I am new to the forum but have been on the diet for about 2 months. In the last 3 weeks I have only been averaging about a 1/2 lbs a visit. The first 25 lbs just seem to fall off but it is really discouraging to only lose 1/2 lbs or nothing and work so hard at it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get through this?

Up your water, add a HNS (if allowed on your menu). Up your exercise. I have been doing 1/2 pond a visit the whole time! LOL I have little cheats though. You also might try the Metaquick. I am not the best role model, but hope it helps!

I know it is tough but try and stay on plan and the scale will move. My counselor says a lot of women plateau around 30 lbs. I have been at 34 - 35.5 for about the last six weeks. I think I am finally going to lose this week though.

Guess I should be happy after reading others stalling out at the same weight for weeks. I was down another 1/2 this visit also.:dizzy:

I was wondering when the plateaus would hit, and I guessed about 30 lbs. Try to find a good person there-- at my center, the people all have different styles, and some of them are super-diligent about looking at what you're doing and others not so much. So, find the detailed one, and she should be able to give you some suggestions. My person said a lot of water, extra HNS, and more intense exercise. Also, re-examine you're menu and make sure you're doing absolutely everything right. If you don't look at your menu every now and again, it's easy to get into a habit of eating something not on your menu or too much of something that is just because you forget what's really there.

You are right each of the counselors have a differant style and some are more dilligent than others. One just pointed out that I shouldn't be eating feta cheese (even if it is low-fat type). I had been eating if for about a month on and off. Knocked it out of my food cycle for now. Will see what Friday brings.

I am in the same boat, have been back and forth between 204 and 202 for the past few weeks.... The lady at my center says that sometimes its really hard to get past that 200 mark, and plateaus can sometimes be more of a mental thing than what you are actually eating or doing on the diet....
I am starting the Metaquick today and am very excited about it, i think it will be that final little push to get me out of the 200's. I think my plateau hit right at 30 Lbs too... Don't give up!

Agree....plateua's are difficult, however if you persist long enough you are sure to continue to push through it. Good Luck with it. Sounds like you will get there! :)
