The first two pictures were taken last April near my high weight (about 290 I think... not quite my high weight)

The last two pictures are now (about 220). The black dress I'm wearing now was a "target" dress. I bought it a number of years ago and loved it. It was the first thing I grew out of, and I'm thrilled to be back in it. I have an event to wear it at next month, too!

So, boy, you can really see a difference in my face! And I have a waist again!

More recent pics of myself (expcept for the first which was taken last summer at about the same weight). . . examples of how I kinda hide behind my hair and glasses (and occasional trademark hat), and also how I choose weird angles and crop in just the right areas in an attempt to hide my weight. I'm known in some circles for drawing slim, sexy female characters and sometimes I get paranoid over letting people see "the whole picture."

Wow, not only am I much thinner (had just lost a lot of weight at the time) my hair was so short! I believe I was around 220-230 and this picture remains one of my incentives.

I have almost finished another one called Angel of Cross-stitch (just have to do the back stitch which isnt my favourite thing) .. dont know what I will do with it when I have finished, probably fold it up and put it in a box with other ones I havent homed yet rofl .. and the other one I have started is for my mum for her birthday in November, its a nice brick house in the background with lots of little flowers etc in and on the front of it.

I still havent learnt how to do the french knots .. I have been shown and can usually manage to do one .. then I just cant get it right .. so I now cheat and wherever a french knot is supposed to be.. I put a tiny little bead instead .. makes it a little different I think :)

Here's a pic from today with me in an outfit I looooove! Yeah it's nothing special at all, just normal clothes...but that's the point!!! I've been in elastic pants for the years now, LOL!! Just wanted to post the latest pics that we took at the hotel at the weekend. Neil set up the camera and we just clicked away. I was impressed that the only shirt he took with him matched my top. The pic also shows off my new necklace that I got to wear with my new low cut tops. I'm really happy with how these turned out. I'm going to post both of my favourites, as I can't decide which one to put up. The first one is the one I've got framed at the moment, but I may change it to the other one.

Thank you for putting up with having to look at all of these pics of me. I'm just really pleased with how I can actually manage to look OK in photos now. Oh, and I really like my colours in these pics. The hair colourist was right I think... I should be wearing more hot/warm colours such as reds and browns.

Ok the first pic is Cal and Daren with the houses of Parliament and Big Ben behind them.
The second is Daren and I with the wax works of the Little Britain characters, Lou and Andy.
The third is Daren and I with our feet in the water at Diana's memorial fountain. It's designed for people to be able to have a splash around in, a people's fountain just like Diana was a people person :)

This is a very bad picture of me, but it was the first day I had Simon as an 8 or 9 week old kissy-faced snuggle baby. My hair looks insane, but I guess it wasn't meant to be flattering.

These are my boys romping last spring. Max, the collie mix, is sporting his early spring hair cut - a mohawk. I didn't enjoy him shedding all that hair in the truck, but we still traveled to really cold places, so I left the mohawk to at least protect his spinal area. I love the look on Max's face!

This is Gabriel. He doesn't look too impressive just standing around stuffing his face, but at least you can see his sexy, hairy legs. This was taken late last spring and he still had his winter coat on, bleach by the sun. When his new coat comes in it's very black, not the nasty brown he looks like here.

Here is the pic of my team from the charity walk on Friday. It is a very flattering picture of me - the angle and the dark makes me look smaller than I am. But that's ok - better then the other way around!

I got such good comments about our costumes! Being all black, you can't get a great view of the gown.

Just wanted to show my new hairdo. It is kinda similar to the last one, which had pretty much grown out, but the stylist said it is 'funkier'. I have a feeling that 'funkier' translates to 'messier', but it is different, which is fine by me. It seems that since I changed my body shape/size, I don't really know what 'style' I want the rest of me to be, so I'm still experimenting.

The first pic shows a good side shot and I think you get a good idea of the colour and shape. The cut is more layered, so it doesn't all sit nice and flat.

The second shot I wanted to put in because I just like the look on my face. Kinda 'dreamy'.

I took both shots myself, after taking LOTS, and I don't think they turned out too bad.

I wanted to post some pics from our day at the wildlife park the other day.
We went into a walk-in aviary and as soon as we entered this cute galah landed on hubby's shoulder and wouldn't get off. It was keen on biting his camera, but then just happily sat and nibbled on his collar when he was nudged away from the camera.

The first pic is my favourite, as hubby is smiling, but the second pic shows the looks that the galah got most of the time. It is funny, but we get these parrots all over the place and I often ignore them, but they are actually quite pretty birds.

Last time I went to get my fringe (bangs) cut the hairdresser said that I could just try putting it over to the side and growing it a little longer, so I'll see how that works. I am still trying to work out what I want to look like as this 'new' me. Sad huh? :?: Especially seeing as I've been this new me for over a year now and I still can't get used to it. Just something else for you all to remember as you head towards your goals. There will be SO many changes for you to catch up with.

Here are a couple of pictures from after I lost weight. I put on a pair of work pants that used to fit me tightly. Also--I just took these pictures today so it's already after my surgery. I'm going to post a picture right after this thread that will hopefully let you all see how I looked before I lost the belly. :) I still have a way to go, but I feel pretty good.

