the challenge begin!

I am so excited to be doing this this month. I can't wait to get my goals and approaches down on paper (that's the way we do it in the medical field...gotta have a way to get to that goal!)

So I will be thinking about that and will post tomorrow sometime!

Don't let anyone fool you...into thinking you are anything less than what your potential is!!

Okay! Whew! Now that everything's up & running & a little housekeeping is done, I can call it a night. In the morning, I'll be posting my goals, as I get them in order- food, water, and exercise.

I did measure tonight, but I am going to re-do the biggies in the morning so I can calculate the total loss for the last challenge, and get a starting point for this one.

Morning agenda: get up too early, potty, weigh, check measurements, then 1 mile WATP, no matter what. Tazer me if I check in & haven't done it- seriously!

See everyone in the morning! :D

4. Loose 10 pounds (maybe more!)
5. Be healthier!

I've only been here a couple of days (lurking around in the journal area) but I was happy to see there is a challenge I can start tomorrow. I need motivation big time, and I love this site. I can't wait to get started. I'm in!

Now...do I need to post measurements or weight or what? I'm not sure how this works...

Hi chickies...I did my measurements this morning and although there wasn't a HUGE loss, I did lose about 7 inches total! That's a great thing! I also am down 6.5 lbs from Feb 21. Now, that's 6.5 lbs that I am NOT gonna see again! Yipee! Total weight loss since January is 9.5 lb.s I'm gonna get that .5 lbs off in the next week or so here! I swear!!!

Morning exercise already: bike 30 minutes

Gotta get ready for work, so I will check in later today with my goals for this challenge!

Have a great day all!

Good Morning! It's a brand new month, and I'm excited about the new challenge, and a new start- time to kick it into high gear now. :smug:

Welcome, Sylvia and Beckifer! It's great to see some new faces! You'll find an incredible group of women here- they never cease to amaze me!

Sylvia, your goals look great! Very acheivable!

Beckifer, I suggest taking measurements & weighing today, so that you have a start point for the challenge. There will be awards for pounds lost, inches off, meeting goals. Then, pick a few things to work on for the month. Whether it's sticking to your food plan, increasing exercise, getting your water in- it can be anything that you need to work on. I'll be listing my goals in a few minutes

Julie- 7 inches is great! See, you were building muscle with all that exercise, so you lost fat but built up your lean muscle. Excellent! :) I knew it, I knew it, I knew it.

I'll be back in a few with my goals!

**Jennifer**

My Goals....

Food:
*Stay on plan
*Only deviance will be 1 work lunch 4/7 and 2 dinners out with hubby

Water:
*96 oz water before I leave work each day

Exercise:
*Every work day morning- 1 mile WATP or 30 minutes on the bike
*Afternoon exercise- Upper body, lower body, or bike as scheduled
*Weekends: 10 miles on the bike, minimum

I'm printing this up to keep at my desk, and on the fridge, and on my nighttable- to keep me focused & motivated. Got my first 24oz of water that I'm sipping now... :coffee:

Time to hit the journals, post my measurements, and get to work- at least for a little while. Have a great day, chickies!

It's April one and I'm joining the challenge. I am new on my diet and not sure how to set it but here goes.

1. Exercise by walking on my treadmill Mon - Sat 20 Minutes
2 Increase by 5 min till it reachs 30 min
3. Walk minimum of 15 on Sunday
4. Drink my 8 glasses of Water daily
5. Lose at least 8 lbs by 1 May
6. Do my reading and research into emotional eating
7. Find at least 1 additional exercise to add to overall exercise plan, and do it a minimum of 3 times per week for at least 15 minutes.

Okay gang, I've copied this to my word program and will print it out and watch go over it each day. I just happened to measure myself today for the first time, so I didn't add that in, but will see what changes/losses in a month.

Good luck to all and keep at it.

Hi! I am Cindi, SAHM to 7 children ranging from 18mos to 18y and also an In Home Childcare Provider. I just joined the site last weekend and am excited about this challenge. I have T2 Diabetes and am working hard to get my blood sugar levels under control in a hurry, so this is perfect timing for me, as exercise is the key to making that happen.

I am not following any particular plan, kinda winging it for now by eating less sugar, less carbs and generally just much more healthy than I have been in recent months.

My goals are:

3 balanced meals and 2 snacks daily

64 oz of water to start, then need to increase.

Exercise daily, even just 15 minutes is better than none. Heck, for me, 5 is a much needed improvement :o

Take daily meds DAILY!!!!

Get enough sleep, I need it and I deserve it!!

15 minutes minimum of "Me Time" daily. I have spent so much time taking care of everone else that I have neglected myself for far too long. Stress also elevates blood sugar, so this might help.

As you can see, I have lots to work on, but I can do it with a little help from my friends. I AM WORTH IT!

Thanks for the motivation!!Looking forward to getting to know you all better!!

Hi Magnolia Cindi! Welcome! Glad to have you both on board with us!

Your goals look really good- great idea to build up the excercise, especially if you're just starting out.

Magnolia- as far as the emotional eating, have you checked out the Skinny Daily Post? Here's a link to it- http://www.skinnydaily.com. There are some great journal exercises geared to figuring out your triggers. I've only know about that site since January, but I can get lost reading through the archives.

Cindi, I'd kill for 15 minutes of me time! :D With 7 kids, I'm surprised you have 15 seconds to yourself! Anytime you need to steal a few minutes away, we're here!

Ok, really getting to work now! I'll catch everyone later! ;)

:flow1: Mostly checking to see if my new avatar is working. I had to make it really small to fit. I'm excited about a new challenge as well. I'm trying to shake things up a bit and do things differently. I'm hoping Spring will spring up some weight loss (and maybe that new job I've been hunting). Mary in WV

Well, I'm just starting this thing --- again. For 12 days I have been eating healthy (except for Sonic once & McD once)... Drinking water was added after 7 days, and now I suppose it's time for the exercise... I'm gonna start out by walking, but may end up joining the gym. I used to love the machine that you stood on & put your leg over this bar & pulled down, working the glutte's... I'm tired of all the dimples on my butt! :dizzy:
I haven't lost nay pounds yet, but I have hope, and Iknow if I keep doing what I'm doing, I will. I did before, just this way, well, with exercise. Gotta do that.

My goals for the month will be:
- Stay OP with food - Approx 1200 calories per day, low fat
- Stay OP with H20 - Approx 1.5 - 2 L per day
AND:
- START exercise, regardless of what it is, 15 min. at least per day
- STOP weighing every day!
- Lose 3 pounds by Easter, 4/11/04

Okay, here's hoping y'all! Hoping I can stay upbeat and trust my Higher Power for help when I can't do it alone!
I think He works through others, so that's this board for me right now! Thanks all for being here, look forward to this month!!!!!!!!!

I am really excited to run across this challenge. It is just what I needed! I am ready to get serious and down to business! :drill:

My goals for the upcoming weeks are as follows:
1.) Drink lots of water!
~This is so hard for me! I know I need to do it, so it's first on my list!
2.) Exercise at least three times a week.
~I have all the latest DVD's...all still in plastic. I need to break them out
and use them! :strong:
3.) Eat well and healthy...
~I am a compulsive eater so I really need to control my emotions and
stress so I don't overeat. THIS IS THE HARDEST THING FOR ME TO
DO! :moo:

I will support everyone along the way! I know we can do this together! It is nice to have this support system here!

Thanks!

P.S. Is there a particular day to post progress reports?

Hey, I lost 50 lbs in one week!!!! j/k April fools and all that but really.

I'm new here and I am serious about loosing weight and getting in shape.
I goal this month is to be able to go shopping on 4/30/04 and get a new pair of jeans that are smaller than the ones I got now..

One thing that seams to be working for me is to drink a large glass of water or ice tea no suger first thing in the morning and not eat anything until I have been to work for at least 1/2 hr. at which time I usually like to have some home made low or no carb soup tomato based, but today I stooped low and had Campbells chicken gumbo at 150 cals. two hours later I like to have a large cup of hot green tea with lemon.
Lunch time I like to have a whole wheat tortilla with whatever filling,
like yesterday it was a little left over steak sliced thin with low fat sour cream and salsa and salad greens with green salad on the side with low fat Italian dressing and 1/2 avacado.
two hrs later I have my apple and some water through out the day.
I also sip on some low salt V8 I keep in the refrigerator.
When I get home from work I'm not starving and I feel like I have lots of energy to do all that massave pile of house work and cooking...
I do walk a lot and try to walk fast enough and far enough to get my heart rate up..

so have your fingers crossed for me so I can get those new jeans... ok?
you know I have my fingers crossed for you I really do..

Hey!! Of course, I'm in. *G*

Kinda in a hurry to go work out right now (or finish, anyway...), but here's my basic goals.

Workout goals:

Bike for 20 min, 4x/week.
Stepper (with increased resistance, which I JUST discovered!) at least 3x/week w/ weights.
At the VERY MINIMUM, 500 situps per day.
4 1-mile walks per week, MINIMUM!! (Starting next week, because daylight savings is sunday)

Food goals:

Drink my darn water!! (that's at least 70 oz/day)
Take my vitamins! EVERY DAY!

Here's my other goals:

ST: 235
CW: 161
GW: 125 (I'm 5'1")

Starting Size: 22
CS: 13/14/15 (depending...)
GS: 9/10

Time I need to reach my goal: By July 1, 2004. My best friend is getting married on the 23rd of July and I need to be there, by then, no excuses!! (All the rest of her bridesmaids are a size 0, 2, 4, and 8. I don't wanna be a 15 then!)

A li'l background info on me, for those of ya who don't know me. :) Welcome to the challenge, first!! We always need more awesome chickies in these!!! :D
I'm 21, 5'1", and I'm a transcriptionist.

