View Full Version : Does anyone use the Lesile Samone Walk tapes? ageoldie 09-22-2002, 11:08 PM I've heard a lot about these tpes and was wondering if any of you guy used them? I just bougth one called Walk & Firm for Seniors. I haven't looked at it yet, but will soon. nasus40 09-22-2002, 11:19 PM I believe there are a few on the 100's club that do them and really lke them SonoGranny 09-22-2002, 11:34 PM Barb..... I bought the "Walk Away the Pounds" set of 3 (1 mile, 2 mile and 3 mile) which comes with the weighted balls...... I've done the 1mile (granted, I only did it 3 times!! :o, but still, I DID it!)..... it's not bad for us "oldies".... I had trouble using the weight with my right hand (for some reason my elbow seems to be really sore the last couple of months)....... but doing it without was still good...... my resolution for the boot camp will be to do it AT LEAST 3 times per week! PB2 10-02-2002, 05:01 PM The Leslie Sansone tapes are terrific! I like them because they are simple to follow and don't require a huge time committment. I use a Leslie 30 minute tape every morning that is walking and free weights....I have about 6 of her tapes but this is my favorite. busdriver 10-03-2002, 12:16 AM Got my tapes in mail yesterday. Watched the 1 mile tape with the belt and stretch bands. Going to give it a try tomorrow. Looks like she keeps you motivated. Thats what I need. Jennifer 3FC 10-03-2002, 12:27 AM Ruth, did you buy the one for Abs? They had stretch bands on that infomercial...let us know if they are good! I heard good things about the regular walking tapes, so I bet these are good also. Ruthxxx 10-03-2002, 08:29 AM Now there's a good reminder. I got the LS walking tapes last Spring and used them once. The dogs thought I was playing with them and kept leaping and bounding while I walked in one place. DH sat and gawked at the show. I guess they will be banned from the TV room from now in when I use the tapes AND I AM DOING THEM TODAY! aleka 10-03-2002, 05:34 PM I also have the 1 mile, 2 mile, & 3 mile Walk Away the Pounds. I am doing the 2 mile one with the weighted balls. I love these tapes. I have a whole library of her walking tapes. busdriver 10-03-2002, 10:12 PM Hi: I started walking to the first tape which is "walking away the pounds for abs mile 1. It was great. Its the first time in a long time that I started something and finished it in the way of exercise. I have Mile2,3. It has the stretch cords which were not hard to do . I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I plan on doing mile 1 for a week and then advancing to 2-3. I was giggling to myself all day because I actually had fun. She is a very motivating person. Try it. Ruth busdriver 10-03-2002, 10:16 PM Ruth, give them a try. I had lots of fun and was so proud that I kept up with the class and look forward to tomorrow. Yes one of my poodles thought I was dancing and should be part of of the routine too. LOL. Jennifer 3FC 10-03-2002, 10:34 PM Ruth, did you buy the Ab tapes local, or did you order online? Jennifer JoJoJo2 10-04-2002, 12:18 PM I have the one called "Walk & Firm for older adults" and it is great!! I highly recommend it for older individuals or those who are needing to get active but are not ready for more challenging workouts. We all need to keep active, no matter what our age - busdriver 10-04-2002, 12:19 PM I bought them off the tv informercial. aleka 10-04-2002, 12:25 PM She also has a website where you can order her tapes and she's starting a new diet and exercise program on her website. www.lesliesansone.com She also makes appearances on QVC selling her exercise tapes. Jennifer 3FC 10-05-2002, 01:07 AM Ooh, thanks for the site! I went and was suprised at the price. I thought the infomerical was for 2 payments of 39.95, but the site just says 39.95. I wonder if it is missing anything. Ruth, was your infomerical buy for 2 payments? Was that for more than 3 tapes and the ab bands? aleka 10-05-2002, 08:14 AM Jennifer, If you can catch her on QVC, or go to the QVC website, the tapes are usually cheaper than on the infomercial. I think she's going to be on later this month. Also, after I got my Walk Away the Pounds tapes, I saw a lot of them in Sams Club cheaper than what I paid when I ordered them off her website. :censored: I think $39.95 is what I paid for the Walk Away the Pounds w/weighted balls. I don't know about the ones with the belt. SonoGranny 10-05-2002, 09:00 AM Jennifer - I ordered my Walkaway tapes (the ones with the weighted balls) from the LS site..... after 6 weeks I called to check on my order...... was told that there had been a mfr delay, and could I please call back later that week....... when I called back the FOLLOWING week, was told they had NO record of my order!!!! And would I like to re-order? I said "@#$%^& NO!!" and I went to the QVC web site and ordered them there-- they came in 3 days and the shipping was 3 or 4$ less!! busdriver 10-05-2002, 11:32 AM It was for 1 price of $39.99. busdriver 10-05-2002, 11:55 AM Jennifer. I paid $39.99 for everything l 3 tapes and walk away belt. I am so excited about it. I have done twice so far. Thats every day since I started. Will do the 2 mile Monday. It is truly worth the cost. busdriver 10-05-2002, 06:55 PM The $39.99 covered everything. The walk belt and 3 tapes. busdriver 10-06-2002, 10:00 PM Jennifer I keep answering your message and don't seem to get posted. Here goes again. My $39 was for everything. 3 tapes and the ab belt Jennifer 3FC 10-06-2002, 10:16 PM Thanks everybody! I will order it, probably from QVC! Ruth, I am glad you are excited about them. It sure is nice to be active! busdriver 10-07-2002, 04:08 PM I can't seem to get posted on the message board. This is my last try. Yes Jennifer, I paid 1 price of $39.99 and got 3 tapes and the belt and stretch cords. Ruth busdriver 10-07-2002, 04:10 PM Please excuse my ignorance. I see I made the message quite a number of times. Ruth Leenie 10-07-2002, 04:50 PM BusDriver HEY WOMAN, havent seen you in a long time. Nice to see your still with us. Huggs, Leenie ageoldie 10-07-2002, 06:01 PM You shamed me into action. I took the wrapper of my tape and watched it. Maybe one of these days I'll actually exercise with it. Seriously, I really liked what I saw, but it is so near what I do in water aerobics, I think I'll use it on days that I don't make it to the club. It does seem like it's a pretty good tape. busdriver 10-07-2002, 10:30 PM Hi Leens: It has been a long time. I haven't been on the chat I can't tell you when. How have you been? Drop me a line and let me know how you've been. Ruth busdriver 10-07-2002, 10:33 PM Hi ageoldie: Glad you took the wrapper off. Thats the 1st step.Went to a used book store saturday looking for more of her tapes. No luck. I'll work with the 3 I have for awhile and then consider more. Starting the 2 mile tomorrow. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