Also--in the pictures in black you can't really tell the difference of what I'm doing.:dizzy: but in the first one I'm pulling the pants legs out to show you the difference in how much extra room there is in the pants legs and in the second one it's obviously the waist. I just started thinking it might look a little confusing. :D

Constantine from AI season 4 at Greek Fest in Dallas. I LOVED him on the show and have continued to follow his career since then. This is the 2nd year he's come to Dallas for Greek Fest and the 2nd time I have gotten to see him perform. This time I was very excited to get his autograph AND he spoke to me. Here are some pictures from Waterfire at Providence, Rhode Island from Saturday night, October 6, 2007.

The first two pictures show how the Rhode Island State House all lit up in pink as a tribute to breast cancer awareness.
The third picture was taken while looking at the river and trying to get a nice picture of all of the fires on the river.
The fourth picture was taken because I really wanted to get a picture of the gondola rides. I thought they looked cool with their black and white shirts. :D
The last picture was taken getting the state house and some of the waterfire. Sadly, my camera skills are not good enough to capture the beauty of the waterfire. It was a lot nicer than I thought it would be. :)

I wanted to post a few recent photos (taken today) for a couple of reasons. One is that I need to see for myself whether my weight gain is that obvious, and two, to show people here how I am going. I can certainly see a difference from the earlier pics, when I first reached 161lbs, and now. I am thicker in the waist for one thing. These pics are unique in that I have never posted one side-on before and I have never posted my bare arms before. Side on you can see my fuller rear end and stomach. A lot of this is due to excess skin, but some is the increased weight. And YOU are the first people in probably 20 years or more to see my upper arms, other than hubby and my mum and doctors. I cover them up at all times, because they are so wrinkly. I am posting the third pic because that is the light cover that I put on over the top of the tank top so I didn't scare other shoppers today.

I am hoping that some time this year I will be able to post more pics that show me a little lighter at least. I don't want to get 'skinny' by any means, but I want to get down a little so that I have some 'breathing room' when TOM comes to visit.

I have been discouraged with the lack of scale changes, but as I said in a previous post, I can tell body changes so I thought I'd compare to the last pictures I took for weight loss comparison. They were taken in April, and not even at my highest weight. The others (in brown) were taken earlier this afternoon. I weighed 330, which is my highest weight, the second picture is at 303, I am now at 290...and I will try to post another pic after another 10 or more pounds lost.
You may not be able to tell much of a difference, but I am so excited for my loss. I have been big my whole life....and this is the first time that I have ever lost a significant amount of weight. I pray to continue this way always.

I'm adding some pictures from today. I think the problem right now is that I don't really have much that fits. It's either a little loose, or a little tight. However, here's what I wore out shopping today (with a jacket, since it was still cool). Also, a picture of a shirt I feel is just a little tight, so I'm hoping it will be different in a little while.

Here is a picture from my hike a couple of weeks ago up "Dog Mountain" -- this is the one where we gained 1600' in 1.5miles. Even though I just had a daypack, it was a tough hike. The flowers are yellow balsamroot, and there are two meadows on this mountain just covered in these flowers. The shot is looking west down the Columbia Gorge towards Portland and Vancouver (WA, not BC :)). I didn't take this pix nor the ones from the backpacking trip this weekend, but I did see these scenes with my own two eyes :).

Here's a few pix of my backpacking trip this weekend. The one of me and my friend by the waterfall is at this really cool waterfall called Tunnel Falls where there is a 30' or so tunnel blasted out of the rock behind this huge waterfall. There's one of me and my other friend with our packs on, and one of one of the many waterfalls along the trail. As you can see, the weather was gorgeous -- it doesn't always rain here in Oregon :).

The first pic was taken on Christmas Day 2007, after I had lost about 40 lbs. The second was taken yesterday now that I have lost my first 100 lbs. Although I hate both these pictures, I wanted to get as close to the first one as possible so I could make a comparison and see what difference there was. I don't have a full length picture for comparison since i have avoided cameras for years, but I do plan to take some full length pics in the next few days to I can do comparison pics from this point on.

Got my hair coloured the other day. I didn't mean for it to be RED, just a little 'warmer', but I think I'm getting used to it. I think it is more red/pink where the blonde highlights were. I just had a straight colour this time (to save money) but will have foils when I get it done just before the holiday.

Attached are a couple of pix from Yosemite. The one of the mountain is Mt. Conness, the tallest mountain in the Sierras north of Tioga Road in Yosemite. It is at 12,500' and I took it from a vantage point around 10,200'. The second one is of the lake I camped at. It was taken just as the sun was rising and the lake was perfectly still. There are some really beautiful places that can only be seen by backpacking or horsepacking -- I feel so fortunate that I'm able to do what I'm doing!

These are from around my highest weight, it's amazing what 30 or 40 lbs can do, I really notice my weight loss when I look at these pictures, especially in my face... I joined a "biggest loser" group at work back in 06 and lost 40lbs......then didn't lose anything else till I started my new eating habits in Feb.....so since Feb I've lost 50lbs......so from the photo on the left till the photo on the right I lost somewhere near 90lbs.....my starting weight, weight lost on 3fc is based off of Feb till now......

First time I have ventured from my comfort zone in non-black dress slacks. OK - so they are mostly black but it is a big step for me. They also are the smallest size that Catherine's carries - that's the best part!

Here are some new pics. I got my hair cut/colored and styled yesterday. I love the cut. She gave me thicker bangs and colored it with my first ever highlights.
