Hello everyone I'm jay, I'm 22 years old, and I live in Louisiana. I've been working out for almost a month now, and I just started SB a couple of weeks ago. The first week was without the book actually, I just kinda winged it. But I Borrowed the book from my grandfather and all I have to say is wow! I had no idea that alot of things I thought were good were actually bad. I knew about things like baked potatoes, rice, pasta, breads, etc. but some other things i had no clue even had sugar in them. Anyways, this is my second week and I haven't lost control yet, cept for one Peanut butter egg for Easter(sorry, I had to have one, it was Easter!). But I've shut down the sweets, alcohol, and all the whites of course, and I hope to see some changes. I've already lost a little bit but that was mainly due to the working out and not eating some of the things that I knew of before officially going on SB. I want to show everyone what my meals consist of since I've been doing this, and maybe get some opinions if this is good, or if I'm missing something.

Breakfast: Oatmeal w/ glass of water
Snack(sometimes): Apple
Lunch: Turkey on Whole-Wheat bread w/ little mayo, and lettuce w/ glass of water
Dinner: Various meats(Chicken, burgers, steaks, fish, etc.) w/ a salad, little ranch dressing, and a few real bacon bits, and glass of water.

That's pretty much it for the time being, I figure I stick to a certain fixed thing for each meal I'll be ok. But a queston I have is sometimes for breakfast, and after I work out, I drink a supplement called Muscle Milk. I wanna know if anyone knows if these supplements are bad for the SB diet. I only drink them if I'm running late, and can't fix breakfast, and after I work out. I don't binge on these drinks. Another thing that I'm kinda worried about at the moment is that I've been off of school this week for srping break, so like the cool college kid that I am, I'm gonna sleep late, so I don't wake up in the morning for breakfast like I do when I have school, I just go straight to lunch. I know breakfast is important, but will skipping breakfast have that much of an affect on me for the remainder of this week while I don't have to get up in the morning? Just a few questions I had, so i hope someone can help. Anyways, Thanks in advance, and everyone be safe. Peace

Jay

Hi Jay! Welcome to the board! Most of us hang out on the weekly support board. You will find you get more response there. When you open the forum, just hit reply, and not new thread. It may seem a bit ackward at first, but you get used to it!

As to the Muscle Milk. What is in it? Check the number of sugar grams per serving. If it is more than 3, it is not ok. My husband weight trains. I make him protein smoothies using Designer Whey, and milk. Sometimes I add some frozen fruit and sometimes he adds olive oil. (sounds gross to me, but he actually likes it! ) Often we rev them up the night before, so he can just grab it first thing.

Hope to see you on the weekly support thread! There are lots of nice folks on here, anxious to help!
