Here we go again!!Yesterday I did healthy eating from Phil's book and when I calculated the points it was only 18. But I didn't have enough protein and 1-2 too many carbs. But it makes my head think differently. I also joined the health club at a nearby hotel. What a beautiful facility-nicer than the Y and quiet. brad might join with me. My insurance will pay for some-33 a month for on or 52 for 2. And we could get back 300 from Blue Cross. Not bad. But my legs hurt-I was up on a ladder washing windows and swimming-don't know which got me. Weigh in today-don't feel lighter-Walls in hall almost done, making way for carpenter, then painting, rug, tile. Picked it out already. Teal walls, dark teal rug, and white tile. Red Sox lost-Michael wants Marlins and Sox to win so he can go to World Series in FL, Happy Friday everyone. Mima

Mima....teal sounds pretty and I am rooting for the Cubs!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the second year the lady bugs have been really bad. They like to hang by the light on the ceiling as you come in the back door and it is very high up so hard to reach all the little critters:eek:

Made my son a new Choc chip:cookie: recipe to mail to him but I ate way too many. This is a really rich and gooey recipe and you add a tsp of lemon juice to keep the cookies soft. They make like a 3-4 inch cookie but they are about 6 pts apiece:yikes:

I die for chocolate chip cookies. Congrats Joanne-a pound is good, I lost half a pound and I only have 1 3/4 to go. I am a turtle!!!But I didn't walk last week because of sciatica. Now my legs are killing me because of the ladder-never again. Taking my step-grandaughter to the apple orchard today. I found Speedo bathing suits at the mall nearby-on sale, I like them for the pool. Walls are finished-carpenter can come back next week. We get some ladybugs-more last year. Have a great weekend everyone. Mima

I'm back. I was glad to get home! I'm sure you guys know how I'm feeling after a week away from my bed. I made the trip down pretty good actually ... better than I thought I would. The condo was great. Really clean and furnished nice. The kids LOVED it! Their room was so sweet ... twin beds done in bright colors and they had their own bathroom. We had a big living room - dining room & kitchen all open and sliding doors opening to a huge terrace overlooking the ocean with sliding doors opening on it from mine and hubby's room next to the living room, too. Our room had a big walkin closet and large bathroom with whirlpool tub. The unit had three bedrooms & baths and a utility room with full size washer and dryer. There was an indoor and outdoor pool and whirlpool and we were right on the beach. It only rained one day and we went shopping that day. I'm afraid I over extended myself, though. I knew I would with the kids along. I tend to 'help out' too much! Daughter is already planning NEXT year! :p I'm not so sure! Baby Jenna was about to cry when we took them home ... we asked her what was wrong and she said she was sad because she wouldn't be seeing Meme and Papa every day any more! She wouldn't hardly let me out of her sight. She came in our room with her doll one night and I asked her what she was doing. She said, "I going to seep wif youse." I said, "I think not! I think youse going to seep in youse own bed!" and took her back to her room! ;) Ross did really well while we were gone. We only had a couple of 'episodes' with him all week! His new meds are working better but one bad side effect is they have decreased his appetite and he sure didn't need that! They're wonderful kids but they sure do tire me out!

I've read your posts and caught up on what's going on with you. Sorry about your dog, Candice ... I can sympathize! It's a hard decision! Congrats to all of you who are losing! I don't know if I've lost or gained ... feels like I've probably stayed close to the same. Congrats on the anniversary Anagram and hello to everyone I've missed. I'll try to do better next time. I'm tired and it's past bedtime! Hope your Aunt is better Ally!

Welcome back Meme-sure sounds like a nice place-my kind of place too. I took my big city step-grandaughter to the apple orchard yesterday-she had no idea that you picked the apples off the ground-she had to inspect every apple twice-but we had fun. Then we had to get a birthday present for her dad and it was good-she takes so long to make decisions. It was so beautiful out and the leaves were gorgeous. Gotta go make breakfast-I had fried fish last night-takeout-and an apple dumpling -yum-that will have to be my treat for a week. Have a nice day and boo the Red Sox and Yanks for their bad behavior!!!But I do want the Sox to win. Mima

Glad you fared better than expected, Meme. I know the mixed emotions though about "next year". Love to be with the kids but much more tiring than just the two of us.

Safely back from helping out with my darlings while there Daddy was in Egypt. Loved the time with them, tired. So dh and I took a "vacation" at our own resort here the last few days. Went to a Punkinfest today and an OcTUBAfest yesterday - beautiful weather and lots of walking done. Very relaxing.

