Good afternoon friends. I did get to sleep from 3am -10am. :)
I only need 6 hours as a norm.... so I got an extra hour of sleep.

Terri... I am glad everything is working out better for you and dh.
I try to live by the theory to never discuss religion or politics. Those seem to always lead to angry discussions. LOL And when you think I am such a people pleaser.. I don't like to anger anyone. LOL
I have a oneliner that helps me let others have opinions I don't agree with...

Everyone has the right to be wrong.

That one line has saved me from frustrations more times than I can count.

Barb... boy ... you are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I do think that Thin made a good point. And since they basicly told you it was up to you to decided.... they must be at peace with her staying.
Maybe you can just cut a few hours or something. When doing that ... tell her it will probably only be temporary since you will be having a lot of time off in the future.

Kat... I loved your "I am giving up gluttony for Lent"
I really liked that one. :D
I am glad your daughter did such a great job in her play. I would love to see that show too.

Thin... I have a simple mind... I am easy to please.
Maybe it is the fact that not many long posts have been written recently... I don't know. I am now curious myself... LOL I guess I will have to go back and reread it myself. LOL But no matter what reason I enjoyed it... I did.

Okay ladies .. it is Thankful Thursday.
SANDY... you ALWAYS post on Thankful Thursdays. Get busy girl.
Ladies .... no matter how your food is ... it is time to be thankful..
:coach: Lets hear it from everyone. :comp:

Sorry, 2cute, but you WERE last! I started my #495 before you started yours, but I'll go back and erase mine. :(

Here's the post I wrote on MY #495, I transferred it over here.

Hi everybody! Nothin' much shakin' here this morning. ('cept for my fat! :o and heck, that's not even really shakin' because I'm sitting here at the computer) I know, TMI!

I should be doing so many other things, but alas, here I am. I do need to go out in a bit and return my leather ottoman. I don't think I told you. Honey and I went and got new family room furniture for Christmas. Well, we got a sofa, love seat and an ottoman. But the way our family room is spread out, if I use the ottoman no one on the sofa can use it. If someone on the sofa uses it, I'm outta luck. So New Years I convinced honey that we needed a second ottoman. We went back to the store and their "New Year's Sale" actually was more expensive ($75 more expensive) for the ottoman that what we had paid for it 6 weeks earlier. Argh!!!!

I know, this story is getting longer by the minute, but now that I'm started.....anyhow, we went ahead and bought the second ottoman because I was afraid that 1. the price would go up if we waited any longer, 2. we would kick ourselves if we just didn't buy a second one, and 3. if we waited the colors of the leather wouldn't match. So we ordered another one and had to wait until now to have it come in. So we went last week and picked it up, brought it home and the wood trim on the bottom was just a mess. Not one little scratch, but really chewed up. There was fabric hanging out the side. I was soooo pi$$ed! $550 for an ottoman and it's a mess! So I called right away and told them this was not acceptable. I was not going to have some service guy come out and "fix" it, for that kind of money, I wanted a good one. So the new one is in and I have to go back and exchange the dang thing today.

Whew....aren't you glad I'm done with THAT story????

Barb: I'm so glad that last night worked out better for you. * Your hubby is in my prayers that his appointment goes well today. * That's a really tough one about your co-worker. A thought I have is that you might do well to try and protect her job because with all of your appointments coming up, you may need someone there that can pick up for you when you're out of the office. Just a thought.

2cute: OMG, you have more ambition SICK than I have WELL!!!! I can't believe that you won't be laid out flat all day today after all that stuff you worked on last night. Please rest some and take it easy. * I'm so glad you won the bid on that dress. I bet you are really excited. That is certainly one more thing you can cross off your to do list. * I went back and read that post you complimented and I sure have no idea what you found so entertaining. You must have just been desparate for something (anything) to read! :D

Terri: Goodness, sweetie, you DID have an awful night! As opinionated as I am, I try not to talk politics (in most circles) except of course "local" school politics. Then you can't get me off my soapbox. :soap: I consider myself an "independent" so I can vitually pi$$ of anyone on any given day! :D Better to just not open my mouth. :tape: But, if you think your hubby needs a good run for his money let me know and I'll give it my best shot in April when we all meet up.