My goal for this challenge, in specific, is to drop from a size 13/14 to a size 11/12, or, if I am superJess, a size 10!! (that would be a dream, my friends!)

Hope everybody is having a wonderful day!! We can do it!! Yay for us!! :D

don't worry Stef, you will start to loose. maybe it just takes time to get into new habits and you can adjust your diet as the days go by until you do start to see results, the walking is a good idea..
I park a long way from where I work so I am at least getting two 10 min walks a day and then when I walk at lunch it works out to be 20 more min, and that is helpful. also I found a restroom in my work area that is farther away then the other one and it is up a long flight of stairs so I do that rest room now.
but every little thing helps right?

Wow, Wow, Wow! What a great turnout! It's so nice to see all these new faces in addition to the returning chickes from the Spring Fling Challenge.
:cheer:
Welcome to the group, Stefanie, Myrtle, Crystal, Partytime, Mksme123, and Oreo! Make yourself at home- you're now part of an incredible group of women- Yeah, I'm a little biased, but they really are great! We're happy to have you all aboard! :encore:

Welcome back to Mary, 2sw33t, and LucyKittyJess! Glad to see you return. I also hear from NorthernClipper- she'll be joining us when she can, but please, just send good thoughts her way.
:grouphug:

If I miss you, I promise, it's because I took notes in a hurry & well...I'm lucky I can read my own writing right now! I wanted to get in here once before the day was over- starting this at 3:30- who knows how long this will take :dizzy:

Mary- hope that the job situation shakes itself into place for you, and that this is your month. Rock on, Turtle woman. And I love that avatar- what a fine portrait, my friend!

2sw33t- Are you settled into your new place yet? Is unpacking considered cardio? ;) Looking forward to seeing your goals.

Stefanie- Welcome! Goals look real good, but I know I'd be hung up on the weighing one. I can get a little obsessed with that- I want to see some kind of change, even if it's a 10th of a pound on the digital scale. I'm nuts- I'll admit it. (That's not a bad thing, right??) And you're so right about getting moving- I put 2.2 pounds on in on by eating right-everything was right on target-just didn't exercise for about 10 days. I know this month, I can't slack, even for a weekend!

Myrtle- Welcome! We really never had a set day to announce losses- since we're all following different plans, and have different weigh in days, etc, I say, if you have a loss, post it & flaunt it anytime! :D We've got awards to give out for pounds lost, or inches lost (since the scale isn't always our best friend, right ladies?) At the end of the month, we'll recap our losses and successes, and celebrate. Which DVDs are you using?

Crystal- Welcome! I feel your pain with the snacking & sugary things. If I touch one cookie, it may as well be the entire bag. Chocolate chip are bad, but then, I can hear the Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies 3 houses over calling to me. ;) What types of exercise are you planning?

Partytime- Welcome! New Jeans shopping is always a great reward. Anything you're doing besides your food plan? LOL @ 50 pound loss- even if my butt fell off, it wouldn't be 50 pounds. ;)

Mksme123- Welcome! I especially like goal #4- something I know I can forget to do waaay too often. :) Excellent mindset, chickie!

Oreo17- Welcome! You made me smile with all those dancing bananas- I swear, they look like they are doing aerobics. And I agree, even no loss is better than a gain- holding steady means we're on the right track, at least. Which gym are you looking into?

LucyKitty- you are going to have abs of titanium by the end of this month. Holy poop, girl! Oh, to be young and flexible again. 1 size should be very doable, especially with all that activity. I'm tired just thinking about all those situps. Now I need a nap.

I think that's everyone...and it's 4pm now...gotta go refill this glass of water, hit the ladies room, and return some phone calls. Have a great one, ladies!

but really I had lost 10 so far and that has been a struggle from the end of October and to now. But I am trying harder than ever and so I am going to get those new jeans and probably new :o underware..

Oreo - I used to do 'em for fun... I know, I'm crazy. :D It comes from months and months of work! You'll get up there, just keep workin' at it!!

Stef - If you aren't accustomed to working out every day, then you won't have the motivation right away. :) It's a really lame thing, but to get that motivation, you hafta kick your butt into gear and start working out. After a few days, you look forward to it!! :D Also, try working out a little bit in the morning, right after you get up. That gives me a lot of energy to deal with the day. You'll get there!!

Okay, so I'm at 300 situps now (after my 20 min on the bike) and eating my lunch. I'm done with just over 50 oz of water -- WOOHOO!! I snuck in some cyrstal light with lunch, and since it's got no sugar and is mostly water, I consider it water. :P

It is so beautiful today!! Sunny, warm, and they just cut the grass, so it smells awesome, too. Argh!! And I have 5 tapes to do?! They'll never get done at this rate. *G*

I can't believe how many new chickies have signed up for this challenge!!! WTG, you guys!! I'm totally proud of you all!

I love this idea - thanks Jennifer! Ok, here's my goals:

1. Stay on SBD
2. Cardio 4-6 times each week
3. Weights 3 times each week
4. Increase (and make it habit) drinking water
5. Lose at least 6% body fat (I'll be happy with a skinnier tummy)

I can't go by weight, I get to caught up in the scale, so if I ignore it and just go for the body fat I can do this.

Good luck everybody!

Ok, calories for today are now up a little bit. My bad tooth (need a root canal, someday when I have the money to get one...) is giving me ANOTHER migraine, so I'm taking a narcotic painkiller, and that means I have to eat something with it. I'm gonna do 1/4 cup vanilla ice cream, because it calms my tummy and makes the nausea go away. So... that ups me to just over 1500 cals for the day, but that's ok. Could be worse. I could have baked a cake and eaten half of it.

Anyway... I know I post a lot, but if I write it down, then I'm being honest to myself. If I end up being dishonest with myself, what's that going to get me? A whole lot of nothing is what!!

Other than that, my longest tape today was an interpreter tape, which is my FAVORITE tape to type! I just hit play, and type every few seconds. :D They're longer, but they get me the same amount of pages in half the work!! I am so lazy. Anyway... hope you guys havin an awesome day!!

Angel: awww CUTE!! :D
Julie: Darn right you're joining this one!! Since we have basically the same goal, I just discovered, you had better be joining if I am!! :D Besides that, if you weren't here, who would bring out that tazer!? :)

Just what I need! A challenge, and a motivated group of people to support and encourage :) My goals for April are:

* Maintain my healthy eating habits (except for when the Easter Bunny

I reviewed my goals from the last challenge and found that I didn't reach all of them, but I did work hard at it and did manage to meet some of them. I need to continue to realize that this is a LIFETIME change and I didn't learn these habits overnight (thus goal #1). I didn't have a weight goal last time because I found that the first challenge I did and I just got discouraged when I couldn't meet it. This time around, I have a better idea of what my body is able (willing?) to do with this weight and what it takes to get there! These have been invaluable lessons and I would have never learned them if I hadn't participated in the last two challenges. They have really kept me motivated!

I have finally sat down and written out my goals and will revise/update as needed throughout this challenge! They are as follows!
Goals (or things to do) for the Easter-Spring into Motion Challenge:

1.Remember to be gentle with myself daily/hourly, allowing for my human side but also remembering why it is that I am making sacrifices: lose weight & get healthy & fit! (Hiking!)
2.Plan weekly menus (generally)
3.Exercise daily in the morning-30 minutes; twice on Saturday or Sunday.
4.Drink 64-80 oz. Water daily
5.Spend 2-3 nights after work outdoors with daughter
6.Ultimate weight goal for this challenge (end of April?): to be in the 160’s and stay there!

I'm so happy to see MEL here!!! YEA! :dancer: :cp: :flow2: OK, that's enough...don't want your head to swell!

It is great to see so many NEW faces and some of the old ones, too! What a great group we have got going this time around. I am counting on lots of inspiring/motivational words encouragement from all of you and promise I will give it back, too!! All the way to the end!!
:bravo: :cb: :dancer: :twirly: :cheer:

Here's to a great start with this challenge...

Julie: Darn right you're joining this one!! Since we have basically the same goal, I just discovered, you had better be joining if I am!! :D Besides that, if you weren't here, who would bring out that tazer!? :)

LOL...Lucy, you are too funny! Where is Lisa??? You know she has used that tazer more than me...and usually ON me! Jennifer just threatens it...she's such a pushover!! ;) I only bring that thing out when absolutely necessary!
Catch you in the morning!

:coffee: ......... :D

Good Friday morning. I think I only posted once yesterday when I joined up. So I'll have to start keeping track of how everyone is doing, for now...........
Hello:
Jennifer, kidein2005, Sylvia, Beckifer, Magnolia, Mary, JCH, Stefanie, Myrtle and Cindi.

I hope all of you the best ever. Good Luck.

Jennifer - I think you wanted to know what type of exercising I would be doing. Well, I've been having a problem with that because I honestly haven't figured out when to schedule it in my day, but the others at the stay at home mom's forum has helped me unbelievably. I finally exercised yesterday. I have a stationary bike that I'm starting to ride, I start at 20 minutes or so and I'm working up from there. A couple days a week I'm gonna try to get outside if hubby will watch the kids so maybe I can go walking or something ALONE, if you know what I mean. Anyway.

Good Luck and I'll check in later.

Got up a bit late today so had time to do 20 minutes on the bike. Felt good! I plan to do weights when I get home tonight!

I wanted to add a goal, which I forgot yesterday. It is:
To journal my daily food eaten on this journal every day...no matter what!

I did that in the last challenge and helped me to realize and be accountable for what I did eat (even if it wasn't the best decision...) So here I am so far...

B-fast this morning: Turkey & cheese roll up on honey wheat tortilla w/ a smidge of honey mustard! I'll munch on a few pecans on the way to work, just to get in my fat!

Water: about 20 oz. already this morning! Yea!

