Hi... I wrote a long post last night so nothing new to share.
I am babysitting today. I babysit every Monday thru March.

Does anyone chat anymore? If not... should we delete that off the greeting?
Maybe one person would want to commit to being there on Sunday and someone else on Wed? I don't know... it is up to you guys... I never did chat in the first place. LOL

2Cute: I would be at chat if it weren't at 2am my time!
As for Ebay, you can search by seller. I don't have anything for sale at the current time, but my pile of "stuff I don't need anymore but is too nice to give away" is getting pretty big, so I'll be listing soon LOL. I think I already mentioned that my seller name on Ebay is also Jehari.

Well, food has been so-so today. I have survived another 4 day weekend and the kids go back to school tomorrow. I have a "student of the month" ceremony to attend for my son tomorrow. :D I don't have much else to say. I'm a bit brain dead. There was this bright thing in the sky today. I believe you all call it "the sun" . It is so rarely seen here this time of year. I was so inspired that I took the kids to Frankfurt and we went Ice Skating at the outside arena. It was GORGEOUS out!! We were at it for a couple of hours. There's my exercise for today.

Anyhoo, I'll pop in tomorrow.
Later taters!!

Yes, Texas weather is crazy. Saturday it was snowing big time and today I was tempted to put the top down on my car!

Went to the club and walked this morning, then went to water aerobics and the insutrctor told me not to get in because the temp was too cold and it would not be good for my arthritis, so I went to the Therapy pool that is supposed to be WARM water, but it was cold too. That insturctor said she was only going to do a 35 minute class instead of a 50 minute class because wh wanted to keep everyone moving the whole time and most of these women could not handle a full 50 minutes without breaks. This class is made up of mostly 60/70 year olds, and its a very laid back class. Needless to say, I was never able to get moving fast enough to ever warm up, and now I'm already feeling it in my hips! Maybe the pools will be back to normal tomorrow.

That's all I have to say, nothing but work around here. Tonight after work I'm going to get my hair color redone. It's way past time!

Hey Chickies!
Stopping in for a quickie post - my tired bod needs to rest on the couch for a bit. I just finished up the painting in my bathroom and got things put back together. No I need to go shopping for new towels and whatnot. I am happy with how it turned out.

Hubby abandoned me for most of the day again. Which is really okay, because if truth be told I don't let him paint with me. He's not great with a brush. He has been off exploring a new hobby he wants to take up --- wood working. Not really sure what he has in mind other than he wants to make a chest for the foot of the bed. We'll see if it ever happens. :^:

We are going out for a burger tonight. I've worked hard this weekend and am looking forward to it! :D

I'll catch you guys later!!! Oh - I use to chat, but I just haven't had the time lately to join in. Sorry.

I have tried to chat most Sunday nights, but I have never found anyone in the chat room.

I had another interesting phone call today. It was from the research center and seems like there are two weight loss studies going to be going on and the one I was called about first with the injectable drug, was postponed until now and in the meantime they called me for the other one. But since I've already qualified for this one, I am going to continue with it. I go Wed morning to meet with the dietitan for the first time.

Hi Everybody! Just a quickie before I go up and read a chapter of my latest book and then hit the hay!

I had a great day today! :D First thing, I went to WW for WI (not Wisconsin) and was DOWN 2 POUNDS!!! WooHoo! Now, you have to understand, this was a gift, :gift: but I'll take it anyway. You know, I probably shouldn't say that because since I don't journal, I can't really tell if I did well or not. Either way, I'll take it!

Second, I met Susie for lunch today. :D We got together to talk about a certain "trip" we're taking together. ;) I had stopped at AAA and got all the maps and tour books, so we got together to catch up and talk about renting a car, etc. We're sooooo excited!!! (sorry, Susie, speaking for you here too. :o ) One thing we did discuss though was the clothing exchange. I think Pam's actually the one that had suggested it some time ago. Anyway, it will be helpful, a little closer to "trip time" to know what size everyone wears. No sense bringing stuff that won't fit anybody.

Then thirdly, I came home and sat on my A$$ and searched E-bay. I'm doing "research" for what kind of money certain things I have might sell for. I was amazed at some of things bringing sooooo MUCH and others bringing so little. Sorta funny. But anyway, now that I have my new digital camera, I need to pay for it. :spin:

Well, girls, I'm headed up for the night before I start to freeze again. My office is in the 1/2 under ground area of my house. I live in a quad. And I think it's the cement floor (but I do have carpet) and the fact that 1/2 way up the wall is cement, that I freeze when I stay in here too long. I thought old women were supposed to be hot????

See you all later. Love  ya bunches!!!

