I am very impressed with the number of people that showed up to vote. I am happy that people care enough to spend time in line, no matter who they vote for. It is better then apathy.
Jessica - Ellis is right! It is important to you, and losing it, temporarily, is OK.
I am waiting for my phone here at work to start ringing. When I left my mother's house this morning there was a healthy 2 year old, and 2 sick adults. My mom is out of town. My sisters are home sick with the stomach bug munchkin had yesterday. He is also home, but feeling MUCH better. Somehow I don't see this a working well.
Jessica - don't feel silly for losing it, this election was important to a lot of people and if you felt passionately about it then I can totally understand being that upset. I was depressed yesterday and last night while watching the news my DH said he felt like there was a weight on his chest pressing down - funny, that is exactly what I felt too - ****, we're not even American and this election has had us on the edge of our seats!
Don't feel bad. I went on a cursing spree when not only did my guy concede but then I also talked to my mom back home and she told me about the EXTREMELY low voter turnout in her area. We will get through though.
The date was HELLA COOL! We went to dinner - Michigan Salad for me, plenty of protein, lots of veggies, lite on the dressing and then hit a karaoke spot. He is too cute to trust though so I am gonna try not to get caught up. Does that sound cynical? Yep, and that's ME!
Jessica don't stress over it I gained 10 pounds over a weekend before.... Not a proud thing to admit but go off of Atkins and eat like a regular person and well #)@*%& happens. You will lose it back in no time.
Tiki - Congrats on the cheering!!!!! That is a great accomplishment.
Tiki - My little sister used to SWEAR that if they guy kissed well, that he was a player and she would be super cautious but if he didn't, he was boyfriend material. Her reasoning is that guys who kiss well have had too much practice! (And you can always teach a bad kisser to be a good kisser!).

SO TRUE!! That's why I married who I did. I was able to train the virgin!! Well....that and I do love him to pieces.
Sounds likea fun time, Tiki!! Enjoy it and soak it all up dear. "Cause you're worth it."
That's right Mauv!! Ha ha they had to eat their words!!
Everyone said hub and I wouldn't last..."He's too old fashioned for you...you're going to be homesick moving away...etc.." Well, this weekend we're going away to celebrate our 11th anniversay. And we've been together since March 9th, 1992...so they had to eat their words too. HA!!
We also celebrate the March 9th anniversary...at DENNYS. Reason being is because that's where we met in person. So every year on March 9th...we go brave the lousy food and service and chow down to memories. Warped I know..but cute.
Mauv - I'm in your boat. The Cute Boyfriend was a super excellent kisser AND a huge SLUT! Luckily, he realized he could be a slut... just only with me!!!
Noodles, that is so sweet! Happy Anniversary, hon, and many more!!
Yes, I'm with you girls. My DH is a babe, and I must say, I was always wary of good-looking men. We've been together for 18 years, though, and he's still mine.