Back to business in the morning, though. Hope to finish most of the stuff for the lawyer this week and move on to other things. Found an outfit for nephew's wedding. Another big goal met.

Big goal coming up - for first time in a year, dh has a golf game set up for Tuesday. I've sort of been thinking that until he's back to golf I won't consider him "well". Actually, I know he'll never be "well" again truly but it's a part of our "normal" that I'd like him to have back. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi all. Well, I survived another Thanksgiving. I am very full. Didn't have turkey as hubby isn't crazy about it, but had a beautiful Roast Beef with roasted veggies and salad. For dessert we had Pumpkin Pie and a Pear Pie - both we excellent. Had dinner at my daughter's house this year - first time in forever that I have not had to cook dinner. However, tomorrow, they are all coming here for brunch, so I guess I will be busy and I am tired. Had my grand daughter staying with us on Saturday and until we went to her house for dinner today. She is such a good little gal. Love to have her, but I am not used to playing with kids and they have a LOT of energy. I will survive. Think I may have to go to the chiro. this next week. My last treatment has lasted over 7 weeks and this is great.

Meme - so glad you had a good holiday.

Anagram - glad you got to enjoy a "mini" holiday around home.

Mimi - The teal sounds nice. Love that color. Hope it all gets finished for you quickly now. It must be like living in a whole new house soon.

Candice - Hope you are feeling better.

I have been on Diflucan for 5 weeks now, and FINALLY I MUST be getting rid of some of the yeast. It has gone systemic and I believe it is from the cortisone shots. That is what the Dermatologist told me. Cortisone causes yeast to multiply very rapidly. Anyway, my sweet tooth has disappeared and I no longer crave sugar. Maybe now, I can start to lose some of the weight I want to lose. With an over abundance of yeast, your body will not let go of anything. I sure hope this is true.

I hope you all have a great day tomorrow.

Baby Jenna wanted Meme to make her a 'paper' with her picture at the beach on it so she could take it to show her friends at preschool tomorrow how much fun she had on vacation ... So I just made her a picture page on the internet and printed it out for her. I let her pick out 5 of her favorite pictures to go on it. She picked out one pool picture, two of the dolphin cruise we went on and two of her at the beach. Here is her page if you are interested.

Good morning-what a rainy day yesterday-didn't do much-game got rained out too which is good because the worst pitcher was going to pitch. Meme-you are so smart to make that web page. My son has all his pictures on a page and it's so grat to see them from far away. Happy Thansgiving, Anne. Glad you got some rest, Anagram and some relaxation. Golf isn't too strenuous when you have a cart and it's fun. I am having a party for Brad in November but I don't think the stairway will be done but carpenter is coming this week and he's going to paint too. He's ao dependable-he'll show up every day til it's done. And Pastor is going to tile and he's a perfectionist and hard worker. 3 weeks to the party!!But it has given me an incentive to clean and then I'll be cleaned before FL. It's beautiful out today. Happy Thanksgiving! Happy.. Sounds like you had a great weekend. Still hot here. I hear that the areas in the north are really pretty now.
I had a busy weekend and now I have to get down to the business of thinking about the coming holidays. I think we will spend Thanksgiving at my daughters.
I always plan to start my Christmas buying early and don't always do it. It is so difficult to buy for the adults . I don't want to get something they have so I guess I will just have to go looking and be nosey .
Busy day.. I just wanted to say Hello . ...Joanne

Hi Guys....
I don' know what supplement comes with your Sunday papers but ours was about stress. And the first section was on MS and lupus. And there is a connection between stress and these autoimmune disorders. They said that some people go four to five years with a diagnosis like Fibro before they discover that it is something else. Scares me. It said to document flareups, times when it is better etc. I am still in one heck of a flare up. Had to help my aunt on Sat and almost lost her wheelchair trying to get her up a ramp. I just have no energy.
Nice fall day today, did get in a walk outside.

