How do I get myself a ticker on this site?
 

Hi everyone,

I would like a ticker, do you know how to have one?

If you go to quick links you can create your tracker there where it says sig weight tracker, BUT I have no clue where you post it at :/

You need to be here 20 days and have 20 posts before you can get a ticker.

Once you have met that criteria, you will go to Announcements and Forum help, and follow the sticky about signature and ticker thread.

^ agreed. The option to 'Edit Signature' will appear after 20 posts and 20 days. Until then, you have to wait. I read a post from a moderator somewhere on the forum this is because they had complications revolving signatures. No further explanation was given :)

Ruthxxx Why does 3FC have this rule?

I'm not Ruth, but it's to prevent spammers. The tickers are essentially links. We had a large number of spammers join, who would post semi-related or nonsense posts all around the board, then add a spam link in their signature, meaning the spam was now EVERYWHERE and there was no way to catch it until someone reported it.

BTW; I LOVED the spammer of the day today, the one who misspelled "tips"...:lol:
