Up and at em chickies!

Coffee is Starbucks French Roast, yum!

Nice to see Giggles posting again. Hope you continue to visit. How is the family doing?

MamaJ, so glad that your lab results were good. Hope all is well with you.

Pooky, Don is being "Blade" the vampire guy (Wesley Snipes). Darren wanted to be a half soccer player half baseball player (which I felt I could easily create), he then wanted to be a 3 headed dog monster (from some new cards they are collecting) and now he wants to be a skeleton. We shall see! DH is going to be empirer Palpidon from star wars. I will just be a ghoul dressed in navy, purple and gold robes.

Peachie, Tell the dh/sh that you already have a very important job!

Hi to everyone else, have a great day!

Good Morning everyone!!! Jenny, Starbucks, yummy!!

Barb, sorry to hear about your Dad. Now is the time to just smother him with love.

peachie, he wants you to do what!!!:censored: husbands!!!!

jiff glad to hear the scale is going down again. My friend you are doing so well!! I'm so glad for you

sil, we can finally turn the AC off!! Do you think it's for good until next spring??? Don't we hope so! Sat at band practice last night covered with two blankets, one of the Dad's said to me, "you know it's probally 68 degrees." Hey, when you lose over 100 pounds of insulation it's a big change.

Janice, sorry to hear about your son's truck, but so glad it was recovered. Have you had a chance to see it it was damaged in any way?

Linda, never heard of that method of cleaning the wax out of your ears, sounds interesting. Enjoy your daughter!

Sherrie, boy do I remember the days of ear infections. That little Tommie is one tough customer, I think she gets it from her Mommy!!! Strong women, breed strong women!

To everyone else

I hope to get the results of the x-rays later today. The tech wanted to know how long ago I had the chest tubes, he told me he could see scar tissue, but he didn't say anything about the hiney x-ray. I'm so glad he could see the scar tissue in the lung area, cause that is the pain that sent me back to the hospital and started my 3 month odyssey. I needed to know it was scar tissue causing it and not a repeat of "other" things.

I have NOTHING on my plate today, nothing outside the house anyway! And it feels so good!!! I think a friend will come over and we will drink coffee all morning and talk about what we SHOULD be doing. Oh well!!!!

Have a good one all

Back - dogs are fed and DH is turned on and started for the day. I think he is going to need a new battery soon!

Vent Alert! I'm angry with myself today! Weight is holding at 207 because of extras every day or evening! Gotta get a grip! At least I'm holding but have also been adding extras as I feel a bit sorry for myself. Calories DO count and low carb mixed with hi-carb "treats" does NOT work! WW keeps crossing my mind - but not for long. I know I'd join and end up going just for weigh-in and eventually not going if I gained! I know! I know! Grow up! I am going to try journalling again and will chose low GI carbs when I must have a carb!

Dondar, be sure to post pictures of the boys in their Hallowe'en getups - and of you and DH too! I am going to get out my fall/Halloween decorations today. I'm so far behind with stuff like that this year I should get out the Christmas stuff too!

Debkay, I hope the X-ray results are good for ya. I laughed over your blanket story - losing weight certainly does rob you of your insulation! Good thing you don't live here in the Great White North.

Peachie, is he nuts? Why would you want to do a dumb thing like that? We need you in here to teach us crafts.

Jiff, hang in there! You know you are a very strong woman and the situation will resolve istself with a little help from J&J, we hope.

Barb, thinking of you a lot this week. It's so nice you are finally online from work. Be sure to keep us posted.

Linda, now I am wondering what the heck IS inside my ears. Maybe I should get them candled. I do remember my Mother putting something in them to clear the wax - peroxide, maybe? It sure crackled and popped and I hated it. Another wonderful childhood memory - right up there with getting a Toni Home Permanent!

Have to take DH and his car in to the dealer this morning to get some crazy security check thing disengaged. It's driving us nuts because the motor won't start unless you go through some weird sequence of moves - like turning on the radio and swivelling the mirrors! This is a 2nd hand car and the previous owner must have been RCMP!

Big wave  to the rest of us wonderful women!

sigh....I'd write more but I have to run and get the little guy new pants. A new Kohl's opened up!