Ok girls a little run down of my trip.
I left Wed. morning at 6:15 in a drizzly rain . I got to Natchez about 9:15 made good time despite the rain.
The first session was at 1:00 I finally got checked in the hotel it was beautiful. I was taken out to lunch by a lady I met at the last seminar last month. Wed night still raining, there was a coctail reception at the hotel.

Thurs still raining and cold. we had sessions all day. went to lunch a a neat place called Mammys cuppard(sp) it is shapped like Aunt Jemmima. Food was great. The man who drove us to the resturant lives in Natchez part time and gave us a mini tour.

Fri still raining and cold. Sessions all day. Ate breakfast and lunch at a small place across from the hotel very homey. Fri night there was a Mardi Gras parade but I didn't watch it. STILL RAINING. there was a Coctail buffet at one of the Anti-Bellum Mansions it was great too much food which I ate and drank a little too much (just 2 wines but too much)

Sat. Still Raining and cold Sessions tll lunch. We had lunch at the Carriage House(resturant on the grounds of the Mansion we went to last night) great food. Sat afternoon I walked to a local bookstore that was having a book signing, and did a little shopping. Sat night there was a final Coctail Buffet at another Mansion but some how the bus didn't come pick us u so we had to caravan in cars. It was soso. The bus did come and pick some of us up.

Sunday morning I drove home to a wonderful husband ( As they say absence does make the heart grow fonder ;) ) and son. :D

All in all I enjoyed the trip despite the Rain. I ate too much but I will start over. I have to go back to work today and it is my late night.

Good morning ladies!

Not much to yack about this morning. I've done my "general conditioning" exercises this morning. We had about 2 inches of snow last night. We still have a lot of the 12 inches we got a few weeks ago. Our house faces the north so the front is not melting well at all. This snow last night was quite a surprise - it is supposed to be almost 60 on Wednesday. :dizzy:

I got my nails done last night. A lovely shade of fuscia. I came home, changed into my moo cow pajamas and slippers then proceeded to sit on my butt the rest of the evening.

Okay, this is gross but I have to go now. The dog has just passed the most disgusting gas right at my feet. GAWD!

Thin - Congrats on your loss! :bravo:

Have a great day ladies!

Morning Everyone! :D

I got up a little early this morning and I had the choice of getting on the computer or doing housework before time to leave for the health club.

Guess Which one I Chose? :?:

Thin congrats on the loss. About the clothing sizes, I've been thinking the exact same thing. I'd hate to bring a load of stuff, just to have to lug it all back home with me.

Terri I love getting my nails done, and really enjoy chaning the colors every time. Last night I went to get my hair colored, and I guess I should be saying the same thing about my hair!! I went to the same girl that did it last time, but it turned out a completley different color this time.

MaryGlad you had a great time, sounds like you had a lot of neat places to see. Since I'm a fairly newbie, I'm not sure what you do. What Kind of "Session" did you attend? Real Estate, Belly Dancing?? Inquiring minds want to know.

Well, I think I'll get to the health club early and blow my trainers mind. I usually just get there just under the wire.

Have a great day.

Hi Ladies -
Just stopping in for a quick hello before getting back to work! It's been a nutty day - trying to juggle work and spending much of the morning on the phone with the insurance company - trying to figure out all my benefits for the expensive fertility treatments we've started going through. :dizzy:

I finished up my bathroom last night. I am happy with the colors, now I just need to make the curtain and buy some new towels, rugs, etc. Then it's on to the spare bath. I am thinking about doing something fun like frogs or ducks. Bright and playful. Not sure yet. Should probably consult hubby!

Strayed a bit on food and exercise over the weekend but I am back on track today. Won't be able to get to the gym due to a meeting tonight but I'll get in a little time on the bike or treadmill.
:tread:

I hope you are all having a wonderful day! :sunny:
It's been fairly quiet around here and we are missing many - I hope that means you are all doing well and accomplishing much and not hiding! :o

Bye

Day 14 on the SBD, and I haven't cheated at all, well I did go out and buy Fat Free, sugar Free Fudgesicles on Friday, needed something sweet, and these things are awsome, only 40cal, and .2 fat, and 10carbs, I guess the carbs are still a little high, but well worth it. My scale hasn't move much this week. Tonight is TOPS so I will see what I have lost. I think I've done better this week than last but the scales sure not showing it. Maybe I'm not eating enough, have vito'ed out brealfast and have cut down on my snacks through out the day, maybe I'll have to add some foods back in. I just don't know what to have for Breakfast, I hate eggs. I may still on phase 1 for 1 more week depending on how my weigh in goes tonight. We'll see, wish me luck.

Hey Duckie -
Good Job so far!!! I'm so proud of you for keeping it up! Hope you see a good loss tonight!

Do you like cottage cheese? Some days I have a little container of 1% for breakfast or snack. Another easy to grab thing that I like is a slice of RF swiss cheese with thin deli ham rolled up together. Just a couple thoughts!

