Hello,
My name is Carol and I just registered at the site. I have a lot of weight to lose and I need a little support from those who've been there. I'm somewhere around 345 right now and I want to lose about 165 pounds. I've given up on weight loss programs an am now following a lower calorie lower fat diet. That's what my doctor suggested and I know it works best for me. If I have to weigh in every week I just get discouraged. The weight always comes off quickly at first but as soon as it slows down I start obsessing. For now I'm not getting near a scale. I'll gauge my success by how I look and feel. I have considered gastric bypass but I really don't want to go through that. I've had two surgeries in the past year and that's enough for me. I also don't think I could deal with life after the surgery and the tiny portions of food. I know it's been great for a lot of people and I am really thrilled for all of them. Of course I know it's always an option if I can't get this in control soon. For all of you who've lost weight through any method, congratulations and keep it up. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. :)

WELCOME CAROL !!!
We are happy to have you join us. We have an ongoing thread called 300+ and ready to try again that starts a new thread after about 30 posts. We just add the new number onto the end. I think we are on about 475 now. Feel free to join us there daily... heck hourly if need be. lol

I see you found our bio page. I enjoyed reading and getting to know a little about you. We have people on all kinds of programs. I think yours sounds like a sound plan. We have a picture thread too if you want to share your pic with us. We had more before.. but the site crashed not long ago and we lost a bunch.

I am looking forward to getting to know you better.

Hi you two. I'm moving both of your posts over to the other thread so that everyone will see them and they won't get missed.