This might be the last post from me. I think they are going to come pick me up and haul me away because I get the "bad mommy award"

The little guy is so skinny I don't have any pants for him that don't fall off of him. Today I picked a pair that is a little snug but wouldn't fall off. So, we were rushing to get the bus and he had to poop and then poop again and I zipped up his jeans in a hurry and caught his little weenie. AND HE SAYS AS HE IS EXAMINING IT, "MOMMY, YOU ALWAYS HURT ME!"

soooooo....this is it, I'm a gonner. If they didn't believe that the bump on his head was a reaction to a mosquito bite, I have little hope for this.

love you all,
it's been fun
do you think I'll look fat in those horizontal stripes?

Aw, Peachie. What kind of cake do you want? I have a file to send but am unsure of your favourite kind of cake. Maybe garlic bread instead?

Boy prune you escaped quick!! Or have they already picked you up. Just called and hubby said you were gone already!!!

Aren't little boys just so much fun! Don't mean to make light of the little guys pain, but I had to laugh.

Okay, how many women did this when potty training their little boys? Jenny, peach. I had my little boys using tp after they went number 1, my hubby informed me, boys don't wipe, they shake.

Okay, can you tell I have nothing to do today..

Ever notice how, when men pump gas they shake the pump before pulling it out of the gas tank!

I know, I know, I'll leave now.

Hi ladies
Just a short note to say "hello" and to thank you for the laughs this morning:lol: I haven't had a chance to catch-up on yesterdays posts yet (visiting with my son) but I'm headed there now.
Also, where is everybody that joined the Boot Camp? Come on ladies.

Oy!*&*%## I got a speeding ticket trying to make my 8am ultrasound! Grrr... My first one too. The cop gave me a break though, my ticket is on $50 but could have been $150 and 3 demerits on my license if he put down what I was really going.:chin:  :D

I am in the midst of serious house cleaning--just 2 more weks till I have the board here and let's just say the house is a wreck. I'm going to ave to nail down dh to get the knobs on the kitchen cabinets and I'm going to have to finish painting the trim. Then there are the carpets that are crying for a good cleaning. That's at least a 3 day job right there.

Anyhoo, gotta run and I hope you all have a great day! :)

One of my favorite stories is of a friend who was so intent on making sure they used "proper" names for everything instead of nicknames (ie: weenie) until one day they were in a busy shopping mall and he was acting up and she reached over to pinch his leg and he hollered as loud as he could "mother you are hurting my penis!"" From then on it was nicknames for everything!!!

Yes, I'm on a quick .com break, I'll be back when I can stay a while.

Peachie- I think you should get a job at a crafts store. That would show him. Just think of the discounts. LOL On a side note, DH thinks you're a bad influence, I'm crafting again. I'm trying out Polymer Clay this time. And I think DSS and I will be scrapbooking this weekend. Very messy. Can't wait.

LOL don't tell anyone but my boys still sit. I told thm anything that lands on the floor or walls they have to clean so at 5 and 8 they still sit!

Love the ear candels too. I have been doing it for about 5 years. Amazing how much stuff comes out and a very relaxing as the person holding the candel massages the ear canal too.

Peach…Nuff said, I tell my SIL to feed her kid or someone is going to start giving him 40 cents a day. She has the same pants problem.

As for me... i too have a SHDH. I have invited all of the mom's from little man's class next Tues. DH has closing day for some golf league. I told him the other day that for all that he does with the kids I could hire a baby sitter and it would cost me less in aggravation, laundry and food than it does to keep him around!

DEEP BREATH....
Jiff good job....it is nice to see the scale move in the right direction.

My gym friends have told me I have become obsessive compulsive. I have been exercising a lot and loving it. Ruth knows from way back how much I love it...my surgery last October put me off for a whole year....So needless to say I have done my workout and feeling fresh after a shower.

Have a good day ladies and I too will end with a joke keeping with the theme

What's The Difference Between Roast Beef And Pea Soup?

Anyone Can Roast Beef.

I thought shdh was going to fall over in the surgeons office as I was repeating the "weenie" to gas nozzle "shake" stories! The receptionist looked thru her little window (think she overheard part of it prior) and was laffing so hard. Needless to say the staff were all making comments on how many zipper weenies they've seen in their life to "come to think of it, my dh always shakes that last drop of gas out!".

LS~~~ :joker: That was so corny it had to be hilarious!!!!

Well, the day is shot after three hours at the surgeons office. I'll post more detail on the original "weight loss surgery discussion" thread.