Keep up the good work!

Hellooooooo out there! Anyone home??? I thought I'd get home tonight and have lots of posts to read! :?: I am so tired. After work I ran to the drug store, grocery store and then a Homeowner's association meeting for our neighborhood. For some crazy reason I volunteered to be on the Board of Directors for the next 2 years. What was I thinking!?!?!?! I really only did it because I figure it will be a good way to meet some people. We'll see. :^:

Well, I've got to get DH packed - he has to go to NYC again tomorrow - and then I am hitting the comfy bed!

Going to the gym in the morning.... :strong:

Been slow here today. I am not hiding out.... I went to OKC to pick up my daughters wedding dress. She looks soooooooooo beautiful !!!!!! :D We were really worried... she has gained about 10-15 lbs since we ordered this dress. We were not sure it would still fit. But she made it. LOL A little more snug... but hopefully she can get that weight off by May. :crossed: Hope she has better luck than me. :^:

anyone watch American Idol tonight.?? What a let down from last week.
How on earth did those twin guys get this far??
Last week almost all of them were good. This week .... almost none of them were any good. I hope next week goes better.

Okay... gotta go. I am still hunting on ebay for a flowergirl dress. I bid on one tonight. I waited till the last 15 minutes and upped the bid.... but they said it did not match the required minimum bid for seller. Heck.. she started the bidding.. and I topped it. If she has a minimum... why doesn't she just start the bid at that price. :?: Sure sounds like the smarter thing to do .. to me.

Okay... I am going. Love you all !!!!

Just a quick hello before I jump in the shower and go get my kids from school.

I think I'm back on track with the food (knock on wood). I've been super slacking on the exercise the last week, but MADE myself do it today. 10 minutes tae bo and 10 minutes on the bike. And I'll probably be getting some extra exercise from walking since my car bit the dust AGAIN!! I'm waiting for the estimate to decide whether or not I even want to fix it this time. It is a black hole for money. I just finally got caught up enough to actually open a savings account so OF COURSE, right on cue, the car dies. Heaven forbid I actually have some extra money lying around. *sigh*

Anyhoo, I'm off for now
later taters,

Good morning ladies!

Wow, it certainly has gotten slow. I'd post more during the day if I could post from work.

I have an all day meeting today and then DH and I are driving down to pick up our boat (4 hour round trip). He's wanting to see if we can trade it in for a pontoon or deck boat - without major money involved. So, no exercise for me today as I need to get my a$$ to work soon and I won't be drinking my half-gallon of water either since I won't be able to run pee 50 times.

I haven't been doing anything exciting. Coming home from work and putting on my jammies. Its TOM and I've been blah. I need to snap out of that.

2Cute - How exciting about the dress. Wow, it will be here before you now it. And so will the trip in April.

Barb - How are you doing on your second week of SBD? Or is this third? I love it.

Okay ladies, we need some enthusiasm around here. :drill: Its scary when it gets quiet because that usually means that people are not OP nor are they doing any exercise. The biggest battle we have to win is changing our lifestyle so that we don't fall off the wagon for days upon days. Its about adapting real life to a healthy life. We won't feel better about ourselves if we keep on doing the things we used to do that led us to being overweight in the first place. I hope that everyone is busy being healthy.

Have a great OP day!

Good Morning Ladies!
It's a bright and sunny :sunny:, but cold day here! I'm a little slow moving this morning since my evening was thrown off a little last night. Luckily it's a work at home day, so I am going to work in my jammies until lunch time, when I am going to change and head to the gym! :strong: Didn't get up early enough to go this morning. DH will be gone tonight so I should be able to get some things done around here.

Terri - this is sort of week 2 on SBD. I fell apart a little over the long weekend and had a sandwich on the run for dinner tonight. The scale really let me know that I screwed up over the weekend. I am back on track. I will continue phase one for longer than 2 weeks since I didn't do a solid 2 weeks. I do like the plan, just need to be better about planning ahead! ~~ Good luck with the boat trip - hope you are able to get something new that you want!
:)

Jen - Great job getting back on track with the food and exercise! Sorry to hear about the car problems! ;)

2Cute - I am sure it was wonderful to see your daughter in her wedding dress! :D I missed American Idol, but taped it - guess I'll be fastforwarding through most of it!

Alright, gotta start in on some work! I'll catch up later!

