Hello Everyone...Its been a chilly here today but lots of :sunny:..I hope it stays that way.. I have been out today making the rounds.. Buddy is holding his own.. He has been taking breathing treatments at the hospital and no decission has been made about more Chemo or not. Personally I hope that the Dr. waits untill he is stronger. I really dont think he can take alot right now. He is very week.. I took him a cake over and spent a few minutes with him..I didnt want to tire him out. He was tired enough.. I tried check on the lady that fell..I am waiting on info about her...I hope that everything is ok with her.....Tomorrow I have alot more errands. Taking a friend to a Dr. appointment. Her car is being serviced..Then hopefully we will go to lunch. I want to go to Olive Garden for soup and salad..Or Macaroni Grill..they both are good..Over weekend we have friends coming to vist..got lots to do get ready to see them..I am making some food and giving the house the once over....it needs the twice over but no time..:lol:
They just called today..They are in town visting their children.....

Daphne..It was so good to hear from you..I cant get over the Great Buys you get at your Walmart..I would have bought 2 kings size bed linens too..What bargain.. They would never be that low here...I am trying to find Jersey sheet sets for a King Size bed. They are made with the same Material T-shirts are made from and the material is streachy .. I got them at Costco and when they have them they go like hot cakes..So far this year they didnt get any in yet.. I am waiting cause they are very reasonable there..
I hope that you can let us know what other bargins you got at Walmart.

Be careful what you wish for..:lol:..I hope that the children are out of school so you dont have to worry about getting them to and from school...Thats so hard especially with one car. I cant get over that Blazer. It seems to be jinkes.. I hope that the place that fixed it before will not charge you cause its not fixed when they said it was..I hope it can be fixed once and for all..

My Jim was coming home from work last night and had a accident on our very own street. Lost control of the car and landed in a ditch at a neighbors house. He is good, but the car may not be. :(

Hi everyone.. well every ones gone and its just the dh and me..i thought i would be tired but im not..we had such a fun weekend..we laughed alot..and played with the grkids..the b-day party was fun..all the usual games..and those skinny balloons that you make into animals and hats and stuff little kids running around aged 4 thru 11....i took lots of pictues..my oldest grson made me a minature snowman.. it stood about 9 inches.. and is living in my kitchen refrig freezer :lol: :rofl: :lol: ..its not every granny that has a snowman in her freezer..today am catching up on all the laundry no towels as every one had to try out the new shower and they also went swimming while we were at bingo..by the way i was a 300$ winner last nite :D ..i weighed this am as i was feeling a little slimmer :o and have lost another 2 1/2 # so i have another 1/2 #'s to go and i will be back to what i was after my surg..by the way the doggy car wash worked great except for the dryer..she did not like it and it took 2 guys to get her in it but she sure looks pretty now..and we really had to coax her to ride in her new sled..hope she gets over that as the dh worked hard on it :lol: :?: :lol: ..so where are all of you today??hope you are all ok and doing something fun..will check in later(((hugs))))))rosey:wave:

Still don't know any more about the damage to the car but plans are still on it's way for leaving for Wednesday for our adventure!

My surgery on my elbow has been changed for the 22nd of March.

Not much going on except getting ready for the trip and watching my impulses where food is concerned.

Hi guys just a brief post for me. Although I have internet call waiting on my computer, I've had some problems with more than one person calling at the same time which would give them all a busy signal apparently. Anyway, Logan had to come home on friday from school and they called my grandparents and then my mom and then she walked down here to tell me about it. No one bothered with my cell phone and found out that in the office at school the cell phone number wasn't on anything in the office. Evidently only the nurse had it and she doesn't work there anymore.

Then there is the issue with the blazer still in the shop. We never heard anything and then Dh called them this morning. They said they worked on it until 10 pm saturday to put a new distributor on it and it still won't crank. He's suppose to call back later. I have to go to greenville tomorrow for Brett's endocrinologist visit. Dont really see anything new changed there but who knows. Our 5th grade trip to alabama and tennessee is fast approaching and i"m nervous. We leave on the 31st and I won't know anyone there. I know brett will take up with some guy friends and leave me hanging like the new kid on the block. I'm sure you all know that feeling.

Donna i know you're excited for your bahama trip and I know you will take some beautiful pictures but remember when you post them, we want to see the front of the bikini and not the "thong" backside. :lol: BTW, I still need our group here so dont anyone go anywhere.

Rosey sorry you've been alone on here again. I was trying to stay offline due to the call waiting issues. Dh is home today as well and has been all weekend. He returns to work tomorrow with or without that blazer. I'm glad you had fun with those grandkids and your shower. :lol:

Hello Everyone....What a week and Weekend.. Been so very very busy..and with company thrown in on that mix..well..I am sure you all have been there.
Please Donna...Understand..I am not going anywhere.I am so sorry that I was unable to post for a few days..but its been so very hetic here..
Computer acting up..Had a freind install a new program and that was messed up for awhile..Always something..:lol: but I have to laugh...Checking on Buddy and Bert and the lady that fell..All of that over the end of last week and the weekend..Whewwwwww I am pooped..:lol:
I have been down to one vehicle...Our car needs a new battery and alternator..That will get fixed this week I hope..I had to run a bunch of erands before the company came..So much happeing at one time..
I have to wait untill the end of the week to go to the gym..No wheels..

Hi everyone..ssoooooooo glad to here from everyone..i am a classic worrier :lol: :?: :lol: and when i dont here from you i always think somethings wrong :?: it couldnt be that you are busy ya think :lol: anyways you are all my family so in entitled to worry about you all..dana.. sorry that that dang blazer is giving you trouble again..wish you could just get rid of it and get something else..are you using your new stamps stuff?? kris thanks for the hi-fives..ive been struggling awhile now..one day i stay on pts and the next :?: ..summer..the apple dip is simple 2- 8 oz boxes of cream cheese..1/2 cup br sugar.. and 2 tbls of watkins carmel flavoring softnen cheese and mix together..if you want it thinner use milk..(if you cant find a watkins dealer you can get it on line..just serve it with sliced apples..if you used the fat free cr cheese it would be better diet wise :dizzy:we had a great weekend.. my dd and i went to town to get our pictures developed as yesterday she found out that all the pics she took didnt turn out as her camera wasnt working..she was so upset as shes into the scrapbooks now like me and had taken some sp shots..but i had taken pitures too so when we picked them up there was not one b-day picture..i thought she was going to cry..when we got to my house we found another disposable camera that i had missed so they've got to be on that one.. she's going to call and let me know..and the pictures of the kids in the dog sled and the snowman in my freezer turned out really cute..if i can figure out how to scan and get the pictures in here i will the dd said she would help.. we will see..((((((((hugs)))))) i will check in later rosey:wave:

I will catch up on any posts in a few minutes but wanted to tell yall something that happened really crazy here over the last 2 hours. DH noticed someone coming on our porch and it was a sheriff. He wanted the description of our neighbor. After we told him he said that he was wanted in a very bad hit and run accident. There were 4 cop cars over there with the blue lights on and it was nearly dark which made it all really nervous to me. I'm still shaky.