Hey Pooky~I too got the first ticket of my life on Monday! I'm so frustrated with shdh! I was NOT speeding, just minding my own business coming home (about 1/2 from house) when I got pulled over. I was shaking like a leaf-now what????? Seems they randomly run tags as they're driving along. No outstanding tickets, etc., on me BUT shdh was supposed to renew the registration in June !!! Only one of the reasons he's on my s**t list.

Peachie~ Please inform your shdh that you do have a job!! Full time mom, housework, wife, cleaning woman, laundry maid, cook, scrubbing toilets....should I continue???? Now, if he's talking bringing in additional income I think he's the one that should be ....:censored: You have enough stress on your plate !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Should we send the CHICK BRIGADE ????

Mammogram scheduled for tomorrow! Anyone want to share some smooshy booby stories?

Luv to all!

J

PS~Kel, good to know a few smilies brought you out of lurkdom! Great to see you!

oh you ladies are the BEST!!!! i've been giggling out loud as i sit here at the end of the work day!!! yeah. i should be going home, but i'm still here.

and more work at home tonight as well.

and dyan.. i LOVE that polymer clay!!! it's so easy to work with and takes all kinds of paints and markers and layering and mixing and and and and!!!!

and peachie. please PLEASE get a job at a crafts store!!! just think of all the fun we can have!!! your mother can help!!!

as usual, work sucks. but things are even ickier. i have an infection in my left big toe. not a big deal, right? WRONG. it's actually kind of an emergency since my left leg has no lymphatics, which is what clears infections!!!! so, a quick trip to the doc this morning for antibiotics, and a trip to the podiatrist tomorrow to have the toenail fixed and the infection lanced. ick!!!

and it still gets worse!!!! they found something wrong with my knee, so it's off to the orthopedist next week. after a follow up with the surgeon. i've had just about enough of these damn fool docs...

as long as they do what i want, MAYBE I can handle it...

more later, i hope. if not... love you all..

ROTFLMAO!!
A woman at my Fall WOrkshop the other day told a joke. I hope I get it right.
This lady was at the bank (a solemn, quiet place) and her little boy was acting up, just being a general nuisance as kids will be. She picked him up and plunked him down on the counter quite hard and he shouted "MOM! YOU BROKE MY BALLS!" Shocked silence in the bank. Red faced mother frantically trying to shush loudmouth kid. Then the little fellow pulls his two crushed pingpong balls out of his back pockets and says "See, I told you that you broke my balls!"

BTW, I've always thought that men should use tissue as well. I just don't think shaking does the job properly.

Who else has been on a carb bender? Looks like a few of us have been bitten by the same bug. :o Last night, after everyone was in bed, I ate the last of the chocolate frosting out of the tin..must have been 1/2 cup. YUCK! Today I'm on my own as visiting daughter has taken my car to go and visit friends. I was fine until I had lunch. Lunch was fine, a low carb soup. Then I had a dinner roll with some butter, turkey loaf and mayo. That STILL wasn't enough and I got into a bag of caramel apple chips, dipped in caramel sauce no less. By this time I'm feeling sick and bloated but did that stop me?? Nope, I dug in the freezer and found two long lost blueberry waffles, toasted them up and served them up with butter and syrup. WHAT IS MAKING ME DO THIS?? Last week I had a nice 3 lb loss and this week I'm doing my darnedest to gain them back. I've got to get back on track because this is really not healthy. I'm scared. :?:

Peachie, just ignore your DH. Mine tells me all the time that I have to go out and get a job. I tell him just living with him is job enough for anyone. Who the heck wants to hire a 59 year old has been anyhow? Besides, it wouldn't slow him down. He always says that if I got a job, he could retire, but I worked outside the home for years and he still put in a 12 hour day and worked six or seven days a week. My working made no difference.

Well, after one sick child who's babysitter was MIA until 10:30, then left work at 1 p.m. to help sis who had to go to emergency room and I JUST NOW GOT HOME! Do you ever get the feeling you have 8 or 9 kids and only gave birth to 1????? I hope I don't catch the stomach flu that she caught from her baby, that led to a shot of phenegrin and 3 bags of IV fluids. Spew takes on a new meaning now! I am exhausted, and I just wanted to let you all know, I'll read today's posts tomorrow, there's just too darn many of them! I love when the board is busy.

Goodnight, Johnboy!