Katrina: Sounds like you had a great time last night! It must be really cool to see your daughter on stage. I do like that it was a charity event as well. How nice. * Have a great time tonight. You've really got a busy, entertaining week going. Glad to hear you're doing well on plan as well.

Well girls, time to really get something done around here. You all have a great day. Love  ya bunches!

Just found an article on eDiets about the tax deductibility of weight loss programs. Given that it's tax time, I thought I would post it over on the Article Thread. Go take a look. :D

Hey Chickies - What's Happening???
I am in my jammies, getting ready for my favorite TV evening!!! :)

DH is STILL at work, as usual - I hope he makes it home in time for Survivor! He went to the oral surgeon today ---- DH is now breathing a big sigh of relief. :D The Dr. doesn't think the tissue looks too bad. He is still doing the biopsy, but doesn't think it's anything to worry about. DH also has to have 3 teeth removed! Luckily he is managing to do it 3 days after the other procedure so he is just going to take a week of "vacation" from work.

There is going to be a guy from Dh's work on Super Millionaire tonight. We have heard he makes it to the hot seat. They taped the show yesterday. His name is Jonathan. We'll see! :crossed:

Thin & 2Cute - Thanks for the advice on the co-worker situation. That is pretty much what I was thinking. I am hoping we can reduce her hours and keep her on the payroll on an "as needed" basis. I've got to do some major thinking on this one. I kind of have 2 bosses - one of them knows that Jeff and I are trying to start a family and going through all these treatments --- I only told him because he's the one I have to let know when I am out of the office and I was starting to take a lot of time off, so I wanted to be honest. I did ask him to keep it confidential. I did not tell my more senior boss - which of course is the one asking me to make the decision on my co-worker. :chin: :?:

Audrey - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
(a day late) I hope it was a wonderful one!

Yay! DH just called and he'll be home shortly!
Have a great night!

Love to All!
:)Barb

Hey everyone :)

I am so tired! Got called in last night to work at job #2 and then worked job #1, and I was about to drop. I got home ready to take a good nap and was reminded that eldest daughter had an awards ceremony for Youth Community Council (Thin, you would soooo love this program :) ) As my mama would say, "No rest for the wicked, and the righteous don't need it."

The dinner/awards program was really cute and I ended up meeting a caterer who is looking for someone to do hors d'oeuvres and desserts. Not a bad evening's work there. :)

I'm struggling with eating right now as well, but it is more from an aspect of not knowing when to fit in a meal. When the normal time for that meal does come, I just don't want to eat because I'm too tired or whatever. I don't think I've done much in the way of damage, but I do want to get it all back under control.

I thought I had told everyone what this job was, but I guess not? It is the old one I applied for and the guy blew me off for a second interview. I'm doing night watch at a youth treatment facility. It is quickly turning into a job I am really enjoying. :)

I would love to write more, but I fell asleep twice writing that last paragraph. Guess the body is saying now is the time. I'm headed to bed! Wahoo!!!

Wow... if it gets much slower in here ....
we will be reading backwards. :yikes:
I don't know if that is funny or not. :?:

I have not accomplished much today. :(
I have my sister coming tomorrow for the weekend so I have to get busy cleaning.
I have been sleeping in the guest room because I cough so much at night... so I had to wash bedsheets and disinfect everything. I can finally sleep in my own bed again. :)

Barb ... I am so glad your husband's dentist appointment went so well. :D
My husband smoked for years... but only chews now. I HATE IT !!!!
I fear for him and so your story hit home for me. I knew the fear you both had.

Thin... so sorry for the cross posting. LOL I read your original post in the old thread and then it was gone and replaced with "Stop do not post here"
Great minds think alike. :high:

Audrey... BELATED HAPPY ANNIVERSARY !!!!
It is so nice to have you pop in .... wish you would post more.

Andria... There is no rest for you ??? or do you not need it ???
I vote you don't need it. ;) I hope you get a good nights sleep.

Okay ladies... I going to go make up the guest bedroom. I have paperwork laying all around it.

Hi ladies!

Yeah, its Friday! DH had a trip last night so he didn't get home until 10:30 and not to bed until 11:30 so I'm a little tired today. The dog and I had a nice evening. We played in the back yard which was mostly me sitting on the deck steps trying to get him to bring his ball and him mauling his ball and rolling around on the ground. As long as he's happy. Yesterday was his 3rd birthday. Mama forgot to buy him a doggie birthday cake! :p

I spent the evening working on putting together drawers to the nightstand we are assembling. DH has to buy a mini sander so we could sand the edges so they would fit into the grooves. What a pain in the butt! But I've got two one and one to go. But I ran out of sandpaper. Argh.

