Stuffed Mushrooms - 2 Points Recipe By :The American Heart Association Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Appetizers Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 pound mushrooms 2 tablespoons oil 10 ounces frozen chopped spinach -- package 2 cloves garlic -- minced 2 egg whites -- slightly beaten freshly ground black pepper 1/2 cup bread crumbs, seasoned -- Italian style 1. Wipe mushrooms and remove caps. Sauté whole caps quickly in oil. 2. Chop mushroom stems. 3. Cook spinach according to package directions along with chopped mushrooms. Drain and squeeze to eliminate excess water; combine with egg whites and bread crumbs. 4. Fill mushroom caps with the spinach mixture. 5. Place in an oiled ovenproof dish and bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes. Approx. calories per serving: 110.