It's going to be a glorious day here in West Michigan. STill not as warm as I would like it to be, but sunny, anyway...AND it's pay day! AND it's Friday and I have 3 days off after today!

Happy Friday to you all!

Morning, everyone! It's Friday...and can you believe we have to turn the clocks back this weekend? Ugh!!! Man, I am not a morning person to begin with, so combine that with even less sleep, and getting up earlier to exercise-I am going to be a hurting puppy on Monday! :(

I was all out of sorts last night into this morning. My head was killing me when I got home, and I made the mistake of laying down. Yup- I fell asleep at 6pm, and hubby woke me up at 9 to feed me.

Dinner:
1 slice light oatmeal bread, toasted
1 slice Kraft fat free cheddar
2 oz tuna w/ 1 tsp fat free miracle whip

So, I couldn't really fall back to sleep, and tossed until around 2am. I'm tired this morning, but it could have been worse- eating right makes such a huge difference.

Today's food:

Breakfast:
1/3 cup Smart Start
1 pineapple cottage double
1 oz fat free mozzarella cheese

Lunch: (defrosting here as we speak)
3/4 cup chili
3/4 cup elbow macaroni
sprinkle of cheddar cheese

No ideas for dinner yet...but the day is still young.

Already into my first 24oz of water. And luckily, I got out of jury duty. Yes!!!

Okay, to catch up with everyone:

Nefertiti- Welcome! Good to see you here. Goals look really good!

Julie- See??? I knew I was bound to miss someone. :o You know I couldn't really forget you...I promise it's not on purpose. Goals look good, girlie. As far as that tazer, I'll be using it on myself first & foremost, to get my buns in gear on the exercise front. ;)

Mel- Mom2!!! Welcome! Glad you joined us! Pedal on, chickie- goals look great, and hopefully you'll have more free time to yourself. I never thought of using Ralph time to relax/meditate to....I may have to try that!

Lucy- you & that ice cream! you are begging for the tazer, aren't you? Hope the tooth feels better- that's no fun at all.

Angel- great picture- that's too cute!

Lucia- Welcome to the group! Good to have you on board. I hear you as far as those careless comments- a woman I am forced to work closely with has a problem- no matter what she says, she goes outof her way to be hurtful. Just this past Wednesday, our boss brought in an italian lunch- I stayed on target & ate what I brought in. Of course, this woman had a comment for that. Had I eaten the lunch of a small scoop of baked ziti, 2 meatballs & a piece of italian bread, she would have commented, so I can't win either way. I used to let it bother me- it took a long time to get to the point where I can say that her comments aren't because of anything that I do, they reflect on how nasty a person she really is.

Crystal- I'm sure it's hard to try to set a schedule with 3 kids. How are mornings as far as trying to fit in 20 minutes? I'm addicted to the stationary bike that we got- the ladies from the last challenge can attest to that...I'm a bit obsessed with it. Alone time...ahhh- enjoy that when you can carve some out for yourself!

Ok, ladies...off to actually do some work....make it a great day!

Jennifer - I don't think my way of unpacking could count as cardio. Unpacking, for me, consists of pulling an object from a box, staring blankly at it for a few minutes, glancing around the room for a few minutes, and eventually putting the object on a shelf in the closet because I can't figure out where it should go.

Good to see all the oldtimers again, and the newcomers (like Mel :) ) as well.

Alright - here are my goals:

Weight: 155 (this would have been easier had I met my goal for the last challenge...)
Body Fat %: 27%
Running (same as last time, since I stopped using my treadmill): 1 mile @ 5mph (or, in 12 minutes at the track), 2 miles @ 4mph (or, in 30 minutes)
Weights: increase #s, increase number times/week, decrease reps/set
Curves: 5x/week (I've decided I like going every day)
Eating: 1200-1400 5 days/week, 1800 or less the other two days (i.e. weekends)

I'm not sure yet HOW I'm going to add running back in, while going to Curves every day and increasing the number of times I lift. I may have to start doing something in the morning, as much as I hate the thought of getting up before 6am. :faint: (I looked for sleeping smilies, but this is the closest I saw.)

Well, time for more coffee! :coffee:

Morning Challenge Chicks!!

Yesterday was a great day with the eating and water, but not enough exercise. I am recovering from a high blood sugar episode on Tuesday and am just feeling human again. Maybe today!! It's a shame I had to be scared into doing this(Blood sugar was in 250-400 range for who knows how long), but I am glad I wised up and am trying, I already feel alot better, even without the exercise!

Everyone has great goals, I like seeing that so many are taking care of them selves on so many levels and that it's not ALL about the weight loss.

Okay Girls, gotta do some housework around here today. Will chack back in later!! Happy Friday!!!

Good Morning Everybody!

I feel really good this morning, about staying OP. Yesterday was one of those days where I wanted to eat constantly & wanted a :mcd: cheeseburger so bad I could LITERALLY taste it. Almost got one. But I didn't get it. Really it was a big mac that called me, but .... 48g fat! I ate sauteed chicken & broccoli instead! :cheer:

I still didn't exercise, but I know I will. I 'clocked' the distance to the tanning salon from my house and it's 1.3 miles. Gonna walk that at least twice this weekend, maybe three if I go this afternoon too. Wanna do that in the daytime though!! Not that it's a bad neighborhood, but you know..

Read everyone's posts & you are all doing sooo good!!!! This board is helping me a lot already. I look so forward to coming here & posting, even if I am not perfect. It's progress, not perfection... And, I didn't get this way overnight, I know. It will take time to un-do what I have done this last year...

Thanks all, have wonderful days & look forward to reading more in a bit!

Good morning, or at least its morning here, like, 7:38 AM. Im at work and its Friday, doesn't get better than that. I had a huge glass of ice water before leaving the house and I remembered to bring my half gal jug of water with me.
I am now having 1/2 cup of whole wheat pasta, with my special diet spiced up stewed tomatos on top, no cheese. I don't care much for "breakfast food" so I find ways to eat stuff I do like only modified to fit my diet plan.

Hey, Stef, I not perfect either but that is part of being human right?

I am so looking forward to new Jeans.

Whoop whoop (turtle break dancing). Jennifer, I hope you're right about the clocks changing this week end. Know why? Do ya? Do ya? Do ya? Huh? Huh? Do ya? Huh? I'll tell ya why.... 'Cause this midnight shift turtle only has to work seven hours that night. :coffee2: That's why. Woooooooo hoooooooooo. Of course in the fall, I have to work nine with no overtime.

Last two days I've managed to get my water in, keep food in control and (shhhhh don't tell Jennifer, I'm supposed to be doing it right now.... but) exercised both days. I need to set my goals. I set them for the last challenge, but I don't feel I worked diligently enough towards reaching them. I will set those goals as soon as I walk a one mile WATP. Sigh.... :cb:

I am having lunch now and today I have my special 150 cal 1% fat no carb lunch. its called the famous Partytime tuna pickle ordure's (hope I spelled that right).
I lay some hamberger dills on the plate, take my already been chilled water packed tuna and open the lid, drain, and place a scoop of tuna on each pickle.
the only thing I can complain about would be the sodium but I am looking to find a new lower salt pickle. I have a water chaser after each pickle.
that means I drink water wile I have my lunch.

*yawn* Good mornin'. At least I think it's still morning. *checks the clock* Yup, kinda. *G*

I slept in pretty late today... and man it felt good!! :D Breakfast was some leftover mexican rice & cheese from last night's dinner, along with a chocolate chip granola bar. I always feel guilty when I eat those granola bars, because they taste like a cookie. But it's a non-guilty cookie, right? I'm weird. :)

Workout today:

20 min bike
8 min stepper w/ weights
500 situps
Vacuuming the whole house
Sweeping & mopping the floors
Laundry

So... yay. I'll get my workout done. *G* I totally can't wait for daylight savings. We'll be back on the same time shcedule as my mom-in-law (AZ), and we'll have daylight hours that go until 10, very soon!! YAY!! :) :D :) I totally can't wait.

Oh, did I mention I'm now an actual AUNT?! Whoa!! :D We got married last August, so I kind of got some adopted nieces & nephews, but now I've got an ACTUAL nephew!! So weird!! My sis-in-law (i have more than one now?! I hadn't thought about it until just now, haha!) had her 2nd li'l boy Weds. Healthy, happy, brown haired little rugrat. :D Woohoo!!

TOmorrow I'm going to one of those tupperware party-type things where you pick stuff out of a catalog & they ship it to ya. Something called Southern Home, or something like that? Dunno. All I know is that I get to get out of the house and spend the afternoon/evening with my mom, her friend, and a bunch of her friends' friends. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Soo... needless to say, due to wine, junk food and (I'm certain) chocolate, tomorrow will NOT be an on-the-plan day. But that's ok with me. :)

Ummm what'd I miss?

Oh, food today!

B - Mexican rice (leftover) w/ cheese (a light sprinkling) and 1 granola bar, 1 coke
L - Tuna fish (plain) w/ mixed veggies
D - Not sure yet. Something nice with my hubby, tho.

Workout plan for this weekend, in case I forget to post it: Bike while he takes a shower (approx 18 min) each day, and go on a nice long walk with the dog on Sunday.

Ummm that's about it. I'm definitely going to get all of my water in today, and probably some extra. Beautiful, sunny Seattle is going to be up in the mid-70's and low-80's today & all weekend!! SCORE!!! :D :D :D I LOVE my sunny weather!

Hope you guys are all having an awesome day!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!

Yes! Outta here at 4:30 today, since I got stuck in a meeting & didn't get to take lunch. I did nuke my chili & eat at the desk, while shuffling 800 pieces of paper to get things finished today.

2sw33t- Wow! You & Lucy are definitely the exercise trailblazers here! Awesome!