DH and I are fine. He called me at work yesterday morning and was still being a bit of a butt. I was in work mode of not taking any crap so I basically told him if he would shut up and actually hear what I was saying, he'd realize I do believe in the same things but not in the same way. His response - well, you've never said that before, I didn't know you felt the same. If I only had a board to reach through the phone. Just goes to show that the guy who wrote about Mars/Venus is not wrong. Our brains are just wired differently.

I could have sworn that when I checked in yesterday that Thin had started a thread and posted first. Then later on, the thread was by 2Cute and she was first. Am I hallucinating?

I taped Survivor and CSI last night so I haven't seen who got voted off yet. We'll watch it together tonight. I watched Friends and The Apprentice instead. There is only two (Troy and Amy) who might be qualified to be CEO. The others act like a bunch of babies - making excuses and blaming others. I guess if they acted like grownup business people, the show would be boring.

Andria - I think you had told us - but I couldn't remember. Sorry! That does sound interesting. Sounds like you're working around the clock! Be sure to get rest so you don't get sick.

Thin - I too enjoy your posts - even if you think they are nothing special. Please, don't get DH all wound up!

Barb - So glad that the other doc didn't think there was anything to worry about with the tissue. That has to be a huge relief for your DH. Also, glad to see that you two are settled down and communicating again. That is a tough situation at work. It is hard to separate the personal feelings from doing the appropriate thing for the company. Perhaps the correct thing is to keep her own to back you up so that your job is covered and that helps her too. Good thinking!

2Cute - It has gotten quiet. Sometimes that is not a good sign - which means that people are struggling and don't want to post about it. But that is when we need to be here most. Hopefully people are just busy. I'd post more if I could post from work. Looks like you're feeling much better. Guess that shot in the butt was just what you needed.

Okay, I better get my butt up and moving around. Have a great Friday!

Good Morning Gals!
TGIF!!!!! Just had some breakfast and now I am getting ready for my work day - sitting here in my pajamas! :D I am going to the gym during lunch so no point in getting dressed or showered yet.

I need to have a productive work day. I have not accomplished as much the past couple days as I need to. I am ready for the weekend! Not much planned yet - need to run some errands, buy a few things for around the house, catch up on TV shows we recorded, exercise, plan food for next week. :blah:

Terri - I'm glad I didn't pop in here last night to talk about Survivor. After you watch it let me know what you think. I had a good laugh over it! Good to hear things are better on your end with DH as well. It was just a tough week in general! If you go live w/ Kat I am joining you both! I could go for all the fun that she is having! :dizzy:

Andria - Wow, there is never a quiet moment for you. I hope you try to squeeze in a little time to relax - we don't want to see you wearing yourself completely out! :faint:

2Cute - I know what you mean about it being sloooooowwww in here. :snail:
I am fortunate enough to be able to pop in several time a day, just due to my work and I am always looking forward to a mental break from work to see what everyone is up to. Lately I've felt like I am talking to myself --- along with a couple special friends! :gossip: I'm sure it's nice to be getting back into your own bed! My spare room is in desperate need of cleaning. I still have all kinds of Christmas gifts and wrap and gifts I've already bought for next year all over the bed. :^:

Okey Dokey - Gonna dig into work!
Later Gals!

Hi girls, I've beem trying to read but just don't have the time to post, things are crazy at work right now. Our company was bought out by another company and things are going to move fast not sure what position I will be moving into, considering they do things very differently. We all had to have interviews and I'm sure some people will lose there jobs, Foreman's and Superintandants (sp) but I'm pretty sure I'll have a job, either as data entry or adminstration. I really don't want data entry, it's shift work 7on 7off, 12 hrs days, Would love my days off but don't want to sit in front of a computer all day doing the same thing. I have been doing administrative work since July enjoy it, keep your fingers crossed.
The weight loss had seemed to come to a stand still. The first week on SBD I lost 8.25lbs, then nothing the next 2 weeks, and then I started just eating healthy and adding back in some grains and carbs, but not at supper time, and the scale seems to be moving again. So I'm looking forward to this next week weigh in, I didn't get to TOPS this week, I was sick and couldn't leave the washroom, ( maybe that's why the scale started to move).
I'm not sure how much I'll be around in the near future, considering I don't have a computer at home and I don't know where I'll be working from, and they might not have access to the internet. I'm can't wait till they come back and let us know what's going on, hate waiting around, continuing what I'm doing when it really doesn't matter, because they don't use the same programs as us.
I'll try to sneak in as much as possible.
Tata for now.