I'm so mad, I did better food wise this last week than the week before and I gained .75lbs, the week before I lost 8.25lbs, what's going on. I not going to give up I will continue with SBD I'm just going to stay on Phase 1 untill I start losing again. Obviously it works or I wouldn't have lost the first week, but why nothing the second week, I didn't cheat at all, if anything I didn't eat enough. Maybe my body is not sure what to do, it's a little shocked and is trying it's darndest to hold on to this fat. Anybody else having any similar effects? Oh well we'll see how this next week looks.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day, Df and I are going to Edmonton Saturday, and renting a room, and just going to hang out together and he's got everything planned out as to what he want's to do in our private little room. That's the only thing he has on his mind, he would be fine if we never left the room. But I'm going shopping and out for drinks and dancing with one of my girlfriends, I'm not sitting in now Hotel room.
My sister is getting married in July so we have to go out dress shopping as well, I don't think she has started any shopping yet, I'll have to get on her case, don't want to leave things to the last minute.
Well gotta get back to work. Good Day

Man .. it really is slow around here. And I am not able to help out much either.
I have a full day planned again today. No time for visiting again.

Terri.. I LOVE reading your POSITIVE, upbeat posts.
You are always trying to encourage us to stay on track and why it is important.
Many of you do it too... but today Terri's just hit me.

Barb... You are such a great role model for always getting your exercise in. :bravo:
How did you enjoy your 'dress casual' morning.

Jen... I am soooo sorry about your car woes. That sucks. It is a rule of life...if you pay off your car.. or you get some spare money.... the car ALWAYS needs repair.
I hope it is something minor. Congratulation for your 20 minutes of exercise.

okay,, gotta run. I am running out of time to get this stuff done.

Hi everyone! Just checking in because it has been so slow and wanted everyone to have SOMETHING to read. Not that it will be long OR earthshattering!

#1 Son is leaving for Akron, OH in a little bit. Job related. They have him so now he is go-fer for everything no one else wants to do. I think they take advantage of him, but he's just like his father....good natured and will take all sorts of crap! Soooo, off he goes. This will be his first business trip and on his own. Anytime he's ever gone anywhere, it's been with the "baby". So this will be new and different.

I'm having lunch today with some of the ladies (wives/daughters) from the nursing home where my dad was. We try and get together about once every 6 weeks to keep in touch. Most of them do not have anyone there anymore. Dad's been gone 3 years now.

Well, girls, I'm headed out. Can't stay here and get gone too, unfortuneately. I've been up and out already today, getting my teeth cleaned and doing a coffee shop job. Now I have lunch and a "bank job" to pull this afternoon. Think my van needs an oil change as well, if I can find the coupon. :o

See you all later. Love  ya bunches.

Hi Ladies!
Just popping in to check on my favorite chicks!! :D I am finishing up work for today and I think I am going to break out the vacuum. I swear - with 3 dogs I could vacuum 24/7 and still have fur everywhere. Ugh! Since honey is gone tonight I am going to vacuum, fix dinner, take a hot bath and then watch the Bachelorette!!! :o Yes, you know me - the cheesy tv fan!!!

Then maybe I'll have time to read before bed - I have been reading Jackie Collins latest book for about a month now - just can't seem to get in more than a couple pages at a time! :p

I went to the gym during lunch today and had a pretty good cardio workout followed by a few of the Nautilus machines. Food is good so far today!! I am striving to maintain this week after I blew it over the weekend! :^:

Okay, enough chit chat for now...gotta go be productive!

We just got back from NYC a little while ago...back to reality! I have to work tonight, so I really need to nap... and soon!

We had a great time, saw "The Boy from Oz," last night, starring Hugh Jackman...you know, "Wolverine" in the XMen movies...or, "Leopold" in Kate and Leopold? Anyway, he's ADORABLE and the show is fantastic...you can see how much this man loves to perform, there was so much joy in his performance. And guess who was in the audience, just two rows in front of us? Regis Philbin and his wife, Joy. I had to make myself watch his show this morning to hear what he had to say about the play...he usually annoys me, but it's always fun to see someone famous!

I've actually been holding my own, diet wise...even these past three days away. Making good choices and we've done so much walking, I'm not worried about missing the gym. I didn't weigh myself last Friday, as TOM was imminent. (Saturday he checked in) so I'll check the scale this coming Friday.

Well, I have to run. I just popped in while dh went to pick up the dog from the kennel...I'm supposed to be getting dinner together...  I think I'm spoiled by three days of eating out!

Well, I was so busy at work I didn't even have time to lurk. DH's not feeling good today, so we stayed home from church. It's too bad he doesn't feel good as today is his birthday!

I got my drug study medication today. I took the first dose before lunch, but so far I can't tell it did anything. I'm getting ready to take my second one soon. I'm supposed to take them about 30 minutes before a meal. The dietatian didn't give me any diet or plan to follow, just a journal to keep track of everything I eat. Then when I go back in 2 weeks, she will check it out then give me "suggestions"

I went to the health club and walked my mile today, but didn't get in the water for the aerobics class. No real reason, I just didn't feel great, and wanted to make sure I wasn't late for my doc's appointment.