Cindi- Yikes- that's high, chickie!

Stef- Egads- 48g of fat in that Big Mac is 2 entire days worth of fat! I'd have blown it big time- I love McDs fries...I'm weak when it comes to them.

Partytime- I'm not a big fan of breakfast foods, either. I used to nuke Meatball & Mozzarella lean pockets for breakfast & got some pretty weird looks here at work.

Mel- when you finish all that cleaning, pedal on down south & you can do a light cleaning here ;)

Mary- I see you there...ahem! Where's my tazer? Julie says I'm too soft- who'd she give it to??? Kick butt with getting 1 less hour of work this Sunday- that's the only benefit to this time change- I'd rather gain the hour of sleep in the fall ;)

LucyKitten- your hubby takes 18 minute showers? Have you timed him? LOL. Sounds like a nice lazy day there. Whatcha gonna order from that show?

Gotta go refill my water- 48oz in...48 to go, and a short time frame to be able to pee...I'll catch you all later on!

Jennifer - It's only 18 min now because he shaves his head. When he had hair, it took 35 min in the shower. I only know how long because I tend to ride the bike while he's in there. *G* I guess the stuff at the thing tomorrow is all like New Orleans Gothic style stuff... so I imagine I'll have a hard time narrowing it down to $100 of stuff. *G* Lots of wrought iron, steel, and gothiness. Just what I need!! More gothy stuff!! hehe!

I had to laugh at the post that mentioned having all of the exercise DVD's still wrapped in plastic. I have two Pilates DVD's currently collecting dust as well.

I'm hoping I'm not too late to join in the fun with you all!

If not, then here are my goals:

1-Walk 2 miles (at least) 5 times a week.
2-Actually unwrap the DVD's and watch them.
3-Keep calories under 1300.
4-Stick to the Low Carb diet I attempted to start last week. :cheer:
5-This week I am not going to concern myself with losing any weight. I'm going to focus on making changes in my eating habits and take advantage of the longer days.
6-Drink ALL of my water
7-not throttle my visiting mother-in-law who will poke me in my fat and tell me that she lost another four pounds and that WW wants her to teach classes.

Well, my goals look rather silly, but I think since exercise and I have been parted for nearly a year, that getting a handle on the food thing needs to happen first. Am I right in thinking like this, or would you all suggest upping my goals?

Current weight- a solid 200...which is down 4 from when I first joined this board!

The building is closed and the offices shut and my weekend BEGINS!! yay
I love all these goals and eager posts. Made it through the day and now off to pedal my buns away!! Or so I would like to think!! I've also taken some starchy food out of the diet for the weekend. I need a change to get it going again. Tomorrow the DD paints all the windows in the lobby for Easter so that will be good stretching for me.
Hope you all have a nice night and sweet dreams!

Chickies!!!!! I am back!!! Thank you, Julie, for missing me!!!! I have been on the challenge, but have not had a chance to post, due to one of the most stressful weeks of my life! But, things are calmer now, and I want to officially put down my goals.

1. Drink the %&*@ water. (I promise not to whine about it this challenge :))
2. Ride my bike at least 30 minutes at least 5 days a week.
3. Eat 22 points per day. (With at least some of my Flex Points weekly)
4. Do some light strength training.

I'm committed girls. Here I come shorts!!!!!

I am soooo glad to see all the response to the challenge. I just love it here, and I hope I can help you chickies as much as you have helped me. Julie, Jennifer, Lucy, you would not BELIEVE how much I have exercised. It has helped my energy level tremendously. Why didn't I listen to you guys before??

And I just typed this big long post about what I ate today and how I know this isn't supposed to be this way, 2nd day into a challenge and all, but I really went off the deep end! Let's just say, it was probably the worst food day I've had in a long time (even with the icecream earlier this week...well...maybe not!) It was confession time and you all deserved to hear what I had to say (LOL) but for some reason I hit something, and I LOST THE WHOLE DARNED POST!!! grrrrr!

So I am telling you all right here and now, that I am comitting to working extra hard this weekend, planning my menu for the weekend ands ticking with it. And y'all can tazer my a** if this happens again!!!

I did my exercise this morning and ate a smart breakfast but that's where the good part of the day stopped. I did finish with a salad from Ruby Tuesday's salad bar for supper tonight...but it was all after the fact! UGH!

So now, I'm off to spend some time with DD and play and give her my undivided attention (which she DOES deserve)...

Have a great weekend everyone and keep up the great work!

Lisa! Glad you're back with us, girl! I was checking the ranks & was going to check on you- you beat me to the punch. Look at the incredible turnout! :)

What a great group already!
:grouphug:

Okay- tonight I did 6 miles on the bike at nearly 20 mph- and finished up the last mile at a cooldown pace, for a total of 7 miles in 22:53 minutes. Hubby was watching TV & kept turning to watch me pedaling away on the bike- MP3 player cranked, head bobbing like when you rode your bike as a kid....feet moving, silent-singing to the songs...and of course, that's when he wants to ask me questions.

Dinner- since I had to pick stuff up for hubby, I had grilled cheese for dinner- I was under on everything yesterday- and I'm going to do the 2 mile WATP tomorrow morning, so the little added fat in the butter used for that, and the full-fat cheese will be worked off long before it can adhere to my butt.

Oh- Lisa- the aching tushie...problem solved- 1 small bath towel folded over makes a great cushion for where mine is apparently missing. Everywhere else has excess padding but that portion of the tush. Go figure!

Julie- woman!!!! Lisa is back with a vengeance, and I'll just bet she's got the tazer warmed up & ready to zap! I'd be skeered if I were you! LOL :D Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, & sweat your tuckus off this weekend...I'll do a sympathy ride on the bike this weekend just to see if it helps you.

Mel- love the new signature. Very true. Future, watch out- we're all on our way!

Hi Everyone

So far, so good. Spent yesterday afternoon in the yard doing some heavy duty weeding and digging, as we are planning a vegie garden! Can actually feel it in my muscles today. Have also had to deal with a downright nasty comment from a neighbor, took a few deep breaths, told her I was busy and went back to my weeding. I feel great that I did this, normally I would have fretted about her comment, and turned to food at some stage during the evening, but not yesterday :D.

That's it for now, hope everyone is having a great day,

It's a lazy Saturday here so far...but it's only 7:30...and it's Saturday, for heaven's sake!!! When I get done here, I'm gonna hop on the bike for 30 (maybe more...depends on how I feel) minutes and then do my whole body toning/weights which, if done thoroughly will take about 30 minutes.

So, no time to waste. Gotta get moving and then eat breakfast and then...housework calls. Lots of just plain ole cleaning to do today, and a project which I promised DH I would help him with...which has been put off for over a year when we redecorated last winter!!

Lisa, I knew you'd have that tazer out and ready!!! Lol! Drink that water, girl!

Mel, thanks for being sweet, as always! (Sure glad Linda's not here! She'd be using that prod on me, for sure!)

Jennifer...you rock sister....you and that bike, girl...you will go places! ;)

Lucia...ah...gardening...i'm so looking forward to that! Plant a few rows of lettuce for me, eh? What are you going to plant, BTW? My daughter (who's 4) wants a garden this year and so we are planning where to put it and what to plant! We will start it the end of this month, but gotta get the sod taken up and the ground tilled, first! I think I'll have someone else (maybe DH ;) ) do that part!!!

Kelly...be kind to your MIL!! I know that temptation, though and we are all working on becoming kinder and gentler people...even towards the ones we'd love to choke!!!! ;) Hope you have a great weekend, and stay the course, chickie!

Off to ride the bike! I'll check back in in the morning!

Happy Saturday!! Oh wait... :coffee: ...Okay, now Happy Saturday.
Wow, has anyone sat back and actually looked at everyone involved in this challenge? Look at this... :)
Yesterday I said hello to these girls...
Jennifer
hikein2005
Beckifer
Magnolia
Mary
JCH
Stefanie
Myrtle and Cindi...
Today I'm going to say hello to all of you again and these that I missed or are new...
partytime
mksme123
Oreo
lameducklucy
Angel
Nefertiti
Melody
Lucia
Kelly
Ozzie
Ladyrose and Lisa. :D
Wow, that's alot. :D I'm excited there are so many of us. I'll never be able to keep up with all that. I'm a part of the sahm forum and there's about 10 or so and I get totally lost. I have to make notes everytime I read through it. There were a few I wanted to touch on though...

mksme123 - from Texas? Me too. Where exactly? I see this was your first post, you're new. I'm fairly new. We should chat. :)

Oreo - you're getting married in August, right? WTG. You're trying to stay away from chocolate, Good Luck. I love chocolate, your name makes me hungry. :(

Kelly - Are you sure you should be counting calories AND watching carbs. When you watch carbs so much of what you CAN eat has alot of calories. Be careful, we want you to get enough of what you need. :^:

Yesterday was bad, bad, bad for me. :( Fridays are the hardest because I'm not at home. I even packed my meals and a few little snacks, and all my meals were good, it was what was between them that wasn't. I've got to figure out how to not screw up so badly on Fridays. I didn't get to exercise yesterday either, because like I said, Fridays are not good for me. But I'm refreshed and feel great and today is a new day. :D I'll start over happily, joyfully and ready for anything.

I hope all of you girls have a great Saturday.

Morning Challenging Chicks!!

I had another good day food wise yesterday, but my new meds are keeping me from being hungry so I am thinking I am not eating enough. I need to add snacks in to up the calories a bit. I almost got enough water, but had a crazy evening with injured baby, so didn't get the last bottle down. :?:

Didn't get the exercise going well either, I was busy and on my feet with 2 18mo boys to chase after, but no "intentional" exercise to speak of. Today I will get in some...I am DETERMINED!