Sorry to hear you were sick.

Barb... I HIGHLY recommend you take a day this weekend and organize your guest room. It really does FEEL GOOD to have it clean. :D I am always for "feeling good"

You do have so much fun !!! :hat:

Hey everyone :)

I'm conscious! No, really. I slept the entire night and slept in a teensy bit this morning, and I feel vaguely human again. Little bit groggy around the edges, but that can be fixed easily enough with a workout.

More details on the job since I can stay awake long enough to finish a paragraph without a short nap... The place I'm working for has been calling me in a lot more than I thought, thus the lack of sleep and time for posting here. I arrive at work after the girls are in bed (all girl facility), catch up on the events of the day and take over for whatever area they want me to start in that night. We rotate every hour between three areas, which really helps to keep you awake. The best time is morning, when we wake everyone up and get their day going. I'm not a sadist, I just really enjoy the interaction. I got to finish cooking breakfast for them the other day, and we were really enjoying ourselves.

I guess I see a lot of my roots in where these girls are now. I didn't get into drinking, drugs and sex like some of them have, but the root of it all is based in pain and low self-esteem. Watching them heal is a bit of a balm for my own soul, if that makes any sense. I guess I'm hoping to unlock more of my own issues and come face to face with my low self-esteem at the same time. We'll see what happens. I like their approach. It is based in doing the right things right now, instead of waiting for all the healing to happen and then getting around to the right things. They do it all at once, and the circular effect makes sense to me. It is like reversing the spiral taking them (me) down a drain and giving the potential to spin off into an ever-expanding universe.

I got enough sleep, and I'm beginning to wax poetic. Be grateful I stopped where I did, because it was getting much more sappy. ;) I'm going to finish getting dressed and making my lunch so I can get out the door and off to Curves and then work!

BTW, Thin, you inspired me. If you can get out the door to Curves as busy as you are, I knew I could do it yesterday. Did my workout on the way home from the jobs. I felt so much better afterwards. :)

Reporting in from Funville, USA!

Hey, come on down, gals!! Anytime! A slumber party would be a blast!!! Just as long as you don't plan on slumbering!

Last night was...hmmm...interesting. Welllll, amusing might be a better word. Surreal would work too! The show was great...my boy Rod can still belt out a tune very nicely. And for a 60+ year old man, he still looks damn cute in his faded jeans! As well as his tuxedo! Having been a fan forever, (over 30 years, actually, since Maggie May came out in 1971) I knew all the songs and happily sang and clapped along with him. Me and about 5 other people. It was the most subdued audience I've ever seen. Very weird! Granted, the average age of the audience was, well let me put it this way: If they're not members of AARP yet, they will be very shortly! Which is fine...but do you come to a concert and just sit and stare benignly at the performer? I wanted to shout, "HEY! The man is workin' it up there! I know it's past your bedtimes, but how about a little feed back for him?" I didn't of course. I'm much too polite.

On the way there, we called my brother, who works in Manhattan, to see if he could meet us for a few drinks or for dinner. He met us at a fine Irish pub right down the road from the Garden. Dinner and drinks went on his expense account, and a fine time was had by all! Lots of laughs... More chuckles came when sis and I got to the Garden. I think the highlight of the evening was just watching the crowd. Ladies in fur coats, men in their houndstooth sports jackets...I was trying to picture how they must have looked, thirty years ago with their long hair and bell bottoms. I just kept saying to my sister, "Are WE that old, too?"

We managed to miss the 11:30 train and had to wait til 12:30 for the next train. Which gave us a whole 'nother hour of people watching! I love to do that. My kids tell me I stare, but I don't really. I'm very subtle, actually...they just know what I'm up to!

So, today is back to house work...laundry, vacuuming and that kind of fun stuff!