They towed a truck that was over there that was seen in the accident but what we never could tell the cops was that truck didn't belong to the guy they were looking for and we don't know who's truck that was. Anyway, we could see the cops searching under the home and eventually they came through one end of the trailor and walked all the way through with flashlights. They didn't find anyone. Well about 30 minutes after they left, the guy they were looking for came home just about a 10 second visit and he drove off. It's all really crazy but was certainly eventful. I am afraid something may happen after we go to bed.

Nothing much else to report here but thought I would see if anyone had been back in since lastnight. I have to get ready in a bit to take brett to that dr. It's raining here so I want to allow traveling time.

Update on the family next door, it wasn't long after the cops left that every light was on in their house. I use the word "house" with caution. What they live in is actually 3 old single wide trailors back to back that they made into what you would actually refer to as a shack. Not to degrade but that's what it looks like. Well anyway, we live parallel to it so when the cops came through on the opposite end of it at night, we could see it from our bedroom window. Anyway, the whole family is home including the boy they were looking for. I don't know if maybe they heard it on their scanner and got scared and hid or if they don't know anything at all. At least if any cops come today, I won't be home until after noon.

The blazer is suppose to be ready to pick up $530 later. They changed the distributor cap, put some kind of button on it that relates to the oil and gas getting together and changed the plugs. I asked him for that price did they fix his powered windows and make him a key to unlock the doors. Besides having 117,000 miles on it, that's what else is wrong. Other than the tires, motor and transmission, everything else on it is new now. Well accept for the alternator.

Summer I certainly sympathize with you and the car situation. I had to take DH to work this morning before I could get the kids up and ready for school. I hate to leave them alone like that but thankfully I can get him to work and back in less than 15 minutes. Of course a lot can happen in that time but my grandparents live right up behind us and when mama is home, she lives between me and my grandparents.

Donna I hope that your car isn't bad. Let us know what you hear. I guess if I were you, I wouldn't even think about it until after your trip. Don't let anything keep you from having your well deserved relaxing vacation. So i guess you're setting the standards: if we get to our weight loss goal, we get to go to the bahamas?? :lol: Well girls, if that's not a huge incentive.

Congrats on your losses glen and rosey. I had a 1 pound gain last week and need to fix my signature to reflect that and then tomorrow I weigh again. I didn't do pilates yesterday but I hope to do more of that real long workout. I made it 40 minutes last time and my muscles are screaming nearly as bad today as they were sunday.

Well I need to really get off here. Brett is home and wants me to see about spending his toysrus card on the website to order something out of stock in the store and I need to eat a bite and get ready. I think me and him will eat at Sonic on the way home this afternoon but SHH! you didn't hear that from me! :)

Rosey I am having one of those days today. I just want to say ENOUGH already and quit calling me. Not trying to be rude but enough is enough and it's not any one person. It took us nearly all day in greenville today which as I said it takes every bit of 75 minutes to drive and that's as long as the traffic is ok. Well we did fine there and I will tell about that later but then halfway home I decided to cut through to another town that had the toysrus store and we were able to go straight in and out for what he wanted. Then we get in at 2 and had to leave at 2:25 or so to get in school line. My mama had been trying to call me all day and more on that later. Anyway we get in and DH calls to tell me to be at his work at 4:30 today to get him to take him to get car. Then we had to go to school. Just get in and mama is calling from work again (can you make a hair app't for me?) You're kidding. That's what you've wanted all along. Anyway, then my dads mama (granny) is trying to call be in the meantime I decided that I needed to do my pilates for me today. I feel like I could bust. No kidding either. Then my other grandma calls. I talk to her briefly and then make the hair app't. Now I'm so saddened. My grandma just told me that my only living grandpa has prostate cancer. That's exactly what killed my other grandpa. I don't know what to say or how to feel but I know that when I see my DH, I will end up yelling at him that I've had enough. I'm tired of driving and making app'ts and meetings and taking him to work and picking kids up 3 different times on 2 days a week. I'm tired of being the only one in the family to take care of brett or help laken with braille homework. I haven't slept a wink in 2 days. I just want to cry but no one understands. Lastnight DH told me to take something for PMS or I would be hitting the road soon. Well I"m not PMS'ing yet. I'm just tired!

They were pleased with brett in one sense this morning, he's doing all of his shots and he lost 2 pounds and has gained 2 inches taller since june but his sugars are still over 200 too much. His HBA1C is up to 9.1% and it was 8.9% in december and needs to be in the 5 to 6% range. So they wanted to change him to Lantus insulin. It is injected at night every day and lasts 24 hours. The down side is he will have to take a shot to cover each and every meal and snack. That would mean average of 5 shots a day and would mean shots at school. They gave him a Novopen to play with and he can use it for suppers for now cause we elected to wait until june to go with all of those shots to get used to it over the summer. The novopen is the gadget that looks like a ball point pen and is prefilled with insulin. It's all a step closer to getting on the pump but he doesn't want that so they said some never do it and they won't push unless he wants it. She's willing to bet he will by the time he's a teenager.

I haven't heard anything else about my neighbor but can only tell you he's been in and out all day and his parents vehicles are gone right now so I guess they are at work. Really crazy to me still but I haven't heard about any hit and runs in the news and you would think there would be.

Well I need to get ready to get DH and the car. I'm just so fricking tired. Sorry.

Dad's thing was wonderful. I got to see the guy I had my first crush on. He still looks good. :devil: I used to think he was so old, but he is only 1 week older than Brad. Isn't that funny? All of my dad's friends were there and we are so proud!

The ball was nice. It rained and rained and rainedand...ok, you get the picture, so my hair looks terrible. We had a great time though, and danced until we couldn't keep going. It was wonderful! DH and I are going to try to take some dance lessons this summer. :cb: Score one for me

All in all things are ok. My parents are coming to visit in a could of weeks and we are all going to the beach. Should be interesting...hmmm...

