S/C/G: Lost 50 lbs, regained some

Height: 5'3"

Default "First Unread" isn't working

Hi,

In the past, the site tracked what the last post I read was on a thread, and if I clicked to go to the first unread post, that's what I'd get. I recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 9, and now the site still keeps track of my last visit and shows me threads that have new posts since then, but it won't take me to the first unread anymore. I keep having to wade through older posts (though not from the very beginning of the thread--seems to be just those since the upgrade).

Any ideas? Is there a setting I need to adjust?

Jay

I've noticed the same thing, but I have a mac so I have Safari v.5. LOVE this forum, but it would be so helpful if that feature was functioning...

I haven't heard of anything like this. I use Firefox on a Mac and it works for me.

I wonder if it could be something new in your privacy settings affecting cookies?

I have a mac, but whether a mac or a PC, I prefer Mozilla Firefox. I recommend it to everyone!

I'm having this problem also. We have a new computer with Windows 7 but it worked fine for the first week, then stopped working. However, the 'last read' function works fine on other forums, but not on Chicks.

I'm having this problem this week, but only using Firefox on Mac not when I view the forum from another computer or my phone.

I'm having this problem too, using firefox on windows 7. I tried logging out and logging back in, but no luck. For me the "next thread" also isn't working.

Could it be a firefox add-on affecting it? Try disabling any add-ons temporarily and see if that changes it. Many add-ons are created by individuals and not firefox, so they may not be fully tested.

That's just a guess, because I've seen add-ons affect similar things on other sites.

I've having this too and I check this forum on 3 different computers that use Mac, Windows and Ubuntu and using both Firefox and Epiphany. I also keep having a lot of threads that are marked unread when I've already read them. Has anybody found a solution? This only happens on 3FC for me.

I'm on a mac and it works for me using both Firefox and Safari.

I've passed this along to tech, hopefully they are familiar with the issue and can offer a solution.

Just to throw this out there, I use a PC and Google Chrome, and it's also happening for me. Glad it's being checked into, thanks