I get tested and so far, no lupus. The Red Sox won and I was smart enough not to stay up. I went to the pool yesterday but there were too many people. Still was nice but it's not a big pool so had to avoid people doing laps. Maybe try the water aerobics ONCE. To see. Carpenter coming today-we don't even have all the stuff. But we will. I have been doing the healthy eating plan but I eat too many carbs, not enough protein and veggies. When I add my points-I'm under. Problem-can't eat raw vegetables. I'll figure it out. I do love my carbs. Tomorrow I have to have a fasting blood test for cholesterol med but then I'm going out to breakfast with friends-then to massage. Not a bad morning. Hi everyone-Go Red Sox!!!and Cubs. Mima

I know what you mean Mima- I love the carbs too. But, I have not eaten any for the past month. I bought The SBD book and have been faithful to the diet. Lost only 6 lbs and have not gone off tract but once. I am really disappointed. I am not as bloated though and have been more or less satisfied with what I am eating. My points have been under all the time with the exception of once or twice. They say you don't need to count points on this eating plan...I still do.
OK. Girls I am relying on you to give me some good advice????You would think I would have lost more.
I walked yesterday. My regular route. I didn't sleep all night. I don't think there was a joint in my body that didn't hurt. Didn't even give it a thought today. Maybe tomorrow.
Meme- I'm glad you had a good vacation. I bet you were glad to get home though.
Ally- Hope you are feeling better by now.
Anagram- It was good to hear your hubby is doing well enough to golf. How did he do?
Candice,..Hello. We have the lady bugs down here too. I read where they will get rid of the aphids on your plants. My son had a real problem with them in one of his houses. My daughter hasn't complained about them yet this year. They were bad last year.

There were lots of ladybugs in the windowsill when I washed them yesterday. Finally done with the windows. We went to Home Depot and got tile, paint, and ordered carpeting, which will take one month to get done-hoping for it done before the party-oh well. I am drinking black coffee because of the blood test. Then a good breakfast. It's is raining terribly here-Candice-boohoo for both our teams yesterday. You never know in these playoffs. My right leg hurts but I ate ice cream last night and I get pains from milk products. Have a great day. Mima

Ally, our paper had that article. Have saved it to reread it at a more concentrated moment.

Had another good day today. Waked in blustery wind today in the park and had done pool yesterday. May not be losing weight but am changing lots of bad habits for good ones.

Have some business to tend up in the mountains so we're making it an outing tomorrow with a good lunch and lots of peeking at all the colored trees - not even at peak here yet. Late this year but that's ok as long as I get to enjoy them.

That sounds like fun Anagram. I love looking at the leaves and ours are peak. Supposed to walk with my aunt today but I don't feel like going out-it takes 45 minutes to get there. I had to go out yesterday and the day before and tomorrow, Enough whining!!!! Ally-tell me to shut up. Well the Red Sox won but the poor Cubs didn't. My son wanted the Marlins sop he can go to the World series. Bye for now. Mima

I've got a bug ... and not a lady bug either! It's a killer bug! Jenna caught a cold while we were on vacation and got so hoarse for a couple of days she could barely talk and I'm sure I got it from her - little bugger was in my face every minute of every day. Paula said she thought she was getting it before she left for Nashville yesterday, she already had the headache and scratchy throat. Hubby came home last night and said his head felt 'funny' so looks like we will all have it. I've had it all week and I have had Ross every day this week plus last night and tonight, too ... school is on 2 wk. break and since Paula is out of town for 2 days his Dad can't handle 2 kids (wimp). I started out with a headache, then my eyes and nose started running, then all of a sudden I just couldn't talk - almost completely lost my voice, then just started hurting all over (more than usual), ran a slight temp and just feel generally miserable (more than usual)! :p

Meme, my daughter had that a couple of weeks ago. She was the Maid of Honor in a wedding and could not talk. Someone else had to read her speech for her. She had a terrible cough, headache and fever as well. Ashley had something similar and of course, her hubby got it as well.

I hardly ever get sick. The last time was about 4 years ago. I got a whopper of a cold. My husband rarely gets sick either.

You guys are so good at walking and being good.

Happy ...I read somewhere that after a certain age we don't catch things as quick. Of course if I do it is always a dusey.I am not out in the field of working people as often and that has a lot to do with it. When I worked I was sick all the time.Of course in the medical field you are exposed to just about everything...

Go play with the kitten for awhile. This is cute.

Go to this site (link is below) to see something great!

If you tease the cat with the mouse pointer on her chest or stomach she will purr,
she will meow also, by rubbing her forehead with the pointer.

If you make a slow circle around her body, not only will her head/eyes follow the cursor, but toward the top, her paw will go up, and when in front of her paws at the bottom, her foot comes out like she wants to play with your mouse pointer.