Hi everyone.. well the day has not gotton better..im still a grump :lol: :?: :lol: dana i sure can relate ..sounds like you have to much on your agenda..and kris we have to much together time and it wears on my nerves..my dh has been thru alot but so have i..and hes like a 2 yr old wanting me to do everything for him..he cant even remember to take his own meds for crying out loud..grrrrrrrr i could go on but the truth is i spoiled him so now im stuck with it.. i truly love him but some days i want to bean him right between the head lights and tell him to grow up..enuff of the pity party..one of the reasons i was grumpy which the dh pointed out is i needed to eat something as my sugar had gotton to low..gosh i hate when hes right when im in a good ***** session..kinda takes the wind out of my sales :lol: :D :lol: :o :lol: i have a warped sence of humor sometimes..anyway im ok really..dana..from what you said about brett does that mean he has to take insulin now??how does he feel about that??and you..my Hb usually is about 6 with glocophage..and my sugars are normally around 130 thats when i feel the best anyways..hope this new routine will work for him..i find it confusing for me so admire brett and you in dealing with this..kris your dance sounds like such fun..well hello to everyone else..american idols on in a few so want to watch it..will check in later(((((hugs))))))) from grumpy rosey :wave:

Rosey brett has been on insulin since june. He's a type 1 and he's insulin dependent. It's been lowered at times but now he's nearly on the same units as he was at diagnosis. He takes 2 glucophage a day because his c-peptide level in his last blood work indicated that he still had a tiny bit of pancreas function but that it would dwindle out as well. Once he can get his sugars lowered in the 70-150 range on a regular basis, they will stop the glucophage. Really all it does it stops or slows down your livers production of glucose so that most of your sugar is only from food or from stored muscle. Last night was really crazy, after supper on his new dose of insulin, his sugar was 121 which is really good and then 30 minutes later it was 110. Just before bed isn't a good time to see it keep dropping so I had him drink a juice box for fear of it going too low over night. It was 25 carbs and he ended up being 227 this morning so that's an experience that's taught us that he didn't need quite that much. He didn't even want the juice but that was me insisting.

My mother works with a lady who's neighbor is diabetic and one morning after not being able to get her by phone and knowing she was home, they had to get the police to come help break a window and found her in the bed. 911 came and her sugar was 20 and her dr. said she had been in a coma since late the night before. It was a miracle that she pulled through that and that someone found her in the nick of time. it's things like that, that scare me but hoping brett can tell he's going low while he's sleeping.

The blazer is running and running smoothly. Everything is working properly and he's happy about it. The bill was only $330 and not the previous estimate of $530 so that was a nice treat. I had mentally planned for the higher amount but I think what the guy was telling him on the phone was that they closed at 5:30 and not the bill. :lol: Funny thing about it was I dropped him off to get it yesterday and I was sitting almost across from him in my car but it was taking him too long to move so I just left. Well I needed gas so me and the kids stopped for gas on the way home. He beat us here and as we were coming up the road, he pulled out and left. We were too far behind him for him to know that was us and he forgot his cell phone. Anyway, he went all the way back to trace our steps thinking we were in a wreck or something. Finally 15 minutes later he came home and said "you must have made a gas stop". I said yes, and where were you going when you pulled out in front of me?? We got tickled. He didn't see us and technically he didn't "pull out in front of me" but anyway.

As for my grandpa, he's a christian and is a retired pastor. His heart is right with God so he knows where he will be if he loses his cancer fight. He's a stubborn man and he says he's not having surgery. They are in the process of scheduling app't to see if it's in his bones, lungs or lymph nodes. That's my scare. He's had this 1 1/2 years but the dr. didn't go deep enough into a biopsy back then to see it really was cancer and the biopsy came back yesterday, positive. He's a heart patient, diabetic and has asthma. When he had his heart surgery it was back in 1996 and he nearly died after it. He had a stroke and smothered from anesthesi due to the asthma. He was awake while he has the breathing tube and really traumatized by it all. I understand where he's coming from but at the same time, if it's only in his prostate, he has to have that removed. If it's spread, then it's certainly his decision to live as comfortable as possible and not have treatments. It just scares me right now until I know different. i watched my other grandpa die when I was 17 yrs old and he's the only close relative I've lost.

The positive news and I promised I would do this until pilates was done today (it's in the dvd and waiting for me to start) before I posted this but after weighing 3 times this morning in disbelief, I lost 3 pounds. I certainly can't give up on pilates after seeing that. Well I need to exercise before it gets time for the phone to ring all day. Hope you all have a great wednesday and Donna, Bon Voyage!!

Hello....I am so sorry that I have been in here today. A friend stopped by today and asked me to go shopping with her to get a outfit for a Dance she was asked to.. Of course anything to get out of housework..Right..:lol:
We went to the mall and laughed all day long it was so much fun..
She is dating again..She has been divorced for about 3 years and just now getting out to date.. I think its good for her..She is not looking to get re-married..just a friend to do things with other than women..Never know what it might lead to...I wish her all the best..so when I got home Jim was home..he got off a little earlier..it was so nice out he wanted us to take a walk..so we did...Huffing and puffing..but we did..Then I fixed dinner and the phone starting ringing...well you all know what I am saying..its been a full day..and I am pooped and ready for bed when I get done posting this..

Rosey.. I am so sorry that you are having some bad times with DH..They can be such babies due to us spoiling them..I know where you are coming from..

I am so sorry to hear about your Grandfather.. I will keep him in my Prayers.. I can understand what you Grandfather is talking about with the breathing tube still in him and he is awake. That happened to Jim and I went crazy on them..Its a very long story..but he has been through alot due to that and has medical problems to this day because of it.. and it was a horrific ordeal so I am sure that your Grandfather is scared to death of surgery due to what happen to him..
God Bless him and you...I know that is so hard not to worry about him..but he is in Gods Hands and I am sure he knows that being a Christian and Pastor.....God Bless him...He and you all the famliy members are in my prayers....:grouphug:

Hi y'all I am still here. I am going to follow Summer to the South! Well I do like in Southern Washington does that count y'all? It really is funny how different areas of the States have suck different ways of talking. My friend in New Orleans makes Sphagetti and Red Sauce.... meaning sphagetti and a meat sauce.....I make Sphagetti and don't have to mention the sauce. She says other things and then has to explan what she means to me. She says Nay for no and it just cracks me up. She says they all do that down there.:lol:

Hi everyone..its snowing..i feel like singing jingle bells :lol: dont plan to go anywhere today so let it snow..now tomorrows another story..my dd and i are going to a grand opening of a store called the Stamping Pad..they are having free demos of new products etc so we want to check it out..its not a new store but where they were located before there was no handicap access..not even a railing on their steps so it was difficult for me to get in the store..so never went much..they have moved and now have handicap access so want to see all the new card making stuff..dont understand why stores dont realize that some people need a little help like a railing on steps :?: the dh had a really bad nite ...am so glad the surg been scheduled as i hate seeing him like this..as for the take out we have a resturant about 7 miles from us..actuaaly its my favorite place to eat.. we just ordered burgers and the dh went to pick them up..and grumpy gramma needed the nap.. and i slept fine most of the night too :D i have been exercisiing every day.. its a workout i found in womans day magazine..there are 4 moves.. marching in place.. side steps.. squats..and kicks.. it says if you do these at amoderate rate for 15 min..its the equivalent of walking a mile..its the first exercise that ive found that i can do..ive been doing them in the bathrm with the door shut so i get no comments from certain other people :lol: i dont need an audience to watch me huff and jiggle.. altho everything hurts and determined to do this..it also helps that the dh is watching what he eats to.. so theres no junk in the house.. no temptations..(except if you order out :?: but since i had not eaten all day i just ate all my pts at once :lol: :?: :lol: )am getting ready for the trip to anch next week.. as we dont know how long we will be gone want to make sure everythings done here before we go..well the dh finally up..so am going to have a cup of coffee with him and then get at it for the day..((((((hugs for all))))))rosey :wave:

I have a couple of questions to ask of Rosey and Dana. What kind of eyelet punch do both of you use? I want to buy one but am lost as to what to buy.:shrug: I would like to know what you use for the cards windows as well? I saw on a stamping page that they use acetate paper but at my stamping store she told me to go to Office Max and buy transparency film. I bought some of that and it looks like it will work. OK ladies help me out please??????

Daphne I will post more on this later but in short, I've never used any windows in cards but it's a route I want to explore real soon. It takes longer than anything that i have done so far but it does add a lot to the card so rosey can offer some insight on that subject. My eyelet kit was about $10 and it came in a small package at walmart. It says M'Bellish on the tool so that was probably the brand. I like the one in the CTMH catalog cause it comes with a dainty hammer rather than Kevin's that I use which is large and I feel like I"m beating the card. :lol: Well I need to run to walmart. Mama has been wanting a new tv and we are going to try to get it for her this morning.

Rosey....I hope that you and your DD had a great time at the new Stamping store..I agree with you that ALL Stores need handicap access..Thats only right..I cant get over that its still snowing there..Is that usual?.It was beautiful here yesterday..I wore my sandels and no jacket..I hope that it stays this way..but I know it wont..They are calling for possible snow flurries Tues or Wed..:cry:..I can understand about you not wanting to exercise in front of people..I feel that way about going to the gym..but I cannot let that stop me..I will feel it the most in the Water Arobics class. Hi everyone..its another beautiful day here.. sunny and melting..the grand opening of the stamping store was alot of fun.. they had things set up so you could try new things..i made a card front on dark paper with a new product called versa water mark ink..it had trees..snow and the norhtern lights in it..then you set it with your heat gun..stamped it all over with the water mark ink.. adn then used clear embossing powder on top.. more heat gun..it was like a picture with glass over it..of course i bought the water mark ink as i had the rest of it allready..i even won a door prize of embossing powder in a mint green.. hope im not boring you non stampers but am sure dana and daphnee would want to know :lol: mr ken did you weigh in today and did you have another loss..you are doing so great..summer..thankyou for the encouragement on the exercise..i need the help..have some chix soup simmering on the stove and have been watching the start-up of the iditarod dog races in anch on tv..have any of you heard of it??its unique to alaska but mushers come from all over even from foreign countries.. well hope you are all having a fun day.. will check in later (((hugs)))))) rosey :wave:

Hi everyone..mr ken stamping is a craft using rubber stamps with diff designs and pictures.. and ink pads in all colors and heavy paper in all colors to make greeting cards or small works of art or making scrapbooks with your photos..there's lots more to it and lots more tools but thats the basic jift..i just know you will loose next weekend and ya want to come clean my house too :lol: id rather stamp than clean ..dana and daphnee do this craft as well as myself..daphnee..you stamp with the water mark..then use clear embossing powder.. heat gun..then use colored inks likethe cats eye inks to make your design..set with the heat gun.. tap watermark ink pad over the whole thing..more embossing powder.. then heat gun again..it looks neat and was fun to do..if im boring anyone with this craft stuff you can pm me or e-mail me for directions..i guess im just passionate about this and forget others might not be..spent the day quietly..so what did all of you do?? check in later ((((hugs)))rosey :wave:

Rosey is the water mark ink actually an ink pad? I haven't seen any. It's not in the CTMH catalog, have you seen any on ebay? I find that interesting myself. You should teach a class! :) I was just telling my DH lastnight that you had to go to anchorage. He wanted to know an update on the iditerod? How long does that race last?

I have to get ready for a meeting at school this morning. It's just to show me how to use an abascus that laken uses in math. They want to send it home and use on homework but I think I know how to use it already. Just need to go see her work with it so I can use the same techniques.

My grandpa finds out tomorrow if his cancer has spread and then he will not only decide what course of treatment to take, if any, but also the cat will be let out of the bag officially. They didn't even mention it at church yesterday unless they did in the first service. That's the one he goes to but my uncle (his son) is actually the one who takes the prayer requests and he didn't mention it in the afternoon service. My grandpa pastored this church earlier on so I figured it must be he was waiting until after tomorrow.

Friday night my mom, sister and a friend went to see The Passion. I haven't even talked to them since going cause I find I am a little bit upset about that. They left at 8:00 and they had tickets for the 9:40 show that night and didn't get home until after midnight which I wouldn't necessarily want to do but it would have been my only shot to see it while it's still in the theater. The theater around here doesn't play it until 1:50 at the earliest and it doesn't give me time to see if before school lets out so I guess I won't be able to. DH was home friday and the kids were in the bed by then so there wasn't any reason why they didn't invite me. I only want to see it with my DH because to me that's the way it should be, but I think I would have went if given that opportunity. So they better not discuss it with me or tell me any details I haven't already heard until it's out on DVD. :lol:

I guess donna is back now. Welcome back donna to the cool part of the world. They are actually calling for some snow mix for our county tomorrow after we've had near 80 temps for days. How crazy but I kept telling my kids who wanted to replace shorts for pants that we could still have snow even in april. My grandma recalls the biggest snow this area has ever seen to be years ago in april.

Well I need to post this and eat a bite, get ready and get to the school again. This is a day that all 3 get out at different times too. I should just stay there with them! NOT!

Rosey I meant to have commented on your post the other day about survivor. Back when that incident happened, I yelled at my DH and told him "OMG Richard just rubbed his naked self on Sue". I thought it was disgusting, should never have happened and sue had every right to be mad and leave. They should not have permitted him to run around nude like that. What are we telling our kids when they see stuff like that on what should be a PG show at best. I did see CBS's early show on tuesday though and richard and sue have gotten past that now. I was afraid he would be sued (not pun intended) but so far it looks like they made amends.