To all of you that struggled this last day or two...As long as you acknowledge that you had a goof and get right back on track, you are gonna be fine. We will all have a slip or even decide that we just want to indulge in something and that's okay as long as you push your "restart" button and jump right back in. No need to beat yourselves up over it, what's done is done. Just think about it and decide what you can do to avoid the problems you faced!! I think if you are going to indulge, you should enjoy it!!! Then get back to the work at hand!! YOU CAN DO IT, LADIES! Please don't wait until you have a serious health problem to decide to care for yourselves, like I did!

For the rest of you(see I take the easy way, LOL!) Keep doing what you are doing! Keep sharing your successes, you are an inspiration to the rest of us!

I'll check in in a bit to see how we are doing today! Now go get busy!!! And drink that water!!!!!!!!!

Love to all!!

Have a wonderful Saturday!!!
:wave:Crystal ~hello right back to you!!!
Julie~ thanks for the idea. I forgot I can go get Linda!!!
Lucia~ I want to look like your avatar when I grow up!!!

I better get going, the DD is a hard taskmaster and will be ringing my bell to see what's taking SO LONG!!! TTFN

Morning again chickies...
It's now 11am and I did an awesome 90 minute workout! I wish I could do that every day, but I will take what I can!

Was talking with DH this morning about my struggles with this weight loss. He was very supportive and reminded me that almost 10 lbs in 3 months = about a pound a week and by the end of a year, if Ikeep going at this rate, I will be at my goal of 50lbs off! I know he's right, but I still had to whine that I want it come off faster. Like he said, it's not gonna happen with MY body...unless I starve myself! LOL! So, I am happy with the almost 10lbs in 3 months and the changes in my body and lifestyle. I am going to continue to work at this and remember daily that this is a journey, not an overnight change! Afterall, how many YEARS did it take me to develop these bad habits and get this way??? So, I go back to my first goal and will remember to be gentle with myself and remember why I am making these sacrifices!

MEL...you had just better keep quiet with Linda on this challenge, chickie! Or I'll just have to get the tazer out after you!!! ;)

bigtimeloser...thanks for the words of encouragement. We all can use those kinds of positive encouragements when we need to get back up. I'm pretty sure today is going to be a day full of successes! Yea me! And yea you for being here with us!

watkinsguru....c'mon chickie. You and me...we gotta get through these Fridays (and any other day) when we struggle to stay focused! I am going to come up with a mantra whenever I feel tempted. Something like..."You are worth SO much more than this...(whatever I want to put in my mouth)". OK, now it's your turn! :)

Happy Saturday all! I gotta go get this housework started or it will be afternoon before I even start!

Huge hugs to all!

Yes...weekend time! And as an added bonus, I get to drag hubby out shopping! :) I've got a bunch of gift cards that have been piling up & no reason to spend them, but hubby needs new jeans, and I need some new shirts- everything is big now (massive non-scale-victory!) and hanging funny- too frumpy for work, but ok for weekends. I've tried putting these in the dryer to shrink them, but it didn't shrink them enough! LOL.

Instead of the 2mile WATP this morning, we'll go do our shopping runs, and then come home, I'll change, and do the tape & then some UB. And hubby is getting back on track next week to. He's been so supportive, doing the cooking & prepping with me. There's also some great sales at Publix- my Smart Start is buy 1 get 1 free again...plus a bunch of other stuff.

Happy Painting today Mel. Tell my Dear Sister that she gets custody of you this weekend! ;) (((Mom2)))

Lucia- hope that rude neighbor gets what's coming to them. Good job staying focused & not letting it cause a binge for you.

Oreo- 3 inches is great- and 1.6 pounds is nothing to sneeze at. Step away from the chocolate, girl! ;)

Lisa- kick butt with the exercise- you're putting me to shame, girl!

Julie- give that precious little one an extra hug- I'll mail her seeds, if it gets you outside! :D what veggies does she want to grow?

Crystal- I'm so excited by the turnout. It seems no matter what time of day you peek in here, there's always someone around. Makes it so much easier to come & find someone to talk you out of doing something you shouldn't...

The last challenge, by the time we were nearing the end, we all felt comfortable asking the others to prod us, or tazer us into behaving. Lisa's the one we have to watch out for! LOL (just kidding Lisa..I don't wanna be zapped for that comment! :p )

Cindi- I may have to resort to your easy way! LOL I'm taking notes, but I swear, I can't keep up with everyone. I don't want anyone to feel left out, or ignored.

On that note, if I did miss you, I swear, it wasn't intentional. Whack me in the head & get my attention, if I did. :)

Have a great Saturday- I'll be back after we shop & I sweat!

Great NSV Jennifer! Forever motivated. She's such a role model. Everyone doing okay? I'm working on my third OP day. Although the pinto beans I ate yesterday fit into my POINTS plan, it was explained to me that it was enough carbs for nearly two days. Hmmm. I must investigate further.
I woke up last night at 1830 with horrible pains in my legs from standing still so long at that stupid job fair :flame: I can walk for what seems like forever, but I guess standing still for so long (in a slow moving line) was a different thing. OUCH. :halfempty
I've already done my work out for the day (1 mile WATP w/belt) and I'm done eating and I'm working on my last bottle of water. I've got a huge stack of bills that need paid. But I think I'll just take them to work with me tonight and pay them towards morning when most of the calls have stopped.
There was a flock (do they call them flocks?) of turkeys in the field behind my house, when I came home from work this morning. A Tom strutting for his Jennys: a sure sign of Spring. I tried to snap a photo with my digital, but they were too far away. That Tom was huge!
I guess I should post some goals, but I feel they're the same as the last challenge.

1. Drink 72 ounces of water a day (or more, hopefully more)

2. Stay within my POINT range (right now it's 28)

3. Exercise at least five days a week, maybe more. WATP, TAEBO,
Treadmill, bicycle etc

4. Be nicer to myself. More accepting if possible. Try to be more
optomistic. Support and motivate others in need of
encouragement.

5. And try to journal every day. If not on here, than on paper. But
journal-journal-journal. Thoughts, water, exercise AND ESPECIALLY
food.

:cb:  :dancer: :barbell: :tread: :comp: :strong: :high:

C'mon chickie...we can do this together! MTOM should be here any MINUTE! Still no sign of it...but I am done with the pigging out! Let's challenge each other...maybe we can stay accountable that way! Want to? We'll stay on track for the weekend...no veering off course with food! You in?

Ok. Its so hard working around my favorite food:( Well i will challenge you and just have one chocolate bar and count the points...:) Lets stay on track...

Hey Chicklets!

Hope you are all having a fabulous day!!

I am so excited, I have one bottle of water to go and I have eaten very well. I even cooked this jam up dinner for us and was worried that I'd over do, and I couldn't even eat the whole SMALL plate I fixed!!!! :cb: :dancer: This is such an accomplishment for someone who seemed to have a bottomless pit. I am feeling so much more hope than I have in YEARS!!! Maybe I really can do this!

IF I CAN, ANYONE CAN!!!!!!!

Wishing you all a successful weekend!

I'm getting so much better at keeping up with hubby!

In the parking lot, through the mall...no panting & needing to rest before I could continue. Only when we were on our way out, I was trying to hurry up, and twisted my ankle- looked like a total moron- stupid curb- was a slope, so I mis-stepped, and now my right ankle hurts, and is swollen. I've got to stretch it out. Funny, doing the WATP, or biking, or regular walking & stuff & I'm fine- put me in a mall & let me spend moeny- I get hurt doing that. LOL

Guess what I found at 7-11...they make a diet pepsi slushie now...and a crystal light one- raspberry ice! Finally!!! A low calorie alternative that still lets you have something frosty & cool when it's 88 degrees here the first week of April. Of course, it says "Enjoy it while it lasts" so we all need to complain to 7-11 that they need to keep these better choices around!

I've got an ace bandage on my ankle right now- hubby took care of finding one, and I'm going to try to move around on it. I don't need to be sidetracked for even a week with this challenge- not going to accept that. And if it does give me problems with the WATP tapes, I'll just have to up the bike work, and put those tapes aside for a week or so.

Today:

"Brunch" at 10:30 was a Taco Rollup:
3/4 cup taco meat
1 low fat tortilla
1/2 oz shredded cheddar

Snack: 4:30pm
20 oz Raspberry Ice 10 calorie slushie

Dinner:
Don't know yet, but I'm waaay under on my numbers so far. Since I'll be up later tonight & trying to get up a little earlier tomorrow, I'll have another "snack" tonight.

Don't forget to turn your clocks an hour ahead tonight when you go to sleep!

Oh my goodness, today....well what a bad eating day I had! I wouldn't blame you chicks if you made me leave the challenge :( . And here I was threatening Julie with the tazer!!! Julie, the tazer would be too kind for me!!! I went overboard. OMG - I was a wild woman!!! Yikes!!!!! I worked my a** off in the yard, so I got some exercise, but I'm not sure what was my problem today :?: .

Here's the deal - tomorrow is a new day, and I am going to start fresh. I am very committed to this challenge - honest!!! I let the weekends "seduce" me into being carefree.

Jennifer - Poor chickie! I hope your ankle is o.k. Be sure to take care of yourself.

And...
Mel & Cindi - Way to go on the good eating!!!! I want my post to look like yours tomorrow. You are really encouraging me. :) Good job chicks!!!!

Crystal - I hope your day was great today. Sounds like I had a day today like you had yesterday.

Hotcup - Are you liking WW? I do WW also, and I really like it. Hope you are well :)

Lucy - Are you still full of energy?? Any Judo moves today?? Hope your back is feeling better chickie!!

Julie - We are planting a garden too!!! It will be a bit small. I want tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, peppers...just a few things!! Hope your day was awesome. Do you forgive me for threatening you with the tazer??? Am I a tazer bully?? I must surrender that device over to Jennifer, our fearless leader...:)

Here's to a fabulous Saturday evening for all the chickies. I'm off to ride my bike and try to work off some of these calories.

You can stay, but you've got to self-tazer tonight! Zzzzzzt! ;) No, seriously, we all have those days. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, get back at it in the morning, with a burst of exercise to start things off right.

Ok, dinner was:
5oz cube steak
1 tbsp A1 steak sauce
2 cups wax beans

and later, I can still have fat free, sugar free chocolate pudding, with a dollop of fat free, sugar free cool whip! Yum!!!

In the morning, I am going to try the WATP 1 mile, and if it gives me trouble, I'll do some biking. I swear, this is why I don't shop in stores- online is so much safer for me! LOL

Hi Gang

I see everyone is keeping posted, except me! I've stuck to my tasks, stayed in my food, exercise and water. I've even lost another pound since Wednesday.

I'm a bit worried about last night. I don't think I did bad, just not sure what it was under calories.

Yesterday, I had a slim-fast berry granola bar 220 calories
Lunch 1/2 cup eggbeaters and 1 slice diet bread 100 Calories
Pear 125

Then last night we went to a Japanese Habachi Steak house
I had salad w/ginger dressing
the vegtables
beansprouts
fish
and rice, if anything was very bad it was the rice but I had 855 calories to cover me so I should be pretty good, when we came home I had nothing.

Still get those nagging feeling about getting pushy and it happening faster but try and work my way through it. I found a book that I'm reading which talks about flipping your switch, to lose weight and take it off ane keep it off, so far, I'm finding it very accurate and interesting. I've always felt that the major part was the mind and once the mind was right the body would follow.

Another day so I will walk, and drink my water, and exercise. And hope another pound lost by Wednesday weigh in!

OK, I just typed this really nice post to you and somehow the mouse fell and I lost it!!! That's the 3rd one this morning that I have lost...and when you hear my story, you'll know that this is not easy for me!

First, let me say that I'm so sorry about your ankle. I hope it heals soon and you can be up dancing again with Leslie...and you wanted to try Tae Bo, too! :( You'll find a way to keep moving, I'm sure, but keep it up and iced! That will help with the swelling! I sure hope there's no broken bones!

OK...well onto my story...I did awesome yesterday with food and exercise! Almost perfect...YEA me! It WAS perfect, but I wanted to try a Zone bar and we bought some at Walmart (only $.88) so I had one on the way out! Tell me why they have so many carbs??? Anyway...

I was cutting an onion for our most delicious meal that hubby was making last night...grilled fajita salad (it was yummy) and...I missed and cut my finger! It was right near the tip and cut part of the nail with it. If it had been any bigger, Imight have considered getting it stiched, but it's only about 1/8" wide, but it cut practically through...just hanging on by a "thread". I have it taped up real tight and am hoping it will heal! Hubby looked at it (he cuts his hands at work all the time...works with metal...so he thinks he's an expert on cuts) and said it would "hurt later, but would heal!" He's sooo sympathetic...NOT!

Anyway...that's my story! Ihave plenty to keep me busy today, so I must get off my butt and get going!

Happy Sunday..and hope eveyone remembered to turn their clocks ahead!! We are missing church today because I forgot! Oops!

Hugs!

Julie - I cut my finger last night too. I was slicing open a package, and was being careless. However, my cut is not as bad as yours sounds, just really sore!!

I am missing church today too- tsk! tsk! My husband is out of town all this next week, so I didn't want to wrestle the 3 boys alone.

Congrats on the perfect day :) I'm hoping to have one today!! Thanks for forgiving me :)

Maggi - I, too, got addicted to this site :) Just have to keep peeking in to see what is going on. Hope you are doing great today :).

Jennifer - I am off today to go and find one of those diet slushy drinks. I love those, but don't drink them because they are so sugary. Thanks for the tip :) Hope you are feeling better today with the ankle!!!!!

First let me say it was Hotcup with the bare naked ladies!!! Sorry Madcat!
This is not the first time I have gotten confused with you 2!

Julie~ so sorry about the finger! OUCH! Hope it heals soon! :faint:Yes I am English and Welsh. But born here. Some of my Gram is still with me. She raised us. For some reason this website brings that out when I type. I think it's all the "international" bits:lol:

Lisa~ Thanks and hope you have a better day today. I'll be rooting for you!!! Everytime I see your avatar I want to take a BITE of the BUNNY!!!

Jen~ My DD2- OMG I couldn't believe it!! Hope you ankle gets better real fast. Try ice once in awhile for short periods only. Don't freeze it too much. Just cool it. Especially after the bike. Mom2 will shut up now!

I am starting off the day very well and intend to stay that way. Tuesday is food shop day and I need more fruit. I will spare you the "medical" details from my journal  but will not be doing any exercise today. I could not finish exercising last night either. . But I will keep up with the food and water till I can get back to "moving" around! Gotta go and take some weight off the sore butt! Adios mi amigos!

Have a great day and take care! Happy Sunday!!

Well, the clocks are changed, but I don't have to be happy about it, do I? I'm not a morning person at all!

Unwrapped the foot this morning to let the blood circulate a little bit. I can walk on it- it's just tender, and I think I need the extra support for a few days, just to be on the safe side. Going to take it easy- try the 1 mile WATP & if that gives me trouble, try the bike instead. I did UB last night with resistance bands, just to change things up.

Breakfast today- well, more like brunch at the hour I ate-
1 cup slow-cooked oatmeal with splenda & cinnamon
9 slices turkey pepperoni
1oz fat free sharp cheddar

hubby & I are going to have a pretty lazy day today, which is good. He deserves a break, too.

Maggie- you are probably under for the day- everything looks good! As far as flipping the switch, I think for the first time, that's what's actually happening with me. I'm not sabotaging myself..I'm not letting other people talk me into doing things that aren't on plan. Not a doormat any more- and I'm doing this because I'm tired of being so tired, and rundown, and out of shape. All the right reasons..for the first time.

Julie & Lisa...you two, don't think that because I'm hurt, that's an excuse to go get hurt. ((poor chickies!)) we're a pretty sad bunch, huh?

Mel- that explains that regal air you carry....Welsh & English...odds fish & all that! ;) The things I can say in welsh can't be put on these boards without getting me reported...:D

Ok, ladies...it's taken me 2 hours to get this post in...whoever I miss, I apologize in advance. Have a great Sunday!

Hi all. Jen, becareful with that ankle. I use to sprain mine all the time. Do you have some hightop tennis shoes? My DH is putting my ellicptical together. Yeah. I was doing 30 mins on the one at the gym. We had a free pass and decided not to join, but to put the money on our own equipment. We already have the weights.
We have boys this weekend, so it's kind of laid back here. My gson is 8 and DH son is 9. They both go back to their moms tonight. So our diets are a little off. But thats only four days of the month.
It sure helps to know if you fall off the wagon, you can always dust yourself off and get back on. Especailly when all you nice people are on that wagon with a hand out to pull us back on. lol
Well, take care, I really need to start on my water. I drink four cups of coffee for breakfast. But thats all the coffee I drink in the day. Lots of luck today.

Jennifer - take it easy on that ankle!! :) You'll be okay...

I did not do well with food yesterday, but that's okay. It was my official OFF day. Calories today are still under 500, and I've had breakfast and lunch. WOOT!! That leaves a ton for dinner!! *G*

Let's not go into the details of yesterday's food, but simply use the two words: wine, cheesecake. That's all I need to say. *G*

Anyhoo... gonna update more later, but hope everybody's having ag reat day!

Well, it's cold here again in Michigan! It snowed on and off here for a while yesterday! And today I don't think the temp got up past 40! But...the sun was shining! :)

Food eaten today (since this was one of my goals):

B-fast: about 3/4 cup oatmeal, 6 pecan halves, 1 & 1/3 T raisins & splenda w/ 6 oz. milk--then about 2 oz. deli ham about an hour later! (4C, 3F, 2P)
Lunch: Homemade chicken noodle soup w/ about 5-6 homemade noodles and lots of veggies, 3/4 cup cottage cheese (1-2C, 3P)
Snack: Fat Free yougurt (6 oz.) (1.5 C, 1 P), 2 whole Mac. Nuts (2F)
Supper: 1/2 cup cottage cheese (gotta love that protein), 1 cup tuna noodle casserole, sauteed veggies (summer squash, onion, zuchinni), 1/2 cup milk. (4C, 2.5P, 3F)

Looks like I'm under in the area of protein, so I'm gonna have some deli meat later! Yummy!

No exercise today! :( Just never got there! I'm pretty sure I was supposed to do it twice today! Oh well! Got lots of other things done, though!

Tomorrow, I will do exercise first thing in AM! Really!

Lucy...cheesecake & wine! Sounds great to me! I hope you enjoyed it! ;)

Ladyrose...howe cool that you getyour own gym! I can only dream about that! We just don't have room! Just enough room for the ex. bike and that is tight! I supposed if DH would give up some of his space in the garage, we could manage something!

Miss Jennifer...you are still my hero...and apparently a whole bunch of other people's hero! :D Take care of that ankle, chickie!

Mel...Hopeyou got to "moving" around today! Maybe that fruit helped, huh?! ;) Did you drink your water, too chickie???

Lisa...i hope your finger heals! Mine is feeling better...I even took off the bandage today and cut off the part of the fingernail that was just hanging off! It only hurt a little...I'm such a wuss! ;) You and me Lisa...I keep seeing more and more things about us that are alike! Like the "no church" thing and the cut finger...too funny! Now, tomorrow chickie (if you didn't today) we will BOTH exercise!!! Right???

I'm going to go tuck DD in, so I'll catch you all later!

Hugs to all!