Oh, will the madcap merriment and hijinx never end?!

Yay! I am so happy that more of you are coming out and posting with us! :)

It's been a nice day here - I went to the gym and worked out during lunch time!
:strong:

DH has mentioned going to Sullivans for dinner - it's a very nice (too expensive) steak house, but we enjoy it for an occassional special night out. I think we deserve to treat ourselves a bit after everything going on! We just have to see what time he gets out of work and see if we can still get a reservation.

I hate scales! I have no idea what I weigh right now. My home scale use to be the same as my gym scale - now they are 7 pounds apart - home showed 285 first thing this morning (no clothes) the gym showed 278 at lunchtime (with clothes). DH is also weighing differently at home and Dr. office. I may change the batteries in the home scale and see if that changes anything. I feel pretty confident that I am not gaining - at least not fluctuating more than a pound or so. :^:

Syn -- Wonderful to see you popping in!!! Any new developments with your old friend??? Inquiring minds want to know. ;) We are also having a nice - nearly spring day! It's so nice. I can't wait for warm, sunny days!

Duckie -- Sounds like you have your hands full with work! Hopefully you'll be able to maintain your Internet access! Keep us posted and pop in when you have time! Don't let the slow loss frustrate you - I know the first week seemed easy - I went through the same thing. Just remember you are making yourself healthier even if the scale doesn't show dramatic results. Little by little you will start seeing a difference!

Andria --- Thanks for filling us in on your new job. Sounds like it can be very rewarding and possibly challenging! Good job getting out there to Curves!!!
:cheer:

Kat --- I can just picture your evening - sounds crazy and wonderful!! :D DH and I are also people watchers. We always take turns guessing people's career and whatnot! Looking forward to a slumberless slumber party one of these days!

Thin --- Those darn post eating goblins!!! :sorry: So, Michigan is on the agenda next year? Maybe we can bring things east after that! :)

2cute --- Don't you dare stress for a minute! I know you are going to be fun! You know I wish I could be there. I'll be there in spirit!!! :flow1:

Time to go hit the shower so I can be a good-looking, good-smelling dinner date tonight!

Have a great evening!

Howdy! Very slow here. Geez, no one's been here since 5:00??? What's with that?

I DID do Curves today. I told the girl that my evil self  was trying to talk my good self  out of going, but my good self  WON!!!! Yaaayyyyy! :dancer:

I'm a "showgirl" tomorrow. I could have done it today, but honey wants to see Passion of the Christ. I'm NOT looking forward to it, but told him that I would go and sit with him since he's certainly sat through enough movies that I wanted to see. I know the story, I just don't think I need the "visual". I also have to do Twisted. Now that's the one I really want to see!

I've been sleeping off and on on the couch tonight. I think the 2:00 - 3:00 AM bedtimes all week have finally caught up with me. And usually when I do that, I'm wide awake (I don't do naps well), but tonight, I can hardly stay awake to talk with you. :(

Sooooo, that said, I'm going to hit the hay.

Good morning ladies!

Its Saturday!!!!!!!!

We're going to see The Passion of Christ today. I know its going to be very graphic but I'm excited to see it. My mom is coming up and DH's mom and brother are coming over so we can all go together. Then we're doing Chinese buffet for lunch/dinner.

DH and I cleaned house last night. You all were talking about cleaning the guest room so I worked on mine. Our neighbor is coming over next week to paint our kitchen. So i'll be cleaning the kitchen out tomorrow. Which is good, it will force us to get rid of stuff and furniture that just doesn't look good.

I also need to shampoo carpets. More likely, teach DH how to shampoo.

Okay, I've watched Survivor. Richard was quite surprised wasn't he? Although, I thought he deserved it because he kept taking his shorts off. Like anyone wanted to see it. He was just laying back feeling superior.

I need to hit the shower and get ready for the day. Have a great one!

:bravo: Thin!

Hi ladies!

Where is everyone - besides Kat and Thin anyway?

We're back from the movie and late lunch and everyone back on their way home. The movie was beyond words, in my opinion. It was brutal. I cried throughout most of it. At one point, I wondered how I could be excited to see it and worried about DH's mom because she's 83 - but then I thought, He endured it, how could I not watch what was done to Him? How could I not face it?

