Default How can I add a table to a post?

Is it possible to use a table in a post to make columns line up neatly?

For instance: If I want to list something like this:

Date Weight Change TotalChange
3/21 216.5 -.1 -.1
3/28 216.2 -.3 -.4

... can I get the columns to line up nice?

I tried what I thought would work, but it doesn't seem to:

[TABLE][TD][TR]Date[/TD][TD]Weight[/TD][TD]Change[/TD][TD]TotalChange[/TD][/TR][TR][TD]3/21[/TD][TD]216.5[/TD][TD]-.1[/TD][TD]-.1[/TD][/TR][TR][TD]3/28[/TD][TD]216.2[/TD][TD]-.3[/TD][TD]-.4[/TD][/TR][/TABLE]

Any tips?

If you have a high tolerance for inelegance, try:
Code:
Date Weight Change TotalChange
3/21 216.5 -.1 -.1
3/28 216.2 -.3 -.4
That was created by [code]
Date Weight Change TotalChange
3/21 216.5 -.1 -.1
3/28 216.2 -.3 -.4[/code]

I aligned the columns using Notepad's fixed width font. The spaces in my input don't show above which demonstrates that even when using Courier font, spaces are compressed.

I wish your Table example worked, but I've never found a way to do that.

Good luck.

Yep, exactly what I did. It looked like this in notepad:
PHP Code:
[code]
Date Weight Change TotalChange
3
/21  216.5    -.1         -.1
3
/28  216.2    -.3         -.4[/code