Blew in last night and man getting into the Bahamas is much easier than getting out! LOL We waited over two hours in customs and immigrations/ security/ check in/ lines before we finally were able to board our plane. The carribbean is absolutely beautiful! If you never have been there you need to go. We had a very nice time and learned a little bit as well about other areas. I don't think it's a place for young kids though. It's definately a party place. There are a few things that kids would be interested in but after the sun goes down what is there? Mostly all that is open in Nassau are night club spots and restaurants. We did a lot of walking to some main tourist spots and took a semi-submarine to see the coral reefs which were amazing! Also a boat ferry to Paradise Island and went through the Atlantis hotel and casino that is something else. Also ended up touring another area that was a story in it's self. Made 50 dollars on that one! LOL It is funny now but at the time it wasn't too funny. Met people from UK as well as parts of US.

Elena was well taken care of and we are glad all went well because we were not able to call and check on her while we were there. Jim bought a phone card and it said would work in the Carribeans but it didn't. The hotel was going to charge us 3$ a minute to call the US and of course our cell phone did not work there. So, we hoped for the best, all involved had the hotel number if there was a problem, and called her as soon as we got into Charlotte before flying into GSP. I said at the first that we did BLOW in last night. The wind was quite fierce on our little plane coming into Greenville and even the flight attendant said "take a deep breath" when we landed. LOL

I will be posting pictures soon. I only have 160 to go through. The weather was absolutely wonderful every day we were there and now I'm home and they are calling for snow tomorrow. The natives in the Bahamas like to rub it in that we are living in cold, and there it is warm and GREEN all the time! LOL Actually it was in the high 70's/low 80's and to them it was cool. LOL

PS I woke up yesterday with a chest cold and I slept almost all day. I got up at 9:30 went back to sleep at 11, up at 12:30 back to bed at 3 and then up at 4:30 and bedtime at 10!:lol: It was a sunny day and I missed it all!

Hello Everyone....Its another sunny day here..but its colder than last week and teh weekend....The weather report said possible flurries tomorrow..oh well Old Man Winter is still here....:cry:
Had a busy weekend..alot of errands and vists to people..I went to see But and take her some goodies..I wanted to see Buddy but he wasnt up to vists..
He was tired from getting treatments at teh hospital..( Breathing treatments)
I went shopping at the mall..Ordered a case for the our CD players for the DJ rack..Went to a different Costco's..That was alot bigger than the one closer to me..Had diinner out...Played cards Sat with some friends and Sunday we went for a ride in the sountry..All in all it was a great weekend..

Donna...WELCOME HOME......Sounds like you had a Wonderful time..I would love to see all of that..I beleive that if I ever get there I would Never come back..:lol:..I would get a job sweeping sand for room and board to stay..:lol:

I hope I don't disappoint you all that I did not get a tan. Jim came home with one because of his skin tone he tans easy. I burn then tan and usually takes more than a few days in the sun to do that. However, not wanting skin cancer anyway I use lots of sunscreen! :rofl:

Hello Everyone...Its been a real busy 2 days for me.. I had to pick-up my neighbor when her car broke down again. The dealership has put on 2 fuel pumps on it at different times and it runs for awhile and then starts cutting off on her again..She is a elderly person and she gets very nervious when this happens.. To make a very long story short.. I have been real busy getting things straight for her...Between the towing company and the Dealership..its been one of those days...She now has a loaner car and I told the dealership to keep her car untill they find out what it is and fix if once and for all...aftet that I had grocery shopping and other errands and I went to a 3 years olds birthday this evening...........So I am pooped..

Rosey... Sorry to hear that its snowing again. I sure hope that you dont have to travel while its snowing..Be careful on the trip to Anchorage.

Dh and I have been sooooo busy. We both are trying to do school and then...well, I guess I'll just confess, I got wrappedup with our trip planning... :lol:

May parents are coming on the 22 and we are going to the beach for a couple of days. I am going to Indiana in May. Brad and I are thinking about going to Disney for Memorial day weekend. We will be leaving for London in mid-june, so we are just plain busy! :)

Anyway,,,I am just tired of work. I am getting bored. I am so ready to move and to enjoy a new challenge! I just wish I knew what that challenge was. I have been doing well on my eating I am just waiting for my Pilates to come in. Yep. I jumped on the bandwagon and ordered Pilates, too....Hopefully it will work for me to. It is a nice alternative to the gym, though.

I have to confess I haven't seen the pictures yet donna so don't take them off. I haven't had time really and haven't been online much but I will try to do just that when I finish posting cause I really want to see them. I'm glad you're back though and thank goodness we didn't get any of that snow stuff. i really do love snow but the spring weather we've had is such a teaser.

Summer what kind of car does your friend drive? It reminds me of the trouble that dh has had with the blazer. It turned out that after everything was replaced, the fuel tank was dropped and checked and afterall it turned out to be something to do with the distributor. It needed a button replaced on it that was causing gas to leak and some of it leaked into the oil and all of that together wouldn't allow it to crank when it would cut off unexplained. I'm looking foward to pool and sun weather here too. I bet you are pooped from a 3 year old party. Don't you wish you had half that energy!

Kris I really enjoy my pilates. I have found that I can't go completely through the dvd that's nearly an hour long but I've made it 45 minutes though. I do the 20 minute workout most every day. Is what you're going to school for the same thing you do at work? Once finished with school is there a door to open in that field to give you a job more fulfilling to you?

Rosey I'm thinking of you guys and praying for you. Does anyone know exactly what day he was to have surgery? Was it friday?

I took my grandma to the dr. this morning for her 6 month check up. Her blood pressure was up a little more than normal. She has high BP anyway and is on meds for it but he gave her some more medicine as well. Not long after I was at her house after the app't, the school called me on the cell and Laken had threw up at school and needed to come home. Once I got her home, she was totally fine and has been since being home.

Logan brought home a letter from the principal today. He had to go for touching a girl on the breast. The real bad news is that girls mom cuts my hair and i have an app't on monday. I don't know how she will take it but logan has known heather since before they ever got in school and he sees her as a pal or buddy and not a girl if that makes sense. Heather has a 12 yr old sister so I can see how she felt bothered by it. Logan doesn't know better. He has a twin sister and he's seen her chest before and they aren't developed so they look just like he does. Anyway, if it happens again they will file a sexual harassment report and he could be suspended from school or worse. It's rediculous to me cause he's only 8 and really doesn't see what is so bad about it. I dont' know what DH will say but I bet he will be angry with logan. I'm just dreading monday cause I don't know what the mom will say. My mom has a hair app't on friday so maybe if I talk to her before then, they can have a talk on friday and she can tell me what the mood will be. :lol:

My grandfather got his results yesterday. His cancer is only in the prostate and he's going to have 2 shots that are $1200 a piece to shrink it up some and then starting in june he's to have 42 radiation treatments. He will go 5 days straight for 8 weeks and he has to drive about 40 minutes to the place each day but it's certainly worth it.