I'm sitting with my feet up and ready for a nap. Have a great Saturday evening!

Hi Chicks!
I'm here - just sat down for the first time today. DH and I stayed up until about 2am playing EQ (EverQuest - the online game we play). Slept until about 10am then cleaned the kitchen, went to the gym, came home showered and changed then ran a million errands --- bank, drugstore, lunch, Kohl's, Pier One, Ulta, Best Buy, Target, Drug store - again and then - FINALLY - back home. Just finished setting up a new DVD/VCR and running new coax. cable - the old was acting up.

Whew - Now I am going to be lazy the rest of the night! :)

Tomorrow should be a little more relaxed - more cleaning, putting up some shelves I bought today, I want to make the curtain for the bathroom, etc.
OK - maybe it won't be a relaxing day!

Survivor was TOO funny. I loved that smug :smug: Rich had the wool pulled over his eyes. Looks like we should expect a good old explosion from Sue next week. My guess it that they show up at the first challenge and realize that Rich is gone - Jeff goes on to ask everyone's reaction and then she goes off on Jeff. If you ask me she is the one that caused the little incident on the beams - she started to go down one beam and then purposely went head to head with Rich!

I am outta here to be lazy! Catch ya'll later!
:p Barb

Hey! Anyone remember me?

Seems like a month since I've poster, instead of just three days!. As I've said before, work has been very busy and I haven't had time to check in very often, the I haven't been home at night.

Thursday night we went to see the Passion of the Christ. It was very moving, but very graphic. As we left the theater, my mom said "I'm glad I saw it, but it's one movie I don't want to see over again!" I don't think you need to see it more than once. The one thing that was so suprising to me was the fact that it wasn't in English. Of all the hype and everything I'd seen and heard about it, that was one thing that had slipped by me.

Friday night was Bunko night and as usual we had a great time. The lady who did dessert went overboard and made the most wonderful thing I've eaten in a long time, and boy did I eat it. It was an apple dumpling and it was just perfect.

Today I thought I'd have plenty of time to post at work, but we had electricity problems, and couldn't get on the computers until almost time to leave. After we got off work DH need to go a special hardware store that is across town from us. By the time we got through there it was about 3:30 and we hadn't had lunch so we stopped at a "differnt" Mexican food place and had a great lunch, then instead of getting on the freeway to come home, he took the long way and drove through Downtown. Those of you who are not from large towns won't appreciate what a treat this was, but I really enjoyed it. Then we went by the Farmers Market and they have several large nurseries around the outside area of the market, so we stopped and looked at all the plants, and tried to decide on what all we wanted to plant at the house, but they were very expensive, so we just looked. They had one really neat basket that had several different plants in it and they wanted $ 149.95 for it. Dh said I could do one just as nice for less that 1/4 of that. We did buy some plants last weekend and planted some out in the front, but it's really still a little early to do too much.

BarbPa, Glad things are doing better for your DH. It's no fun when they are sick.

Thin, When we were at the show Thursday night they were advertising of Mystery shoppers. Great that you are back at Curves!

2Cute, I'm watching the Antique Roadshow and it's in OKC today. And I bet you are fun!
Terri, Andria, and all the others, catch you next time when I haven't run on and on about myself, and when I haven't run out of colors!

Hi everyone! Max and I are sitting here at the computer. I have a little heater at my feet now and I have it on. Max is curled up next to my chair. He came in begging for treats, which of course I have in here for him, but when I turned on the heater he just layed down and is enjoying the warmth. Poor old baby. He'll be 10 in August.

We did stay to see The Passion today. Having been raised Catholic (and I only say this because I have no idea what other religions put their kids through) I was always forced/encouraged to watch all of the movies that came out that were religious in nature. And of course, this time of year they are not hard to find. Anyway, I wasn't crazy about the idea of seeing the movie, but honey wanted to see it (and offered to see it by himself) so I told him I would sit with him. It truly was "beyond words", I just didn't need the visual. It is very graphically violent, as I'm sure the last moments of Christ's life were.