Hi!! Today was a bit better than yesterday! But I just need a "Monday" to start fresh. I am programmed that way. If I "mess up" on a Saturday, I just can't pull myself together until Mon. Well, I guess that sounds like a BIG FAT EXCUSE!!! I am not kidding, if I don't get my fat butt in gear by tomorrow, I want you guys to let me have it BIG TIME. Do not hold back. (Julie, do you hear me???? Jennifer, get the tazer!!!)

Julie - Another thing in common - I didn't exercise today either :( But, as I committed, it's back to the M-F exercise routine! I promise. My finger is sore! It keeps bleeding..talk about a wuss - I am terrible. And, no, I didn't get any sympathy either except from my 21 month old that kept saying, "Bad boo boo Mommy?" Julie, I am proud of you!!! Your food looks good! Go Julie, GO!!!!!

Lucy - The wine and cheesecake get me every time :)

Mel - Hope you had a super day!! Sorry - I hope my avatar is not sending you into a chocolate fit :) !!! Gotta love the chocolate bunnies, huh??

Ladyrose - My exercise bike is squeezed into my bedroom. Sometimes it gets pushed out from the side of the bed, and my husband gets to trip over it coming to bed late at night. Hmmm... we won't discuss his pleasant reaction when this happens!! Your gym sounds great!!

O.K. chickies - I'm off to bed. Let's promise each other: NO INJURIES NEXT WEEK!! LOL!!!

Take care everyone.

Greetings from CT,

I'm a several time WW lifetimer who has fallen of the wagon. I recently lost 25 pounds and after hitting a plateau for several month decided to spend my weekly meeting fee at Curves for Woman instead. But its been an excuse to eat more and it creeping back on.

Goal then will be:
1) Journal everything for a week and see what I'n really eating now
2) 8 waters (slosh slosh!)
3) 3 exercise sessions (I've only been getting in 2 and 3's a min. for any effect I know!)

I'm do for a weigh in and measure this Wed. but HW=170, CW=151, and GW=141

Goodnight

Hope everyone is finding it easy to stick to their goals! I'm going pretty well. Have not been able to get back out into the garden as it has been raining, but this will only make the ground even softer to dig :D .

Hikein2005 - I am from the southern hemisphere, so we have just started the second month of autumn, I am using the cooler weather to get the garden cleared and prepared. I am hoping to have one winter crop planted in time, but come spring, watch out! I'll have lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers :T. I am also planting a herb garden.

Mel - I wish I looked like my avatar  . I am a Marilyn fan, what can I say!

Jennifer - With regards to rude comments from people, I am now working on the theory that they are having a bad day, need to take it out on someone, and I am just in the line of fire! I am still on a bit of a high that I didn't turn to food! Hope your ankle is not holding you back!

Moondaughter - Welcome :) . I have joined WW many times, I now put my weekly meeting fee in my bank account, to be spent on clothes when I reach my goal weight. Good luck with Curves.

Have a great day everyone,

Lucia :flow1:

I think checking in and hooking up to the site, helps keep us all a bit sane in the crazy world of dieting. It is a good thing I do most of mine in the morning because last night I was in a slump. I thought last Sunday the slump was because I didn't walk. I walked yesterday, and still got a minor slump. No falling though, so I'm still proud of that. I must be programed for a Sunday slump. So I drag myself off to the bedroom and hide and watch tear jerker movies and stay away from the kitchen! I'm hoping to see a 2lb drop from last Wednesday's weigh in.

I posted my first reply without reading, you chickies been busy, and some of you in more ways than one! Cutting fingers, messing up ankles, ouchy, ouchy! I know how a sore finger can get in the way of living.

Now on ankles, big time bummer, sprained mine back in 1999, fell right on the job, so embrassing and hurt! I thought that darn thing would never heal or stop hurting. Take good care of yourself chickies, ya'll are important to all of us and we need you and you need us, so convient, huh!

I am eating good and still eating around 1200 calories, yesterday I pushed it right up to 1300. Those darn Mixed Berry Slim-fast bars are too good. I use them for lunch sometimes, but frankly I can make a cheaper calorie lunch but those bars are good, the first time I've ever thought of a slim-fast product as tasting good, but they pack 220 calories!

You guys taking that money and putting it in the bank for your future clothes instead of the WW meetings, good going and smart thinking. I am saving my money for one major shopping spree. From undies to whatever, I intend to go through my closet and if it doesn't fit, it is sooooo gone, the only thing that will be in my closet is clothes that fit. I am going to be that person so no other size clothes will be in there! DH is very supportative of that and he also wanted me to set goals so he could give me mini-rewards.

1. 10 LBS lost from last Wed's Weight (178 to 168) full facial at a good salon.

2. 8 Lbs lost (168 to 160) Pedicure

3. 6 Lbs lost (160 to 154) Facial or massage

4. 4 Lbs lost (154 to 150) he said he wanted to buy me some earrings (I still think this one is strange?)

5. 4 Lbs lost (150 to 146) Cute, Sexy shoes

6. 6 Lbs lost (146 to 140-Goal, he knows the pounds lost, but not the weight, I'm not that dumb) he takes me shopping at Victoria's secret.

I am looking forward to meeting that first goal, I need that facial desperatly now, the earring one still gets me, where did he come up with that one, I've told him it was too big and look for something smaller.

Hey chickie...don't look a gift horse in the mouth! He must have something in mind... ;) Ten pounds already! Way to go! I'd be looking forward to the massages! LOL!

And thanks for the kind words on the finger. It's still tender, but as hubby said, it is healing...slowly!

has really screwed me up! I was up late last night (why????) and thus slept in today until 7:30! DD is still sleeping! She couldn't get to sleep last nigh even though she was super tired. These time changes don't ever seem to affect hubby! What's up with that! We travelled to China almost 4 years ago to get our daughter and he was NEVER tired...just went with the time...whereever we were! I guess some people just don't need sleep (him) like others do (me!)

I'm off to wake up and have a cup of cofee... :coffee: THEN, I will work out! I think Leslie is calling this morning, so WATP it is! I find it hard to hop on the bike when I've had a day off...something strange--LOL!

Chat with you all later!

Well, howdy gals.
I haven't posted since Friday, which was a bad day for me. I don't even want to go into long detail about my weekend. My full post about it is at the stay at home mom's forum. Briefly, though, Saturday started with my daughter getting sick. After sleeping 1/2 the day away, she was fine, go figure. Then it really started, I was bombarded with my step father-in-law's step kids, 4 of them on top of my three. Did I mention I live in a 2 bedroom house. Let's see, there was a 10yo, 8yo, 6yo, 5yo, almost 3yo, 16 months, and 14 months. They got to stay all night, then up til 7 pm yesterday. These kids are spoiled, they have no rules of their own, so dealing with them is enough. Anyway, that was a brief statement. Needless to say, after ordering pizza for all those kids, yesterday, I ate 3 slices, but EVERYTHING else all day was good. Actually all weekend was good except for that.
So today is Monday, back to my regular routine, in which I'm in love with now.

Jennifer - sorry to hear about your ankle, hope all is well.

hikein2005 - my mantage will be..."My 10 year high school reunion is in 12 months..." that should be enough to do it for me.

Have a good one ladies.

Morning Ladies! (grumble) I really don't like this time change- at least the first few days of this kick my butt. Last night I was up until 2am- I just couldn't get tired- I was so out of whack. Tried the WATP yesterday, but the ankle was too sore. I didn't do any exercise this morning- I'll do the UB workout tonight after grocery shopping- walking the store should help the ankle a little bit- and then start trying to work it more. Leave it to me to get hurt shopping..

Ladyrose: I don't have high-tops, but I am wearing some pretty supportive shoes- very square, solid, chunky 1" heel ( I don't need anything more than that at 5'10") that gives a lot of support. I just have to baby it a little while. How's the elliptical? I've got my bike in the bedroom (like Lisa) and an old treadmill that I need to give away- it doesn't have an adjustable incline, so it kills me. I think if we all got together, we could probably open a pretty decent gym! :D

Lucy: Cheesecake? Girl, you're killing me! LOL. Hope you enjoyed your day off!

Julie: Food looked great there girl. Good to see the finger is healing. And, :o , you're going to give me an ego the size of my tush! :^:

Lisa: I know all too well that Monday mindset- I've blown many a weekend in the last (too many) years. How's your boo boo? (Aren't kids just too precious when they're little? Awww)

Moondaughter: Welcome! It's good to have you aboard! :) This is an incredible group of women- you can't ask for a more supporting group.

Lucia: those nasty people & the bad day- I think the woman I work with is having a bad life...she's just not pleasant! ;)

Maggie: Chickie, don't ever turn down jewelry!! :p You might think it's too extravagant, but it will be your 150 pounds reward- a big deal...and, your ears aren't going to drop sizes like clothes, a ring, sometimes even bracelets don't fit correctly- this is a guaranteed winner, at least until you get to goal. Let hubby spoil you a little...you're working hard for this.

Food planned for today:

Breakfast
1 apple & cinnamon cottage double
1/3 cup smart start
1oz fat free cheddar
12oz diet coke

Lunch:
3/4 cup chili
3/4 cup elbow macaroni
sprinkle of cheddar cheese

Working on my first 24oz of water...

Dinner tonight, TBD- once we get grocery shopping done- that gives me time to think & plan.

Have a wonderful day ladies...hope you're not all dragging like I am! :^:

Sounds like everyone is doing okay so far! I had another good food day. I tend not to eat enough, so I am trying to be sure to eat every 3 hours and not to eat my last snack very late, my blood sugar in the morning is still too high. But the others are great compared to where they were last week!!