Anyway, I hate to post and run but I haven't been home at all today and have laundry, dishes, supper etc. to do before DH gets home. Hope you all have a good evening.

Well after going back and reading I found that Rosey's Dh's surgery is tomorrow (friday) and to remind you Summer, it's a back surgery. She had said he had a bulging disc, bone spur and a genetic condition where the hole that the nerve travels through at the bugling disc area is too small. They are doing a fushion. She went on to explain that it was about a 3 month recovery period. My dad has bone spurs in his vertabrate and bulging disc, discs that have grown together due to having surgery and not replacing the cushion between them and he has his major nerve pinched by the 3 discs that have grown into one another so I completely understand what Rosey's Dh is going through. I can't imagine what it's like to have back pain day in and out or any pain that won't let up. I pray the best for them both.

Donna what ever become of your wrecked car? Did the insurance co. fix it for you? I also recall your elbow surgery is coming up on the 22nd. Are you anxious or nervous?

As for Logan and his sexual harrassment, DH was furious and it caused a LOUD arguement here. It made logan cry to know it was because of him although he didn't understand why. Being that he has a twin sister and they are a month older than the "victim" at school, Logan and Laken look very much the same in the chest area at 8 years old. I've never had a talk with him about girls development cause I felt it had nothing to do with him being a boy. He now knows it's wrong for the simple reason that it got him embarrassed of having to go to the office yet again. I can't stand Mr. Hanvey (principal) for the sole reason of the way he acts toward my other kids. The ones who have disabilities and he choses to not sit in on any school meetings to discuss them and their requirements or issues. I know he is bound by certain laws in school because he's the principal but I think I would have been a little lighter and less blunt on this issue.

I had talked to my mom lastnight and she suggested I call Laura (the girls mom who cuts my hair on monday). I haven't yet but will talk to her on monday. I'm not "suppose" to know who the girl was because the letter didn't say. Logan told me that he thinks it was that girl. That even explains even more that the child doesn't know what he did wrong. I don't know if the school said anything to that mom or if the child did so I don't want to bring it up until monday. Laura is all the time telling me things that logan did in class and it's stuff I never heard of. She told me once that he had the Heimlich maneuver (sp) for choking once and my aunt who's a teacher witnessed it and said it was nothing like that. My MIL called to ask me about it. How did she know? Well my Dh's first cousin who is MIL's neice is the God Mother to Laura's girls. This is the second year I've had to put up with this tattle telling. I may have failed to tell my boys not to touch breasts but they do not come home telling me things other kids did. :lol:

So anyway, nothing else has been said. i emailed the teacher to let her know that logan wasn't a sexual predator and didn't know anything about what he shouldn't touch. i also asked her if heather had on a necklace or something on her shirt and maybe it was a misunderstanding but I haven't heard back from her. I grew up with this teacher by the way so she has no reason to hide anything from me. She's a great friend and a mother of 2 boys. When I dropped the kids off this morning, Mr Hanvey (principal) was starring at us and watching logan. I guess he was wondering if logan had that paper signed he sent home. Well he certainly did and he better be glad I didn't write a lot on it like I had intentions of doing. I only signed the darn thing. I will let you know if I get anymore details after school today and then mama has her hair cut tomorrow and mine on monday so something is bound to be said.

Dana, so much is going on in your life right now it made my head spin reading it all. First of all I'm sorry that your Grandfather has to take the radiation but thankful it's just localized in one area. Secondly I hope that your Grandmother is doing better with her blood pressure. As for poor Logan, that is awful that all that has happened to him. I can only hope that the mother of the girl will know it was all innocent and not intended sexually. They are curious though by nature because they are human but I'm sure that in this case it was very innocent. What a nightmare this must be. I am so proud of you for keeping up with your Pilates. I absolutely love it but with my arm always aching lately I have not been exercising. The surgery will not come fast enough for me. Thanks for asking. And for my dh's car, it is still in the shop. They have had it two weeks now and I'm hoping it's done soon. They had to order parts. This is the place our insurance company told us to take it so it's all up to them! LOL :lol: We have a rental car that our insurance pays up to 25 a day for. It's just a compact car although they call it a mid-size! :rofl: It's nice to have better gas mileage though! Speaking of gas, in the Bahamas gas was 3.50 a gallon! We asked because they didn't display the cost on their signs like we do around here. We were curious! LOL Did you ever get a chance to look at my pictures, Dana? If so, I think I will delete the link soon. I was thinking later that may have not been a good idea. I should of just posted them on our yahoo group photo page.

The party has been such a issue. I just will be glad when it's over. Sometimes I wish Jim and I were both adopted! LOL :rofl: My arm has been hurting me so bad and I go to have my pre-op stuff done on Monday but the surgery is not until 22nd. I wish it was sooner. I may have to result to drugs soon. :hyper: :yes:

Donna just a quick note to let you know that i did view your pictures yesterday. They were so beautiful. I wish we had something around here that was that pretty to visit. You've been somewhere that most people can't say that they have. My cousin was lucky enough to go there on her honeymoon nearly 12 years ago. Me, I stayed home on mine. In fact, I didn't have a honeymoon. :lol: I do understand that urgency to get your arm operated on. My mil was the same way when it was her shoulder. You did remind me that I need to do my pilates today. I have the 20 minute dvd pretty much memorized so at times I get ahead of it or just do it without watching it. That way I can add more certain exercises instead of following. She seems so slow in that one but the first few days I followed her, if she had been any quicker I would have been lost.