Brad did his bllod sugar today and it was 91-we are going to be cutting back on carbs because of his diabetes and he thought it was a little high the other day. Sorry Anagram. The older we get, the more bad news we hear. My sister-in-laws father is doing much better. that's good new-A while back they ghad to bring him back 4 times-he now has a pacemaker. Mima- With the exception of a half banana or apple a couple times a week and a couple pieces of cake that was sugar free and low cal I have avoided the carbs. I like them so much I am afraid to start eating them . I want to get below my goal before I do.If your Brad has sugar problems he should concider not eating carbs. They just turn into surgar.
I walked for 40 min. yesterday. We drove out to the beach and I just walked the circle of the parking lot. There are a number of people who do that..It is a nice place to do that.
You must visit Tarpon Springs sometime .It is a nice place with a lot of history.

Hi Guys. In my neighborhood, they let you throw out large household items once a year and that would be this weekend. As I sit here there are trucks and vans of "pickers" driving up and down the street going through my junk. NO one seems to want my kid's bunk beds. They are very beat. But everyone looks at them.
Just thinking that my weight is in my waist. That is new. I went to a shower today feeling fat. These are my exinlaws who I stay in contact with but only see once in a great while. They say I look the same...but I feel fatter. It is in my waist and chest. Makes me feel stuffed!!

You got it Ally-that's where it goes. I am almost to goal and I still have 2 tummies. Exercise is supposed to help. I am glad that the Yankees lost last night. Maybe they will lose in Game 7. Brad thinks that the Red Sox and the Cubs should have their own playoff. That would be great. they both deserved to win. Right Candice. My daughet is coming over to go to church with me today. Then for lunch. I am feeling better but stuffy. Could have been sinus because I didn't sneeze. We went for Chinese and I has some Hot and sour soup. Good medicine for sinuses. It's supposed to be wet snow here. Haha!! Mima

Starting over Monday is the story of my life.

I think I'm going to try the Atkin's Protein thing again. I did pretty good on it at the beginning of the summer - sounds like you're doing great, Joanne!!! My d-i-l is on it ... my son lost 35 pounds on it at the beginning of the year so I know it works if you stick with it! (the if is my problem...:p )

Thought I was getting over this cold but now it feels like it's coming back! It takes me so long to get over any kind of infection, guess it's the low blood - immunity thing! Then, too, we had a picnic at church yesterday and I was outside in the cool air from 3 to 7 ... probably should have stayed home!

When Ross saw Jenna's 'vacation' page he had to have one, too. His school starts back tomorrow so I made him one and printed it out for him today so he could take it with him tomorrow. He picked out his pictures and told me what to write. Here's his if you're interested.

IMima- It has been a nice day here in Fl. I went on my walk as usual. I still keep challenging the 3 miles. A long hot soak after supper was the thing. I might survive the rest of the evening..I hate waking up so early in the A.M. It makes the day so long. I find so many more things that need doing and wear myself out..

I had 2 naps yesterday. And I didn't feel that great but today I am ok. Going to try the water aerobics very carefully. Then I'll probably sleep til tutoring. It's warm out for one day only-more snow tomorrow, Worried about daughter-she has 2 spots on her tongue and dentist said to go to an oral surgeon. Bye for now. Mima

Mima- I sure hope the oral surgeon finds nothing to worry about. Is she a smoker? I know how it is when one of our children get something medically wrong. We worry ,sometimes, more than they do.
Exercising in the water sounds wonderful. Eleni told me of a ymca that might be opening in the future. That would be nice if they had a pool and classes for the seniors.
Meme- Try the SBD. It is a little better health wise. I find that I can tolerate it and still feel that it is balanced. No carbs for 2 weeks ,then you can add some fruit next two weeks. I have added very little. You aren't supposed to have bananas but I am on lasix and after a night of leg cramps I do add about one or 2 a week.

Hi everyone. When they have that Y , they might have exercises for arthritis, Joanne. The class was great-I had a little pain in my ribs but then it went away, Going to chiro today so I will have him work on it. Teacher was good-I explained about my limitations. I did eat half a doughnut last night-and it wasn;t even that good. Make sure you get your potassium . Joanne. Daughter's white spots went away by themselves-hope its nothing. DIL says the doc says the baby 's spine LOOKS fine. Tests on the 3rd of Nov-I'll be glad when they are over. They need a healthy baby although I wouldn't trade Alison for anything-just feel bad for what she goes through. She is going to be upset if it's not a girl, she says. Brad is sick-wonder where he got it. Ha!Poor guy. Bye for now-it's going to snow tonight. Mima

Well, so much for the water aerobics-had the pain in my ribs bad and chiro said it's a piece of cartilage that pops out and takes a long time to heal-it's been 3 years. But I can swim. It's snowing!!But not sticking to the roads. Going to get my flu shot today and walk with Auntie, I had a Dr. Phil protein bar for lunch yesterday brcause I was at the mall. It was good but 2 bucks-course a Wendy's salad is 4. Of course I had a lemon doughnut in the morning at Dunkin's. Yummy-got that over with. Hi everyone. Mima

Good MOrning.