The best I did with intentional exercise is taking 4 kids, 3 of which are under 5, to Super Walmart to buy groceries. Surely that cart with a baby and all that junk the kids picked out must have weighed 200 pounds :o I won't be doing that very often!! Oh yes, and I must add the numerous times I had to walk my dd3 back to put the Easter Baskets back in the proper place. I was SOOOOO glad to be home, let me tell ya!!!

Today, I will do my WATP, and some fairly strenuous housework...steam cleaning carpets, laundry room is in the basement(stair climbing, woo hoo) and maybe even stroll with the kids this afternoon. I hope to do better on the water, too!! It's SOOOO not a habit for me , I tend to forget it!! :(

I will be back to check everyone's progress and cheer you on in a bit. Have a great, goal meeting day!!!!!!

Good mornig and Happy Monday to all!! :D
Food was very good yesterday and I will exercise today. The REAR admiral is feeling better today! YAY!!!

Jen~ Hope the ankle gets better soon. Don't push it. It will only take longet then to heal. It hurts to let you know STOP!! OK Mom shut-up. I know!

Julie~ Gotta watch the protein. Too low and fatigue sets in. Hope you got to exercising. Me 0 yesterday but today I will pedal my tush off. No snow, just cold!!!!
Hope the finger is better. Will take time too!

Lisa~Your avatar reminds me of where I am headed. I'm cutting a picture of someone this week when I find the right one. I've been meaning to do just that. But I want a shapely one not a stick model. Something more real like your Miss M!

Magnolia~ I loved the post!!! What more can I say. Liked the rewards and the goals. Maybe your Hubby wants you to wear the earrings and nothing else! OOPS can I say that?!

Happy Monday, back to work and what a short weekend. went by so fast.
got a good workout yesterday, we went to the rifle range yesterday to target shoot. Had my target at the 200 yard mark, so every time we had a seize fire
I went out to check it and they don't give you a lot of time so I practacally had to run out there over hills and mounds in dirt and rock.
Every time I got back I was out of breath and heart all pounding. It was loads of fun. didn't really go off the diet too much. Ate lots of arttichokes "they were on sale" and the only time I was kinda bad was at the Mexican Restraint I had a free taco and a huge Hefeneweizer micro brew but it was fun.
so anyway, back to work and hard hitting the diet.
so I made me a bunch of soup to bring into work for my breakfast.
this one is called, the famous Partytime diet chili with zucchini and lots of stewed tomatos. Its spicy and filling yet low cal..
Oh, and I also got myself a huge bottle of Flex Sead oil gel tabs and I eat one or two of them a day. They are good for you.

Good morning! I'm hoping you gals have room for another newbie in your group. In 2001 I belonged to a support group on this site, and since then have added an average of 5 lbs/year. Enough is enough. I am going to lose it all!

My name is Jen, but I see there already is a Jen, so I guess you can call me Joy (middle name). I'm 30 y/o, 5'9", not exactly sure of my weight today, bounces around between 150-155. My goal is 140. Although that is not alot of weight to lose, I am having a terrible time getting motivated and sticking to it. If I don't lose weight soon, none of my clothes will fit. Most fit best when I'm 140-145. I can't afford to buy a whole new wardrobe, let alone do I want to because of 10 stinking lbs!

My goals for this week:
1. Journal what I eat. I tend to binge in the evening after work.
2. Walk, walk, walk. Weather permitting, 7 days outside.
3. Stair stepper inside if it's raining in the evening.
4. Lift weights 3 days this week.

OK, now that it's in writing, I HAVE to do it! :D

The best thing in a long time...

Oh, yes. That's right. My size 11 pants, which I LIVED in back in 2000... now fit me. So that is my massive happiness for the week. My new goal is to be able to wear these in public at the end of April. That's about 1 size drop, and it's totally doable. SCORE! Old clothes that I love!! SWEET!!!

Granted, they may look horrible because they're way too tight, and my butt is way too big for them... THEY FIT!!!!! No prying the zipper up, my legs have a little room to breathe, and I AM SO FREAKING HAPPY I COULD SPIT!!! :D :D :D !!!!

Other than that... this weekend's food sucked, but that's okay because most of my calories from yesterday didn't stick around long enough to be absorbed. Yeah... gotta love IBS. *gag*

I woke up at the unhumanly hour of 7:30 today, which is a good 3 hrs before my normal waking time... ARGH. And why did I do this? Becuase I drank those two darn bottles of water before I went to sleep last night! AGH!! I swear, my body just can't settle back down after being awake for the tiniest amount of time. Drives me mad.

So, I've done half of my workout so far, and oh, man. My arms are jello. :D I switched from 1-lb freeweights up to a pair of 3-lb. weights on Friday. Sure, they had the weekend to rest. Now, my arms could fall off & I'd be cool with that. :D :P I hope I can pick up the cream of wheat packet and tear it open. ;)

Already done with one bottle of water, and I've got 3 to go!!

Food today:

B - Cream of wheat & 1 sliced tomato & 1 bottle of water (plus vitamins)
L - Chicken noodle soup w/ a slice of toast (with raspberry jam on it)
D - Chicken pesto (homemade this time!) w/ salad

After-dinner snack: 1 bag popcorn (fresh made today!)

Workout today:

6 min stepper (on higher resistance and with 3 lb weights -- i was worn out at 2 minutes!)
500 situps (if I can handle 'em. I did 300 Saturday and 200 yesterday. OWWWW)
20 min on the bike
Light cleaning around the house - vacuum, dishes, laundry, etc. Mop floors, too. Icky!

Other than that... what an easy day :) I've only got 4 tapes, and I have a great day planned out for myself. I know, the chicken noodle soup for lunch isn't the best, but my stomach is really unsettled. Thus the uber-bland food today. I need to let my poor tummy rest itself for awhile before bombarding it with tons of veggies again.

-- Okay, now for the Easter Challenge part. My hands are sore so I just pasted from my normal journal. :D Bad Jess, I know. :D

Okay, so... I forgot to note above, we went on a long walk yesterday with the dog, and it was awesome. She saw some of the young salmon flipping around in the pond part of the creek, and she freaked out. They were sunning themselves (not a lot of people know that about 'em -- they like to jump at the top and get warm in the sun. Weird little fishies!), and Josie (the dog) just had to go swimming. It was SO CUTE!!! I wish I'd had a camera. She swam around for a few minutes, then ended up pulling my husband IN the pond with her, and it was just hilarious. His right leg was soaked up to his knee, and we just laughed all the way back to the apartment. :D I love that dog.

Today... yeah. My stomach is super upset and I was up part of last night in the bathroom (woohoo, fun times.... YEAH, RIGHT.), and ended up staying up until 2, and then still couldn't fall asleep. When I get sick, I get really dehydrated and then fatigued. So, last night, I drank 2 bottles of water before I went to bed, which helped a lot. I'm still icky feeling, but that's okay. I'm keeping the food healthy today, keeping the workout up, and taking it a little easier on myself. My diet is more carb-heavy today than normal, but if I went for veggies & meats today, I'd be sick as a dog.

Ok, sorry the post is so long. I'm just excited and happy and hyper!! YAY!! MONDAY!!! (What the hell is wrong with me?!)

Hope you guys are all having an awesome start to the week!! Keep it positive, chickies, and when you feel the need for cheesecake, chew gum instead. Man, that gum saves my life!! :D

**Jennifer**
04-05-2004, 01:36 PM
Dolphin/Joy: Welcome! There is always room for a new chickie here- especially as the weight comes off, we can pack more in here, right? ;) Make yourself at home- I can't say it enough- our chickies here are wonderful!

:grouphug: Chickies! :encore:

Lucy- Kick butt girl, with those pants. I'd have worn them all day, stopping to look about 100 times. As it is, I'm making my hubby nuts with "Babe- feel this..." everwhere there's a new hollow, or you can feel bone...I'm such a dork with that, though. If your arms hurt too much to open that packet, you can always chew through the envelope for some added fiber :lol3:

lameducklucy
04-05-2004, 05:07 PM
Jennifer - Hehe! Well.. they don't really stay over my butt if I sit down. :D Soo... I'll give it another week or two before I cram my butt into 'em again. ;) Haha!! The packet opened for me... just barely. Unzipping the brown sugar was harder

Soo... I wanted a bagel this morning, AFTER I'd eaten my cream of wheat. So I toasted one and put some fake butter goo on it, and I took a couple bits, and spit it out when I saw some weird, undentified black object inside the middle of it. I don't think it was a bug, but I'm okay not knowing. My dog ate it instead. So... 1 bite of bagel extra today. *G* Could have been the whole bagel!! Yay for the weird black thingey!! :D

I didn't get to do much on my bike... maybe 11 minutes. The pedal that is falling off is not... um... functioning well. I tried, though, I did. :( I can't WAIT until I get paid on the 15th to get my new exercise machine!! I don't know if I can actually handle a month without any freaking equipment.

Also... after much debate and much reasoning (see actual journal entry for the details & long story), I am going on my OWN lo-carb diet. Not NO carb, because I'd pass out like I did before. So screw that, to be blunt.

I'm allowing myself 1 of 3 choices in the morning, at lunch, and for dinner (After the first 2 weeks), I can have 1/2 cup of pasta (cooked), or half of a potato serving. And that's IT. As I keep losing, I'll up what I'm allowed to have in the carbs at dinner, but not before it. And I'm allowing popcorn in my diet, because I have no nexium and lots of heartburn, and it kills the heartburn. So the popcorn stays!! *Stomps feet*

In other news... Seattle weather, make up your stupid mind!! Either BE 80 and sunny, or BE 55 and rainy!! JUST PICK ONE!!! For pete's sake, I can't keep going 80 and sunny, to rainy and 55, then back to 80 the next day!! It's silly, and I won't stand for it any longer. (I guess that means move, huh? haha!)

Anyway, I hope you guys are having an awesome day!!