Beyond the actual movie, I was totally amazed by how thoughtless the crowd seeing it was. All of the showtimes were sold out. Management asked people to move in to fill all of the empty seats and no one moved. They made the request several times and no one moved. Then the manager actually went up into the audience and personally asked people to fill in the seats and then they would reluctantly get up and move over. Another woman, could be heard saying "this is bu!!$hit!" Another couple was seated in two seats that had a space between them so if you brought someone in in a wheelchair you could sit beside them. A lady came in pushing a wheelchair. Do you think they would move to somewhere else? Heck no. She was stuck sitting elsewhere. All I could think was, what the heck are these people here for? They can't even be civil or loving to each other for a moment to let other people sit down. What do they think they're going to get out of this movie? Just totally thoughtless.

Sorry, that was my soapbox :soap: complaint for the day. That and the fact that there were far too many little kids (7-10? year olds). I just think there was far too much violence for those little ones.

Well, now that I've discussed one of my favorite subjects to avoid (religion and politics), I'll leave that one alone. :o

2cute: I liked your oneliner for staying out of arguments: "Everyone has the right to be wrong." My WW leader has one that she likes to use on sabatours , you know the ones, those who think you're doing something wrong all the time. Anyway, her saying is: "you may be right". Of course, as she puts it, "you may be wrong, too". But she only uses the first one to stay out of trouble.

Audrey: Glad you stopped in with your Thankful List. I like reading about everything we all have to be thankful for.

BarbPA: You must have been working from home on Friday, saying you were still in your jammies. Hope you got what you needed to done. * Yup, Michigan's next, then you guys out East can fight over the next location.

Andria: Were you networking again at that awards ceremony??? :s: You sly girl, you! :) Good for you. You've got such a great talent. I'm hoping one day you can open that catering business. It seems to be your underlying dream. You've certainly got the smarts and flair for it. Your current night shift job sounds like it's rewarding. I'm glad you're enjoying that. Maybe it will be therapeudic and you will find some peace in your life too. Dual duty. I like that.* "Inspiration"? Me? You're the one that inspired me to go to Curves in the first place. Maybe we can just play relay with that inspiration until we're both giving it a good go. Whatdayasay???? Deal???

Syn: Glad to see you posting. I was thinking you forgot about us. * So how was WI (not Wisconsin)? You never came back to say.

Duckie: Good to see you too. I sure hope the new situation at work turns out well for you. Sounds like you're kind of in limbo right now. Stop back when you can. We miss you when you're gone.

Katrina: "If they're not members of AARP yet" Hey, watch that. I am now (eligible, that is  ). It's not nice to make fun of us "old" folks! You better watch out, we'll beat you with our canes!!! The concert sounds like it was a good time. Those people in the audience not "getting into it", those would be my honey. The only concerts he goes to, he does it to humor me, and then he sits like a bump. It's down right embarassing! * I'm glad you guys got to meet up with your brother too. That must have been fun (especially putting it on HIS expense account!) :D Honey and I like to 'people watch' at the theatre. We're there so much that we have even nick-named some of our favorites. Like "studman" because he has piercings everywhere. And "space cadet" because she ambles aimlessly from auditorium to auditorium with that look in her eyes. We have several that are pretty interesting to watch.

Mary: Gosh, I'm sorry you're so under the weather. Hope that your migrane is subsiding by now. That is NOT like you to call in sick. It must have been a doosey!

Barb/ageoldie: The sub-titles surprised honey and I as well. There was a warning note from the theatre on the way in about the graphic nature of the violence and that's where I first learned that it was sub-titled. * Did you see the movie at a Star Theatre. They have their own mystery shopping program. It's almost like a membership. You pay a certain amount and then they guarantee you to get so many tickets and vouchers for the concessions and stuff. It's a discount from what you would normally pay, but you still pay. The stuff I do I don't put any money out for, they pay me. :D * Forget about you!!! NO WAY!!! I can't wait to meet up with you in April. Sounds like you're getting that new facility up and running. Hope that will give you some time to play soon. * That basket for $149 must have been some basket. YIKES!!! You could certainly do something HUGE for that kind of money. Heck, I don't think my whole perrenial garden cost me much more than that.

Terri: I think you better teach DH to shampoo the carpets. Aren't you supposed to be OFF that foot???? How's it feeling? Better, I hope. Just don't overdo, you'll be sorry in the long run.

Well, girls, I think I've caught up with everyone. Hack is on and I'm going to the family room to sit with honey and watch it. The boys went to see Eurotrip (big waste of money!) Catch ya all later. Love  ya bunches.