Mima sorry that the water areobics don't work for you. I can do them some times, and other times NOT. Haven't been for awhile. Takes so darn long to heal. I think that is funny that you are living way South of me and you have snow already. Might get some sleet tomorrow, they say. I REALLY don't like that.

I am tired today. I had to go back to Red Deer yesterday to see my Dr. (still haven't changed to one in Edmonton, but MUST do that soon). I have a sinus infection and inner ear infection. I don't feel sick at all, but my ear aches a bit and my sinus's were giving me trouble. On antibiotics for 10 days.

Meme - I hope that you have gotten back on Atkins. I think that is what I am going to do as well. Will look at the South Beach Diet and see what the difference is. I think, basically, it is lower fat, but not sure. That would work better with me not having a Gallbladder.

Joanne - keep on walking! You are doing so well with your walking and your diet. I hope I have your resolve. I think some of this yeast problem is getting under control (well it was, but now I have to take antibiotics, so that will probably flare it up again) I have been on a course of Diflucan and it seems to be helping. My sugar cravings are pretty well gone. So perhaps this time when I get going, I will be successful. Wish me luck, because I am going to need it.

Ally - I hope you are getting over that flare and that your aunt is getting better. It can be very stressful having to look after someone when you have a medical problem yourself. Don't forget to take time out just for yourself.

Hi Anagram and Candice - Where the heck are you?

Happy-Do you eat Yogart? Good for yeast infections. Yes I enjoy the walking. Not the pain that goes with it though. Every step hurts. I can't give in to it though. I do manage to clear my mind and it does calm my nerves. I am a hyper person and the walks are needed therepy.I think the South Beach Diet is better than Adkins...More healthy...

I love the sugar free fudgicles-they satisfy the craving. I went for a walk yesterday but I was freezing.Stayed cold all day but I just had my flu shot yesterday morning. I too think that South Beach is much healthier but I do think you need to add some carbs back in when you can. I believe in a balanced diet-listen to me , the carb addict. But those carbs should be complex-not like doughnuts!Ha! That was probably the first one in a year so don't worry. And I was good yesterday. Go Marlins-I want them to beat the Yanks who beat us-Say in the 11th inning of the last game with a home to break the tie. Weigh in today. Probably no loss. Bye for now. Mima-Meme-Brad is sick too!!!Got it from me.

I do plan on adding some carbs..But, not till I reach my KOPS goal.. I crave them so I add a fruit and fudgesycles(S/F),just not often. I have always been afraid to eat out . I have a fear of not eating right. No will power. I am starting to test myself. Golden Corral was a challenge last week and I did good...
I see by the weather station that it is snowing up there. It is still in the 80's here. Just not so humid which makes it nice.
No TOPS meeting this week. The room was needed for a book sale. I may go down there later today. I can't resist these things. My house gets over run with books and then I have to start giving them away. My daughter gets them and then her friends. So for 25-50 cents we all enjoy them.

Hi Guys!! I decided that I would try eating organic foods starting Monday. I only start new things on MOnday so that gives me a few more days to stuff in everything I will tell myself I can't eat later. Like cookies, candy etc. I have not bought Halloween candy yet...was afraid I would eat it.
I have been reading about preservatives and additives in food and one article said that you ought to try to limit these as much as you can for a few weeks and see if you feel the difference.
I am trying to get out of this flareup. Did have to take my aunt to her cardiologist this week. He just readjusted Lasix and wants her back in two weeks. We have a different doc to see next week. This could be a full time job....

I have that job with my in-laws and I can never get it through to them to NOT set up their appointments on Monday or Tuesday because those are the days that I teach. They will do it EVERY single time!!! It makes me so mad. Then hubby hates to make them reschedule. His mom is having cataract surgery next month and sure enough ... she set it up for a Tuesday. I just told him NO. I said she has a whole month ... she can just change it to Thursday. Those are the two days he does surgery. He called her and told her to change it. I guess it's because I work at home but I get so tired of the whole family acting like I don't work and I'm available to babysit or take them to the Dr. anytime they need me ... I can just cancel lessons anytime I want!

