Hi Everyone,

I have been "lurking" for sometime and decided to give Medifast a real go. I have 136lbs (GULP!) to lose and have felt helpless and felt that I couldn't do it. I feel a gleam of hope. I would love to have some buddies that can help (and I can help too) on my journey!

Thanks!

Hey there, I have also been "lurking" and I am new to Medifast as well. I am on day two so far, and I'm really hungry! I know my body will probably adjust soon, so I will live. I could also use some words of encouragement because I have failed every diet I have tried so far. I am also getting married in June, and my wedding dress is to small on me. Yikes!

I just ordered my medifast today and I should get it before the end of the week. I can't wait! I did this two years ago and lost a lot of weight my first month and then that encouraged me to workout at the gym after that. What I loved about Medifast was it helped my belly weight! I look forward to hearing how you all are doing!

YOu can do this!!!! I've been on MF for nearly 8 weeks. I've lost 28 pounds. I lost 20 pounds in teh first month.

This second month hasn't been great and it's not MF's fault. I got really sick and didn't eat right, didn't make great choices, etc. I'm trying to get 100% back on plan right now.

Good luck!

Hi Daisies! I understand wanting to crawl in a hole and I haven't even started yet! I had a good long real look in the morror and I cried hysterically. I am sooo hoping this will be an answer for me.... I get afraid that I am destinied to be obese forever.

I just ordered my shipment this evening! Gotta admit I am a bit nervous. I have the thought too about hoping I don't fail this time too. I have been overweight (actually obese) for my entire adult life and tried numerous diets some 5+ times and always failed. I just want to lose this weight and start a new chapter in my life. If I get my shipment before the weekend I will probably wait until Monday to start since we already have a dinner planned for Easter with my whole family.

Glad there is going to be a few of starting at the same time!

SHannon, most likely you won't receive your order until mid next week. You can start preparing though. Start increasing your intake of water (they suggest 64 oz each day.) You can also start decreasing your carb and sugar intake. Good luck girlie and we are here for you.

I am glad now that I had started the South Beach diet about 10 days ago. Thankfully I am out of the sugar deprivation stage. Still need to work on my water though. Thanks for the advice, Hope2BLosing!

Thanks, Nay75! I bet you do great too! It is so nice to have support from fellow dieters!

Welcome everyone! :bunny2:

I just wanted to second what Samara said, start cutting back on the carbs a bit. I didn't have any headache and I wasn't hungry the first few days. Remember to get all 5 MF meals in, don't skip and eat every 3 hours. If you slip, get right back on without a second thought. I found it much easier to follow than other diets because the choices weren't there for me. I had no slips and I am normally a slipper!

Drink the water so things keep moving through your system.

MEASURE yourself!! When the pounds are not shifting, often you'll see inches coming off.

And lastly, try not to get discouraged if you don't lose 20 the first month!

Good luck newbies!!

Good morning Nay,
Congrats on your 8+ lb loss!!!! Good for you! Today was my first weigh-in day. I only lost 5 lbs. I was hoping for more, but I'm not complaining. I hope I'm doing everything right. We went away for the weekend and I wasn't able to get all of my meals in, but I didn't eat off the plan. My goal for week 2 is to drink ALL of my water and lose even more. You're doing great.

P.S. Do you have to add your tracker every time you post or should it come up automatically?

Fluffy08 - Congrats on the weight loss so far! 5 pounds is still great! As far as the tracker, if you go under User CP at the top and edit your signature you can copy and paste your tracker into there so that everytime you post a message it will show up. Hope that helps! :)