Hi evreryone..thanks for all the prayers.. i got back to the dd late last nite and was so tired i fell into bed.. the dh was in surg for 7 1/2 hrs..when i finally got to see him he looked awful..hewas on his stomach for the surg.. and his face was swollen.. he was in alot of pain and it was hard to see him like that..becuz of the position they had him in his arms were numb and he couldnt make them work right.. they are still like that this am and the dr thinks they could come back on their own or he had a nerve problem in his neck that was undetected till it was irratated from the surg.. so now we have to worry about that..its a wait and see time :?: we are hopeing and praying that it will correct itself..im leaving for the hosp here shortely and feel better after a nights sleep..im getting my exercise at that hosp.. its huge and lots of walking..am glad the surg over..and nice to have my dd's and the sil help..dana am so sorry for what has happened with logan..hugs for you and him..you are such a good mom and handling this well..im sure logan wondering what all the fuss is about..you mentioned your dh was interested in the dog races he can access that info on the web just look up alaskan iditarod races.. they have a web site with all the info and updates..hello to summer daphnee donna kris and mr ken will up date you all soon..im abit discombobbled lately so sorry if i dont address each of you individually but ((((((((hugs )))))))))) for all rosey:wave:

Hi everyone.. i am much better.. rested and ready to go to the hosp this am.. i am very comfortable leaving dh with hosp staff.. they are awsome..i talked to the dr and the feelings comming back in the dh arms what a relief.. and they are going to get him on his feet today((((((ouch))))))hes doing well.. they have him on some great painmeds and hes snoring away most of the time..i miss being at home in my own environment but my kids are taking good care of me..hope all is well with each of you.. im sure getting my exercise.. this hosp is huge and i have managed to stay on pts even here..maybe i will loose while here.. that would be agood thing :lol: thinking about you all ((((((hugs)))))))) rosey:wave:

Rosey thank goodness things are turning around for your DH. I certainly have been praying for him and his recovery and I will certainly keep it up. For you an your family as well. Hopefully you can catch up on some rest while he's in the hospital before having to bring him home and doing it all yourself. I hope he can be as good as new and thank goodness his arms are getting some feeling back in them. I'm glad your kids are there to take care of you too rather than having to try to sleep in the hospital.

There's not much to report here really but one exciting thing, I checked my arrest record just a few minutes ago and where it was 3 pages long about 10 days ago, it's all cleared now. I filled out the paper and gave it to brett and told him to turn it in to the teacher in the morning to make it official. We have meeting tomorrow evening about the field trip so hopefully we can have all details down pat. Maybe they can even give us some brochures about where all we're going or something. I have to get my hair cut in the morning but looking foward to getting it cut again cause the top is getting to long for me. I'm not sure if I'm looking foward to talking to the mom who does my hair or not. :lol: Well I'm going back to watch the race, my guy is doing much better this week. He's on the prowl and he was in 4th place last I looked. :)

I had to take care of Bert for a few days..The lady that stays with her had to go out of town..Me and her other sister have been taking turns.. I dont stay there at night but I make sure she has eaten and is in bed and comfortable then I went back real early in the am... I am pooped...Had to go the the store and do some errands today....
Have more Dr.'s appointments this week with Jim..
I guess its none stop for awhile....

I am so sorry that Logan is going throught all of this..Its SOOOOOOOO unecessary..Poor little guy..I am sure he is upset over it and it sounds like the principal is no help. You are such a great Mother I know that you will get him through this. It is real sad to me that the principal has attitude about Special Needs children. That would NEVER be tolerated in the school system here..We have one of the best school programs in the US for Special Needs children..I think he should be reported to the state for not being reciptive to the needs of children with special needs..I am sorry that you had to go through all of this.
I sure hope that the lady ( Hairdresser ) will be understanding about all of this..After all these are elementry children and I DO NOT beleive that any sexual intent was there..Kids are kids at this age...I have my fingers :crossed: that things all work out..

Glen sorry about that 1.3 loss but for you we know that this next week will be even bigger! 1.3 a week is sorta my life story. Every week too.

I had my hair cut this morning. We talked about the "sexual harrassment" issue and she was shocked that it seemed to have been blown up on my end. She didn't know that I got a letter or that the principal used the words sexual harrassment with logan or even used the word "breast". What happened actually was they were playing tag in PE and when he tagged her it was "on her boob" as the girl said but she was giggling about it with another child while they were eating lunch. It's nothing unusual for these 2 girls to chase logan around and evidently one was jealous of the attention and it was the other child (sarah) who told on logan. Heather didn't know anything was wrong with that. Laura (childs mothers) said that when heather got in the car that day she was about in tears and told her that sarah got logan in trouble today and she didn't mean for it to happen. It's all ok now and laura said she didn't think anything of that with them being in 3rd grade and she told heather, "why didn't you tell miss know it all to mind her business?" Anyway, i'm real close to writing to the school board about it to be sure it's cleaned up and no one thinks badly of logan. I'm also considering going above the heads of the people here and telling the state board how I feel. They are down in columbia (state capital). I'm really fed up with the arrogant principal that we have.

We have our meeting tonight about the details of the trip. I am looking foward to this trip in one way but will be glad when it's over too. I'm really ready to go camping around here. It's cloudy here but we had a nice weekend. Didn't do anything but i did go to church yesterday.

Rosey I hope things are progressing right along for you guys. Any word on when you may be sent back home?

Summer I hope things smooth over for you too. That is just so sweet of you staying with bert. I hope you get that surgery app't to work out for you so yall can get that last hurdle over. Then you better not have to go through anything else. You've been through more together than most couples ever see in a marriage. How has your weather been? I have a friend in ohio who says they are calling for 6 inches of snow tomorrow and that sounds unreal being that OH isn't THAT far from here and we've been in the 60's. It's kinda showery here today though with clouds.

Well I hope that everyone else is trucking along for a monday. i haven't gotten anything done but glad my hair got cut. Next on the agenda is after the meeting this evening, I have to figure out what to pack on the trip and how to take up as little packing space as possible. (i normally take the kitchen sink on trips). As most of you remember, 2 years ago I took my computer to the beach. :lol:

Hi everyone.. its me rosey :coffee: am heading for the hosp soon.. we stay till 9pm or so and get the dd settled for the nite and then its an hr. drive to the dd home..he was so drugged yesterday that he didnt even know i was there.. i hate seeing him like that..they had him up earlier with a walker and showered etc..and changed his pain meds from a morphine pump to a patch that lasts 72 hr.. something new..i tried to feed him but he was so out of it he forget to chew :?: i was scared hed choke.. anyways the dr said hes doing well.. they took alot of his tubes out..dont know when we will be home as he has to be able to walk and do steps on his own..thankyou for all the prayers..it means so much..mr glen am sorry for your gain..next week will be better..summer you are so helpful to people am glad you are in my life..dana..am sorry logan having that trouble..aalso talking to the mother was a smart thing todo and made you feel better..i agree they are making a mt. out of mole hills..how did your hair turn out??daphnee thanks for the kind words..havent been to wall mart yet but its there calling my name :lol: ..donna. have you recovered from your vacation??when will you have your arm fixed??..Kris what are you up to..or should i say where are you headed now..its sounds like fun doing all that traveling but ill bet youd like more at home time :lol: I know i miss my routine..shreree hope you are ok we havent heard from you in awhile..its almost time for me to leave will give you updates..it snowed last nite so not sure how the roads are..(((((((hugs )))))))for all ..by the way if you have wendys try there new spinach chicken salad..its great..not sure of the pts but its salad so cant be bad :dizzy: rosey :wave:

I joined E-tools yesterday and it makes it a lot easier to choose what to eat. I have 6 points left tonight and know that I have to have more fruits/veges and dairy. Kinda hard with no milk in the house for me!:lol: I just really don't feel like cheese tonight. Terry will be back again tomorrow to work on the shop roof still. OK he has been here going on 2 weeks now. Well he is here off and on. Point is I want my house to myself. I want to take a nap and I can't. I want to take a shower hmmm not with a man working outside! I want to walk my treadmill and do my exercise tapes. No to that as well with him here. I really hope that tomorrow is the last day.

