Aortic or thoratic aneurysm

My grandmother and my mother both had Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms. My grandmother declined treatment for hers, and my mother had surgery twice to repair hers. She passed away after the second surgery, due to complications.

I'm terrified of developing it. I even paid to have an ultrasound scan to detect one. So far, I'm clear. However, my family doctor says I must carefully control my blood pressure AND my blood cholesterol in order to avoid or delay developing the AAA.

It's incredible the number of famous people who have had this!
