(Boy, I'm having all kinds of problems with posting this to the wrong board -- THIS looks like the right one!)

I'm converting over from the Atkins diet as it just doesn't seem to be for me. A gal at my Jazzercise class does this SugarBusters, so I thought I'd try it.

I'm looking for something to help me drop 10 pounds, relatively quickly, and something that I can continue to follow for the rest of my life. I don't want to have to diet anymore. Is this a good plan for that?

If anyone has other plan suggestions, chime on up. I've pretty much removed myself from the carbs (potatoes, pasta, bread, tortillas --which KILLS me) but I do enjoy an occasional Mich Ultra now and then. I need a diet that doesn't plummet your system back out of kilter if you have a few beers on the weekend while still watching out for those bad carbs.

Any thoughts?

CHARLIE,

Sorry we didn't see your post earlier.

First, welcome to another Floridian, we have quite a few on our board:D

SB is a great WOE but I wouldn't necessarily say you could drop 10lbs quickly, though everyone is different and you may be one of the lucky ones. It took me from Feb. to June to lose my last 10lbs. Patience is one of the main keys of being successful. Losing weight quickly, usually it comes back on just as quick when you do.

You CAN eat potatoes, pasta, tortillas and bread, they just have to be the right ones, using whole grains-you don't have to be deprived of these, this isn't Atkins.

Please join us on the weekly support board where we congregate, we start a new board each Monday. Just make sure you use the QUICK REPLY box at the bottom of any page, or hit POST REPLY (not new thread). We're all more than happy to help answer any questions that you have and we'd love for you to join us:D