Sorry ... didn't mean to gripe! :p

That is so frustrating Meme-especially when you told them. Perhaps if they change it enough times they will remember-give them a calendar with every Monday and Tuesday crossed out. My rib keeps going in spasms. And I have so much to do. Guy is going to start painting next week and then party is next Sunday. I turtled at TOPS-Joanne, we are in a race for KOPS=I might beat you this week because I am going to have a colonoscopy. I shouldn't say beat you-I hope you get it real soon. I am writing my points down again-don't do well without it. Bye for now Mima

Mima- When I had my colnoscopy I thought that was good for a pound ot two. Heck the scale didn't go down at all!I won't make it this week. The scale moves really slow for me..
Meme- What you have to do is go in the office when they are setting up the appointment and regulate the days yourself. I have been there and done that. Even my hubby,I don't let him make appt. He will mess it up every time.
Ally- I agree about the foods. We don't have any idea what pesticides are put on the food we buy. I have been to some of the organic food markets. The only thing is the veggies didn't look all that fresh. And the price was really high.Good luck. Don't eat all the stuff in the house, give it away.I bought candy and so far it hasn't been opened. I will be in trouble when it is..

I do that when I'm at the office with them, it's when they make appointments over the phone when they always make them for Mon. or Tues.

My cold/whatever was getting better (once again) and I went shopping for Kaylyn's BD party yesterday (it's today at 5:30) and now I'm feeling miserable again. Seems I just can't lick this one. I can't believe she will be 6 on Tuesday. They are growing up too fast! :( She wanted roller blades. I got them for her - she'll probably break her neck! :p I also got her the Swan Lake Barbie movie, doll and unicorn and a black and fuchsia velvet outfit! (Have to keep her a little girl as long as possible!) :D I kind of dread the party and all the noise - my head feels like it's down in a well or something.

Don't feel bad about venting Meme.....you can only be the nice guy so long and then you feel taken for granted or taken advantage of. I was getting lots of calls and even gas money from my cousin when my aunt was in the hospital. That was guilt. Now they have to know that I am the one doing all this transporting and I hear nothing. My aunt is sweet and appreciative but she doesn't know how to get two appointments scheduled in one day.... That is a two hour drive one way.
Anyway.....I am sooooo achy today. I guess all that crap I have eaten in the last two weeks has caught up with me...
And yes, I think organic food is more expensive. We still have some road side stands with veggies, will have to try that route.

I have been so bad and feeling down some days due to the pain..just so super sensitive to all outer stimuli and still having puter problems to boot! Did get my two china cabinets cleaned out, took two days of carring stuff to the kitchen sink and washing and drying and then putting it all back, need more room too. Still cleaning up ladybugs too, the cat sits in the window and watches them.

My son in med school is having a rough time with two of his classes, just hope he does not get to stressed out, he sounds really upset, we just try to encourage him. Kids.........will always be our babies I guess!

Got my flu shot this week.......

My shoulder and neck hurt so gotta go do some stetches to see if that will help...sorry to be such a downer, Baking would cheer me up and I have some new recipes to try but don't want to eat it all I ate too many homemade caramels:eek: I got at the craft mall I would just like to beable to eat anything and not gain or feel pain........but this will never happen so the battle of the buldge continues! DR. Phill would tell me I obsese over what I eat but if I didn't I would be very unhealthy. Getting old is just no fun! that darn metabolism!

I have been feeling down too Candice, all I think about is getting ready for next week. I am doing my points again. I also have to eat more fruit because I do not get those veggies in. Beautiful girl, Meme. You have beautiful grandchildren. I watched the World Series last night. It was worth seeing the Yankees faces when it was over. Those Marlins are something. Painting starts tomorrow, Can't wait to see it. Teal with white woodwork, teal carpet and white tile on the bottom. My rib acts up every night-spasms. I'm tired from only getting 6 hours sleep-nap today. Mima

Candice.....Medical school is brutal. My brother got his MD through the army. They sent him to med school at George Washington University, but then he owed the government 5 years as a Doc. He had me read this funny irreverant book called "House of God"....he said it was close to reality. It was funny but it was also about the torture of classes, then being a resident and working 48 hours without sleep. I would not want to go through that....I think Docs deserve to make good money after you realize what they go through. But they also have a chip on their shoulder for the rest of their lives, and that may be why they stop taking the time to listen to us.