Hello Everyone...
I am sorry but I have been real busy..and fighting a cold too....Yesterday I tried to play catch-up to my house..I did alot of spring cleaning cause I am not sure about Jim's surgery and I wanted to get alot done..before he is down and I cant..
I am pooped...:lol:..We saw the Dr today and all of Jim's Scans and chest xrays are good..Thats a relief..Tomorrow we go to the surgeon for a consultation about the hernia operation..You would think I would be old pro at this by now..but I am nervious..I wish I wasnt but I am. I always worry about things going wrong and all..I guess I am just a worry wort..
It was really nice yesterday but today was rainey and cold. This weather has been crazy...They got snow north of us and alot of it...Unreal... I am so glad that we didnt get any....I hope that warm weather is on its way back here soon.....
I will have a busy week..Thursday I am taking Bert out for a her birthday lunch and I will take Buddy to lunch Friday..It seems everything comes at once for me :lol:..Buddy seems to be better right now so I thought I would get him out before they start up with Chemo again..not sure about that just a guess and it just happens to be the week of Berts birthday..Saturday I am going to see My friends son that lives in a group home. He is Down syndrome and he is 30 years old. I have known him ever since he was a baby. In fact I took her and him to Childrens hospital when they did open heart surgery on him at 3 years old and said he would not live past 19..and he is 30 now..He is a delight..He is so sweet and loving.. I take him to lunch when I can.. He looks forward to that..and he is such a Sweetie..So this week is none stop for me.. Maybe next week I can relax...Its a thought..:lol:...

Rosey.. I am so glad to hear that Steve is doing good. I know its hard to see him that way and that he is so out of it. I am sure you do worry about it all.
It will get better..I am happy that you are not alone that you have you DD to stay with and she is there to help. I hope that the roads arent bad with the snow and all.. Please Be careful out there...

I would make sure that they change the report about Logan.. I dont blame you for making sure of that. He doesnt need that to follow him later in life especially when its not true at all and they jumped the gun with out getting all the facts about it...To even call it sexual harresment was so wrong..

I am watching as much as I can.. Hi everyone..its me rosey..checking in to see what you all have been up to..donna.. am so sorry you are in pain..can you take something for it?? hope the surg goes well and im thinking about you..summer i can relate to being nervous about jims surg.. hang in there he will sail thru this too am thinking of you both and got your hand too..kris.. am sorry you had an argument hope it resovles we are here for you..mr ken..whats up?? are you having a lighter week??daphnee.. i would be uncomfortable too with astrange man outside.. one morning(not dressed yet) i heard someone outside and looked out the window..its low and i had to bend over well the meter man had areal good view of my upper body if ya get my drift..i was embarassed and he was laughing..kinda funny but not..i was in a nite gown but still i wonder what he thought :lol: dana.. am going to michaels today and wallmart its the only day i can go with everyones schedules.. am going to check out the kol stamp stuff..will share when i post again..well (((((((hugs for all)))))))..its been a rough couple of days.. the dh was overmedicated and seeing things that werent there so they quit all his pain meds for a day and he was miserable..they got him up walking and later last night they gave him some new and diff meds..hopefully they will work.. the staff has been great..but its upsetting to see him so dillusional(sp??)he didnt even know who i was..and tried to get out of bed by himself.. they put an alarm on him so they could be there in a flash until he was more lucid..we are heading there shortly..sure hope his head is normal today :?: am going to run a few errands too and have lunch away from the hosp..and then go back later in the day and stay till hes sleeping for the night..yes im tired but hanging in there..the long walk to his rm is getting easier and i discovered i had a collar bone :lol: who knew :lol: daphnee you asked what ive been eating and i pack my own lunch..usually lo carb yougart..bannas..cheese and a few crackers etc.. then have meat and salad for supper.. also have had that new wendys spinacj salad.. dont know its pts but its yummy..will check tomorrow.. rosey:wave:

Rosey you talking about Steve hallucinating reminded me when Jim was in ICU. The pain medication (morphene) really was scary for him. He still can remember being scared. I hope you have better days ahead and keep us up to date.

Summer, was wondering how the appt. with the surgeon went.

My surgery is Monday and I am taking more and more advil and even took a pain pill from my gall bladder surgery and it did not do any good but make me more agitated. It will be over soon.

Hi everyone..just a breif post as i have to be at the hosp early tomorrow as my sil has to be to work by 6am and im riding with him..am really tired.. today was another stressful one..first they overmedicate him and then today they undermedicated him..was sad to see him in so much pain..but this evening when we left he was finally comfortable..and he was lucid and knew who i was so thats progress..tomorrow will be better..(((((((((hugs)))))))))))rosey:wave:

Hello Everyone.. Sorry that I havent been in here..Its been along couple of days..We went to the surgeon yesterday..He said Jim HAD to LOSE atleast 35 pounds before he would do the surgery. He said that this type of hernia would come back if he tried to fix it now. He would have to do it over again soon. Its called a post surgery hernia.. I think I am saying that right..Anyway...its from the type of surgery he had and because he is a big guy the surgeon said this happens in 85 percent of people that are Jim's size.
He gave him untill July to lose 35 pounds....He has to wear another Abdominal Binder and I have been all over trying to find one big enough to fit him. The last one he had ripped because it was really to small..You would think that the surgeon's office could order one..Nope...I have to find it myself..So much for thier help.. Jim is upset over all of this and I have to try to keep calm and do whats needed..The losing weight is really a good thing but what upsets him is the time limit.. I told him that was just a hopeful time..so now have to really watch every bite he eats and this is gonna be a very difficult time for me..
I sure hope that I can rise to this challenge... I have to for both our sakes..
I am going to the Gym and see about us joining..We cant really afford it but we have no choice now...I had it all worked out with joining the gym untill we got notice of Condo fee's going up and taxes too in April...but where theres a will theres a way..

Jim had a real bad reaction to Diuladid..I am not sure if I spelled it right but it almost stopped him from breathing. Its a pain killer.. I insisted that they take him off of that and put him on Morphine..He had morphine with open heart surgery and was Ok.. Everyone reacts different to meds..I know that you must be wore out form al of this stress....I still have your
